Hotels Near Barbecue In Lecce
0.04km from BarbecueNice hotel having a very good location in Lecce. We were travelling with a group of families and we were occupying most of the rooms during that week. Truly, everthing was nearly perfect, or we could really disregard certain weaknesses if we hadn’t received a rude e-mail from the owner after we left the hotel, asking 19 Euro payment for the small bottle of wine from the minibar and the broken door handle of the bathroom. We had already paid all the mini bar and breakfast extra charges without even asking a detailed breakdown for the content. We didn’t know if he had considered the bottle of wine or not. Although we found his e-mail quite strange, we wrote to him that we could for sure pay the wine charge which must have been forgotten but the door handle was already broken when we came. He didn’t accept and insisted that we pay 19 euro through an agressive e-mail. We are responsible travellers who are extensively travelling in the world both for business and leisure purposes. We have never received such a e-mail from a hotel before. Even if the door handle was found broken, the hotel must have had some provisions inside the room charge to cover damages up to certain amounts, like 9 Euros. In brief, i recommend you that you check the room ( like a rental car) before you get inside. The breakfast was mostly sweet breakfast with many cakes, desserts, sweet cereals and fruites. We would rather like to have bread and cheese seperately, rather than pre- toasted white bread which was the only option for salt breakfast.
0.28km from BarbecueIf location, location, location is everything in real estate, the same formula applies to accommodation. And we couldn’t imagine a more ideally situated holiday house than Lu Leccio, located just inside the “Centro Storico” of the city billed as the “Baroque Capital of Italy” — yet still offering a quiet, relaxed, refined atmosphere away from the tourist bustle. Recently opened in June, 2019, Lu Leccio combines the charm of the old city’s architecture with modern conveniences and stylish surroundings — my wife described the furnishings as “Mediterranean modern” — which compelled us to turn a proposed one-nighter into a three-night stay. Innkeeper Roberto Leccio, a 32-year-old graduate of the prestigious business school at Bocconi University in Milan, has a winning property on his hands. Long-term parking is available, just a half block away, and bars and restaurants are literally at your feet. Roberto, as with many young Italians in the hospitality industry, speaks excellent English (certainly better than my Italian) and was an informative and engaging host. He not only had excellent suggestions for dining and sightseeing, but personally accompanied us to take care of parking arrangements. Lu Leccio truly was a highlight of our road trip down the Adriatic Coast. Comfort, style, tranquility and location. It’s all there. It’s why we loved Lu Leccio.
0.33km from BarbecueWe stayed in a superior room for 3 nights. We were welcomed by Valentina who is so sympathic and professional. She took us to our room on the first floor. The room was clean, beautiful, cosy with a small fridge and a coffee machine . the bathroom is very small but so beautiful. In the morning the breakfast served on the roof terrace was simply gorgeous: pastries, fresh bread, jams, coffee , everything you need. Carla who works at the breakfast and cleaned the room was more than perfect; always there to help. Thank you. We'll come back for sure
0.37km from BarbecueTo begin with - La Loggia Dei Rayno has been beautifully remodeled, with large rooms with modern finishes and a beautiful patio/breakfast nook. There are only 3 rooms total, so you definitely get a personalized experience while there, and that’s where Ana comes in. Ana and her boyfriend Leo are what made the stay extra special. They were so kind to me when I lost my wallet, coming to the hotel in the middle of the night and scouring the streets with me trying to find it. The next morning Ana took me to the police station and sat with me for over an hour acting as my translator, while sharing funny tidbits about life in Lecce. She went above and beyond what I expect of a host, and really made the stay extra special. Not to mention her baking. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, with a mix of traditional Puglian pastries and homemade sweets. It was possibly my favorite breakfast of the trip. The hotel is also in a great location, with easy walking to restaurants, shopping, and the sites of the city center. One thing to know however, is that given it’s location, tourists cannot drive on the street where the hotel is located after 9 PM. Luckily there is very easy street parking less than a five minute walk nearby that Ana will direct you to. The cost is €0.60/hour from 9am-2pm and otherwise free (which is a great deal). If you arrive at night and don’t want to wake in time to walk to the meter, we found that if you paid in the evening, the meter would go straight to covering the morning hours, which was very convenient. Overall this was a great stay with wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay again if traveling to Lecce!
