      - Good location to explore Avoca, Terrigal and Umina Beach, and nearby areas within the Central Coast. - Rooms (we stayed at a 2 bed villa, with 1 toilet) are old and musty. Flooring is carpeted. The carpets haven't been replaced in years and they smell, look and feel like it. The toilet and kitchenette too could do with a refresh / upgrade. All of the furniture. lighting and upholstery needs to be replaced. The balcony could also do with a little work. - The rooms are old but not unlivable. - The basic common facilities (coffee shop and restaurant, 2 pools) are not bad. Could do with a wider and upgraded menu serving wider palettes. - The staff members were good. - We didn't have any room cleaning or towel replacements during our 3 day stay (could be that it wasn't included - would be nice though). - It definitely isn't cheap. Would expect more for this price. Hence the rating of 3.

Pros: We booked over the phone for a room the same day, and got a slightly discounted rate. We checked in after reception closed but we got our key and found our room easily. We appreciated the lovely complementary chocolate. The main room was clean, modern and fresh looking, and the kitchenette contained all you’d need to make a meal. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp and clean. The TV was huge & had plenty of channels. Over all it was fairly good value for an overnight stay. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool area but it looked really inviting. There seemed to be some good options for dining within walking distance, but as we had a car it was easy to drive around town. Cons: the bathroom could use an update. It was fairly clean, but was dated. There were signs of mould in places and somehow there was a small amount of water leaking from somewhere when the shower was used. The shower head was over a bathtub, which we dislike (especially my 6’4’ husband) because it feels pokey. They may have rooms with stand alone showers, so next time I would ask for this. I didn’t see a lift so if you have heavy luggage it might be better to ask for a lower room rather than lug it up flights of stairs. They require guests to empty their rubbish into the large bins downstairs- we didn’t realise this condition as it is listed in their check in paperwork, which we didn’t see or sign till checkout due to our late arrival. The staff said it was fine though which was nice of them.

A one-bedroom suite with sea view and pool view is set, but in fact, you can only see the sea by going to the terrace. What you see in the house is the guest room opposite... The room facilities are very complete, refrigerator, washer dryer, and jacuzzi. The kitchen has pots and utensils, and the stove is very convenient. We have stayed in this complex before when w evoked directly through Mantra. This time around we booked through the premium apartments, we didn’t realise I til we locked up the key it was in the same building. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Lovely big corner spa, right in town so close to food options and shops, next door to Ettalong diggers which was an easy dinner option. Long corridors can be noisy and echo but we didn’t hear anyone after about 8pm. Nice balcony, stove top and fridge, washer and dryer Downside was we drove around in circles for about 10 minutes trying to find the building before we realised it was at the Mantra. On the corner of the block is a real estate and you go in there and collect your keys. We booked through booking.com and the instructions were not sent to us. After hours of travelling with an infant we would have liked to avoid this last minute search.

I booked a family room for myself, husband and two adult children. The accommodation was advertised as Executive Family and $20 extra Deluxe . The rooms looked large in the pictures. What we got was ordinary double room with two single beds. A recorded message when we called Reception. After dinner still no-one in Reception. So my husband and children showered which is beside the toilet with one of those tiny sliding doors. I am a large woman. Whenl tried to enter the shower l could not pass through the half door. We went to see Reception at 0900 hrs and explained my problem asking that we be allow to pay for the one night we had used and the lady said that it was not possible. She offered the use of a disabled shower but the room was too small for the four of us. We were told to go to our room and Reception would contact us. A housekeeper brought us the key for the disabled room and l was told that l could only use the shower we couldn't have the room as it was booked later in the day. The lady at Reception said that it was a thirty year old motel and this was the size of the rooms but it is not what is shown in the pictures We told reception that we were leaving and asked again that we be charged just for the time used and she said no. I were charged the two nights. The rooms are small, the shower was small and the staff were disinterested in helping. If the excuse was the thirty years of age of the Motel then perhaps the rates should also reflect this, which they did not.

So disappointed with the room. There was an old chip or biscuit under my bed. The shower curtain had a long black hair on it. One face towel was stained with foundation. Then to top it off the curtain had several hooks broken that the morning sun was beaming through early morning! And because of Covid there is no buffet breakfast and you can only order off a menu. So the value isn’t there. Wouldn’t recommend paying for breakfast. So stay to say we were very disappointed with our stay!

Stayed here last September for a swimming carnival and couldn’t fault it. So my daughter booked on line for a TRYathlon that my grandson was in today - using the same room details. This was months ago. We were disappointed that it was a different room upon arrival. Several reasons were given, including renovations, but these were done before our previous booking. Then we were told that online must call these room by a different name. No - we had the details from our previous booking, same room descriptions. Funnily enough, my other daughter booked on line, AFTER us and got the room we wanted. We still had plenty of room and couldn’t do much about it, but none the less disappointing. The room was spacious, and clean with all the usual inclusions, no hair dryer though. Nice clean white bed linen and towels, and comfortable beds. Modern bathroom with a waterfall shower head. Heavy cigarette smell, was wafting up from downstairs, which was a unpleasant, but it is a hotel. Just a shame we could smell it in our room. We had a beautiful meal downstairs for 9 people and all thoroughly enjoyed it. All our lights blew, when my grandson went in to shower, but It was fixed promptly. Then immediately went out again, when turning on the bathroom light again. There was a fault with the switch and it was tripping everything. They were fixed again, but we were unable to use this switch. They said an electrician would come the next day. We showered and used the toilet in the dark, which was a little unsafe. We were given 2 x $25 dollar vouchers, but unfortunately they expire by 1/5, so doubtful they will be used. Perhaps a longer time frame would be more useful? All in all, it is a nice place for a night and the location was great for where we needed to be. One thing to consider is the live band which can be heard from the rooms, which could be a problem for some....

