|0.88km from city centerThis is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. There is no available breakfast as advertised. There is no restaurant as advertised; there is a printed menu in the bar but it was not serving. One of the reasons I was staying was for the breakfast as part of my IHG rewards perks. I was promised points for the lack of breakfast but was not given any. Looking at past reviews, breakfast has been gone for a long time despite the advertisement of it. Additionally, the parking garage instruction email gave the incorrect parking garage, which cost me money to exit to park in the correct one. The access to the correct parking garage was confusing. An address is not even given, just turning instructions, and access is via a bank lobby. There was no upgrade or perk given to Diamond members. In fact, this was so blatantly disregarded that I have no idea why anyone would spend big with loyalty at IHG. I was not allowed late check out, even by 30 minutes. I’ve never had such lack of accommodation when I told them I might run late. In fact, the evening staff told me “check out at 12 would be fine, but confirm with the morning staff” and the morning staff didn’t allow a minute past 11. The front desk had a single person working it which caused long lines at the desk. I was not offered any solution or refund for their errant instructions on the parking garage. The phone in the room did not work. Overall, what should’ve been a relaxing stay ended up with chaos. I should’ve read more reviews before booking. I still never got any of the points promised for the lack of breakfast but I am done dealing with this nightmare hotel.

|0.53km from city centerIf this hotel is representative of what Marriott is doing with Westin's, the Westin brand is deteriorating. Plastic cups in the rooms like a Best Western. Quattro restaurant is poor; asked for glasses for wine and one glass was very dirty. Quattro delivered our dinner to the wrong room; when we got the dinner it was not what we ordered. Thermostat in room was 'dead'; if not fixed management would make us move everything to a different room at 8:30 pm. Maintenance found that when the filters were changed the thermostat was not turned on! And the guest had to discover the thermostat was not working. Westin still has comfortable beds. Fortunately the valet and front desk people were good--although the staffing is very thin until 7am when the nightshift ends! Do not recommend and will avoid Westins in the future.

The rooms are large and well-appointed, and the breakfast eating area is spacious with many people using it in the evening to play board games or to simply sit and talk. The breakfast is nicely stocked with a variety of food ranging from waffles, sausage and eggs to oatmeal, yogurt, and cold cereal. The location cannot be beat as it is within walking distance of the zoo, science museum, and planetarium. If you’re an avid walker or runner, I cannot think of a better place to walk or run than the Forest Park trails. The hotel is centrally located, which means you can easily access the downtown area for the Gateway Arch, Old Courthouse, Cardinals baseball and Blues hockey. You can easily reach the heart of South and North St Louis within 10 minutes, and Lambert International Airport within 20 minutes. In addition to the restaurant’s breakfast offerings, they hotel also sells food and drink items near the front desk. There is a restaurant next door to the hotel; a Jimmy Johns (JJ) within a two minute walk of the hotel, and a Comet coffee shop within a two minute walk of the hotel. There is an IMO’s pizza within a five minute walk of the hotel, and I saw a new restaurant being built within a five minute walk of the hotel in the opposite direction of the IMO’s. I will return to St Louis in August, and I’ve already booked another reservation at this hotel for the August trip. In the past, I’ve stayed at quite a few St. Louis hotels, and some were downtown or near the airport. This hotel is my new “go to” hotel when I visit St. Louis.

We wanted something close to the baseball stadium (easy walk of about 4 blocks) and with easy access by car as we drove up from down south. Service was very good and the hotel lobby, bar area (another plus) and the rooms were very pleasing to my wife. They had live music Friday night playing adjacent to the bar and after the game we settled in the lounge area for a few hours just relaxing. Only negative was that the lower floors were a bit noisy with street noise and in the future I will request a much higher floor. We will definatly go back!

|20.82km from city centerRoom 410, It has a sofa and coffee table, is called a suite. I never could figure out the air conditioner/ furnace. it tan all the time no matter what I set the thermostat on. 63 degrees is what I like. Blower would switch between heat and air conditioning without ever stopping. I intended to mention it at the desk upon departure but the thought was not with me at the time. They have some fine ladies working the reception desk, Barbra and Kimmy. I had a problems understanding why this Holiday Inn would not allow me to use points for payment on this stay and also on one a few months previously. When making reservations on the web site it was listed as NO REWARDS NIGHTS AVAILABLE, with no reason noted. Barbra and Kimmy explained to me that there is a limited quota for rewards nights allowed at each hotel. When that quota is reached, no other customers may use points. That was news to me and I appreciate that they kindly explained the system. I or my wife stays here once or twice a year and we like the hotel, it's location to St. louis, and all the fine people working there.