0.38km from BarbecueFrom experience I prefer a smaller, family-run hotel to a larger, more impersonal place. You can build up a relationship more easily and feel appreciated, not just for your custom but for the opportunity to exchange views and compare cultures. And so it transpired at Palazzo Belsanti. As others have commented, Alessandra and Andrea are a delightful young couple who communicate their enthusiasm for the hotel and indeed for their home town of Lecce and region of Puglia. From arrival I was made to feel very welcome and was able to benefit from many useful and helpful tips - walking itinerary, restaurants (off the tourist trail) serving authentic local cuisine, suggestions of places to visit and assistance with travel, including to/from Brindisi airport with a very personable and friendly driver (to whom - kind regards). During my all too brief stay, I was very well looked after; nothing was too much trouble, no question too silly - and I am most grateful to them for indulging my wish to improve my Italian, thank you! PB is well situated for exploring Lecce old town and is also just 10mins walk from the train station, where you can get easily to Gallipoli (as I did) or Otranto, albeit on trains that have seen much service! The room was comfortable and clean, all linen and towels are made locally and PB also offers a range of locally-made products. On Alessandra's recommendation I availed myself of hand-cream, which will be a little piece of Puglia for my wife when I get back! My only regret was not to have had the time to taste wine with Andrea. Others have commented on this and I hope to return one day to improve my palate and learn more about the local wines. Nonetheless I appreciated his suggestions, some of which I was able to try at restaurants recommended to me. In short, a very pleasant stay and thoroughly to be recommended to travellers who like to meet their hosts personally and value a more intimate atmosphere. In bocca al lupo and warm regards!
0.43km from BarbecueWe stayed here for one night and it was brilliant, the room was beautiful, full of character and the air con kept the room perfectly cool. The shower and toilet where clean and all in perfect working order. Our host Elisa was so lovely and polite she also gave us a map with recommendations and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend staying here it’s also in a great location, in the old town.
0.43km from BarbecueWe booked for two nights and added a third because we enjoyed it so much. It is a perfect location to walk to all the sights of old Lecce. We are backpackers and the distance from the train station is very walkable. Local buses for excursions to other areas of Puglia are very close by. The room was perfect for our needs and the bathroom was great! There is no air conditioning but the combination of large window & fan kept us at the right temperature. Best of all was our host Azzurra. Her breakfasts were served with love and she was helpful in every regard. Not sure you could find anything better for the price. We will definitely return.
0.49km from BarbecueWe booked a garden view room in this hotel, which is located about a 5 minute walk from the old, walled part of Lecce. I had thought we would be given one of the rooms pictured on the website, located I think at the end of each wing of the building, and with its own terrace overlooking the neighbouring large garden, but instead we had a room (one of three) on the top floor of the building. There is no lift, so this meant carrying our staircases up several flights of stairs. Our room was in the middle of the floor, and lead off a large terrace and then a shared dining room with a galley kitchen. This room was never explained to us, so I'm not sure who is allowed to use it. Our bedroom opened onto a narrow balcony with one chair and three air-conditioning units — one for each of the adjoining rooms, as well as one for our room. On the second night the rooms on either side of ours were occupied and you could hear the other guests as they came and went from their rooms, or talked on their phones. The pump of the solar hot water system, which was on the roof above our room, was also audible, like a muffled siren noise. Breakfasts in the ground floor dining room were OK, but there wasn't a huge choice (e.g. no toast or eggs offered). We were given a reduction in our tariff to cover the inconvenience of the noise, which was kind of the owner, Deborah. One thing to note is that the check-in times we were notified of when we booked (4.30pm-8pm), and which we abided by, do not seem to apply as Deborah told us we could have checked in earlier in the afternoon. Parking is easily available in the streets outside. It is a pity that the rating system on Trip Advisor doesn't have an extra category between Average (3 stars) and Very Good (4 stars), as I would rate Palazzo Dei Dondoli as Good, not merely average.

0.5km from BarbecueThis is a pleasant hotel and we seleted it for its convenient location and good free covered parking. It was our base to tour this area of Puglia. It is a business hotel so it caters to conventions but we never felt overlooked. Our "superior": room was spacious in the tower building and overlooked the pool area. It was very quiet. Breakfast buffet needs a bit of attention when they are busy with tours or a convention since items are not replenished in a timely manner. The breakfast room opens to their dining room and we chose to eat there and it was most pleasant. The breakfast room can be very noisy and crowded. We did enjoy dining in their restaurant every evening after a full day of touring. Food was excellent and featured regional specialties. Also local wine was very good and reasonable. We would recommend this hotel if you are driving for its connvenience and it is a short 15 min walk into the heart of the historic old town.

