Located behind the Valletta government and commercial street, it is a 300-year-old hotel that is not only clean and tidy, but also luxurious and elegant. If the system address is incorrectly located, we will navigate to the 12th. Actually, we will go down another 150 meters to reach the 76th, which is next to the church. Need the agent to send us a 4-digit reservation code, which is the door code, this must be confirmed with Ctrip in advance. The back of the hotel is a bustling pedestrian street. Going right and turning is a few passages that lead to the sea. A 50-meter left turn is a big supermarket.

From the moment of booking to the moment of departure, Domus Zamitello never fell short of perfection for us. The staff kept closely in touch by email following our initial reservation, in order to establish and then provide for our needs. Any request that we made by email was greeted with a helpful and accommodating response within minutes. We asked for a suite with a bath: that was guaranteed almost immediately. We asked for help arranging a transfer from the airport: that was arranged straight away. Online check-in meant that there was no delay when we arrived. Upon arrival (at the limit of the area accessible by cars), we were offered assistance with our luggage by the porters. The location is perfect: right on Republic Street (the main shopping street in Valletta), but 5 minutes walk to the Barakka Gardens, 5 minutes walk to St John’s Co-Cathedral, and an easy walk to restaurants and theatres. The suite - like the rest of the hotel - was beautiful: full of character and charm; beautifully finished, preserving the stunning historical features, but with high quality modern fittings and facilities. The staff went to exceptional lengths to make our stay an enjoyable one. They stopped at nothing to help us - even lending us an umbrella when we departed for the airport, suggesting that we just leave it with the driver once at the airport. The hotel also works with friendly and trustworthy providers - Malcolm, our taxi driver for our last day, was booked by the hotel and offered a wonderful service. He drove us to Mdina and looked after our bags for the day before returning to collect us a few hours later. The hotel also offers fair pricing - the contents of the mini-bar (often a litmus test for over-pricing) were modestly priced, and the hotel restaurant (which offers dishes prepared by chefs who work in tandem with Rubino restaurant in Old Bakery Street) provides a high quality menu at prices which compare very fairly with restaurants locally within the city. So, our thanks are fulsomely due to Sandra, Fole, Teresa and the rest of the team for a wonderful stay - the hotel thoroughly deserves its rating as the No 1 in Valletta, and the staff will surely help to sustain that.

Hotels in Valletta always give something special, they are located in the historical town houses and embrace a beautiful atmosphere. This hotel definitely has this. We had a room with balcony, which was nice to sit outside on a warm evening, the room was covered in blue & gold. On the rooftop there is a jacuzzi, unfortunately views over the city are limited. Breakfast was served à la carte and quite tasty, although quite slow. All tourist attractions are on walking distance and there are many restaurants and bars around. Hotels in Valletta are not cheap, but staying in this historical city of knights is a great experience.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights and then I returned the next week. Not only is this building a beautifully restored old Maltese building on one of the funnest streets in Valletta, but everything from the breakfast, to the finishing touches of your stay are considered and detailed. Everything about this guest house is luxury. The owners are also absolutely incredible, they support you in thinking through next steps and planning adventures, but for me, they supported me in finding a securing a COVID test for flying when mine failed to come though on time. Using their own personal connections, I was then driven out to the testing centre and driven back. The support I received for this was overwhelming and just goes to show you that your stay here will be not only perfect, but will also be supportive should you need it. This guest house is an absolute must stay in Valletta.

