0.84km from Bar BakanaStayed at the Dayrell for a week my first impression was that I went back in time to early 80's as room was a peach color and very old curtains. Besides the old appearance room was clean and spacious and staff extremely friendly. The view on the rooftop area was also great and I was able to order food and drinks from the restaurant there. Overall a positive experience.

Hotels Near Bar Bakana In Belo Horizonte Review
The staff at this hotel was amazing. They were incredibly friendly, professional and offered to help in any way they could. Even if they did not speak English (we were in their country, after all), they did their best to answer our questions, and always with a friendly smile. The hotel was in a great location in the city, near many attractions and services. Hands down a great experience.
I am always satisfied during my stay here! The hotel and restaurant staff are so friendly and professional! Patricia, Vivian and Mylena are wonderful! And Carlos has such a great smile and always makes everyone feel so welcome! The rooms and beds are so comfortable, they have a great fitness center and pool, the Santa Fe restaurant consistently has very good food and excellent service! The young lady who makes the omelets in the morning also has a wonderful smile and makes the best omelets ever! I love staying at this hotel!! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Belo Horizonte!
This was my first time in this Ibis hotel in Belo Horizonte. My room had the typical layout of the Ibis brand, including the hideous curtain - when will the upper management of the Ibis chain understand, that this curtain is a nuisance to its guests? Check-in was easy and efficient. The location of the hotel is okay with some restaurants and bars in walking distance. But do not walk in the night in spite the neighborhood is pleasant. There is a parking garage adjacent to the hotel, which has an agreement with the hotel, but you have to pay directly when you enter with your car. Breakfast was good. Overall I had a very good stay.
Very comfortable. Clean and well kept. Service was good, staff very friendly and helpful. Centrally located. The food at their restaurant was excellent. The breakfasts were also excellent, with a wide variety. The only issue I had was that there were no locks available for the room safe. Had a very good stay.
Great place to stay, nice location, very clean and nice breakfast. . Very friendly and helpful staff, Mr Wesley Silva was vey nice , spoke English well . Room was spacious and very clean, pillow was a little to high and firm so I suggest bring your own, I now I will the next time. Pool was very small and cold so we didn't get to enjoy it at all. Overall I recommend this hotel !
Walking into the hotel and transacting with Emmanul and Sobrina was a very welcoming start to my stay. They were caring, knowledgeable, bilingual and friendly, everything you want from someone taking care of your retreat. The rooms are very clean and pictures on the web are fairly accurate including the features pointed out in the web site. The location is great, short walks to Lourdes,Savassi,Municipal parking, and the city center. There’s subterranean parking if you have a vehicle for a charge
We spent 4 nights at this hotel & had a good experience. You can pay 22R$ for breakfast, but we didn’t eat in the hotel. The room had everything we needed & WiFi was generally good. Though a fridge & some shampoo would have made it even better. There is a cheap supermarket very close to the hotel. Staff were helpful despite our limited Portuguese language skills & the location is good. I’d definitely stay here again.
This is a good apart hotel in a good district of Belo Horizinte. You are within one hundred feet of restaurants, bars and shopping. The included breakfast buffet was very good and comprehensive and the pool is nice and refreshing.
Excellent hotel, book for 2 nights but I ended up going the day before. It is very well located and there is a carrefour 1 block away.
Overall it feels so-so. The breakfast is quite satisfactory and standard western food. But I didn't even have bacon. I stayed for two nights and the hotel provided adapters. Breakfast was from 6 to 10, and I didn't eat breakfast when I caught a plane early the next morning.
Very recommended to stay, cost-effective, the environment is very good. Beautiful environment, good geographical location, convenient transportation, comfortable and sanitary rooms, service staff are very enthusiastic, facilities are very humane, high-speed network signal is good, the view outside the window is good. The design of the room's small pendulum is also very distinctive. Next time, check in.
Ibis Savassi is an executive choice for anyone who is traveling to Belo Horizonte. They are located in the center or the city, very close to a variety of restaurants and the Patio shopping center. If you are going to be moving around the Minas Gerais area, the bus station (rodoviaria) is a couple of minutes away. There are also a couple of good museums at walking dinstance. The breakfast buffet is very good and affordable. Last but not least, the staff are very friendly and always willing to help. I speak some Portuguese, but if you don't, they speak English. Overall, it's great!
