I rate this hotel as a three star but know that it has very good parts and not so good. Let’s start with the pros: Clean, modern, great fitness center (this is atop an athletic club). Both breakfast and lunch menus and food were good, healthy options. Bar has a sufficient choice for everyone. It was wintertime so we didn’t use the outdoor pool, but I suspect it is fun. While not in a tourist area, it is in a good location if you need to stop by a store to pick up something you need or forgot. Staff were friendly without exception. Rooms have ample space and everything you need. The rate is reasonable too, even with the $25 daily resort fee. In room coffee was good too and there is a small refrigerator. The cons: not a place for rest or quiet. The beds are very firm, too firm really to feel comfortable. I found myself tossing around quite a bit. On our first night, we awoke at 3 am hearing the workout room below. Someone was really jamming and they no doubt had a good session. It was loud enough that I could recognize each set. I mentioned it to management the next morning and it didn’t happen again. The gym is closed until 5 am so it was odd. Other reviews note this and I know that we were not dreaming. You can hear a lot of noise between rooms as there isn’t much acoustic dampening, but our neighbors were quiet once they got settled. Our friends stayed on the 5th floor, one floor up from us. They didn’t have the noise problem. Maybe you want to ask for a room on floor 5.

When hubby and I go to Chicago we like to be around Boys' Town for obvious reasons. This was a short overnight trip so we wanted to avoid commute times to the play area. Hubby had stayed at City Suites in the past and recommended we stay there since it is just 1 ½ blocks off North Halsted plus it's right outside the door of the Belmont CTA station (red, brown, and purple lines). Walking into the hotel it appeared clean and decent with an absence of an older building re-purposed as a modern hotel. Check-in was courteous and quick. I had booked a King suite, only that and a regular queen room had shown available and they were the same price. Our room was on the second floor just across from the real tiny elevator. The room was spacious with a bedroom separate from a living area and the smallish bathroom off the living area. The furniture looked a bit worn and beaten - the small couch did not look comfortable as the cushions were crushed from lots of use. There was a window in each room that looked at the brick wall of the building next door, so there was limited light in the room. The room was clean only in the most limited sense of the word. No bed bugs, no roaches - it's not a seedy hotel in that sense. But it also did not have the clean, neat sense that you get from newer properties, nor did it have that clean but dated look from more nostalgic properties. It wasn't gross, but the room definitely needed some refreshing and updating. It was a reasonable choice since there are so few hotels in the immediate Boys Town area - I think we may try AirBnB next time we want to stay there, or suffer the short commute to areas where there are hotels. I might consider staying here again if the price is competitive and I wanted to focus all of my visit on Boys Town - as with this visit - but this is not first on my list.

I had a great time at Wrigley Hostel. This was my first time staying in a hostel in the states solo as a female traveler, and they were quick to accommodate my request for an all-female room even though the option wasn't available at the time that I booked my dorm stay. The other guests were all very friendly, generally pretty respectful of quiet hours, and I had a great time meeting everyone and chatting with Brian (the owner) and Ida (a staff member). Omg and Ida's labradoodle is the -cutest-, sweetest, and quietest pup in the world. I imagine it's even better when under normal operations as the social events look great, and it's already a perfectly friendly environment, so my five-stars kind of assumes normal operation. As it is, it's perfectly comfortable - I had a good night's sleep each night I stayed (four in total, I believe), which hostel-frequenters know isn't always the case. It was cleaner than the average hostel and rather comfortable. There are plenty of bathrooms throughout the property, so getting ready in the morning was never an issue. The common spaces are top-notch, which is the best indicator of a good hostel. I even got to meet and travel with a couple of other people staying there, which happens a lot abroad, but not as common in the states. If I'm ever traveling solo in Chicago again, I'll be sure to return. I'd even consider one of the private rooms if I am traveling with my fiance, too. A great experience and one I'd definitely recommend :)

I have spent 30+ years in hotel management. I was very pleased with this property. Very comfortable bed! Slept great even though my room was right over Lincoln Ave. I never heard traffic. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful. He heard me having difficulty opening my room door and he literally ran to help me. (I walk on crutches and this room was on 2nd floor. Nothing to be done about that as it was a last minute booking.) Room was great. Clean, no odors or missed trash. The only problem was the bedside lamp closest to the bathroom was not plugged in properly so it kept going on and off. The alarm clock radio was plugged into this lamp so it didn't keep time right. That's why only a 4/5 rating. I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!

The location is next to the Netherland Theatre, a few hundred meters away from the Millennium Park. The location is good. The large 34 square meter room is spacious. Prepaid is good. If you pay by credit card debit after you leave the store, the information is lagging behind. Hotel prices vary from day to day, and the same room may double the price difference. Don't spend money. It is the most economical to buy sandwich milk from your own supermarket.

If you are looking for a family friendly place look no further. I brought my teenage daughter her for her birthday and it was perfect location for downtown Chicago. From the moment we checked in the staff was superb!! They were extremely friendly from check in to breakfast. Ismeta was the morning hotestess and she was the perfect start to our day. She just made everyone feel like family. She was friendly and helpful and her bright, friendly smile just made you feel so welcome. We will definately be back. If I had to choose to pay a little more to stay here or another hotel it would worth the extra money! The rooms were clean and the bed were comfy. It was the perfect choice. We will definately be back.

This is my fourth stay at this hotel and I have always found the employees to be kind and helpful and everything working without a hitch. However, this time around my room had a problem with the thermostat and heating, and although it's March, the last two days have been very chilly, and the heater was emitting cool air most of the time, rather than warm air, even when I turned the thermostat up to a high temperature. This was very bothersome to me (I didn't want to change rooms since otherwise my room was perfect), so I talked to the front desk about this, and Mirsad, the assistant engineer of the hotel, was in my room ASAP and checked the thermostat, the unit itself, left to get a part, showed immense concern for my well-being (I was cold, especially at night), and took care of the problem. I was impressed by this employee's professionalism and the effort he made to ensure the heating/cooling unit and thermostat were working well. I have yet another three days here at the hotel, and my room is now warm and comfy. Excellent customer service, which is what it's all about.

