(This review is for a stay back in Jan 2022) I had a relaxing time at Residence Inn. The manager Wendy Williams was very kind and accommodated us so wonderfully I had to do a review. She went above and beyond to give us fantastic service. She even gave the guest some of the old furniture as the hotel was going under renovation. Many guests were happy to pick through the items near the dumpster; despite having a few things set aside, another guest took my items before I got a truck to remove them. Wendy went above and beyond to have her staff find me the exact items in other rooms. Not only did she replace my items, but she also gave me artwork (three frames) and beautiful pillows, and an office chair. When I arrived at the hotel, I knew I would have a relaxing time because I’d stayed there three times prior in the last five years, but I never knew the chair I’m sitting in here to write this review would come from the Marriott. Thanks, Wendy!

We stayed there 4 nights for a family wedding in September 2021. -Some of our rooms were only partially cleaned and not fully prepared when we checked in. There were no pillows cases on the pillows and no towels in the bathroom. -The bathroom sink in my room was severely clogged the entire time. -The coffee machine in my room did not work at all. -All 3 elevators stopped working at one point ( 30 mins or so) forcing my elderly family members to walk up and down several flights of stairs. They finally got 1 of the 3 elevators to work but it ran very slowly and created long waits. - Several family members had nights when no one cleaned their rooms. This is completely unacceptable at any hotel! If they are that short staffed then they should not be open. We understood there was no lunch, dinner or room service because they, like many other places, are struggling to get back on their feet after covid-19 but the other problems we experienced were awful. I wish we had pick a different hotel. - The staff at the front door and on the phone were fine and did the best they could to solve these issues but were clearly overwhelmed and needed supervision. Unfortunately, I did not see a single manager the entire 4 days during my stay or at the front desk while any of these problems were occurring. I thought about asking to see a manager but decided to spend that time talking with family and not talking with a manager. The executive housekeeper (Senya(sp?) was very polite, embarrassed about all of the problems and apologetic but tried to do what she could to solve this issues. She was extremely professional and responsive). She deserves special recognition! At one point I tried to tip her and she absolutely refused to take any money from me. She's a star! So glad she did what she could to help my family during this special occasion. Shaniece, the Sales Coordinator, did an outstanding job booking all of the family rooms and was a pleasure to work with by email in advance of my family arriving. Thanks for reading.

I am in the area every week for work. I have stayed at this hotel 2 times now. Both times they have kept my $100 "incidental" deposit as they call it. I call it a scam!! if you want to pay extra, and not get it back like you are supposed to then this is a great hotel for you. Its a scam!! I called and spoke to a guy at the front desk, he said it is common for the hotel to keep the deposit money. I am just out $200 now, $100 for each stay. Just lost a lot of business from me and my co-workers. Hope the $200 is worth it

The hotel was o.k. with amiable staff and would've been more enjoyable if there weren't issues as follows: The hallway that my room was in was constantly filled with smoke and ********* smell. With my health conditions, those things were negative to me. In addition, there were no curtains on the one window in the room, so there was definitely a huge lack of privacy. On top of that, I was charged a $50 deposit in case there is damage to the room which I found weird. Usually, such charges are made after the fact, after people have checked out. Some pluses: - Great indoor restaurant but it seems to be constantly too busy to really take takeout orders. - Nice gym. - Close proximity to a McDonald's down the road. - Close proximity to highways. - Relatively clean rooms. - Reception honored my request for a quieter room, away from everyone, which I appreciated but there was a massive amount of cigarette and ********* smell in the hallway constantly and sometimes, loud noises from other people in the hallway. In addition to noises in the hallway and a huge ton of ********* and cigarette smoke smell, I also didn't receive free breakfast as advertised. Luckily, there was a McDonald's down the street.

Exhausted driving from a reputable fully booked hotel I stumbled upon metro points hotel on annapolis road last night and booked it on booking.com to ensure I would get a safe restful night and hot shower at a good price. Paid $80 for double beds; $100 deposit, and $10 for microwave rental. Given room 615 it was musty, smelly, carpet filthy, furniture stained, microwave put on luggage rack for me to place on table. After eating and unpacking and sending 6 damage pictures to the email address front desk gave me over the phone to report again damage I had reported to the clerk(wrong email address btw); I discovered there was no hot water in room 615. The night clerk whom I called; after I said Hello and identified my room said "l'm listening". Then told me he could give me another room to move to; but there was nothing else he could do for me at 11pm. I got dressed, put all belongings, and my rented heavy microwave on the luggage cart and went to the 1st floor to be assigned room 610 on the floor I was on. Room 610 did have good hot water to go along with the two Roaches that ran when the timer lights flicked on; 610 had not been cleaned in weeks. The outer toilet bowl had dust, dirt, and debris on it especially the side closest to the wall. The chair and carpet were stained like the first room; only worse. Upon telling the Awful Unprofessional UnCaring Manager I was brushed off and told to send the 12 damage pictures to the correct website because she didn't care to look at them. This place is UnSanitary; they have cut back staff and Decent Service to save Money without taking any actual Covid Precautions. There tap water comes out Gray and has to be boiled to be used!. Avoid at All Cost!!!. There antiquated lamps are hard to turn on and off. They have no care or Decency. No Amenities; all self service; 6th floor ice machine broken. Manager offered to refund my microwave rental and charge me full price again if I stayed another night since I explained how last night was Awful and that I was still exhausted!!! She offered me $20 for my trouble. Customer service is non Existent at metro points hotel in New carrolton on annapolis road. When I told her there service was "Janky" she told me not to rebook for today.I Will Never Stay in this Filthy Place Ever!!! I have 12 pictures to prove what I'm saying. To be posted as soon as I figure out how. Still exhausted searching for new hotel!!!

My son and I enjoyed our stay. We were in town for an event at the University of Maryland and found this hotel perfect for us. It's in a great location with easy walking to the University, restaurants, and a CVS. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfy, and there were plenty of sockets and ports to charge our devices. I was worried it would be loud with a football game and the people there for that, but it wasn't. I took advantage of the breakfast and noticed the lady bustling about making sure it was clean and stocked. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I noticed parking filled up at night, but we got there early and didn't leave until we checked out, since we could walk everywhere. Thanks!
