We stayed for a week at Hotel NockResort. The positives first: the location is fine, the hotel is clean. The food in the restaurant is fine. The hotel bar has a nice selection. A few of the staff are genuinely nice. But our stay was overshadowed by one thing, and ultimately ensured that we won't be coming back: a few of the staff was so rude in their behaviour, that we couldn't believe our eyes or ears. We have all travelled a lot, and after having searched our memories, couldn't come up with instances to match it. One female bartender literally scolded us for not waiting at the bar for our drinks, but said that "it is NOT ok for you to sit down after having ordered" in a very aggressive way. There was table service, and no signs saying you had to wait at the bar. When one person in the group approached the front desk manager to complain, the said bartender aggressively said "if you have something to say, say it it me". A male waiter spoke to the two wives in the group and said "if your husbands loved you, they wouldn't take you to a place like this", and finally, a female staff made our son cry because he popped a balloon at a children's party. We never figured out if they pay really poorly and only get inexperienced staff, or hire too few people and stress the few ones there, or if it's a cultural thing. Either way, we've set foot at Hotel NockResort for the last time.

This is very a hotel of two halves. Some elements are excellent, other less so. It's extensive with well-kept grounds and facilties. It's comfortable and clean. Our junior suite was ok but the bed was a little soft for our liking and the wide use of synthetic bedding made nights slightly uncomfortable. The room had been recently refurbished but was a trifle austere. The public rooms were fine but not heavily used. The spa faciltiies were a combination of very new (the salt hamman for example) or the older. Some of the latter were looking a little tired and dated. The indoor and outdoor pools were fine. On the catering front dinners in the restaurant were excellent and they'd taken the ubiquitous Austrian salads to a whole new level. (Fish featured heavily and was excellent and the meats equally so with a extensive variety on both counts.) Breakfasts were disappointing though compared to other hotels and the service and both breakfast and inner could be a little chaotic and disorganised. They also ran out of croissant one morning and alcohol-free beer (for my wife) one evening. The staff were generally fine (housekeeping excepted - they were first-class) but some could be distant and aloof. There was little however by way of rapport with us (we were the only British guests we saw in the 2 weeks we stayed) but it was also lacking elsewhere with others. You don't expect the staff to become firm friends but you do expect some interaction and interest, even if they don't mean it. Whilst it's a good hotel I have some reservations about whether the 5 star rating is entirely appropriate. There was a lack of warmth and sociability and there was something missing, although I can't put my finger on exactly what it was. We left very early (6:45) and for a 5 star hotel you'd expect something resembling a breakfast. We received a packed lunch (prepared the day before) and managed to extract a cup of tea each and that was all. Finally a word or two on the area. The tourist infrastructure is not as well developed as that in NW Austria. The two local cable cars are, respectively, a 30 and 90 minute walk away, the latter on a strenuous uphill path. Public transport is virtually non-existent (at least in the summer) and the widely advertised Nockmobil taxi expensive. Mountains alms are often closed in the summer with the exception of those at the top of the cable car stations. It's a peaceful area though and the hotel itself was very quiet (in terms of noise). But neither it nor the surrounding area had enough going for it to make us want to return.

We have just been back to this hotel for the 5th time. I didn’t think it was possible for it to get better but it had. The food has improved, it is consistently good restaurant standard and they have introduced really varied starter buffets every evening. Things like roast quail, venison, mussels, a whole poached salmon... absolutely delicious. The hotel is perfect for us as it is very relaxed, has lovely indoor and outdoor pools with lots of loungers, tennis courts and a small gym, and 2 big spa areas. It has proper family suites - ours had 2 rooms, a bathroom, separate loo and a balcony with a view of the pool and the mountains. You can wander round all day in your bathrobe if you want to. The staff are friendly and, like most Austrian hotels, it is genuinely family run. And it’s quite easy to get to some good walking and 20 minutes drive to some pretty lakes.