The hotel is very clean and tidy. The biggest feature of the room is the floor-to-ceiling windows. The scenery outside the window is very clear. Although there is no bustling Michigan Avenue, it is still good! There is a bar on the 18th floor of the hotel, not big. The hotel has a restaurant on the left side of the hotel entrance, named Somerset, in the room can also book this restaurant in the room dinning, about twenty or thirty minutes to deliver the meal to the room. I really like the bathroom's minimalist wash suit, which is white tea, especially fragrant and comfortable. Shopping, dining and entertainment are nearby. Not far from there are Chinese restaurants, such as Imperial Lamian, Old Sichuan, MingHin Cuisine, Shanghai Terrance, which are just a few minutes from Uber. Royal chef and old Sichuan are very popular! It is also 10 minutes from the hotel to the famous scenic spot Michigan Avenue, which is also close to Navy Pier and Millennium Park. The fly in the ointment is that the sound insulation in the hotel is not good, the guests from the opposite side of the room can hear the opening of the door, but the overall is good!

The team at the front desk who checked me and we’re so energetic and friendly and shared in my excitement of spending a week in beautiful Chicago. Every time I dropped why they were always so helpful to point me in the right direction and made amazing suggestions for so many things! Rooms were gorgeous, a little art deco, a little swank! The linens were lovely and the pillows and beds were as well, I never heard anything from any of my neighbors even though I knew they were there. So super close to great shopping and fun things to do, including my favorite deep dish pizza in Chicago, Giordano’s, which is 3 blocks away! Lots of Uber‘s always buzzing by the front entrance for easy pickup & dropoff. I was so lonely missing my kitties that they offered me a goldfish! Kempton is my new favorite brand of hotel! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I had booked a last minute trip to Chicago's Virgin Hotel to spend some time with my daughters. From the first minute we walked in the service was impeccable. This continued throughout our stay everytime we walked in or out of the hotel (many times). The location was perfect to shops, restaurants, Riverwalk, beautiful architecture, and many other visual attractions. The only downfall to our visit was it was Covid season and many restrictions to places we could go to watch the football game and/or eat as the restaurants were all closed in the hotel. That was a safety issue for the guests so it was appreciated they weren't open. The one thing I'd recommend is for them to have a list of what was open nearby and what was offered (dine-in, delivery, take out, etc.). We were able to find places on our own, but it would have saved us the time from searching/calling around. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

The hotel matched all the criteria I was looking for and it was available for a reasonable price so I booked it. After I booked it, I called to confirm the details of the shuttle and the service I received was not great; I thought it was a one-off but actually that was the type of service I was going to receive throughout my stay. My family arrived before me and even though we had called to confirm the airport pickup and shuttle times, we were told 'just call when you arrive and the shuttle will be there'. Every time we asked we got a different response - one person said the shuttle ran on a schedule and another said that it was upon request. We tried taking the shuttle three times - once from the airport, once to the airport, and once again to the airport and each time it was EXTREMELY delayed and/or it was a guesstimate as to when it would actually go. After that, we stopped using the shuttle at all. The hotel is located about 10 minutes away from the airport and is located across the highway from the Rosemount train station. The hotel looks like it was built in the 1950's with a high hotel and a huge parking lot. You have to cross the huge parking lot and walk across the highway on a pedestrian bridge to access the train - its not bad during the day but can be a little sketchy at night. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance and there are lots of delivery options available as well (we did a delivery option and when it was delivered to the hotel, they were told to leave it on the table in the lobby. We went down to pick it up and no one confirmed to ensure it was our order so you can pick up any order you want). The lobby was designed in a circular fashion with the check-in desks to the left, the bar and restaurant straight ahead, the elevators to the room on the right, and the concierge desk also on the right. We checked-in and were not given any information and in fact the attendant could not have cared less (even though there was no one behind us). We received our key and proceeded to our room. Even though the area for the hotel was large and the hotel building looked large, the rooms were smaller than I expected. As you entered, there was a bathroom on the right and a closet on the left side. The bathroom was standard and contained a sink, a toilet and a bathtub - the only negative about the hotel was the minimal space. The closet was also a standard hotel closet and contained shelves, a place to hang clothes, an iron and ironing board, as well as a safe. Further into the room, on the right side were the 2 double beds with a nightstand in the middle. The beds were decent and provided a good nights sleep - again the space between the beds were tighter than anticipated. In front of the beds was a chest with a drawers on the bottom and a TV on top. Next to that was a desk on wheels so you can move the desk around the room. Along the wall were windows which were a nice addition as it

Juan checked us in early after we explained we had to be at a very important family party in the early afternoon. We were very fortunate there was a room available for us. He was very helpful and the room we had was on the first floor for two nights. I agree that the place needs some updating and TLC, but the people that work there couldn't be nicer! That being said, one big suggestion from two senior citizens: put some non slip grips in the tubs because they are quite slippery and we had to be careful not to fall while taking a shower! Parking is nearby and not at all as expensive as the downtown hotels. There is a parking garage down the side alley that is $25/day and also another garage at Walmart across street. There is a nice bench out in front of the hotel where you can wait for an Uber, or just people watch. We have stayed at the Willows several times due to our daughter living nearby in Lakeview. Also, someone said they only got one set of towels and they were small. We thought the opposite. There were a few sets of towels, they were quite large and smelled good!
