|0.37km from city centerThe hotel location is in the heart of Maiori across the road from the beach. The intersection with the main tourist attractions could be busy at times, but it did not bother us at all.. We stayed on the 4th floor. Very comfortable stay - elevator, big beach-front view room with large balcony and AC. King-size and tween beds. It felt like the hotel was relatively recently renovated. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was more than any continental breakfast could offer. Pool is decent size, clean and well-maintained. Plenty of lounge chairs around and it is free. Beach is located across the road from the hotel. It is private and everyone pays to access it - €50/day first, €45/day second, €35/day third row and so forth. For that you get 1 umbrella and 2 lounge chairs. There is a small cafe with a sitting area where you can order limited menu food and drinks. The beach is also available for other people, who are not the hotel’s patrons. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful - special thank you to front desk personal, specifically Pietro and Antonio for going above and beyond their duties.

But I would advise the owners to think about the evening entertainment of the hotel's customers, if not a little music underground outside sofas, because the customers would appreciate it, as they are in the outskirts. I would like to advise owners to think about reducing the price of the menu at both lunch and dinner, since only the tractor is favoured the headlight because much cheaper.

After arriving at the hotel, all the staff were very polite and felt like they were at home. The hotel's facilities and furnishings both reflect the Italian style and reveal extremely high-end. The hotel's private sea water is on the edge of the rock, there is no beach, but the service is particularly good. I think the quality of the sea water is average.

The standard of the rooms is excellent - we stayed in a family room and there was plenty of space for 2 adult and 2 children. Rooms are spotless and a good sized fridge is good for water etc. The host is friendly and offers to help with transfers and local advise. Breakfast is served on a terrace overlooking the valley and Scala and is delicious with fresh fruit and pasteries. Highly recommended

Once you find the hotel and arrange to have your car parked in some secret mysterious place for the daily fee of €30, you then have to cross a busy road and haul your suitcase up 27 steep steps. That’s not luxury. The rooms are very basic and the bathrooms pretty small. Don’t expect to find supplies of toiletries - only liquid soap is available. Anything else you may require is charged to your room in addition to the daily fee of €260 for B&B in the high season. That’s not luxury. Breakfast is served in the same room where the reception is situated so it’s likely you’ll have breakfast accompanied by new arrivals trundling their luggage through the room not to mention the dulcet tones of dishes being washed in the same room. That’s not luxury. If your looking for accommodation in the splendid town of Amalfi the Hotel Fontana offers a clean place to sleep and a mediocre selection for breakfast. But NOT LUXURY.

Opening our balcony doors each morning to the view down over the buildings below to the blue sea and across to the high hills and sheer rocky mountains above was pure joy. Riccardo was everything you could wish for in a host. Always smiling and willing to make dinner recommendations and special tips to ease daytime activity plans. Switching languages flawlessly depending on the nationality of the guests. The rain shower and bidet in the bath added to the feel of luxury. The vast, varied spread of choices at the breakfast buffet set us up for each adventurous day. This B&B was certainly great value for the money and it was clear that the manager’s heart was in pleasing his guests. We were so happy to have stayed our 4 nights in Positano here at Il Moro.

|0.66km from city centerMy husband and I stayed at the Duca Marigliano Boutique Hotel in Paestum, Italy in March 2023. We went to Paestum to visit the Greek Ruins - and this hotel was walking distance. Even though we were only there one night, the service was wonderful. The hotel is charming and the food is delicious. We were not there during high tourist season - so we were one of 3 couples at the hotel for the one night we were there. The hotel restaurant was quiet when we went in the later evening - but we were welcomed an catered to. We only ordered dessert (as we were very full from our late lunch at San Salvator La Dispensa - yum), but they brought out samples of other desserts for free. In the morning, we were welcomed to a breakfast that was included in the night stay fee. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of traditional foods and the best Earl Grey Tea - with steamed milk - that I had during my stay in Italy. Huge shout out to Pietro, who served us. Pietro went above and beyond at dinner and breakfast. As it was not tourist season, not everything in the hotel was open (sauna, outside seating areas) - I can imagine that the grounds are beautiful in the late spring, summer months. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Located by the sea with its own private beach, this is an excellent hotel for families and friends. All rooms have ocean views. It is quiet with only the sound of the water. The rooms are clean and well appointed with a good shower. The bed is firm and very comfortable. Rooms are bright. Sound proof windows. Rooms have brightly tiled flooring. The service is most friendly and the staff efficient. Good food in the restaurant and we had dinner there one evening after a long drive.