The hotel is excellent! The staff is very efficient. The room was cozy and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located at the heart of the city. It is just a few blocks from Diamond Mall, Mercado Central, Minascentro, and the bus station, and also near the mainly avenues. I had a great time at Royal Center Hotel. I really enjoyed my stay.
This was my first visit to Belo Horizonte. I looked to my local colleagues for a hotel recommendation so I would not book a hotel too far away from the customer we were visiting. This is the hotel I was advised to reserve. Check in was ok, however WiFi password is guest name. Associate at front desk misspelled my name so I could not log-in. I wondered if mis-spelling was the cause so I returned to front desk and asked another associate to check. He read to me the way if was spelled and we found the cause. When I went to the assigned room I could not get any lights to come on. I have spent many nights in hotels all over the world. I am very familiar with the requirement in many hotel rooms (outside U.S.) to insert the room key into a slot to enable lights. The key slot here looks more like a thermostat than a light controlling key slot and it is not labeled in any way, so I missed it. I returned to the front desk and told them the lights would not come on. He switched me to another room. Same problem there. This time I started closely looking at that "thermostat looking" thing on the wall, looking for a place I might put a key card. I found a way and the lights came on. Apparently I am the only person who has ever had this problem so the front desk did not know to tell about the key slot. Also in the first room, I had decided to just put my electronics into the safe and go to dinner and figure out the lights later. The safe would not lock. Safe in the second room locked. In the room there was an iron and ironing board. Apparently a guest prior to me left the iron sitting on the ironing board while it was on and it melted the cover and left the melted cover on the iron, making the iron useless. Front desk person did replace the iron for me. In the room... the room was acceptably clean and the bed was moderately comfortable. Linens? The room had a couple bath towels and a couple hand towels, as well as a bath mat. Nowhere in the room was there a facecloth, or wash cloth (whatever you call it) a smaller towel type cloth many folks use for washing face or for showering. So when I want to wash my face before going to bed I use a hand towel like it is a face cloth. Most hotel rooms have some way to make a cup of coffee in the room. This hotel did not. No hot water pot, no small drip coffee maker, nothing. Breakfast in the restaurant was acceptable. The selection was good however perhaps they could find a way to keep the eggs warmer. In conclusion, I had a safe stay at this hotel however they did not gain a fan and I will not be booking this hotel again. I also will not recommend this hotel to you.
The facilities are well designed and decorated extremely nice – like being at home! Beautiful old home in the Santa Tereza (music, food, cultural mecca, parks, and famous Bolao restaurant) neighborhood of Belo Horizonte. Very professionally done; outstanding quality and service. The owner and many guests (resident Brit is there, met a wonderful couple from Poland) speak wonderful English and the staff are a delight. Accommodations are outstanding. Everything is planned and executed extremely well! High regards and recommendations! BTW, the courtyard has a "quintal" area where a "pergoaldo" type structure exists from an "ora pro nobis" type plant-tree! Neat!
I stayed at the hotel for three days and had a really nice stay. I stayed in Room 1017 on the back side of the hotel (away from the Main Street) and found it be clean, comfortable and inviting. I had a King bed that was comfortable but the room isn’t huge, which was fine for me, since I only slept here after three busy days. We had a rainstorm one night and lost power for 15 seconds but the hotel has a generator, so we stayed comfortable. The hotel serves a simple but nice breakfast and has a good restaurant. The hotel has a decent exercise room that was very clean and modestly appointed, where I was able to get my cardio done during my stay. I want to give a shout out to Charles at the front desk who remembered me during my stay and was a fluent English speaker. We shared a common experience since I live in North NJ and he lived in the Lehigh Valley, PA. He was very engaging but all of the staff was very friendly. I plan on staying at the hotel the next time I am visiting Belo Horizonte, MG.
