I stayed 2 nights. This hotel provides u w a cozy comfortable atmosphere. The personnel are all welcoming, polite, and accomodative. Special thanks to Murat Bey, front desk manager. The chef makes and serves high quality breakfast w large variety of continental and mediterranean breezes. The location is 3 min walk from Çiğli İzban station. Overall, I strongly recommend.

Interior design of the room was so different and amazing. Hotel Staff was helpful. Hotel is very central . Try to upgrade to the deluxe room as its bigger. The only reason is not 5 stars is the bathroom. When you take a shower even though I closed the door. The water leaks outside the shower cabin.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in April 2019 as part of a 7-day bus tour focussed on biblical and historical sites in Turkey. As the hotel was pre-selected by our tour company, we really had no say in its choice. It was chosen (I believe) for its proximity to 3 archeological sites on our tour (Sardis, Smyrna and Philadelphia) and its luxury/amenity level (high enough to satisfy foreign tourists.) The property is certainly located in an opulent part of town. Driving in, we were struck by several consecutive blocks of high-end bridal shops just before we reached the hotel. Check-in was very fast but our tour group leader was extraordinarily organized in that respect, credit to both her and the hotel. The lobby gave a good first impression of the hotel’s luxury level, but as we made our way to our second floor room we felt overwhelmed by the odor of perfumed cleaning agents in the wet hallway carpet. Our room likewise reeked of the same smell. Knowing it would make us sick if we lingered in it too long, we beat a hasty path to the dining hall. Our tour included buffet dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were fine. Nice ambience, great selection and excellent quality. No complaints at all about the food or the service. When we returned to our room, the smell had thankfully subsided to a level we could live with. The room was uncomfortably warm but not much could be done. The windows didn’t open and like most hotels in Turkey, this one appeared unwilling to run AC during non-summer months. The room carpet was stained in places (reminded us of the Movenpick in Petra, Jordan) and the wifi was slow. Outside of those complaints, the room was nice. The furnishings were nicely appointed and the king bed quite comfortable. The room had all the amenities we could possibly want on a 1-night stop: adequate space (no feeling of squish), nice work desk, comfy sitting chair with ottoman, good lighting, flat screen TV (didn’t have time to watch it), spacious dresser drawers, kettle with china cups and tea service, and mini-fridge. The bathroom was likewise appealing: lots of space, sparkling clean, nice fixtures, spacious vanity on which we could both spread our stuff. Water was hot and pressure was fine. The view out the window onto the street below was pretty ordinary but on a hectic tour like ours we valued room comfort far more than a great view. With a few tweaks this could be a really excellent stopover hotel deserving of a 5-star rating. But due to the flaws mentioned in this review, especially the reeky perfume, we had to knock off at least 1 point. We therefore award the Movenpick Hotel Izmir a rating of 4 stars out of 5. We’d certainly consider staying again.

it was expected that it would be the best hotel for 10 days trip, but it was not, even the cheapest for 20 euro was better. The problem was in my expectation and reality. Price/service correlation is poor. Yes. the building itself is new, the room is modern, but let's back to the service.. it's radisson.. 1. it's was the only one hotel in a whole turkey who did not help us to park a car and even more, when we did it, only after we were told that we can't park here in front of door (they actually saw us, but did nothing). Ok. 2. They did not help up with luggage, which was not heavy, but still. Ok.. 3. The room: seems the designer in the hotel did not though about making the stay comfortable. The fridge lights all the time.. the front door is made from glass and the light never turned off.. what is the sense to have very expensive blackout curtains in the room if you can't turn off the light inside the room? Sure.. it's very nice on the photos. The workaround was to turn off the fridge from electricity chain. Anyway as a fridge it don't work as expected ( I mean you can't get cold water from it and store products). 4. it's noisy around the hotel. The buildings near (even not buildings, the leftovers from them) were under contractions and very noisy work was started early morning even on weekend. 5. where is the tea and coffee??? in the hotel description written that is should be in each room, but nothing.. even no kettle, no cups, no glasses.. It must be in such hotel! it was even no glass for toothbrush. Could be I expect too much.. because it was even no toilet paper in the room (only the small leftover and I had to call on the reception). 6. ah.. yes.. and luggage room.. you don't have.. why you lie that you have it if luggage of your guests you simply leave in the lobby without any control. What?? I did an experiment, after few hours were back and I was going directly to my bag, in the reception it was no reaction and they ask me nothing, how they know that it's my bag, not the one in another corner, how they know at all that I was stayed here.. wiered security.. I'm done and I'm really that sad you having a new and nice building, having clean rooms was rated by me so low.. because you awful for a service point of view.

