I recently stayed at One Shot 22 to celebrate my Birthday and my Daughter's Graduation. I rented two premium rooms. The photos of the rooms depicted a wrap around balcony. Upon arrival the A/C did not work. When I attempted to call the front desk no one picked up the phone. After a few failed attempts on trying to reach someone by phone I proceeded to go down to the lobby. The explained to the receptionist that the AC was not working and I attempted to call but no one had answered the phone. The receptionist stated that she heard the phone but was helping someone else so she could not pick up the phone. I was ok with that response. She then advised me that she was would turn on the AC from a master control station at the desk. I expressed my concern that I would not be able to adjust the AC directly from the room. The receptionist then stated to call the front desk if I want the AC adjusted. I believe this was unacceptable. I was exhausted from travelling that day and went to bed hoping I would not have an issue with the AC. The next day I went down to the front desk to express my dissatisfaction with the two premium rooms not having the wrap around balcony depicted in the room pictures. The receptionist argued that there were no such pictures in the room description. I should her copies of my reservations and asked her to go on their website to verify the pictures. Upon the receptionist viewing the images she apologized and stated there was only one room in the hotel with a wrap around balcony. The only reason I booked two premium rooms in this hotel was to be able to sit out on the balcony and relax after a long a day. I asked to speak to a manger. The receptionist stated there was no manger on site but provided with a phone number to the manager. I called and left a message. I went out for the day upon arrive the AC was not working again for the second time. I had to go back down to the lobby for the receptionist to activate the AC. Again, I requested to speak to manager. The receptionist reached out to the manager and left the manager a message to contact me. When the manager contacted me I expressed to her that the ONLY reason I booked the hotel was for the balcony overlooking a small park. Again I was advised they only had one premium room with a wrap around balcony. I alerted the manager that One Shot was misrepresenting the premium rooms by displaying photos of a wrap around balcony. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and stated that she would advise the marketing department of the images displayed. I asked for a discount because I felt I was paying a premium price but not receiving what One Shot portrayed in their Premium room images. I must be honest, the bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. The bathroom was showing it's age with the wallpaper peeling. My wife had a difficult time putting on her make up with the poor lighting over the vanity. Value for money and good quality! Ibis was everything we have come to expect from this hotel chain over the years. The staff were super friendly and very helpful during our stay. We loved the breakfast and ate loads every morning. Our room was small and minimally equipped - but that was what we were expecting. It was cleaned daily and we had extra towels and pillows on hand if we needed them. For a relatively budget friendly hotel, this chain is the best!

Great location hostel, near train station and walking distance to other hot spots. Very clean and neat. I got a girls dorm had little no one in it which was great! also had a view! Problems: you can’t bring in outside food? I’m clearly on a budget. i would like to bring snacks and things to my room. No alcohol allowed.... ok. Walls are paper thin. And the cleaning crew throws the door open every morning with out a knock to check if decent. Was a problem for me as my door was first by the elevator. Warning would be nice. And they still clean, if you are laying in bed or not. Maybe have a deadline. Mer. I saw a private room and would say it’s worth the price but share rooms are good too. Many bathroom and showers (sperate) so one is always open.

We had a very bad experience with the Suits! And we don’t recommend this place. We first booked on another location of them, but we were told that our apartment won’t be ready for check in and we have to wait a few minutes which turned to almost 4 hours!! Once we were up to leave our luggage we realized that the place was destroyed by the previous guest and it’s not appropriate for living. The team offered another location, so we had to move 6 bags and luggage ourselves, with a 3 YO kid with us. When we arrived to the central suites) where we found: A smaller apartment Outdated kitchen and bathroom which weren’t very clean The street was noisy and not suite for a family, and we just had very bad sleep every night. On top of all the elevator got stuck and made a terrible noise from 4 AM to 9AM when they finally answered and said they’ll send someone to fix it. After a long and annoying negotiation with the team, which literately destroyed the first 1.5 days of our trip, we got a compensation of one night for free, BUT from the original price we payed, which was much higher per night than the location we ended up at. So, reconsider before you book with them.

