      This is a typical traditional Japanese thatched style inn that looks like a movie set for a samurai film. Located in the middle of nowhere in the mountains. They provided a free pick up from Nakanojyo station where an express train from Ueno station stops. It took us around 40mins by car to get there. There are some annex in the village and some of them display historical objects. The room was big and comfy apart from the heater or boiler for the heating system kept making loud noises which deprived of our sleep. If this hadn’t happened I would give 5 stars. The baths were excellent especially the outdoor bath with a view of the falls was very impressive. The food was great, too much to finish, and seemed like most of the staff speak English. It’s a remote area so all you can do is to stay in this inn and take as many baths as you like. But I do recommend this place if you truly want to experience a traditional style inn in Japan.

      Just checked in for 3 nights. I stayed in same Kyoritsu resorts in Okuhida (Miyama Ouan) and experience was amazing, so we'd decided to stay 3 nights here. This hotel is a great value. 1. Location It's off from Yubatake, center of Kusatsu town but there's a shuttle bus to center bus stop every hour. 15min nice walk. Because it's off center, this property sits on large lot and has gardens, and great mountain views. Plenty of guest parking available. This hotel shared common area with Konoha, more budget resorts. We stayed on busy pre Christmas weekends but common area was never crowded. 2. Amenities They have 2 large public baths both mens and women. One comes with large outdoor bath overlooking forests. It was beautiful and has many choices of tubs. There's also hamam kind of sauna, dry sauna on pubic bath. 3 private outdoor bath is first-come basis. Large tubs and beautiful milky hot springs were very nice. There's free coffee, water/tea machine and ice pop by the public bath. Lounge area is very large and we always found a place to sit. They also serves ramen from 10pm for free which was great (although we've never tried). There's coin laundry (which I didn't see from their web sites) was great help for tourists from US like us. There's pillows bar and Yukata (Kimono to wear throughout the stay) bar to chose what you'd like. So many choices of pillows and different types of Yukata. I don't really need Yukata as much as they've provided Samui (Kimonotop + Pants, like Japanese PJs) but selection of pillows was good idea. 3. Room Great room. We had tatami room living area, tatami bedroom with 2 single beds (which we can put together for double use) and vanity area, shower booth and bathtub on balcony. Toilet was separate with sink which was great. Has small minibar area which was very helpful. Upon checked in, there was tea aromatic fragrance was in the room and it was very nice. 4. Food We had breakfast/dinner plans. Beautiful Kaiseki for dinner and beautiful presentation, we enjoyed a lot. There are good selection of Sake, Cocktails and other alcohol. A top notch service and servers were very polite and nice. 5. Overall This resort is a new type of Onsen Ryokan with modern service/idea. They don't provide slippers but instead they'd provide socks to wear through the stay. No shoes in the Ryokan and many walk around bare feet. They don't provide fancy shampoos or amenities, or towels by the public bath but they provide a basket with towels to carry from room which totally makes sense. They don't serve dinner via room service (as it used to be old fashioned age), but they serve great Kaiseki meals in the restaurants with semi-private (cubicle) tables. Very efficient and we love this resorts. We really enjoyed this Kyoritsu resorts and looking forward to stay at another resorts soon. Highly recommended.       I stayed here for one night in Karuizawa, then stayed here, and stayed in a good plan, so I was taught at the time of check-out that there was a goto campaign and applied for mail to the Secretariat, but it was about two months, but there was no sound! The meal was troublesome by the mask when I went to take vinyl gloves and Vikings in both hands by the corona countermeasure, but the price contrast and the food were surprisingly substantial. The taste is so good. Even if I went to the time in the reservation system, the employee was stiff and ignored for about 10 minutes, and it was not possible. Anyway, the bath is good! You can enjoy various things! It was surprising that the bath was the same as the high price inn, but the room was small, but it was usually interesting that the door felt like a prison. I enjoyed the inn reasonably!