I did have certain expectations due to excellent reviews, but my stay was much, much better than I could have imagined. We were booked for one week in May, but due to the virus we had to postpone. Finally we've decided to come for the whole 2 weeks in October and it was the best choice ever. From the moment of our arrival we ware taken care of by the whole staff in the most gracious and pleasant way possible. Greeted with a glass of Prosecco in a beautiful lobby, the room was ready and waiting for us. It was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. The design is indeed outstanding, the bed comfy and big, bathroom spacious, with all the necessary amenities and great quality cosmetics. I can highly recommend choosing the number 106 which faces the street and was absolutely splendid. As you can expect, there is a coffee machine, complimentary water and safe. Wardrobe huge enough to accommodate all our clothes. Due to the Coronavirus, breakfast is served a la carte, which takes a bit of time but is really worth waiting for. You can choose from a large array of quality foods and drinks. It is absolutely tasty and coffee is much better than in most hotels we've visited. You should definitely try egg muffins or the aubergine paste! Great choice of cold cuts including local cheeses, which I absolutely adored. The roof terrace with a swimming pool was excellent for relaxations and taking a quick dip. The water was a bit cool, but that was to be expected in the middle of October. There is a great-looking SPA in the hotel, but unfortunately due to the Covid it was temporarily closed. The location of a hotel is more than perfect. Lots of excellent restaurants and shops just a few steps away. After two weeks we did find one, in which we started to feel like at home and ate most of the menu there. The town is lively, and lots of live music concerts to choose from. All the main attractions of Valletta are just a stone's throw from the hotel. It is worth mentioning, that everything in the hotel is easily accessible and more than perfect for the disabled people including huge showers. However, no matter how long I can write good things about the hotel itself, the most precious, amazing and outstanding feature, that greatly differentiates it from other establishments are the staff. They make you feel welcome and they are most helpful! Starting from the cleaning ladies and finishing at the manager- they are all amazing people, oriented at your well-being, determined to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. I do have to mention Mr Edwin who is a real gem of a worker. Not only did he take time to show me the whole premises of the hotel, describe it's history and all the renovations, but one time during breakfast he just came to our table and asked if we did try the traditional pastizzi. When we said that not yet, he just disappeared into the morning rain and brought us four huge, steaming hot, delicious pastizzi. That was absolutely unexpected and made us fee

【position】 The hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Valletta, also in the commercial shopping district, about 3 minutes walk from the bus terminal, and 3 minutes walk to the ferry terminal in Sliema Sliema (the nearest road is going up and down the stairs, around the distance) There is no need to go up and down the stairs but the time is a little longer. There is only one street away from the famous Old Mint Street and 15-20 minutes by bus from the airport. Although the Osborne Hotel is no more luxurious than the Excelsior Hotel, the location of the "center of the center" can be a comfortable hotel of this level. I think the price/performance ratio is one of the best in Valletta, the capital of Malta. 【facility】 I am a girl traveling, belonging to leisure travel, living in a big bed room. Although there is no ordinary hotel standard room, but there are all kinds of teapots, there are free coffee / Chuan Ning tea bags, spare blankets, large bath towels for rooftop swimming, hangers. There are so many plugs in the room that you can charge several devices at the same time (requires a conversion plug). The bathroom has a separate glass shower room with shampoo/conditioner/shower/soap/mouth cup/paper/hand paper, but no toothbrush (toothbrush). The air conditioning in the room is very rushing and easy to adjust. The overall accommodation experience is very comfortable. [meals] The buffet breakfast included in the room rate is quite satisfactory. In addition, I experienced a two-night hotel buffet dinner, which is considered to be a good rule. It is enough to eat. It is not good to eat. The in-house guests will have a discount for lunch and dinner at the hotel. It is cheaper than outsiders to eat, lunch and dinner. A person is 14.95 euros, still self-help, just eat. Hong Kong, this price is really expensive in developed countries in Europe (Malta is very rich). If you are in a developed country in Europe, you can go to the restaurant for lunch and dinner. A meal is usually 20 euros per person. This is the normal price. Not expensive for a fine restaurant. Even an ordinary pizza shop requires a pizza and a drink to be 20 euros. So if you have a limited budget and don't want to eat roadside sandwiches or McDonald's, you can't buy food and cook, and don't know what to eat. It's a good choice at the hotel. According to my habits, I have to eat more breakfast buffet, and then go out for a tour. In order to save time and money, lunch is saved and I can't eat it at night. 【to sum up】 Malta is really fun. Don't look at the country, but it has a long history and a rich cultural landscape. Especially the old town of Valletta is small and exquisite. It is really suitable for strolling and thinking about the rise and fall of the country. The world is rising and falling... Friends who like nature, although Malta does not have big mountains and waters, but the famous Maltese three blues: blue holes, (collapsed) blue windows, blue lagoons are worth going, really blue eyes. Many small places are also worth going to the beach to jump into the dark blue. Of course, going to those places to do the bus will definitely start from the bus terminal in downtown Valletta, and it is really convenient to stay in this hotel (provided you have to live in Valletta, live in Sliema and St. Julian's) It’s another matter). The first time I went to Malta to travel to a friend who lives in Valletta, this hotel is strong.