The only downside is that it is a bit far from the central area. The walk is about 20 minutes. There is nothing to go around. The subway station is ok, but it is not convenient. The main attractions are not direct.

Photos are exactly as shown. This is a beautiful hotel. The room has a balcony and architectural detail in the ceiling that are gorgeous. For a city hotel, the room was really clean and very functional with lots of closet space, desk and table, bedside tables, and a big bathroom. Mini fridge, hair dryer, and toiletries (e.g. toothbrushes) are provided. We were worried about the noise but once we shut the balcony doors, it was pretty quiet and we had a good night's sleep. The only complaint (and this is if we're really nitpicking) is that there the aircon didn't seem to be working, but it really wasn't a big deal; we didn't ask reception about it. We just opened the balcony doors to get some air in. We didn't get meals at the hotel but the food spread looked good from what we could see. There was also a gym and a rooftop, which we took advantage of. There is fruit infused ice water by reception once you walk in, which was a refreshing break before going back to our room. Wifi was great our entire stay. It was my birthday so the hotel staff arranged with my partner to leave some champagne in the room, which was nice. :) Major plus is the subway stop is a 2 minute walk away, and there are lots of cafes nearby! Location is so convenient- you can even walk to the center of the city. Hotel staff are really nice and helpful. We'll definitely return to this hotel next time we're in Madrid! Such a great experience at the hostel. Got a room with a private terrace and a stunning view of the nice traditional Madrid. Food was nice and very good for the price too 10/10. My favorito part was the building and its interior, pretty nice and the room very cool. It’s very central and just 2 blocks down a train station, you can walk to must touristic places which is nice. Hope to be back one day haha🤪

Santa Barbara in the Justicia district of Madrid is a local's paradise. It's a squarish plaza and park and terraza all rolled into one. It has cafes and a beer hall and a few restos. And a hotel. I stayed there twice during a recent trip to Europe and found a cozy and comfy place in the heart of town but in a district that still hasn't been completely conquered (or spoiled) by hordes of tourists. The hotel has its amenities including a popular bar in the courtyard. But the true nature of the place is the staff. Sergio, Gabriel, Andrea and company just want to make you feel welcome and will go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. And Natalia must be the happiest person in Madrid. If you wake up in a grumpy mood, by the time you reach the front desk and Natalia says ”Hola!” with a big smile, your mood is sure to change. Justicia may not be your destination if you're a first timer in Madrid and may want to stay in the thick of touristier areas. For seasoned travellers to Madrid, you can't get a better deal. Or a bigger smile.

Can be an extra bed, we are 8 years old and there is no extra bed fee. But this time the hygiene is not good. On the day of the check-in, the bathtub in the room was all sand and stone. It was not cleaned. Waiting for the waiter to open the night bed, I asked for cleaning. In the evening, I went to the small garden to rest, and I ordered a glass of champagne. The waiter actually used a glass of water-filled glass (estimated to be washed and not dried) and poured champagne directly to me, hehe! The next day, the children will sleep more than 7 o'clock in the afternoon. As a result, the children's bed and the quilt are inexplicably wet. We stayed at the H10 Hotel Puerta de Alcalá at the end of May and middle of June. The hotel was very comfortable and well located. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop deck with great views of Madrid and Retiro Park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. On a day trip I mistakenly left my camera bag in a taxi. On my return to the hotel later that day, Juan C. at reception helped me begin communications with the taxi company to try to locate the camera bag. For the next few weeks after I had returned home to Canada, Juan diligently followed up and coordinated with the taxi company, organized payment for retrieval of the camera bag then prepared it for shipment to my home in Canada. He went above and beyond the usual service expected at a hotel and I wanted to point out his excellent assistance. Robert S.

