We got motivated to stay in this hotel due to its low price and the photographs of the property. Specially we saw the BATHTUB. However, this hotel is not very beautiful. It is not maintained properly and has NO LIFT. Most shockingly it has NO INTERCOM. The rooms are small and squeaky. The TV is analogue. Plug points are in sufficient. The cloths, curtains, pillows, blankets all are spotty and dirty. Cupboards are not there. Toiletries are not good. No shower. Bathtubs look OLD. All rooms are not similarly equipped. The food is so and so just EDIBLE if you can tolerate the quality. Good thing is that there is NO BEEF and NO PORK too. Cost of FOOD is also LOW. The only good thing about the HOTEL is that it is in the PARO City area and the PARO city area is accessible from here. Be warned that this HOTEL is only good for you if you are seriously looking for a CHEAP HOTEL and you can compromise on QUALITY for a CHEAP STAY.

Hotel is really nice and you'll find smiling faces welcoming you in the hotel. Location is good and close to local streets. Rooms are clean, spacious, big bed with electrical sheet to make it warmer, room heater and all the amenities. Breakfast was very tasty and services were beyond our expectation. Staff was really good and very hospitable. Special appreciation to Ganga, Pema and Yangzom, they were always carrying smile. Market start getting close by 8pm and you'll hardly find any restaurant for food except coffee shops, so better to have meal in hotel itself. Thank you Khamsum team for your services.

Stayed here for 3 days along with my kid from Sep16-19 in room No. 301, It was a very pleasant stay, quiet, calm with the chirping of birds in the morning. My room had Hall, Bedroom, dress changing room, and bathroom with attached bathtub with 24 hours hot water and finally with the big balcony facing the mountains with a fantastic view. Rooms all were spacious & clean. They provide you with the good hospitality, upgraded my rooms without extra cost since it was off season. Had apple trees around villas, my kid was very happy after looking at them. They also provided us some apples when vacating. The Villa owner, his wife and daughter were so kind, that they struck up nice conversation with us. The only problem is the villa is located little far away from the Paro taxi/bus stand, they will ask amount Rs.150 for one way, but still, there are a lot of grocery shops, hospital and two hotels near the villa which will make you comfortable. Food charges were normal, taste was good.

We stayed here for 2 nights. This was our second stay here. The greenery and beautiful yellow trees in the campus and the yellow leaves spread all around made us visit this place for the second time. However, after the second visit there are some things which we ignored the first time found tough to ignore. 1. The cost is too high compared to the room quality and amenities inside the room. The hotel as such is very old construction. The bathrooms are very small, and in the small bathrooms they have put a bathtub making things very congested. The restroom does not have a spray-jet with the commode, instead there is a mug and bucket kept. However, the space around the commode is too less for using the bucket and mug. 2. The food quality needs to be improved. They put too much of oil in the vegetables making them tricky to eat and digest.

The beautiful valley of Paro is home to the National Museum, the one and only International airport and many of Bhutan’s old monasteries including the iconic Taktsang Lhakhang.Located in Tshendona, The Village Lodge Paro is our Flagship establishment.  Inspired by the rich culture of Bhutanese people, The Village Lodge was built to capture the unique Bhutanese architecture in the Valley and blend with its neighboring farm houses. Nestled in the middle of fertile paddy fields, the lodge offers 13 mini suites with a feel of rural Bhutanese life and the luxury of upscale hotels.

We travelled to Bhutan last Oct 2019 and stayed in this beautiful Paro Resort, Drukchen Resort .. From the check-in process to Checkout Process, everything was very well managed. The reception area was very big with elegant sofas which gives you the feeling of a true 4-star hotel , though it is 3-star Hotel . The rooms were very big with good views of Paro river, Airport and Paro Dzong. We are a team of vegetarian and we enjoyed the food served there. All are Indian food with good Indian taste . The menus also quite elaborate. The service is always with a typical Bhutanese smile. Overall our stay was very much enjoyable with Drukchen , surely I will recommend other tourists to stay here in Paro

No wonder “National Geographic” has awarded this hotel one of the very few “unique stays” in the world. The hotel lies on a beautiful property (with a distant view of the mystical“Tiger’s Nest”); everything about the hotel is beautiful: from the elegant Bhutanese style main building to the tea house, spa/gym, and various gardens including the archery field The food and wines were delicious. The rooms are fantastic- spacious, modern with a Bhutanese touch, a comfortable balcony, and all the facilities of a 5 star hotel. It was a shame that the swimming pool wasn’t finished. One opportunity for improvement is the gym equipment- it’s there but not that good. Need better treadmill and elliptical, as well as a bench for dumbbells.

A huge sense of calmness, comfortable and nicely designed rooms with great views (after all the lodge nestles in the midst of paddy fields), generous lashings of good old-fashioned hospitality, friendly smiling faces (Shering, Tashi, Maniram, Ishai, Ishai’s sister, and the others from the team – we terribly miss you all), and last but not the least, cuisine that will keep your lips smacking. I stayed at the Village Lodge for 9 days – yes, it was that peaceful – and I could see myself emerge as a different person at the end of my stay. This lodge is designed for people who love nature, and are somewhat of a peaceful disposition. Yes, it has drawbacks – the Wi-Fi strength could be better – but really, would you fret about the Wi-Fi connectivity in a place like Bhutan? The idea is to connect with nature, not with social media/work. Having said that I did finish a presentation by simply moving to my room to a wooden table by the side of a mini apple orchard. A bird even gave me company for a couple of hours. The Paro Chu river just outside the property is perfect for long walks in the evening. And you can hear the cheerful babbling of the pebbly river from the rooms too.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights with my wife. It's a lovely comfortable hotel which is managed professionally among the others that I stayed in Bhutan (Not that the others are bad but this is better than the rest). The hotel lies slightly outside the Paro town. Therefore it is recommended that you ensure you come to the hotel after finishing all your sight seeing for the day. The surrounding is pretty beautiful and is a good treat for the eyes especially in the mornings. The approach to the hotel is pretty poor with very poor roads but kindly don't get disheartened. The destination is what you should wait for. The room where we stayed was pretty big and comfortable. Since we went during the peak of winter, there were two room heaters and a heated bed which made our stay even more comfortable. The food at the restaurant was quite good. Since our trip was a meal included package we had a defined menu but at our request the chef was kind enough to substitute an item with a local delicacy which we enjoyed to the hilt. The serving portion was actually meant for 3-4 people but we were only two and had to ask them to serve only a little from the overall menu. They were kind enough to understand our plight and heeded to our request. The service of the staff too was pretty hospitable and courteous. As we had to check out at 4 AM on our last day, they ensured that we left with a packed breakfast to the airport. Overall we had a good time at this restaurant and would recommend other travellers to stay here too.