This is our first time in this Austrian Ski Resort, that's why this review will be longer than usual. Hotel Pros: great location, very clean and spacious rooms. Hotel Cons: food, service, counting on daily leaflets than speaking with newcomers, pretending to be eco-friendly - but more as marketing strategy, not in systematic way. We found the hotel via our travel agent - the main requirement was to be close to ski lifts and to have its own spa. The hotel fulfills these requirements partially. The hotel has perfect location, also it is equipped with 2 swimming pools, spa area for adults only, and sauna and steam bath next to the internal pool. In the mornings the SPA area is just perfect - empty, so we enjoyed the silence and the pool. The sauna and steam baths are not working till 3 p.m., but I enjoyed the infrared sauna. At the afternoons all the Spa area is really full of people, and thus - unpleasant. We couldn't enter in the Salt steam bath in the adult's section at the afternoons. Hint: I would recommend to avoid going in spa center after 4-5 p.m., in case you like to silence and solitude, having in mind that you cannot enjoy sauna for free. Food: good, but monotonous breakfast, option to have some soup and snacks in lunch time. I am disappointed from the dinners - despite the efforts to present the food in a 'gourmet' style, the quantity was very minimalistic. Also if you have for example pumpkin soup for lunch, the same soup will be served for dinner - but in a gourmet style ;-) The vise versa was also true - dishes for dinner we could find the next day. The service in the dining room was very dis-satisfactory (with only one exception of qualified and quick waitress during the NY dinner), especially the timing. Part of the staff looked inexperienced, taking dishes while we were talking or taking pictures, we were waiting the next dish for an hour, etc. Hint: If you want timely serving, try to have table in more central part of the dining room. External services: Be careful, if you expect support from the hotel for your ski experience. We counted on the hotel to guide us how we could book children ski school, and we lost half of the first day, because the ski cards were issued by the hotels' reception with a wrong date. Hint: Plan and book your ski in advance via internet, or going to ski center out of the hotel. ECO: The hotel pretends to be eco-friendly - you won't find room cosmetics (!!! but you could buy such). Every day we received at least 2 paper leaflets with menu, or daily activities. No matter what paper is used, it is far away for eco-friendly policy. If a hotel is eco, there won't be cut-off Christmas tree instead of alive one at the back yard. The eco-policy in this hotel is not a system, whole standard - but announced eco partial, sometimes contradictory measures.

Location, food and SPA are fine. Be aware that even you are planning your holiday you should bring with you some more fancy clothing besides cosy or sport clothing since for dinner time is forbidden to wear sportswear or sport shoes. One evening I have had a health issues and because of that I took my favorite gym cloth. Owner remind me about rules and I could not belive that he remind me as I am kid ( owner House and owner rules, but money is not from his pocket😉).We finnished our dinner and my husband was willing to leave hotel immediatelly after this unpleasant situation. Even hotel has 4 stars it is not under EU standards as other 4star hotels are (no Room service, no posibilities to drink coffee or tea in the room...) Owners are traing to be pleasant but only for a few guests and per their choice. Massage room should be more pleasant (expecialy lights) with better educated person.

We stayed for the weekend in accommodation run by family Krenn. Warm welcome, great room with biggest window that oversees mountains and city below. Short walk through picturesque surroundings (5-7 minutes) and you're in very heart of the city, next to the ski lift and to the Römer thermal bad. Family Krenn members makes you feel like home. They serve very rich and tasteful breakfast. Mrs. Sonja's apricot marmalade tastes like heaven. You'll never forget it. Bring sample home.

Miss Anna runs the place very efficiently at the same time she is a very nice and helpful person. The price is average. The hotel is at the entrance of the train station. There is a paid parking lot of 25 Euro per day. It is convenient for self-driving and there is a distance from the old city. The bus at the door should be convenient. The room was small, the suitcase could not be moved, and the elevator was small. Downstairs is Burger King McDonald's Starbucks. 5 year old children do not have a bed, no money, breakfast is free. Breakfast is just a few, European hotel level is almost the same The train is under the window, but the window is tightly closed and there is no noise.

Location: Very good, 50 meters from the subway, just beside the Belvedere Palace. There is a nice old beer restaurant nearby, I ate three meals there. Facilities: The room is large, with floor-to-ceiling windows, which can be opened for use as a balcony, and the bathroom is separated from wet and dry; Service: Chat with the front desk lady, saying that about 80% of the hotel guests are from China. So the service is not to say, friendly and attentive. There are problems with the holiday service in Munich and Stuttgart. It’s a sudden feeling of enthusiasm in Vienna.

