This small hotel occupies the 5th and 6th floor of an apartment block just one minutes walk from the station. It’s on the left hand side of the Via Guido Monaco as you leave the station. Avis is on the corner and it’s a few doors up, before the supermarket. This detail is given as we walked past it as there is no big hotel sign. We rang the bell and Elena welcomed us in. At reception she told and showed us the facilities, the small dining room , where you choose you buffet breakfast and the terrace where you could eat it. Great view. There is a fridge, so you can buy food and drink and keep it fresh. Our air conditioned room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. There are no frills but this is a great venue for a few nights stay to explore this really ancient and quite lovely Italian city. Elena was a perfect host and recommended things to do and a great local restaurant to eat at. Many thanks.

I have to say I was very disappointed with my 4 night stay at this hotel while I was working nearby. On arrival I asked if there was anywhere I could park and was told by the receptionist that "the hotel has a private garage for 10 euros a day". After I checked in he told me that the porter would show me the way to the garage. The porter took me outside and pointed to some traffic lights in the distance, across the huge roundabout outside the hotel. I followed his instructions and ended up in the city's municipal underground car park, which is a fair distance from the hotel and not very large. I had to wait around for quite a while until someone left and left a space for me to park my car. Not ideal when you have finished a days work to hope for a car parking space when you get there and then have to walk some way to the hotel. Once in the hotel the room was very small, decorated like something from a distant past and not very clean. The shower was just about adequate, with hardly the room to swing a cat and the bed was small and uncomfortable. The general ambience in the place was quite depressing and the hotel in general is in need of a serious upgrade to bring it into the modern world. There is nowhere to eat in the restaurant and the breakfast was as disappointing as the rest of the hotel. No hot food, just the usual continental style buffet but not one that appealed to me. I ate breakfast elsewhere every morning. The breakfast room was huge and I cannot understand why they do not use it as a proper restaurant and give guests the opportunity to eat in after a days work, without the need to walk around the city looking for somewhere to eat. I am always disappointed when I have to leave a bad review but unfortunately I feel that this hotel leaves me no choice after a very disappointing experience of staying there. Never again, unless they do something about the decor, comfort and cleanliness in order to offer their guests a much needed, improved experience.

This hotel is a great option for those visiting Arezzo. The hotel is right in the middle of the action, however it is on the 4th floor so there was no noise at night which made for some great sleeping. Getting there is super easy as well. It is literally 5 minutes (by foot) from the train station or upon entering by car. There is an elevator if one doesn't want to exercise, but we choose the stairs. The staff are ALL fantastic and extremely helpful with things to do, places to see and restaurants to eat at. Beatrice, Enrico and Jessica are awesome. They were extremely helpful, kind, courteous and professional (and fun). Also, the breakfast is fantastic and Jessica makes a mean cappuccino (or 3 like we had ever morning)!! Would stay here again anytime and I highly recommend this hotel in the absolutely stunning and GORGEOUS city of Arezzo!!

I have stayed at the Antiche Mura on several occasions and always wish to return! Lucky enough to have some business trips often in Arezzo so always try to stay here. Barbera the owner is always so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The location is great in central Arezzo. Walking distance to everywhere, and it’s possible to park outside. Each room is themed- my particular favourite is the Marilyn Monroe room 😍 But have also stayed in ‘holly’ an Audrey Hepburn styled room, amongst others which are equally beautiful. The hotel and room design is stylish and clean, and super cute! There is coffee in reception and breakfast is a few doors away in a local cafe which serves fresh juices and pastries. I would recommend a stay here, it’s beautiful and has a home like feel. Perfect for couples / friends or a business trip Can’t wait to come back! 😍

We stayed three nights. This is a old farm with thick stone walls, modernised and refurbished in a rustic style. We had a suite in the old stables, spacious comfortable and clean (although a little short of storage - basically one large wardrobe with a single drawer. It was particularly hot while we were there and the A/C struggled a bit to keep up, despite Tulio's efforts. The central part of the system is new and they were still working on it. Warm welcome from Tulio, Isabella, and Kirsten presided over breakfast with charm and efficiency. She was delightful, spoke good English, and most helpful with her advice. Lovely breakfast - buffet with excellent choice of their own produce or other local products. Happy to cook eggs for you. Splendidly rural surroundings on the edge of the village. You will need to follow their satnav directions to find it. We found the location perfect for visiting the surrounding area, and Arezzo itself was a short drive away.