Hotels Near Barbecue In Lecce Review
This hotel is such a great place. We were a bit concerned as it seemed to be in a busy commerical area but not to worry its perfect. The hotel is clean modern and the food is great. We had dinner there as well ... definitely worth it as the food and service is amazing. The location is close to the old town cross a street turn left and take a 1 k walk and voila .... close to autostradas for day trips which we did 3 of... all easily. and the fun part the shower has a ligthing option that changes colours through the spectrum... come on already its so much fun and the staff are multilingual italian english french and i believe german
Located about 1 km from the Old City of Lecce with it's Baroque Churches and buildings this is an ideal place to stay in Lecce. The hotel has car parking and being a blue badge holder I was offered a very convenient and prestigious parking space right next to the front door. If you have ever driven in Italy in a town or city you can understand why once parked you might not want to move again until you are fully recovered from the driving experience. Actually things are not that bad when you realise that non of the locals really want to collide with you but it is quite normal to try and fit as many cars into the available space as possible. Traffic lights are only there for decoration and roundabouts need speakers blasting out the Blue Danube to lubricate the circulation. The rule is "give way to the one who got there first". Also if you have a horn why not let the world hear it!! Check in was very welcoming and helpful and our cases were taken off us and swiftly delivered to our room. The air-conditioning was magically ferocious and we quickly got it at the right level to enable us to sleep under just a sheet. Then a knock at the door produced the promised kettle, cups and teabags reassuringly bearing the name Winston and the European Certification "English Breakfast". This was a real honour since kettles etc., are normally allowed only into superior rooms. A supermarket on the corner of the street supplied the essential milk and we were set up for our 4 day stay. Somehow Italian coach drivers manage to get there vehicles into the car park and having off-loaded the French visitors it was a lovely opportunity to practice my French again. French Tourists do tend to create mayhem at breakfast but the staff worked very hard to ensure that the buffet was restocked and we felt protected by the girls who knew that the way to keep the English happy was to give them each a teapot with the teabag already in and brewing. The French don't really like strong tea and tend to make infusions with luke warm water and a bouquet garni which they need to weaken before threatening a Coq au Vin with the residue. The Italians on the other hand know about coffee and are amused when we have an americano and even dose it with milk. A couple of Espressos in the morning and no wonder you drive like a racing driver! Our stay at this hotel was wonderful. The staff were all great and seemed to love having English visitors as much as we loved being in their lovely country. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so helpful. One of the girls in the breakfast room was so pleased to have done my laundry and ironed my shirts but quite disappointed to find out that I was already married. We even visited Brindisi from here by train and at Euro 2.90 each way per person this was cheaper than a mere platform ticket in the UK.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is minimalist modern, and pristine throughout. The beds are huge and comfortable, the bathrooms very smart. The air conditioning is quiet and effective. Superb breakfast-I wish we could have kept the orange juicer! Very helpful reception and other staff. Plentiful car parking. A short taxi journey to the stunning centre of Lecce cost us around 15 Euros. Recommended without hesitation.
Stayed here for 1.5 weeks on over two occasions in both a standard room and a suite. The hotel is immaculate and one of the nicest HGI properties I've ever visited - the pool roof deck, spacious lobby, and well-appointed (and very clean) rooms are all great reasons to stay here. Also: friendly check-in staff, excellent/efficient housekeeping, free parking, and just a 20-minute walk to anywhere in the Centro storico are all really important positives. However, I really take issue with the breakfast, and particularly the breakfast staff. Apart from the gentleman inside the breakfast area dutifully serving customers, the other restaurant staff (generally 2-3 people, typically 2 ladies and one man) were consistently rude and never did their jobs in cleaning the tables, resetting silverware, etc. One would walk in 1 hour before the close of breakfast, there would be a dozen empty tables, not a single one cleaned. No eye contact, no proactive service, and sorry, I have never tasted such awful coffee in Italy. Apart from this, I would absolutely return to the hotel and as a Hilton Honors Gold member, just take the points and have breakfast at one of the numerous bakeries/cafes nearby.
We truly loved our 2 day stay at Cadelli Luxury Suite in the 'One Bedroom Apartment' which is ground floor (maybe 3 steps to front door) All rooms were spotlessly clean The bedroom is large beautifully furnished, bed & pillows very comfy, lovely linen, very quiet, windows closed no noise - it is air conditioned. Big bathroom, good shower, fluffy white towels, usual toiletries, hairdryer etc. The Kitchen - is huge all amenities if you want to cook, fridge had some breakfast items, juice, yoghurt, bottled water. There is a Nespresso coffee maker, also cereal, jams etc and each morning Tania arrived with yummy fresh warm pastries & bread. This small boutique B & B is absolutely perfectly located for exploring Lecce - it is situated in a quiet little street behind the main Duomo -a 2 min walk to Piazza Duomo & 5mins to Piazza S.Oronzo ... and less than 15mins to the Train Station - a very easy straight forward route. Tania who checked us in is just delightful, full of wonderful suggestions of what to see & where to eat. Restaurant Tormaresca is one of her favourites, not touristy, a good mix /fusion of modern Italian and almost Asian - we thoroughly enjoyed it - 5 minutes from the B & B. We also ate at 'Le Zie ' original trattoria must book - so good. Also check out the wonderful deli Golosita del Salento around the corner very handy for that bottle of wine, olives, prosciutto, etc Thanks Tania for looking after us so well, we would love to return one day.
