I stayed here for 5 days when I came over for Graspop. A great inn/motel that was perfect to return to after a long day Comfortable bed and was also provided with quite a few excellent pillows. The room would always be clean when I returned with towels replaced as requested. The AC was cold which was great since it was a pretty hot summer week. There was no issues with late night access (as long as you have you keycard with you) as was my case, returning close to 0300 daily The staff were friendly and it felt more akin to a B&B style hospitality. Breakfast had limited options (scrambled eggs, bacon, breads, fruits, drinks) but was always hot and tasty All in all a great stay here, and if I ever return for Graspop again, B-Inn will be my choice of accomodation

Het was helaas een zeer teleurstellende ervaring. Denk niet dat we iets tegen België hebben. Integendeel in Antwerpen zijn we dit weekend uitstekend geslaagd voor bruidschoenen voor mijn as echtgenote en 's avonds hebben we heerlijk en gezellig gegeten in restaurant Zin in Edegem. Echter verleid door de 8.8 waardering had ik een suite in hotel Ter Elst gereserveerd. Op zich was het een ruime suite alleen wel wat kaal. Ik. Erwacht dan ook wat glaswerk om uit te kunnen drinken en niet wegwerp plastic bekertjes. Neem dan fraaie papieren. Vervolgens bleek de linkerkant kant van het tweepersoons bed in tweeen gebroken! Duidelijk zichtbaar en voelbaar. Bij de receptie was de eerste reactie dat het jammer was en er helaas geen oplossing voorhanden was. Uiteraard nam ik daar geen genoegen mee. Nadat de man na enig aandringen mee was gegaan kwam er toch een nieuw bed. Toen wij na dat heerlijke diner op onze kamer terug kwamen was dat geregeld. We hadden het wel zo leuk gevonden een kleine geste voor het ongemak aan te treffen. Helaas. Verder wel goed geslapen. Toen naar het horror ontbijt. Allereerst geen borden en vorken. Wij houden dan van scrambled eggs met bacon. Helaas op. Dat lag in de hete lucht oven op te warmen. Voor €20,- p.p. verwacht ik toch echt vers gebakken knapperige bacon en scrambled eggs! Die scrambled eggs hebben wij niet gezien. Vanwege het gebrek aan borden hebben mij vrouw en ik het ruim een half uur later samen met 1 bord met daarop twee half lauwe opgepiepte kant en klare omeletten met slappe opgewarmde plakjes bacon moeten doen. De jus d'Orange kwam uit een pak.en de koffie uit een thermoskan vond ik echt niet lekker. Bij de gratie gods kreeg ik een espresso. Ook het brood waren opgewarmde sneden uit de diepvries. Het was echt niet overdreven druk. Bovendien was iedereen relaxed vanwege het extra uurtje wintertijd. Bij het uitchecken werd ook niet gevraagd of we het naar onze zin hebben gehad. Wij komen daar nooit meer terug!

The hotel is in an ideal location, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. That said, I would strongly recommend avoiding it during the spring/summer. They do not have AC or even ventilators (no, really) in the rooms. You cannot open the windows since they do not have insect screens (no, really) and the area has a lot of mosquitoes, as others have commented. I understand that the weeks leading up to our stay had been unusually warm, however, they were not very keen on accommodating us - when asking for a ventilator, they simply said ”they cannot make any promises” (see below). Putting it bluntly: during the first night, if I would have let a dog stay in my room, I could have been sued for animal endangerment. I'm not exaggerating. After multiple requests we finally got a toy fan shown in the picture (see pillow for scale). I was able to acquire a proper fan, else, we would have either had to leave or get a heat stroke.

For the most part the hotel is nice enough, especially for the price. Location is about 10 mins walk from a train station, which is one stop away from Antwerp Central. The staff at check in are friendly and professional. The big cons for us were these two situations; 1) When we got to our room and started settling down, I spotted underwear (previous occupants') which had found its way under one of the furniture in the room. It turned out to be clean but we informed reception on our way out into the city and they quickly apologised and had someone sent to our room to clear that out. - Cleaners could do a better job giving one last check when cleaning rooms between occupants, though I do understand that the days we were there was when the hotel was fully booked. But still. 2) That night, around 11.30pm when we were in our room with the window shut, we started hearing people shouting like hooligans from outside on the street -- so we shouted at them from our room o keep quiet as it was late and shut the window again. Then we started hearing these guys (4 or 5 of them) shout at us to go down and fight them (?) and asking us what our room number was (??). We also saw them trying to count the floors and windows. Obviously we didn't tell them, but we informed reception. About an hour later, there was VERY loud banging on our door and shouting for us to come out, once again we called reception and after a while the shouts stopped. We didn't feel very safe even to go out to the smoking area, so we called reception for some kind of help or assurance (and later on went down to talk to the person at reception at the time (the night reception, named Wim) to which we were told that; - Ppl shouting at us from the street below for our room number to go down to fight, & the people banging on our door to come out and fight was *apparently* not the same ppl. - Ppl banging on our door, was apparently a drunkard banging on everyone's door, and may not even have been a customer of theirs (which is extremely unlikely). - That we shouldn't have shouted back at them to keep quiet, because apparently it was fine to be shouting on the street directly outside the hotel up till 2am. The entire time he didn't apologise for the disturbance or reassure us even once that we would be safe - only said that they could help to call the police if something happened. -- Basically the night reception was really bad, and I was honestly worried for our safety that first night. Wasn't great.

Convenient location to get into town by public transport. The lobby is nice, clean and cozy. The courtyard is also very nice. It’s got a huge parking lot right under which is also very convenient. Despite the the signs “non-smoking room” it reeked of cigarettes. The kind only smoker’s home does. The room seemed clean but there wears some dust collected in different places. The bed was made in a way I wouldn’t expect from a no-star hotel. Something that takes less than 10 seconds to fix. Reception desk staff was very nice and friendly. Anyway. Not what you’d expect from a Radisson hotel. Judging by the comments so far it seems attention to detail has gone down just recently.