Five stars recommended! Although it is not the same as the station, the left hand pushes the box and walks for 10 minutes. The tourist information office is also recommended to walk. Just to note that there are two Imlauer nearby, our star is high and the facade is more stylish. The hotel is located near the Mirabell Garden, where there are also bus stops (to the Old Town, if you don't want to walk more, take two small stops, it's very convenient) and go to the main bus stop of Salzgummert. Bottled water and apples are available all day in the lobby, and towels are also available, although there are bath towels in the room. Excellent attitude at the front desk, patient and courteous! The room decoration is relatively new, the bathroom is large, the layout of the three rooms is reasonable, and the added sofa bed is also very large.

I walked out of the train station on the first day. I didn't expect this hotel was at the back door of the train station. I walked through a small garden that was too late at night to navigate and write for ten minutes, but these ten minutes still panicked. However, Mercure infected me with the standardized facilities and services of a global chain in the next two days. The breakfast was really good, the favorite was marinated salmon and hot chocolate. The fruit is also very fresh, so be sure to eat cantaloupe. In short, great, go to Mirabell Palace to catch the No. 2 bus directly. The fortress is a little further away, and taxis are not expensive

Although the hotel seems to be general, the more you live, the more flavor you feel and the feeling of home. From the front desk to the restaurant to the cleaning staff are very warm and friendly. The bathroom has a rack of toasted towels and clothes, which is automatically turned on every night (also remember to open the switch yourself!), the clothes must be dry the next day. Hotel location is excellent. Within a 15-minute walk from the Old Town of Salzburg, it is easy to visit the local sights of Salzburg, and the Salzburg Main Station can be reached within 10 minutes, making it easy to get in and out of Salzburg. Most importantly, the hotel is right next to the Mirabell Palace, which is also a place for a day trip to various nearby lakes starting from Salzburg to buy tickets and get on and off. You can go to Hallstatt for a day trip. Half-day tour of St. Wolfgangsee, Half-Day Tour of Music, etc. There is an Asian buffet (13 Euro/guest) opposite the hotel. If you like Asian food, you can solve it. It is recommended to walk (less than 10 minutes) to eat near the main train station. There are many choices, special features and not expensive. Walked 15-20 minutes from the train station, the location is OK. However, it is not possible to check in early. What is even worse is that at 3 o'clock, it is said that it has not been cleaned up, and it has to wait. This is not very satisfactory. Although it is a tight manpower on weekends, it can not harm the interests of the guests. Not far from the station, about 5-10 minutes. If there is Salzburg card, it is not recommended to walk to the old town, it is still quite tired to go to the sights. Go to the Stein Trail and the shopping area is closer. Breakfast is good, there are many Americans living. The room is small, the extra bed is not strong, there is no kettle, I have not used it for a long time. The highlight of this 600-year-old hotel is the service. The front desk or restaurant service is excellent. Professional service. Many high-end hotels have it. But this one makes people feel particularly sincere. Every word and every sentence they listen to and answer carefully and surpasses expectations. You do a good job, for example, when you see me have a bunch of coins at checkout, I will take the initiative to change the whole amount of money. I consult the trip to Munich and immediately help me find out and print out a list of the specific situation, which company bought the tickets How to get to the station ticket office Breakfast is average, but children are free (my child is 9 and a half years old) If you do not want to eat, there are McDonald's and Starbucks a few steps away, but the environment is always good One of the hotel's restaurants is the local one. It is the first recommendation on the lonely planet, so dinner can be solved at the hotel every day. One big one, two small juices, one soup, two main courses. Tips are not included. The hotel is diagonally opposite the square in front of the train station. The bus station is also here. There are many buses to go to the city (it seems there are 1, 3, 5, 6, 25, etc.). You can also go to Haierbu by taking 25 Rum Palace and Alpine Ropeway, Burger King, McDonald's, Starbucks, etc. in the square in front of the station, there are two SPAR supermarkets, and a customer service center (purchasing Salzburg card). Breakfast is OK, not particularly rich but enough, restaurant On the highest floor, you can see the Salzburg Fortress and the Alps. The disadvantage is that the hotel is about 3 kilometers away from the urban area. The location is not as good as imagined. It takes fifteen minutes to walk from the train station with the box. The room is quite big, there is a garden downstairs to eat, you need to bring your own toothpaste toothbrush soap shower cap. The picture on the bedside is really scary, especially at night. The most depressing thing is that check out at 6:30 in the morning, the front desk has not yet gone to work, the elevator has not opened, and the luggage has been moved down. The location of the hotel is very good. Not far from the train station and bus hub. The front desk service is also very good. Humanize. We stayed early in the morning. There was a cleaned vacancy and it was given directly to us. The layout of the hotel reflects Mozart’s hometown style, and the lampshades on the corridor are also a stills of music stories. Including the walls in the room, the cabinets are arranged, but the arrangement in the room is not everyone's favorite, it will be somewhat depressed. There is a coffee machine and a fridge in the room. In particular, it is recommended to share his family's breakfast, as a Western breakfast, or rich. There are juices that you can directly squeeze freshly, as well as a variety of preserves. On the table where you have breakfast, there is a hand-made book made by the store every day. There are weather notifications and Sudoku. I like this, very special. At the time of checkout, we received a city tax of 3 euros. Sleeping at night is also very quiet.