In-room dining exists and here, it is fast , friendly, tasty and fun! The concierge, Tricia, is hugely helpful with options and opportunities ! And the rooftop pool makes the kids feel so welcomed! The waitstaff even found a way to bring two joyful 5 and 3 year olds watermelon—which was not on the menu! Combining the over-the-top views of the river, the railroad, and the Silver Rainbow (The Arch) with the personalized service the Four Seasons is famous for will always make it our number one choice!

|0.74km from city centerWe stayed here over the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel and grounds are phenomenal. I highly suggest paying the couple dollars extra for valet parking- saves TONS of walking and time! The valet staff were very professional and accommodating. Upon arrival, (it was very late at night) we arrived and pulled up to the hotel- valet immediately came out and offered to assist; I asked for general hotel parking and was kindly directed toward the area- upon arrival to that area (not really close to the entrance- general parking lot is like $35/day)- we chose to return to front door valet for $40.... Parking is overall expensive. But, we were assisted in unloading our car and immediately taken to our reserved room. Hotel is very impressive, the lobby is beautiful- and the property is rich with history (former actual station); the room was nice, very clean, and quiet- despite the multiple wedding events occurring over the weekend. There are many restaurant and food service/delivery options available. The staff was the BEST! The grounds included hourly light shows over pier/Koi fish pond; Landry Seafood onsite, along with- Ferris wheel (my kids loved), putt-putt golf, small slide/park area... It was really a great experience to stay here. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has multiple on-site entertainment options (along with an aquarium)- minutes SAFE walk to multiple major attractions. Bed was incredibly comfortable. We stayed long enough to need extra towels- I notified/requested the front desk for additional, and they were delivered to our room within 10 minutes. Upon arrival, we were unable to locate the TV remote- called the front desk and was immediately delivered a new remote for the TV. We did not have any major issues, but even our minor needs were met with utmost speed. I highly recommend this hotel for family and couples.

We had a wet bar with refrigerator, a couch and two queen beds, plus a beautiful, large bathroom. This was a standard room. Absolutely worth the bargain price! They gave us a 15th floor room with a rooftop view of surrounding buildings. Definitely request a high floor room, the lower floor rooms face directly into the windows of nearby buildings. The only bummer was the parking situation. The parking is not on site. It was worth it to us to pay for the valet service because it is not a great neighborhood, but if you try to save money in that department you will be schlepping your luggage across a busy street. The staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed this hotel. P.S. Don't expect to eat here; their menu is severely limited due to the pandemic.

This long after the pandemic, that's not okay. They promised us housekeeping after three nights of a five night stay, and it didn't come. This is just inept. This hotel charges you an extra $40 per night for ”incidentals”. (That's all the stuff that other Hampton Inns give you for free.) Then the parking is another $20 per night. How much would you pay to feel totally abused?

|5.93km from city centerI wanted to like this hotel, but the service i received made me hate it. i have a bad back and try to get bedboards (wood between the mattress and box spring) in the bed, and always call in advance to talk to the front desk about this. in this hotel, its almost impossible to reach the front desk to talk to them. I tried calling a few days before my arrival and pressed 0 for the operator. I held on for five minutes with no answer, and then was disconnected. This happened five times before i finally gave up. i finally called central reservations which is offsite (thank god someone answered there) and told them about my request. i called the morning of my arrival before boarding my plane and, miracle of miracles, someone answered at the front desk. the woman found the note, said she would take care of it and asked for my number and said she would call me back to confirm this was handled. NO CALL BACK. i then arrived in St. Louis and spent the entire uber ride into town trying to call the hotel. I called no less than 7 times, and each time, after pressing 0, sat on hold for over five minutes (each time) and then was disconnected. I had to go to a meeting before checking into the hotel so arrived at the hotel around 8 p.m. I asked the receptionist about the bed boards and after reviewing the notes, he said they didn't have bedboards and they hadn't been able to fulfill my request. I have a very bad back and have had multiple surgeries, so i was very worried that i wouldn't be able to move after sleeping on a soft bed. I asked this receptionist to have the manager call me, i wasn't happy that i couldn't reach the hotel by phone, and he told me the manager would call me the next day. OF COURSE, THE MANAGER NEVER CALLED. the receptionist did call my room about an hour later and said that he was wrong, they had put a bed board in the bed. i thanked him and repeated my request to have the manager call me. He assured me this would be done, he had the note. THE MANAGER NEVER CALLED then, to top it off, after i left (there was a line at the receptionist, and i was told just to leave my key in a box, they would check me out), i discovered that there was a charge on my bill for $60 that i had never authorized (i saw it on my credit card). I didn't buy anything, i didn't have any of their food, i incurred no charges at this hotel. I don't know what this is for, but i called and left a message on their billing extension to inquire about this charge. I wonder whether that person will ever call me back. while the room was large and was a mini suite with a separate sitting room outside the bedroom, i do not think i would ever recommend anyone stay there based on my experience.