The bath strongly needed renovation. We payed for breakfast but they didn't provide it because we left early and they didn't offer compensation. Not close to the bazar. The roads outside are extremely narrow.

Advantages: Two administrative city view rooms opened, free upgraded administrative sea view room, the room is big enough for administration! Hotel hardware is good. There are also a lot of installation art and sculptures. insufficient: 1. It is really hard to find a place to park. Here to tell everyone: the navigation location continues to move forward, two right turn and then forward about 200 meters on the right hand side of a parking lot (the ground has a lifting column) told him to live in the hotel. There are receptions and there are also porters. Then walk through the lobby to the reception. 2. The beer price in the restaurant is not scientific, several people Just take a few drinks and just a few hundred liras, think back to the top 35 lira a small bottle? 3. Check-in and check-out at the front desk are required, and many customer service personnel will not increase the check-in counter. Summary: In Izmir, this is a very quality luxury hotel! Recommend everyone to stay.

Previously stayed at another BW hotel in Izmir and thought we would have a change. It wasn’t a good idea. The hotel is in a good location, the staff are friendly and helpful, but overall the hotel is tired looking and lacks a modern feel. The room was reasonable with a reasonable view of the the sea. The bedding we assume was clean, and certainly hope so, but it was unironed and so horribly creased. This not acceptable . We were the only 2 eating in the restaurant. The room is dull and attention should be urgently given to the floor area b the room vent system- not been cleaned for some time. Food order was taken quickly. We decided against ordering wine as at 135TL for a wine that can be purchased at the Metro trade store tor less than 40TL is not good value. My wife ordered the almond chicken with asparagus- the dish arrived, it was nice, but totally lacking in any asparagus. If an item is on the menu please serve it explain that it is not available. We decided against having breakfast in the morning as the only choice was a Turkish breakfast. For an international chain the option of other types of breakfast should be made available. All in all it was a disappointing visit and can’t understand what the “Plus” is about as we didn’t get anything we would not have gotten in other hotels.

Our check in experience was very strange... we had booked a room with a double "murphy" bed and queen size bed but were given one king size bed. It seems the hotel had decided we were a couple. We asked again and again for a room with two beds and we were told we would have to pay extra despite our Hotels.com booking clearly saying we had paid for two beds, queen AND murphy. We decided not to challenge them as they were very serious and a bit unwelcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and the outdoor pool was really all we wanted other than sleeping and being close to all the sights. There is a tram station outside and it was 5 minutes walk to Çankaya metro or the beautiful seaside kordon. Breakfast was basic and okay except for the eggs which tasted foul... pun unintended. Turkey has such wonderful free range village eggs which you would expect from a supposedly 4 star hotel but no, these chickens were barely alive when they laid these horrible eggs. Poor chooks. The desk staff on Sunday were wonderfully warm and friendly, so different to the Friday and Saturday crew. The house staff were generally very nice and the bed was so comfy. Wifi worked very well. The shower was good. There was a small fridge and TV and desk and good city outlook. It wasa decent sized room. All up a good stay, but the inedible eggs and the cold and unwelcoming greeting I will never forget unfortunately. Thank you to the Sunday desk staff who brightened our stay :)