Part of a hostel. Bedroom is small with worn out built in robes. There’s ironing board with no iron. Living area is spacious. TV only has Spanish programs. Kitchen has fridge, electric cooktop, washing machine, dishwasher, pots & fry pan, plates/bowls, kitchen utensils. No dishwashing powder for dishwasher, nor washing machine. One problem is there’s no power point in kitchen area for benchtop electrical appliances. For some reason the electrician didn’t connect any power points next to benchtop. We had to use the kettle, toaster & coffee machine at the power point next to the floor. Even the staff couldn’t explain why. Maybe only in suite 306. Staff has to defrost the fridge as it’s slowly building up ice. 3rd night was a bit noisy from nearby till early hours of the morning not sure from nearby neighbourhood or from hostel. No tea/coffee/milk provided. Stayed 3 nights with no housekeeping done. Good location facing road leading to Plaza Mayor. It’s a very busy street. Not very clean with lots of rubbish & homeless people sleeping around the place. Other streets much cleaner & some with beautiful buildings.

The Location was excellent but to find the hostel itself was horrible. There was totally no sign to indicate that the hostel is within an office building without any sign of the hostel name and we had walked around the whole plaza and still couldnt find the address no 1. The hostel cannot be contacted with the phone given and thankfully after finding the info counter that we find the place. However, even within the building there is nothing to indicate which level is the hostel as the building info desk was not manned at that time. There were a couple of pickpocket who followed us entered the building pretending to help us and led us going to different floors to confuse us and managed to get away with my passport cover stolen thinking that it must be my wallet. It was a very tiring and frightful experience just locating this hostel due to lack of hostel signboard and communication from the owner despite writing to them for direction.

ACCESS : hotel is ~ 200m from Herrera Oria Metro stop - exit at the Herrera Oria exit, the alternative leaves you 50 m further away and downhill. From this metro station Madrid centre is 30-45 minutes away, at a cost of €2. ROOMS : very spacious, separate bath, shower, toilet, 2 wash basins, microwave BREAKFAST : fresh orange juice for every table, good range of pastries, bread, meats, eggs, - very good OUTDOOR POOL : 13.5m diameter, good for swimming, ~180cm deep everywhere so not really child friendly, sun blocked after about 6pm, open strictly 10.30am to 8.30pm, plenty of towels and loungers GYM: best you will ever see in a hotel, looks like it was once a thriving sports club with turnstiles but Covid probably killed it - now 4 rooms of every machine you could ever want. Indoor pools were drained - maybe they will be refilled in the autumn when the outside pool closes RESTAURANTS : Taberna La Illustracion is a 10-15 minute walk - run by mother an daughter - delicious food at a great price (€40 for 4 drinks and salad starter + main). Alright is America style restaurant - good, and only place where English was used. Several smaller cafes in the area offering standard 'raciones' - all good. Great hotel for exploring Madrid from.

This review is for 60 balconies iconic. So, a surprise for me, after reserving on booking.com, is that this is an apart hotel. Positives - the location is AMAZING and the room (we had an appt for 3 people) was EXCELLENT . Staff were very helpful. Very clean throughout. Bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. A gorgeous breakfast was delivered every morning. Bread, fruit, yogurts, cereals… Negatives - pool (which had workmen upgrading the roof terrace) was freezing. Naturally, not heated, but attached to hose from mains water. Icy. Personally, not a fan of the frosted glass doors/walls to the toilet. We had a large teenager sleeping on the pull down single bed. Was a bit small. Positives far outweigh the negatives. As long as you don’t have your heart set on swimming, you will not regret staying here.

One of the best hostel I've ever been to. The 8-people shared bedroom was BIG, with beds safely distant. The overall cleanliness of the host was good, the atmosphere was great (with sangria parties going on every night downstairs and Madrid tours every morning) but the best part was the staff: super friendly and ready to help you. The Italian girl working at the reception was lovely! She recommended lots of her favourite restaurants and they were so good. Thank you so much!