The hotel is very close to the train station. It is 4.5 minutes to walk. The owner is very enthusiastic, answering questions, helping to find a parking space and directing me to park. The key is that parking is free! ! This must be praised. . . The facilities are relatively old, but in Europe, such old hotels abound, but the hotel is well maintained, clean and refreshing. . . The breakfast is very good, the coffee is very good, the request is not very high, it is recommended. . .

The room was very comfortable, very close to the station, just a short walk, the heating was sufficient, the sound insulation was good, and the English communication was no problem. Local accommodations need to be paid separately (for a total of 3.1) for taxes and fees.

The room is quite big but the attic, the bathroom is dry and wet, 1 bed, 1 sofa bed, breakfast is not bad, the front desk uncle is Nice, give us a description of the location and location of Salzburg. We chose this one mainly to go to Vienna the next day, there are many suitcases, this is 500 meters away from the central railway station, and it will be a short walk. We stayed in the attic, the sound of the rain the next morning was a little loud, and one of the sofa beds was too small to sleep.

The hotel is located in the old town and is within walking distance to all attractions. Very convenient. Parking requires a public car park across the road, 15 euros per day. Comfortable bedding and great breakfast. No air conditioning! It just caught up with the huge summer heat in Europe this year and provided a fan. The road is outside the house, opening the window is noisy. There is also a climbing mountain opposite the hotel, it looks exciting!

The breakfast is very good, the room layout is very practical, the single room, the bathroom and the toilet are separate and independent, and the equipment is quite new. There is also a coat rack in the entrance hall porch, which feels very good. The room has a small balcony, the hotel has a restaurant to order, the restaurant has a large lawn outside, the environment is good. The hotel staff was very friendly and enthusiastic to answer the consultation. On the first night, I found that the shower room was not well. The next morning I told the little girl who was cleaning in the corridor. I immediately went in and used it very well. 5-6 minutes walk from the train station, there is a big supermarket in the train station is very convenient, Salzburg is not big, go to the old town attractions will be 20 minutes, suitable for leisure and holiday, convenient train travel, I like it!

Hotel location is very good, there is a bus at the train station, take the 3 road, 25 roads to the hotel, take the three stops, it must be the third stop, or have to go for a while. The main staple of breakfast is bread. However, there are a lot of boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. The waiters are not many insiders or Chinese. Figure 1 2 3 is the location of the hotel, and Figure 3 is the location of the train station in this place. If you go to the train station, it will take 15 minutes.

Located on the outskirts of the city, a 30-minute walk to the city center will cross a lush wild field and feel good. Hotel facing the lake, you must live in the room facing the lake to have a noble living experience. The entire building is older and many antiques are genuine, but they lack maintenance. The public flower circle is also maintained relatively rough. But the room was new and clean. The advantages and disadvantages are clear, and it is worth living again. Besides, there is also a sound view location for music.
