I booked in here for three nights whilst visiting my son. The room was excellent, very clean, fresh decor, bathroom was really nice, spacious and good shower, easy access to the lift and room using a card. Can't fault the room at all. The hotel is well situated, not right in the centre but a 10 min walk will get you there. Plenty of local and easy to reach trams and buses to get you around, scooters just down the road or walk as I did to get around. The breakfast was included, continental, everything you need and plenty of it. The bar in the evening is nice to relax in, I had drink each evening to end the day, enjoyed it. Finally the staff are very nice. The guy on reception stood out, he was so kind, happy and cheerful. He really must make difference to peoples stay, nothing was too much trouble for him. I will stay again when next visiting.

This hotel is centrally located on the main street in Augsburg and about 1.5km from the central train station. The staff were very friendly and service was at a high standard. We had a very spacious double room with seating area, TV, fluffy robes, spacious wardrobe, very comfortable bed and minibar plus a spacious bathroom. Our room was over the main street but we had no noise problems even though we were there over a Friday and Sat night. The breakfast buffet was very generous with made to order eggs, pancakes and crepes and a large range of every other possible breakfast choices. We also ate in for dinner one night and enjoyed a great dinner with efficient service. As well as being close to all the shops and restaurants, the hotel is right next door to the Palace with a great art museum and a 5 min walk to the beautiful Town Hall and Xmas Markets. Would definitely stay again and make use of the sauna and spa facilities.

We arrived at the hotel just after 2pm and drove into the garage. We went up to the lobby to check in. We were asked our name and then told that check in was at 3pm! I have been an Accor Reward member for years and this was the first time I was not able to check in right away, very strange. So we wasted an hour then were able to check in. Room was o.k. but not the best Ibis we’ve been in. We were also charged at check in which was unusual as we normally pay at check out. The hotel was a short walk into town but not in a great area. We had planned to stay for two nights but we had to change that so the same day we told reception we would be checking out the next day. I understood that he had taken care of the credit for the second night but in the morning I had to go through a long process to explain this again and the receptionist took a long time to figure this all out. She also was a little impolite to another guest during this process. This was definitely not our best Accor experience. Not sure if this was a cultural difference in this area or what, just a disappointing experience.

I WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO GIVE MY REVIEW A READ FOR A VERY IMPORTANT REASON! So me and my colleagues stayed in this Ibis property from 15th-21st Sept 2019. Though the rooms were small and the breakfast everyday was the same, we still didn't mind as location wise this hotel was quite good. Next to the main centre and HBF. There were also couple of lady staffs who were very polite, nice and used to speak to us kindly and help us with any request if we had. Cheers to Women Empowerment!! But then why did i give 1 star as a rating? This is because of this particular incident which i am about to share. We had our return flight from Munich on 21st morning and hence we took a taxi at 6 AM in the morning. Now, we have inquired about a possibility of having a quick coffee and a croissant before we leave at 6 AM since we had a long flight ahead. So, after depositing the keys at the reception we went to the breakfast zone. Though the entire breakfast was served at that time, we took one coffee and one croissant each. When we were sipping our coffee, the guy from the reception came in and told us to "GET OUT" as the breakfast starts from 6:30 AM. We left the breakfast area and went to the reception area with our coffee and then I realized that the person actually asked us to GET OUT. When i asked him why did he say like that as we have PAID too for the breakfast that day (21st Sept), he tried to reason that breakfast starts at 6:30 AM. I explained to him that we have a flight to catch and we need to leave by 6 AM and that's why we picked up the coffee but he still did not stop shouting. When I asked him his name, he denied to tell his name even! Now, my point is he is in the hospitality industry and telling a customer "GET OUT" when the customer is about to leave is just not done, that too for something (we took a coffee & croissant at 6 AM and the breakfast starts at 6:30 AM even when we have paid for the breakfast) that small, is really not done. I hope the guy in the reception goes back to a hotel management course and reads, understands the word 'hospitality' properly. We work in Fujitsu and are frequent travelers to Augsburg (coming again in November). Though we liked the hotel but we will never come back to this hotel. Staying in hotel business

The hotel is located right on the four-spure main road. Therefore, please take rooms back. Spruced in several parts the "charme" of the 1970s, but is maintained, my room was relatively newly renovated. Quick, free Wi-Fi, comfortable bed. Breakfast with everything you need, including cakes and a good bread selection. Several restaurants in a walking distance, including a really good Italian. Price-performance ratio (sunday night) excellent.

To emphasise the friendliness of the staff (which is very important for me). At breakfast we got "heated coffee" on the first day. Then we went up to automatic coffee, which was very good. With the bakers there was only a brezel on one day. The biggest lack: The bed linen had hole (age weak). Plus: Whoever one day renounced cleaning received a drink per person. Great treasure with six-digit PIN. The location directly at the railway station is top, especially for me as a train traveler. Tram and bus connection to the center (ZOB) is available. Card for PPP was mandatory.

We often come to Augsburg for business and the Dorint is our first choice of hotel. The staff speak very good english and are happy to assist with any queries. The building itself is very tall and can be seen from quite a distance with its distinctive radio mast! I would always recommend getting a high floor room as the views can be spectacular. On my most recent visit the Alps were visible in the distance. The only eye sore is the derelict looking building attached to the hotel car park but don't let this put you off. The balconies are large, with seats and a table. They aren't very private as there is no screen between you and your neighbour but this has never bothered me. The bar is nice with a good selection of drinks, again the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is always tasty, I like to have an omelette freshly cooked. We often need to request a late check out and this has never been refused. We'll be back again in the New Year!

Staff is wonderful. Speak very good English. Extremely helpful. Location to town is within walking distance but if your not into the walk there’s a station house within a 2 min walk. Traditional Germany style rooms. For Americans that means no AC most times not needed anyway, windows open no screens, need converter plugs for electric, each person has there own duvet cover only a fitted sheet. Platform beds which were very comfortable. Clean and just the right amount of amenities that you need. Sauna is available as well. Breakfast is included which you can sit inside overlooking the gardens or the patio surrounded by the beautiful gardens.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the train station. Whoever arrives late must accept that the check-in cost is a little higher than in other hotels. You have to go to a night switch not in the hotel, get the room card there and then go to the hotel. The rooms are well marked, because you have to look for yourself. The rooms are very conveniently furnished and you cannot miss in the bathroom. Despite the central location, it is quiet in the hotel as long as you allow the window. Since the rooms are not air-conditioned, this can be critical at high temperatures. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The Alpenhof has a unique style... which I like a lot!! It has a unique style, with a mixture of different furnitures, some old-fashioned some according to styles from alpine regions, wjich is very cosy and also interesting. You can find newspapers from the 60ies in the lobby for example. Also there are nice places in the courtyard and garden to just sit and enjoy. Rooms are clean, the very few hotel staff I saw due to corona was very friendly. So sad to see this nice hotel so empty, it is certsinly a place that deserves to survive this pandemic!! Thank you and until my next stay!

We stayed in this hotel, clean, nice, quiet and comfortable in the center, with the means or even walking. Basic and a bit dated but in order. The exterior was attractive with geranium pots at the room windows. The interior grew on us. Room #19 seemed a bit small but it actually had wide windowsills so it became my luggage storage. The bathroom was really bright and light and it had some good features like a make-up mirror and wash mitts. The room was also well lit but with red and white patterned carpet seemed a bit dated but it was actually just a traditional German hotel and was very comfortable. The windows were well-insulated but the Irish pub was still noisy and my earplugs were useful and we both slept well. The best thing about this place was the staff. Everyone was friendly and warm and laughed a lot. Delightful! I recommend this place.