The hotel is right next to the old town. If you like to visit the old town, it is very suitable. The hotel is sunken, built on topography, with its own indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, summer outdoor grill, and should be able to hold various parties. The hotel's restaurant has ample seating, and it can be seen that couples of European age meet with friends to have more vacations. The service is good.

We visited as our honeymoon and decided to stick with it. When we arrived we had to have our temperature checked and then it was explained we had to wear masks while in the hotel public areas (which is fine!). We were in zingara which is absolutely beautiful. We were quite bowled over by it and the touches they had set up for our honeymoon. The bathroom is huge with the biggest shower/wet room I've ever had. The only comment I can make about the room is that as it's in the middle of the building there is no external window, only a small one into the courtyard. It took a bit of adjustment as you would wake up at 8am and it was as dark as night. This wasn't an issue for us but something I hadn't considered. Breakfast is a good selection but with staff waiting as due to virus restrictions. The food was very nice and the staff very friendly. We would honestly go back any time, I can't fault the hotel or its staff at all.

Stayed here for two nights in February. This is a very new, small boutique hotel with about 10 rooms of different sizes and shapes. We had a large loft-style room with the bedroom / sleeping area upstairs (room height about 5.5 meters, with bedroom built above the entrance and bathroom area.) Liked the room a lot. Downstairs had a sofa bed (making the room great for a family of 3 or 4), desk, TV, storage, and a bathroom with shower and bath tub. There was also a fancy coffee machine. Upstairs had a large (queen size) bed, side table, an armchair, and a TV. Room style is modern and very nice. We also liked the colorful paintings in the room and in the public areas. Great! There is a lift to access all floors and get to the top-floor breakfast room, from where you can get to the roof-top terrace (great for breakfast outside the cool winter season!) Views to the southeast (Birgu/Vittoriosa and Senglea) from the terrace were magnificent! Breakfast was good (not very extensive, but covered everything we expected: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread, eggs and omelette, cheese, cold cuts, tea, coffee, orange juice, ...). The reception/entrance is not always occupied, so needed the room card to open the front door(s) part of the time, especially in the evening. Only minus we could think of was some plumbing noise from upstairs when other guests were taking a shower late evening or very early in the morning. Would not be noticeable unless in bed almost asleep. The location of the hotel is extremely good: two small blocks away from the two main streets in the core of Valletta, where lots and lots of restaurants and cafes are located. So you could walk to you dinner in 2 to 4 minutes.

We live in Malta but rarely do we visit Valletta in the evenings, which is a shame because the city comes alive at night with a social scene you might not think exists in the long narrow streets! So we treated ourselves to Casa Ellul on the eve of a public holiday, but not just any public holiday as this one was for St Paul who is the Patron Saint of Malta. Valletta is a beautiful and charming old city and Casa Ellul compliments it with it's very own unique beauty and charm. We booked The Piano Nobile Suite (No.5) because we thought it would cool to have a piano in our room next to our Maltese Balcony positioned bath...and it was! Our suite oozed history and period features and had all the modern day hotel facilities you would expect. In fact, it probably had more facilities than some modern day hotels! The glass and iron shower screen, the fireplace, the beautiful and unusual sink, the old wardrobe, the piano, the bath, the long hanging lights above the bedside tables, the wooden window shutters - all of it put together makes for a truly unique room design which is welcoming, warming and 'boutique' in abundance. Breakfast is served in the small but adequate and modern dining room with a choice of continental and cooked options and you can taste that the produce used is really good quality. Soya milk was readily available which may sound like something unusual to mention but we've stayed in lots of nice hotels where they had only regular cow's milk and asking for soya milk seemed like a crime! The hotel has a quirky layout and there's not much of a common area for guests as such but, when you're in a city like Valletta, it's about being out there on the streets, soaking up the atmosphere and there's plenty of that right on the hotel's doorstep. Knowing that you will be returning to a nice clean and cosy room is all that you need from the hotel and it absolutely delivers on that. All of this said we think that the best asset of Casa Ellul is the staff. You are always greeted with a genuine smile, friendly conversation, politeness in abundance and nothing is too much trouble and that is very important these days because you can be staying in the most beautiful hotel with the most amazing accomodation but can be served by the most awful members of staff and that is the lasting memory you will have of that hotel above all else! Casa Ellul does everything spot on - prosit!