There were a lot of events in the city and most rooms were sold out, but this one was in a good central location and I reserved two nights for $600. The hotel and rooms were ”OK”. Clean and comfortable. Not what I was expecting for the price, but I picked it mostly for the location and short driving times for the attractions we were wanting to do over the weekend, so that was fine. After waking up the first morning and taking a shower, I came out to one of my nephews telling me the front desk called to come downstairs because there was a breakin in the parking lot. I went down, and 8 cars had been broken into overnight. The parking lot had no cameras, and there were no leads on a suspect. After talking to the police, insurance, repair shop, etc. I visited the front desk, and though annoyed tried to be friendly. I asked how often this happens. ”Not often”. Is the hotel able to help us out in any way? That resulted in a sneer, and ”We might be able to provide you with a boxed breakfast if you insist”. (The box breakfasts cost guests $5, unless they are platinum-tier rewards members (which I am), and then they are free.) I thanked her, but let her know we had already had our breakfasts, and asked if the manager would be in that day. She let me know he only came in Monday-Friday 9-5, but the hotel policy was that they were not responsible for damages in the parking lot, so contacting him would not do any good. This is the part that still bothers me. I can understand the insurance reasons of not being responsible for actual damages suffered in a parking lot. But I would expect it to be good business to at least pretend to be sympathetic to your customers, and offer some kind of refund/comp and an ”I'm sorry this happened to you during your stay with us” response. If I had stayed at a $50/night hotel I would have understood, but at the price I paid I would expect some sort of basic security and customer service. I've stayed 13 nights in Holiday Inns since March, and have two more reserved for later this month at a different one I've had good experiences with, but I'm rethinking my future stays due to the callous disregard of this one.

There isn’t a covered secured lot for your car and I was approached by many people asking me for money while taking a walk around the building. Service is hit or miss. When I arrived, and attempted to open my car door, I was accosted by the valet who yelled at me and asked me what I was TRYING to do. I told him I was checking in to the hotel. And he was aggressively unpleasant, seemingly angry that I had arrived. Conversely, the valet attendant the next day was polite and wonderful. The front desk was nice but did not review any of the amenities nor offer any information about the hotel, which is a shame. Nice but inattentive and uninterested. The service at both Idol Wolf and Good Press were 5/5. The food at both were 5/5. The hotel itself is gorgeous. There’s art set in an old gym. The renovation is well done. Enjoyed it very much. The view from the room was also very nice. The room itself was standard with a few attention to detail things needing addressed. Such as broken handles and non working bathroom fixtures. Overall would recommend this hotel because it is unique. Big plus - they allow pets!!! Yes!

Actually the staff handled it well and was excellent throughout my stay. The downside is the rooms-while plenty big -need to be updated. Old carpet, wallpaper and tile and grout/molding issues in the older model bathroom. The rooms are clean tho and plenty of towels are provided. Needs more outlets around the desk but there is a usb hub by the bed-no clock tho. There was a sofa bed available. Was on the ground floor and even with blackout curtains cars pulling into parking spots and lot lights shone in room. The bed was fine. The HVAC /controls on both the wall and floor unit wouldn’t keep a constant temp. The fan on switch did not work either. Breakfast staff was excellent but slim pickings. Two Diamond parking spots but no room upgrades. Would stay here again but only because the staff was great. Close to the university but food is a couple miles drive away. Coffee and tea throughout the day in lobby but only caffeine free teabags were available.

From the check-in to the valet parking option to our deluxe king room on the 9th floor, our overall experience at this hotel has been truly above and beyond. Our room was immaculate, spacious, beautifully designed and very clean. The beds and linens are of top notch quality and no expense has been spared in ensuring the comfort of the guest. Furthermore the hotel staff were all very friendly, professional, and accommodating if we had any questions or needed help with anything. They made us feel welcome and cared for. The final selling point of this hotel is that there is a gorgeous rooftop pool and bar. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely sunny 71° afternoon up on this private rooftop area that is only open to hotel guests. If you are truly on the fence about staying here or the splurge, I cannot recommend this place enough. It will not disappoint! We plan to make this our designated hotel for all future stays. Thank you at The Last Hotel!

|0.71km from city centerUnfortunately, due to a horrific experience at this hotel on Friday, March 10, but worse yet, how they handled it, more like, didn't handle it at all, it overshadowed any positive feedback I would have liked to have provided for this hotel. My husband and I have received zero communications/acknowledgment/not an ounce of compassion from ANYONE associated with this hotel, which all stems from an absolutely terrible experience - being stuck in this hotel's small elevator for over 80 minutes, late at night with anxiety ridden people and some VERY unfortunate circumstances including bladders filling up! We were told from someone over the speaker that we would be out in 10 minutes when their elevator company arrives, which turned into 30 minutes with no one showing up nor any updates. Not because of the hotel staff, but because of my friends/family insisting, 911 was finally called and the fire department was dispatched. Saturday morning we asked to speak with management and were told that management wasn't there on the weekends. We checked out on Sunday, and asked that a manager call us on Monday. Nothing. 7 days later, and there has been ZERO communication from this property's management. We didn’t even receive an apology nor receive any acknowledgement about our experience from the desk clerks that weekend. Nothing. Unbelievable and inexcusable. I'm disgusted, disappointed, now angry and disturbed by the silence, disregard and lack of compassion from this establishment.