Stayed here during a last minute business trip. Rooms are simply furnished but very clean and comfortable, all you'd need for a night or two. The microwave oven in the room was a nice touch although it wasn't needed this trip. Rear door access, heating and cooling were good, and the bed was clean and comfortable. Quiet too, despite being only a little back from the main road. Check in was friendly and easy. The car park could be a little tight if you have a large 4WD, but it just means taking a little extra care, nothing that would prevent anyone with a large car parking there. Would definitely stay again.

This unit is over-priced. We stayed in a double unit, the two of us, which is better suited to either 2 couples or 2 adults and 2 kids which would justify the price. Upstairs is almost a carbon copy of downstairs in that both have almost full kitchens (no ovens), excellent reverse cycle air conditioning, TV's etc. Other than a very old, very off carton of milk left in the fridge the unit was exceptionally clean. Upon arriving, we were asked to pay which we had already done when booking. Beware no refunds once booked although this didn't apply in our case. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful. Had to ask for toilet paper and purchase milk as only two small milk thimbles in fridge. Expected to wash up, dry and put away dishes and utensils before leaving and remove all garbage. We usually do this anyway but I thought it was quite an ask to be expected at those prices. It's post-Covid so I am wondering if lack of staff is the reason for this and perhaps this may change in the future. No buffet or restaurant on site. No room service. Don't expect any meals. No foxtel as advertised. At least we couldn't get it but they did have Netflix provided. We took our chromecast with us, thank goodness! The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Maybe 25 metres? Also, in the afternoon a lot of it is shaded. It's not heated so it's pretty chilly even in late November. The beach is gorgeous but the room we had didn't have views and the units are in the street behind the main shops so whilst very close to the beach (a mere two minutes) it isn't overlooking the beach. Also, very tight carpark if you have a larger car. I would recommend the family unit or double unit for 3 to 4 people. Otherwise stick to a single unit. I probably would not return unless with another couple because there are nicer places with more amenities that don't expect you to do the housework at the same or even better prices.

It is suitable for self-driving friends. The car can park at the cabin ticket. The camp has My own private beach, the campsite is the RV campsite, there are many barbecue grills for guests to use for free, and there is a large kitchen in the campsite for guests to use for free, and the campsite is very large, there are many amusement facilities and swimming pools, which is only a short distance from the campsite. I arrived Saturday for a one night stay to attend a wedding. Checkin was seamless and I was able to use my NSW voucher which made the room only $55 for a Saturday Night! What?!? Such a bargain. The lady that checked me in (Elenore?) was very friendly and easy to talk to. My room was number 19, which is the second floor. The room was perfect, far better than other places I’ve stayed around the world. Bed was comfy and clean, bathroom was spotless and the kitchenette was great and not expected for the price (kettle, toaster, bar fridge (with water jug, little mills), microwave and tea / coffee. 2 plates, 2 bowls, cutlery, glasses and tea towel. I had some issues with road noise, but I’m a super light sleeper, I ended up sleeping with the AC on for abit of white noise. The bathroom has been half renovated - new shower and vanity. But old original floor tiles and shower taps. They still worked fine. But the shower door was abit on the narrow side, so if you are a little on the podgy side you may need to “suck it in” to get in the shower. The floor of the room was all tiles, which creates abit of noise when moving furniture but I never heard another guest and it was fully booked. The only thing I can think of that MIGHT be a major issue is if you have a large car, the parking spaces are narrow and short. I thankfully have a small car, but I’m also short so can’t see the end of the bonnet so it was abit tricky when I left. I hope I have some other events to attend on the central coast so I can stay again. It is the perfect location, a quick shoot over the back of Kariong Hill to get to Woy Woy. Down the hill to Gosford and Terrigal or back along the highway to the northern parts of the central coast. Thanks again :)

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The bed was the best we have slept in. The apartment was large with a lounge and a small deck, the shower was great. Very close to the beach and in walking distance of great restaurants. Microwave and hot plate available to do your own catering and complimentary packet of cereal, milk, juice and water provided. Highly recommend.

Stayed for three weeks in January 2022, on a visit from the UK. Jodie found us a room which catered exactly for our needs for a longer stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were all very pleasant, efficient and helpful. Standard of cleanliness was excellent. Local facilities close by, with shopping centre across the road, and cafes, and bar in easy walking distance. If we needed to stay in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Jodie and all the staff.
