Hotels Near Bar Bants In Paranagua Review

No bad review on this hotel. We arrived very late and staff was very very friendly. Rooms are small but sufficient for one nights stay. A cup of coffee would have been perfect but you need to order breakfast to have coffee. We had our own coffee so they did provide us with hot water!! Great stay!

Our stay was booked by my untie (who is Brazilian) as a family treat. She wasn’t able to join us in the end because of health reasons, and the pousada was really understanding about postponing her visit. My fiancé and I went by ourselves, and the staff was super friendly receiving us. They explained everything, how the it all works, how they recycled rain water for the showers and heated up with solar power, which was all very interesting to know in my opinion as I am interested in sustainable tourism. The decor is really nice, with a great little outdoor semi private balcony for each bedroom. As an architect I just have a little tip for foreigners: timber constructions are not very sound proofed, but that’s pretty much anywhere you go in the Brazilian seaside. They give out free map of the island and also gave us tips of where to go, explore and eat. The staff was all very friendly, from the cook to the owner, always greeting us and checking how our trip was going. Overall, we though it was an amazing family owned place to stay, that have a great focus on sustainability. Highly recommend, worth every penny.

I booked this at the last minute for a one night stay in Encantada. The cabins are well maintained, the breakfast was delicious and Louisa as well as the 2 owners go out of their way to answer all your questions and ensure you will have a fabulous stay on Ilha do Mel

Very clean!!! All star staff!!! Nice hardwood/tile floors. Very good continental breakfast and also the room service was tasty and quick! Security elevator was a plus. Climate control in each sleeping space made it pleasant for everyone. Valet parking made it very easy and extremely convenient. Florianópolis is full of one way streets you may want a vehicle with GPS.

Room was clean though the TV size was too small. Wi-fi did not work properly and there wasn’t room service which is unacceptable for an international standard hotel. I tried to order lunch at 11:20 AM because I was in a hurry to the airport and they could not make it. No amenities like gym or swimming pool. Staff is realky nice though especially the waiters Willian and Bruno. Breakfast is also good.

Improve reception trainning. They create some history that I brough someone to sleep with me without any prove. What embarasing episode that i need to explain that was not true and they didn`t believe me. To get worse, the room service opened my room door without any permision when I was taking a shower and saw me naked. Nice surprise!! Never come back

It is a hotel near of the Public Market, where you can find excellent food, primarily sea food, very low cost. Parking is available at an extra cost, but no to expensive. Also there is a shopping center near by with several stores and a good food court.

In a pinch, this one works. The location is right downtown, but there's literally no view. I opened the window and I was in someone's kitchen. The room was modern enough with the exception of the bed which had springs but was still comfortable. I didn't even know those kinds of beds still existed. There are plenty of outlets for electronics, I think I counted 13. There's a desk for your computer and another for snacks and things along with a mini-fridge. Plenty of closet space. I found the sink inside the room itself instead of the bathroom to be a bit weird but the shower itself was nice with plenty of space and good pressure. I just felt like there was a lot of wasted space in the room. The breakfast is pretty standard for Brazil along with the restaurant. No complaints about either. If it weren't for the super friendly staff I would have given this a 3 star rating instead of 4. As stated, in a pinch this hotel works. We just happened to catch the perfect storm for booking a hotel that weekend while the city was packed and there weren't really any other viable options in that price range. If you are looking for a nice relaxing view along the beautiful coastlines all around Florianopolis, look elsewhere. If you aren't planning on spending much time in your room and need to be downtown, this hotel works.

The location is great. Walking distance to "CentroSul" convention center and Breakfast is simple and tasty. But the bad experience starts inside the room. It's sort of clean (if you don't overlook), there are a lot of things that seem broken and things that are really broken. It took me 3-4 minutes of running water to get some heated water. The support for soap and shampoo was broken as well as the drain. There was no toilet paper support. Although they offer rooms with 2 to 4 people, there is no door lock in the bathroom. The hotel also offers just one key card per room and that's regrettable. It has potential, but needs an restoration and several improvements.