|0.44km from city centerWe spent 4 nights at Hotel Marincanto. This trip has been booked since 2019. The staff have beyond wonderful to work with during all the travel restrictions. They never collected any money from us until August , 30 days before our arrival. Location is perfect. We had the postcard Positano view. The room was fine (not luxurious ) but with an odd color scheme. Having a pool and beach access included was HUGE! I don’t think many hotels offer this. I cannot tell you how many people tried to access our beach area ( it’s not actually on the sand but was a few steps up on a concrete slab) . Marincanto beach setup is adjacent with a private beach club. There was an attendant at the entrance explaining to people it was private. The staff and location are the real standout here. The staff scored us dinner reservations at La Sponda ( something I was not able to do in my own). The front desk staff are all amazing. We had an early morning departure so we were going to miss breakfast. They had a care package waiting for us at check out of a light snack to take with us. Our last full day in Positano was awful weather. We went to the lobby for hot chocolate. When they bought us out the hot chocolate they included complimentary cookies. Such a nice thoughtful touch. Luigi the bartender is also wonderful. Breakfast on the terrace is absolutely beautiful. The terrace (Cele) is an absolutely beautiful location. We were able to watch a wedding from our balcony. It was beautiful. I can see why this is a popular wedding spot. They even had fireworks after. We really loved our time in Positano and really glad we chose this hotel. We would not have been happy paying for beach access every day! For that alone, this hotel is worth checking out.

What do you expect to pay small money in such a expensive place? )))) If you are used to luxury - you are on villas in Pozitano for a very different price. We chose a hotel only for accommodation, plan to travel on the coast during the day. The Pucar Hotel is designed for this and for this purpose the guests come here. Price It was three times lower than all the nearby hotels, so we expected the halupa and were pleasantly surprised. With white straps on the room, no running, so I won't tell about the spots on the carpet and so on. But visualally everything is very clean and pleasant. The electricity is correct, the soap is as in Russia. Welcome and responsive staff. Cosy rooms. Clean every day. In the bathroom, soap, shower gel, report regularly. We were unlucky with the weather, at the end of May night was +13, The second night was heated. The hotel has two sweetest dogs, which are always happy for you)) free parking. And we have not yet taken a tax on eviction. Breakfasts are mainly sweets - cakes, cakes, jams, yoghurts. Bread, eggs, cheese, ham, sausage. The famous prashutto was also. The diversity is not brilliant, but we were not able to stay hungry too. They were pleased with juices (at taste like natural) The location of the hotel is very atmospheric! We fell into a quiet shock as we arrived from Naples - mountains, lemons, clouds, waterfalls, beauty incredible! In the morning you will enjoy the singing of birds and the noise of the waterfall. To Majorie (coast) 5 minutes on the car. We went out for a walk in the first evening and found that in 40 minutes you can get on foot. But what will it be 40 minutes!!! It seems that we have left more experiences than Pozitano)) quietly, caloriously, beautifully ... In general walk yourself, don't regret, in words it is not described. First you go on the track. And as you see the nearest bridge across the river on the right - cross, there is a pedestrian area. In general, in price ratio - quality, I would say that quality is outweighed.

It is walkable to stores, bus stop, restaurants, and the beach and ferry station. Service was excellent with yummy and varied breakfast buffet. We sent out a bag of laundry which was not crazy expensive for area and had a same day turn around. Definitely recommend. Great views from the balcony.

The restaurant is comfortable and inviting and has a lounge area for a rest and a cocktail at the end of the day. Every staff member is extremely accommodating and friendly and can assist with any requests such as transfers to the airport, directions etc. Hotel Ancora is centrally located on a main road in town with easy access to the shops, restaurants, beach and marina, albeit many steps! Our superior sea view room was much larger than anticipated with an expansive balcony complete with table and chairs along with two chaise lounges and umbrella. A very large bathroom with beautiful blue vietre tiles also contained a jacuzzi tub with a view of the Mediterranean. Many thanks to Domenico, Lolanda, Angelica, Susie and the restaurant/bar team for making our stay so very special! We will choose Hotel Ancora when we return!