The hostel is located on the 4th floor of a building few mt away from Plaza del Sol so basically the center of the center and this should be a great news but... 1) The room is approx 16 sq mt , it can fit just a bedroom and a very small bathroom 2) The closet is basically non existent . You can just put there a very small luggage and no shelves 3) Below the hotel you have at least 4 restaurant and most of all a pub which is open until 5 AM, and you'll basically have 24/7 people singing , loud, ect. This will happen on every single day of the week, not only the weekend 4) Each single morning at approx 5:30 AM you'll get the noise from the road cleaning plus the trucks delivering the beer.... to the pub! 5) The room , as well the window, is not sound proofed so... good luck with your sleep 6) The sun is hitting the building almost all day, so this means at night it's like Frodo it's about to drop a ring in your room. 7) The A/C it's noisy and due the fact that the room is so small it's basically 1mt away from your bed. Good look with your health To wrap up: good place for a night, but no longer than that!

I stayed in this hostel for 2 nights and it was nice. Room, hall, bathroom, kitchen are all clean. I did not face any issues during my stay. You will find everything you need in the kitchen they even have free coffee. When you go out, there's food options just few steps away, theres groceries, metro station - Tirzo, coffee shop. The receptionist (Josephine) is very kind and helpful she also plays nice music. They let me leave my luggage after check out so I can have more time to explore the city. Over all this place is very nice no issues at all and very safe.

The location is excellent, a step from the great road and in the beautiful chuca rion, very vivid and joyous. Rooms are simple but very clean, and have everything you need, and staff is very nice, and things to not underestimate have a 24-hour reception and also make you leave your baggage from check-out to departure ... Thank you guys 👍👍👍

Our family of three had a tiny room barely big enough for the beds and no space for luggage. The door didn't even close without having to push it past the bed. But the main reason for the 1 star is that our room was broken into our first night while we were out to dinner. The door frames are very cheaply made. Oddly, nothing was stolen but it was upsetting. We had to repeatedly ask the management to fix the door and nothing was done to make things right. We were told we couldn't be moved to another room until our last night there, even though the room next to us became available. There are no additional facilities - no common areas, no self-catering. Just a room and that's it. Some of the rooms seem to be of a good size but as stated ours was very small. There was no fridge. The hotel has security problems. It can be accessed by anyone through the back by entering through the main building doors which were never locked. There was even a ladder propped up near the back windows making it easy to climb up to access the unbarred upper windows. Repeated attempts to address this were met with indifference by the front desk staff and I was told to contact the owner. I emailed, called, and sent a whatsapp and never got a response.

Oh goodness where to start.... After a couple of weeks of traveling we were ending our trip with a night at the AC Hotel near the airport for ease of travel the next morning. We arrived and met Carmen, she is AMAZING! Bottom line when my friend made the reservation she made it for October 30th, not October 29th, and the hotel was full. After some mad typing and serious looking on the computer Carmen found us the very last room in the hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous, well appointed, and really comfortable, very sad we were only able to enjoy it for one evening. DON'T USE THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE!!!! So, the next morning, we used the airport shuttle service, OMG! The shuttle driver the next morning if it was on a rating system the star would have to start with a negative. She was unkind, unhelpful, and REALLY RUDE! Be aware when you are using this service you better do your research and know the specific terminal you are flying out of, not the airline, as she will rain hell down on your head. Thank goodness the staff in the hotel was so wonderful, professional, and terrific, couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend this property.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times this year when flying to / from Madrid airport. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Check in is always a breeze. I think a chap called Ruben dealt with my check in on my most recent visit. He is a credit to the hotel. The airport shuttle bus is easy and quick. Nothing is ever a problem at this hotel. I look forward to returning at the end of September for another stay following my trip to The States.

I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. Sweet rooms, bad smell everywhere to the point of giving you arcades, bathroom shared with 7 rooms with mugre (we dare not use it) the door of the room was not closed well... the bed had chinches and the sofas I think they were not clean, summarized a lot of dirt. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. A total tim because we pay for a hostel and gives us is ”pension” for calling it in any way. I would not come back or recommend anyone who would think to spend a night there. To finish we should have a private bathroom and we meet with a griff in The room with good understanding is over the words.