There really ARE only nineteen rooms in this handsome, modern renovation. For travelers comfortable in a hip, stylish accommodation, this one is well situated in the old city, a few quiet blocks from Republic street and all the hubbub with views to the water. An espresso/cappucciono/chocolate machine, fresh fruit and croissants BAKED ON PREMISES are the perfect continental breakfast (gratis). CAVEATS: My room featured bathroom AND toilet open to the rest of the room, which may be problematic to the more modest (at least, until my suggestion of a frosted glass toilet wall is taken to heart). Keep windows closed from before dusk to well after dawn or bring DDT unless you enjoy dozing off to the song of the mosquito in your ear; the concerned staff has spray for that, but those little #@^&*'s are insidious and one treatment didn't help. Bring British electrical adaptors or ask for one.

The apartment is down a narrow back street off Old Bakery Street. Nobody knew where Eagle Street was – even though, eventually, we were within twenty meters of it! Having found the street we phoned Cynthia our contact who came out to meet us, she was very helpful and friendly. After carrying our luggage down twenty odd steps and up a flight of stairs we were really pleased with our choice of venue for this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. It had a large kitchen diner and separate bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom (no bath). Perfect for our needs. The kitchen was fully kitted out and also had some basics to get us started although there is a convenience store less than five minutes’ walk away. The lounge area was comfortably fitted out with a large seating area and dining table and, for entertainment, a flat screen TV with plenty of channels to choose from. We had no noise from the neighbours and it was in a very quiet pedestrian safe well lit alley. There were more than enough electric sockets and a nice touch was the UK Europe adaptors left in sockets for the use of visitors. The wi-fi worked well. The shower was OK although the shower head could do with de-scaling, but the hand held shower was more than adequate in the wet room. The loo basin area was bijou but adequate and the lighting throughout the apartment was good. The bed was a large double, comfortable although for us it was rather low, but we slept well. There was plenty of cupboard space and the fridge freezer would accommodate most people’s needs. Would we stay here again – yes, if returning to Valletta.

Palais Le Brun is a true gem of Valletta. Lovely old palazzo converted into a boutique hotel without losing any of it's charm. The very entrance to the hotel has a lounge are with vintage vitrine where you can find (and read) some of the oldest books (I am a fan just of the smell of them, mind you). The receptionists (both night when we arrived and morning) were very professional, but at the same time extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast is a la cart, fresh, war and tasty, and there is a selection of pastries. jams and butters you can help yourself with while waiting for your order. Most of all I loved the roof top pool, although it was very cold, so we didn't use it, the view is breathtaking and having a coffee there before our departure was the most enjoyable. The hotel is situated close to Grand Masters Palace in Valletta, and very close to pedestrian are, but still tucked in among small quiet streets. If you love to feel like a royal, I would wholeheartedly recommend Palais Le Brun to you. I know I will visit them again, 100%.

We have just spent a week at this wonderful hotel, we could not have chosen a better place to stay, fantastic. The staff are all so helpful and friendly and all very hard working. The breakfast is extremely good and the ladies continually restock the buffet with good quality fresh produce, a great start to the day. The room we had was lovely, quiet and comfortable, everything you need and well finished. The whole hotel was spotless and decorated well throughout and displaying lovely art work on the walls and in the foyer. The location is perfect for eating out in local bars, cafes and restaurants, all the great Valletta sights are very close by as well as a short walk to the ferry stops. For either visiting Valletta or using it as a base for exploring the rest of Malta this hotel must be one of the best, terrific place.

This is a very warm hotel, although the scale is not very large, but it is very warm and clean. The most unexpected thing is to provide slippers. There is also a good coffee inside. Especially cappuccino. I really like it. The front desk staff was very welcoming. People really feel at home. The breakfast is also very rich and is cooked to order. Give 5 stars a good rating.

The hotel was in a good location, that was a good think. The lady and the gentleman working in the reception was so helpful, and professional. The room clean it’s was really bad in 11 nights I stayed there they change the sheets only 3 Times . The restaurant have some good meals. It’s was a good place but I will not spend 1900€/$ for that room .

Nice terrace, the host is very welcoming, the only problem is the sound that can be heard if the neighbors speak loudly!