We can't say enough about them and how they really add to the experience of visiting Italy. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We dined 8 nights at the hotel and the food was delicious, inventive and offered a variety of courses, from fish to meat to vegetables. Minori itself is a quiet town, not far from the hustle and bustle of Amalfi but it's very convenient to get around using the bus system. The hotel staff was very helpful and showed us how to navigate the bus schedule which is a little confusing.

But they make eggs to order also! Our room was spotless with a very comfortable bed and lovely terrace for gorgeous views all day to take in the Positano port activities. Very close to the beach and delightful restaurants. Perfect if you enjoy swimming in the Tyrrhenian Sea. We had a room on the top floor which meant climbing a few flights of stairs but Alfonso the wonderful concierge helped us with our luggage. He also helped us book travel to and from with the local car services and gave us tips for local excursions. Sylvia the owner gave us great restaurant recommendations and always cheerful kind words. The entire staff was very hardworking and friendly which made our stay special. This hotel is positioned well for visiting the beach often and taking tours to other islands as well. We hope to be lucky enough to get to stay there again!

|2.24km from city centerThis was a 3 night mother-daughter trip. I settled on this place due to the positive reviews and location not being terribly far by car from the city centre. We were not disappointed. Airport pick up was arranged through the hotel for a cost but made our transfer to the hotel worry free and the driver Giovanni kindly brought our luggage up flights of stairs for us. Nicoletta, one of the hosts and our main contact was absolutely lovely. She took the time to answer any questions and accommodated our needs whenever feasible. Uri was our free shuttle driver to and from Amalfi centre, about a 20 minute drive each way. No request was too much and we consistently felt looked after as though we were family. We also had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Antonio, the owner. He too made us feel very welcome.

Not only does this hotel have a beautiful property, the staff are the best in the industry. We have stayed at a lot of different hotels but this one tops them all. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always open to answer any questions we may have had even prior to our visit. The room was elegant, immaculate, well-stocked with a comfortable bed and a breathtaking sea view. I cannot think of a single complaint. Simply impeccable experience. The hotel has a great pool, a well maintained garden and a restaurant where we used our breakfast where nothing was missing.
Our room had a beautiful view over the Gulf of Salerno, both daytime and nighttime. We were very glad with this service!
Beside this service, the staff of the desk, in the restaurant and near the pool were very friendly and willingly help us when we asked for it.
We used the penddle bus a couple of times and that was an extra service to go to the city or to the beach of Vietri.
We highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is clean and has the most beautiful terrace for breakfast, weather permitting. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice. The room was the biggest let down sadly. The window looked out on a brick wall so no natural sunlight. We did ask if we could change rooms (and of course pay an additional amount of money) but it wasn’t possible. It was disappointing as this was our belated honeymoon. The hotel room was booked via Trailfinders so no doubt was within our budget. My advice would be if having a view or balcony is important check what type of room you have booked. There is a beach that is private for the hotel. There is a cost of €35 per day to hire two sun beds, towels and parasol.

Our room was beautiful and clean with amazing views and I was obsessed with the massive size of the bath towels! We had a wonderful breakfast every morning sitting on the outdoor patio overlooking the beach and sea. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, making us reservations and setting anything else up that we needed help with. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything you want in town, the duomo, the bus, the ferry, the beach and the best restaurants. The pool area is also very nice, never crowded and wonderful service up there. We loved the boutique aspect of the hotel but still received 5 star service. We would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting amalfi.