Great hotel, clean rooms and efficient check in and check out. Breakfast was excellent as were the evening meals Rooftop pool was too small for real swimming (8-10m length max) All in all a good quality budget hotel with working internet. However the standout thing were the staff. Super helpful (despite my lack of Portuguese language skills). The breakfast staff very accommodating even when I turned up early one morning 30 mins before official breakfast time to catch a flight and I still got fed - Thankyou 😊 Finally whoever selects the music in the public areas - top job. I’ve not stayed in many hotels where I can breakfast to the more relaxing pink floyd classics - nice!
The Fasano is a very much welcomed luxury addition to the Belo Horizonte scene. Located walking distance from many dining and entertaining options, it offers large and very comfortable rooms and excellent sleep quality. The hotel amenities however are very limited. Pool is really small (more like an enlarged bathtub) and although it is open until about 9pm, it is not properly lit, so it gets really dark once the sun goes down. Breakfast in the lobby area is a place to see and be seen, and you will be seen even if you don't want to, because you are exactly in the hotel lobby where people come and go all the time. The hotel decor is discreet and elegant as it is a standard in all Fasano hotels. I personally had a much better experience in this hotel than in its sister flagship property in Sao Paulo.
We had a great stay at this hostel. The room (double room) was more like a hotel room, it even had a reasonably priced mini bar! The room and bathroom were very clean as was the rest of the hostel. Breakfast was good and kitchen facilities excellent. Mostly though, the staff made our stay. All three staff that we met went out of their way to be welcoming, kind and extra helpful. Wellington in particular was a legend! Lastly, great location in a beautiful part of BH. Really safe and just a nice neighbourhood. Would highly recommend.
The hotel service is very good, the equipment is very new, and it feels safer than the other hotels in this time. The room is large, comfortable, and the location is good. It's not too far away if you drive.
The room is a little small, and the rest are not bad. There was a big suitcase in the middle of the two beds, which was inconvenient to clean. The big sister of cleaning also deliberately left us a note to explain this.
Breakfast is good, and you can order egg rolls. The room is acceptable, but with much lighting pollution. The alarm clock, TV set, and refrigerator sounded abnormally. I had to pull out the wires or I could not sleep at all.
breakfast with good options
Generally not very good, the room is good and big, breakfast is also ok, there is nothing fun around the small city
I have stayed in this hotel for an extended period of more than 20 days for work. Here is my honest balance of its pros and cons: + Positive + Great location, so close to good bars, restaurants, bookshops and museums in the Savassi and Liberdade areas. Easy for public transport and Uber always on hand. On Sunday mornings streets nearby are closed for jogging and cycling. Breakfast is generally good and well served with plenty of pao de queijo. Staff is happy to prepare omelet and fried eggs. Restaurant and cleaning staff are very friendly. Room was spacious and clean with a decent desk. I stayed in one of the top floors and noise was not really an issue. It can really be if you stay in the sister Boulevard Express around the back facing a street full of bars. Small but handy fitness room with a couple of treadmills - Negative - Hidden charge. This is a big minus. When I checked in I was told that I had to pay all my stay in advance. It came with an extra 10% that is not clearly indicated in the online booking. When I asked what was that for, I was told 'service tax'. My question, what kind? Government tax? 'No from the hotel'. What for? Then they were unsure what to say and said it was for coffee and cleaning. As I stayed for a long time it was a substantial increase in my budget. Really not happy with that. Staff at reception could be friendlier. They often tended to be frowning and too busy to greet guests. The breakfast is generally good but fruit juices were not natural and tasted chemicals. Poor wifi signal. I told them in advance that I would like to be in a room with a good wifi signal. It often failed. Rooftop pool could be much better presented Laundry and ironing prices are inflated. I was given the advice to instead go to Laundromat near the Central Market. What I paid for a full bag to be washed and dried was what the hotel charges for one shirt.
At least ice water next to the room should be available for guests. Drinks and ice water can be brought to the room, but with the heat of the environment, both the drinks and the ice water itself, will assimilate to room temperature
I have stayed here many times in past years. The rooms are small, clean and well arranged. I found the towels clean but thin and looking old. They need to put a trash basket near the desk. There is only one in the bathroom. The hot water and wifi are very good. The elevators are fast and quiet. I stayed on the tenth floor. The location is excellent. The magnetic key for the room didn’t work, so I had to go down again to the reception with my bags, but the staff magnetized it quickly. The breakfast is average, good enough variety but not very good quality!