We stayed Saturday to Monday,29th to 30th of August, and it was my 4th visit. We booked a club room and prior to booking I had asked the hotel by e mail what club facilities were available due to the COVID pandemic. Esra, from the hotel was quick in responding and courteous. We were advised that the club lounge was closed but all the food and beverages normally served in the lounge would be delivered in the “Vertice”brasserie. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and taken to our room on the 15th floor. Well equipped spacious room with floor to ceiling windows offering superb views of the sea and Izmir in the distance. The bathroom included a jacuzzi bath. The pool and spa area were open and although the pool area was busy staff found us sun loungers to relax on. We enjoyed a delightful Black Forest gateaux for afternoon tea. Unfortunately on the evening of Saturday, the 30th of August service in the brasserie was painfully slow.Despite there only being a handful of guests the barman/waiter seemed to spend more time preening himself in the mirror and using his personal phone.Time and time again we tried to get his attention but it would appear he would pretend not to see us or look past us. This meant we had to continually go up to the bar to get service.I should also stress that the restaurant was closed by this point and there were no more than 6 customers in the bar area. Breakfast was a little confusing at first as the staff member on arriving at the restaurant did not explain the system. However we eventually worked out that it was a hybrid of self service and staff putting on the plate our requests.Fantastic variety of food which was fresh and of good quality. The second evening in the bar was a massive improvement as the barman/waiter,Bedirihan, was professional, attentive and proactive. As soon as we arrived in the bar he was over offering drinks and giving us the club lounge menu.No need to seek him out. He was constantly checking to make sure we were ok. There was an issue regarding breakfast the second morning that I will raise with the manager separately as this could have seriously affected our stay. On checking out a member of staff took our luggage to the car and brought the car to the entrance. Overall an excellent experience, in the main great staff, stunning hotel, excellent food in a lovely location.

Hotel very well located, close to the IzBan railway station. The most beautiful views have rooms from the west - the bay, the worst from the south - for construction. Nice rooms with very comfortable beds. Check-in and check-out went quickly, although for three weeks I have not received the invoice, even though the service promised to send an e-mail immediately. Breakfast is very good, with a selection of local products such as cheese and olives.

First of all, the location is very good, just inside the Izmir airport, starting from the departure gate, turn left and go downstairs, passing the Burger King. The hotel is open 24 hours a day, and we arrived at approximately 9:00 pm, and the front desk checked in immediately after checking the order with a passport. The room is clean and tidy, and the toiletries are very full, but in Turkey there is usually no toothbrush, but it can be done with the waiter. The hotel is only one night due to being inside the airport. I want a windowless room, very quiet, no need to worry about poor ventilation, very comfortable Hotel breakfast is right next to the restaurant, room card verification, very convenient, more types of breakfast, but mostly Western breakfast, under normal circumstances can meet the Chinese stomach.

I had the worst experience with Doubletree by Hilton Izmir airport where I had my wedding day on December 27th, 2019. I had an agreement with them to have my wedding at their outdoor venue and to book rooms for all my guests within the hotel. The agreement included food to be served to all guests which includes beef, chicken, and vegetarian plates. The contract was discussed with Mrs Esma, the manager in the hotel so I can avoid any confusion. However, the food served to the guests from the beef set menu was all wrong and the food was soooooo late to be served. The service was very very unacceptable as I have asked 1000 times from Mrs Esma to make sure that who ever is serving the food need to ask the guests about what they want to drink and what to eat from the chosen three set menus, however all the chicken was all randomly served to all guests, then the wrong beef set menu started to get served resulting that some guests didn’t get chance to eat in my wedding. As a result, my guests had to leave my wedding and go to eat food at another restaurant which i find sooo disrespectful to my guests. Not only this, but also after the wedding was done my honeymoon room wasn’t neither cleaned, nor prepared for a romantic honeymoon night. I have raised my complaint to the manager of mrs esma and she sent a very lame email telling me that they didnt do anything wrong. The hotel ruined my wedding, got my wife crazy with their attitude, and ruined my honeymoon with their very careless disrespectful responses to my dissatisfaction. My complaint won’t stop here, and I will make a youtube video and issue a report and review to all customer who think about dealing with this hotel. I have asked to get my money back for the beef which wasn't served and the bad service. Now, I want all the money back, or I won’t shut till I get this bad experience out to all the audience everywhere. I live in Canada, my family lives in Qatar, my wife lives in Dubai, and I am from egypt. I will report this experience to every hilton hotel. Mrs Elfy is the worst hotel manager with her bad responses and she doesnt do her job as needed to achieve customers satisfaction. I have a right and I will get it all.

The Oglakcioglu is very centrally located. It is near transportation options, a short walk from the park and a major museum and a slightly longer walk to the bazaar and ruins of the agora etc. It's not the most dynamic of neighborhoods, but it feels safe, and there is a good restaurant across the street. I found my room clean and spacious with a nice bathroom. The wi-fi was excellent. Noise was minimal. The buffet breakfast that comes with the price of the room was extensive though it was mostly full of items like olives that aren't exactly center pieces of a robust meal! Parking was included and is in a garage below the hotel. An attendant came out and drove my car into a car elevator and brought it out for me the next day. Staff are friendly and helpful.