      Stayed with mother-in-law for 2 nights and loved it. Service: The station and Kusatsu Onsen attractions are picked up at any time by private car; when you enter the door, you will be served with hand-made matcha and snacks for you to wait for check-in. At the same time, the staff will wipe our boxes before sending them into the guest room; the gentleman welcoming the guests is full of gentleman style , The service is thoughtful and considerate; the hotel staff greet the guests at any time and provide any help; check out in the room and help you bring your luggage to the special car that takes you to the station. Rooms and facilities: Needless to say, they are clean and tidy. There are only 10 rooms in total, bedrooms with Western-style beds, and electric blankets are always on for warmth. Whenever you want to soak in the hot springs, you will find refreshments on the room table. There is a public hot spring, a private hot spring can be reserved, and the bathroom in the room on the first floor also has its own hot spring. Unfortunately, I came to my aunt, and I could only take a shower in the bathroom of my room with the water in the tub and the tub. However, the two mild eczema on my body were soaked... Meals: dinner and breakfast. Private rooms in the restaurant. The breakfast was very rich, and the dinner was a traditional 9-course kaiseki cuisine. The amount was relatively large, and it was not polite to finish it.       I chose this hotel because I wanted to enter the room open-air bath because it was this time. Room open-air bath, the best! Kusatsu's hot water is acidic 〜 was the best. Dinner was a Russian course and breakfast was a Japanese buffet. It seemed to be an all-inclusive plan (originally? Because it was a birthday? Everyone? I don't know!), color 々 service was provided. The raw beer on the bath is the best. It is a hotel that I want to stay again!

      Room facilities are old, but the service is really good, and there is a Chinese staff at the front desk. It's great value to order one berth and two meals (for 3 people) at around 1,000 yuan. The unlimited supply of crab legs, beef, and tempura for dinner, but don't expect too much of the portion of the meal. There is still a gap compared to Yuan. The hotel is very rich in entertainment activities. In addition to bathing (hot spring tax 150 yen per person per day), you can also play table tennis, bowling, swimming, video games, and each activity charges a small fee to the hotel guests. We also participated in the forest hike at 7am (free of charge), no registration required, the whole journey took about 1 hour. The hotel's shuttle to the bus station and Yuryo is very convenient. When our family of three arrived at Kusatsu Bus Station that day, we had missed the bus operation time. We called the hotel and immediately sent a special car to pick it up.

      For the first time in Japan, make a hot spring, this is a particularly good and memorable hot spring trip. Ten days before departure, when checking on Ctrip, there were very few rooms on Kusatsu. At the time, it was fortunate that the hotel had a Japanese-style room set up for foreigners from two consecutive nights. It is suitable for us who have not lived in a Japanese-style room. I thought the Japanese-style room was so small. I didn't expect it to be very satisfying. There was a wet and dry toilet, a refrigerator, a humidifier, and a balcony sofa. I bought the direct bus ticket at Tokyo Station that morning only. It happened to be Friday and I was told that Tokyo was sold out. Only 6pm Shinjuku Station direct Kusatsu Onsen ticket was left. The direct bus only takes 4 hours, there is free internet power for USB charging, and a break once. Another way is to change the train three times, and finally change the bus to Kusatsu Onsen. Taiqing was fortunate to choose the direct bus, which was particularly convenient because I changed to the bus and watched it at 17:00 at the latest. We arrived at the hotel at 11 pm that day because of the heavy snow outside and it was a bit difficult to find the location for the first time at night. In fact, the bus stop was very close to the hotel. Because the hotel was contacted in advance, there was still a reception this evening and dinner was prepared for us. Of course, I later learned that our room rate includes one breakfast and one dinner each day. You can choose a yukata for free every day in the hotel lobby, and you are very satisfied with your favorite pattern. The most satisfying is the hot spring bath in this house. There are two types of indoor and outdoor. You can also enjoy it for free. Anyway, there are few people in the large bath. You can go to the hot spring at any time. The indoor is 24 hours. The outdoor scenery is very enjoyable. . They recommend not more than 3 times a day, it is really comfortable to live there. Take the hotel hot spring cleaning time to visit the hot spring town, the steamed buns sold around are really delicious, the entrance is instant.