I had been searching for a place in Positano and happened upon this sweet B&B hotel semi-randomly. The place my parents suggested was full, as was the very expensive hotel our friends were staying at. But wow! Was this a GEM! Staff: Manuela, her aunt, son...everyone was incredible. The weather did not cooperate with us at all and it POURED our entire trip--but Manuela helped us with finding other things to do, helped coordinate a ride to dinner, and even called a sandal shop for me because I couldn't figure out how to contact them about picking up the shoes at a later time. ON TOP of that--she even walked a route and sent me a video for how to find a real bank (not one of the expensive solo ATMs that you should try to avoid). Plus she scheduled us an in room massage, and our dinner reservations. Above and beyond doesn't even being to describe the hospitality. (And her lemoncello spritz was delicious!) Accommodation: We had literally the room of my dreams. A huge terrace, double doors and enough space that we even had in-room massages. The bathroom was fine, toilet, separate bidet, and shower stall. The shower was a little tight if you're a larger person, but it was totally fine and worked for me. Location: I thought the location was FANTASTIC! They're close to the ”top” of a one-way road, and pick up place (the grotto?) which made coming in or getting picked up relatively easy. I also thought we were out of the fray of the main square and clubs...but that was close enough to walk/stroll to. I loved the view (especially when we got sun our last morning there) and wished we could've spent more time there. Food/Breakfast: Breakfast was lovely, the staff was wonderful, and we sat at the same cute table each morning, which was fabulous. We also had dinner at the place next door (owned by a family member) and it was also delicious and I believe we got a discount. Overall--this place is a gem and we cannot wait to return! My spouse and I agreed to comeback so we can do Positano without all the rain, and staying here is our plan without question! See you soon, Manuela!

There is a decent sized swimming pool that we had access to next to the apartment so we didn’t need to use the bigger pool that was used for weddings. 4. The pool we used was a 1 minute walk from the apartment and wasn’t busy. 5. The bedroom was of a good size. 6. The kitchenette was functional. 7. It was possible to wash our baby in the bathroom, although tight the shower was big enough to put our travel inflatable baby bath in the base. 8. Beach was very nice as long as you sat in the 3rd row of chairs it was free. 9. The smell of eucalyptus trees on the way to the beach was nice. 10. The sea was a 10 minute walk, even with the baby and the heat it was easy to do and didn’t use the shuttle bus once. 11. Local shops are limited but good enough. (Didn’t find any baby formula though) 12. The staff were as accommodating with questions as my no Italian and their broken English allowed. 13. They let us settle our bill the night before we left as we were leaving early and they said there would only be a skeleton staff. 14. Using toll roads it’s only about 1 and half hours from Naples airport. (Don’t leave “avoid tolls” on like I did initially as that drive wasn’t fun and took and extra hour) 15. Toll was €2.10, I used cards and this worked every time although the transaction on a Sunday didn’t appear on my statement for 2 days, all other days the toll came off the card immediately. 16. We used the big pool in the photos once. It was nice and the baby liked it on a day when there weren’t any weddings. 17. Paestum really was very close and fully worth a visit. 18. Pompeii was only about an hour away with a €2.10 toll each way. 19. Decent safe in the bedroom, could fit my 13” laptop. 20. Hair dryer in bathroom was ok. Negatives 1. The large pool was closed for weddings between 12:30 and 15:30 and not cleaning as we had been told. 2. We weren’t disrupted by the weddings but they were every day from what a guest staying in the main hotel said. 3. No kettle in the apartment. 4. No iron in the apartment. 5. Massive sink in a small bathroom was a bit odd. 6. The shower, glass door runner always jammed and had clearly been “repaired” at some point. The kitchen tap and the shower water are connected so don’t use them both at the same time or the temperature gets very severely affected. 7. The apartment only had a single free bed linen change which did not include a room clean. 8. There was a €40 charge to clean the room which included towels and bed linen change 9. The AC only went down to 21° 10. The large AC unit outside between the apartments and the car park was very noisy and could be heard in the apartment at night. 11. Reception staff had better English than I have Italian, not really a bad point but a bit difficult as I have no Italian. I used google translate a lot. 12. Breakfast was very limited. We had a huge vase of white lilly's in our room, an amazing chandelier, and an absolutely fantastic little balcony with a beautiful view. It felt lux, and summery, and relaxing. We only stayed two nights, and it was just so comfortable and we enjoyed it immensely. Amara and the staff were lovely! So accommodating, and helpful. They delivered us breakfast early so that we could eat before we went out on a tour which felt so above and beyond. If we go back to Positano, this is where we will be staying again!