Though the hotel is far from the city, our stay in this hotel was very comfortable & entertaining. I can remember at one night there was a party amongst our group wherein beautiful Italian girls were brought in to perform in front of us. It was a very good party and I was thoroughly enjoyed throughout the night. The room is spacious comfortable and clean. The toilet is neat and clean. You may see that some of the lifts may not work for going upstairs / downstairs. Overall experience in this hotel is very good.

Simone made us feel like we were coming home when we straggled in at 10pm after a long day of traveling. He poured us a glass of wine while he got us registered, and then poured us another while he gave us information about the hotel and the area. The rooms are large and very clean, though the showers are small. Each room has a kitchen and we were well stocked with coffee, milk, juices, water, and pastries. I really enjoyed embracing the Italian tradition of a relaxed morning cappucino. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and the downtown area, so we walked everywhere easily, and also enjoyed the restaurant right downstairs. Simone arranged a driver and winery tour for us, and was so helpful with information and any special requests we had. The rest of the hotel staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. We didn't mind the noise of the trains, but some people might. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My husband and I, and our young baby, traveled with friends for a weekend stay in Arezzo. We were greeted warmly by Silvano and taken down to the chalet, which has a kitchenette, A/C, tv, fridge, etc. They provided a brand new crib for our baby, which she slept great in! The bed was very comfortable, and it was great to have the room and kitchen for our friends to come down and hang out and drink wine with us. Silvano checked-in with us daily to make sure our stay was comfortable. When we checked out, we were given a bottle of Chianti! We hope to travel back soon so we can experience more of the area, and would definitely stay here again!

My family and I spent almost a full week at this beautiful hotel in July. It is a small family hotel. The people who worked there made us feel welcome and the service was amazing, nothing was a problem. I was going out to take pictures in Tuscany and asked if the restaurant could prepare a meal for me fast, so I would not miss the best light. This was no problem. The rooms where spacious, had a refrigerator, and a safe, and air-condition. The breakfast where outside in the beautiful garden, and was typical Italian, but also had some things for us Norwegians like bred and not only cake. If it rains, I guess the breakfast is inside the restaurant. Therefore, it will never be a problem. In the garden area, there was also a beautiful pool, with sunbeds, where we could relax. The restaurant was a real gem, we had dinner there several times the weather was nice so they had tables outside. The best meal we had was my father’s birthday dinner. It was the Bistecca Alla Fiorentina, which is a large T-bone steak. It was really really good. They also gave my father a birthday cake on the house. I also tried other dishes and they were all good. Parking for the rental car was free and they had roof over the parking spaces so the car would not get so overheated inside in the Tuscan heat. The hotel is a little outside Arezzo, but it’s not far away with a rental car, or taxi. A tip for finding the hotel is putting in Equestrian Centre that was easier for the gps to find, if you find that there are sign leading you to the hotel. I also want to thank the Receptionist Stefania, she was really service minded, always had a smile and where welcoming. If I ever return to this area, I will stay at this hotel again. It was good value for the money to.

The location on corso Italia is not the same as listed in the pictures.. reading other review I was skeptical but this location turned out to be better than expected.. There is an elevator, which apparently is new and made the second floor hospitable.. This was a great set up for our family (3 kids and my wife), large enough where everyone had space to breath. Location is central arezzo and perfect imo. There is not a cafeteria at this locale but they do have cleaning service. Our stay included breakfast, which you get at Vasari cafe in piazza grande. The breakfast is typical Italian and exactly what I expected. I would recommend this for families on a budget.