We also stayed at Costa Norte Ingleses on Praia dos Ingleses and were very pleased with this top-rated Florianopolis bed and breakfast hotel. The grounds are beautiful, especially at night, with a deck and good restaurant right on the beach (unique in Ingleses). The rooms are very comfortable with nice ocean views available. Waves from the ocean are wonderful to listen to. Facilities include an outdoor pool, heated indoor pool, wet and dry saunas, gym, A/C, refrigerator, and a very nice breakfast can be enjoyed overlooking the beach. A nice supermarket is right across the street. Beach and seafood lovers will enjoy a stay on Brazil’s beautiful island of Florianopolis (Ilha de Santa Catarina). Florianopolis and its beautiful white sand beaches and towns are safe to visit and walk around. It is also known as a mecca for surfers with great waves. This region of Brazil enjoys some of Brazil’s highest standards of living and was settled by emigrates from Europe (i.e. Germany, Italy) appearing more European than Latin. So we could enjoy some very nice hotels during our visit, we decided to stay in the north of Florianopolis and rent a car to visit some of Florianopolis’ other beautiful beaches. Driving around this island was very doable using Google Maps. We split our visit between Praia de Jurere and Praia dos Ingleses enjoying these nice beaches while visiting other beautiful beaches by car. Our stay at Pousada dos Sonhos (see review below for reasons why) made our stay on Praia de Jurere memorable. The town of Jurere is an upscale place to stay in Florianopolis with nice long beach and restaurants (some of the top rated in Florianopolis). The beach offers calm ocean to swim in. Staying at Costa Norte Ingleses provided a very enjoyable experience at Praia dos Ingleses (again, see our review below to see why). Praia dos Ingleses is one of Florianopolis’ finest beaches offering a wide sandy beach with gentle ocean waves to swim in. Praia dos Ingleses has become rather developed with hotels and high-price restaurants. Most of the beaches on Florianopolis have restaurants and other facilities. Florianopolis’ northern beaches are more developed with calmer waves and during the high season they are more crowded party scenes (but nice). Southern beaches are less developed offering more tranquil beach experiences. If you want to visit a beautiful completely undeveloped beach, stop at the nature preserve of Mocambique – quite lovely! Beautiful Praia Mole is a must stop – one of our favorite beaches we visited in Florianopolis. Several laid-back beach restaurants are located overlooking the stunningly beautiful beach. We liked Barraco da Mole mid way on the beach with its good view of the beach, nice music, good food and drinks, and friendly staff. Several paid parking lots are available servicing Praia Mole. Praia Mole has good surfing and during peak times (Summer – December to February), Praia Mole is a party scene with beautiful tanne

Where do I begin? First, a disclaimer: we didn't stay long, so we missed breakfast. Otherwise, the only toiletry included was bar soap. More importantly, the bathroom looked so dirty, like there was mold in it (though it didn't smell bad enough to be mold). The sliding glass door to the odd shaped balcony didn't lock on one side. The balconies were just a few inches from one another so I didn't feel particularly safe. No internet from the room and the lobby was rather small (supposedly there was wifi in it but I cannot verify it). The hallways were very loud and it would help greatly if they put a rug in them to cut down on the noise. We were also next to the elevator, so that didn't help. It's cheap and close to the bus terminal (8R$ taxi ride) but I don't recommend it.

The hotel has a very good location and has a small swimming pool on the terrace, the breakfast is also very good, *The huge problem is Wi-Fi, it’s horrible here, I couldn’t work because of it. it is also very bad on the reception, it’s even hardly to send a message. *Very strict rules about check in (15:00)and out(11:00). I tried to warn about my arrival in advance, they replied that they would do everything possible, but this did not change anything. Maybe I’m not right but many hotels do their best to help early arriving visitors. * the clean of the room is good, but on the first morning the cleaning came to me at 9:30 , I asked her wait a little bit because I’ve just waked up. The next day I tried to wake up and go to the beach earlier to let the lady clean my room. I’ve returned at 14:00 and....the room was dirty. I’ve just closed the door and the cleaning came...of course I was tired and wanted to have a rest. So the room wasn’t cleaned.

We stayed at this hotel recently. The only good thing about it is the location. Curtains in rooms are plastic. We asked for 2 room apartment paid for it and first night they set up up in one bedroom with pullout in kitchen area. We complained so next two nights got what we paid for. Breakfast was mediocre. Parking free. Was hard to get to as it’s on a one wAy street. From travel agency I was charged over $2000 reals but they said it was only a little over $1000 reals. Just found Brazil to be so dishonest. Had to ask very specific questions or they would take you for a ride!

The hotel is situated right next to the beach. We rented a room with an awesome view of the sea. The pool and beach area are also really nice. This is what are the positives and this hotel could be great but it really fails on the fundamentals. The rooms and common areas are not very clean. There were spiderwebs right next to the elevators. The breakfast buffet was bad compared to other hotels in the same price range and the equipment to heat bread not cleaned in ages.

We traveled by car from Curitiba to Florianopolis, a 300 km drive. Part of which is through a mountainous region with a mix of pine and palm trees. Well worth the four hours. So, we arrived at Proto Sol Beach late in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful at check in to the seaside room we had booked. The room was simple but very clean. We woke early in the morning. Standing on the balcony was magical. There were a few people already walking the beach. A three-masted tour bark was anchored off shore, which set a wonderful scene for our first day. The Brazilian style breakfast buffet was well done. I say that, because when we arrived a number of the serving plates were empty. However, by the time we started selecting food items, the entire buffet was completely replenished. We only ate dinner at the hotel one night. The other nights we ate out as we traveled the island. One of the restaurants was recommended by the hotel staff. The hotel dinning room served wholesome Brazilian fare. We enjoyed the meal and the friendly service. This is a casual hotel. Overall, it is a good value. I really like the mix of clientele. Young, middle age, and older couples; families with children of all ages; Business travelers as well. To me, Porto Sol Beach was quite and peaceful even with the mix of people. Florianopolis is a seaside city, that also serves as the state capital and a hub for commerce. So, the city gets lively and road traffic can be a challenge. The hotel is 20 km outside, which makes for a nice retreat.
