|1.17km from city centerHotel location is good, not far from the subway station, cable car station, Union Square, but there are a lot of black people nearby, rude behavior, giving people a sense of insecurity, travel must be careful. The room has a microwave and refrigerator for your convenience. But the entire building and the room were very poorly ventilated and stinking. The service is very poor. If you don't pay attention, the service staff will yell, the deposit fee is too high, and a baggage fee is 30 yuan. The impression is too bad. You will not visit this hotel again.

|3.02km from city centerAbbiamo scelto questo motel per la sua posizione, a pochi passi dal Pier 39, dal Golden Gate e da tutte le altre attrazioni del centro, ma soprattutto perchè si trova in posizione sicura, lontano dai quartieri più degradati, come Tenderloin. Altri vantaggi di questa struttura sono la posizione molto vicina a diverse fermate di autobus, che ti permettono di raggiungere comodamente ogni angolo della città, ed il servizio di reception H24, che ti permette di arrivare e partire a qualsiasi orario. Il personale alla reception l'abbiamo trovato gentile e disponibile, e ci hanno anche tenuto gratuitamente in deposito le valigie per mezza giornata al momento del check-out. In struttura è presente anche un comodo parcheggio privato e gratuito, per chi ne avesse bisogno. La zona, sulla Lombard Street, l'abbiamo vista abbastanza tranquilla e sicura, con la possibilità di muoversi tranquillamente a piedi anche di sera, senza incorrere in episodi spiacevoli. La nostra camera era al piano superiore ed affacciata sulla Lombard Street, e nonostante sia una strada abbastanza trafficata, i vetri limitavano bene il rumore esterno. La stanza era abbastanza pulita, in ordine e con tutto il necessario, tra cui aria condizionata, frigorifero, microonde, tv, macchina del caffè a cialde, phon per capelli, asciugamani, carta igienica, ecc.. Il bagno era pulito e ben tenuto, con una ampia doccia ed acqua calda disponibile. La stanza è dotata di scuroni interni che limitano bene la luce esterna. Sicuramente però il prezzo è abbastanza alto per i nostri standard (ad Agosto), considerando che la camera era anche un pò piccola, vista la difficoltà a tenere aperte due valigie senza essere d'intralcio. Nonostante la stanza fosse abbastanza pulita, l'odore presente forse proveniente dalla moquette, non era il massimo, ed abbiamo dovuto arieggiare spesso. Il letto, seppur comodo, era un pò piccolo per due, e sembrava più una piazza e mezzo che un matrimoniale. Il parcheggio purtroppo non è disponibile per tutti, e se il Motel è pieno, sicuramente qualcuno rimarrà senza posto auto. Detto ciò, questa struttura è comunque un buon compromesso per un breve soggiorno a San Francisco.

|1.65km from city centerThis hotel is under new management so we couldn't see many reviews before booking but it was a great experience! the self check-in was a breeze (we received all the info in an email) and our room was nice and clean. The room is cozy but normal size for SF and if we needed a little more space we just went down to the lobby lounge area. There was wifi in the room and in the lobby area. The kitchen was super convenient to make a quick breakfast. We didn't use the washer/dryers but if we stayed longer we probably would have. We could walk to Union Square and there is also a Trader Joe's a couple blocks away. It was a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights!

This funky little hotel was within a long walk’s distance, just over a mile, and had parking $20 cheaper than the stadium! Our room was clean but we had to ask for a second bath towel and there was no decaf coffee available in room, but we could get some for breakfast downstairs. We appreciated the carport which was dated overnight and the staff was super friendly. We would stay there again for a quick visit.

|1.57km from city centerMy parents and I enjoyed our stay at HUS. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful. They have an option where they can send you text messages to check up on you. The room was clean and organized. I would agree with other reviews that there was a slight smell to the room, probably because the building is so old. Nonetheless, the hotel was a good value for the money and the location was great! We bought the parking package online that included valet parking, which helped save us 50% of the parking costs. When parking, there are a few curbside spaces right in front of the hotel off of Powell St. We didn't know if we could drive onto Powell St., since the public transit rail goes right through the street, but yes, we are allowed to drive onto that street. Also, the hotel stay required us a $100 deposit that gets refunded when we finish our stay without causing damage.

I’ve even completed a survey at the end of our stay which not the general manager reached out instead the administrative assistant. After my message revealing it was a generic response from her, she ghosted right after. Do you think that warranted five-stars for ghosting a guest that just stayed at your property? No. Obviously they simply do not care, which was an utter shame. In addition to that, the check-in process was a complete mess (checking in twice on the same day), room wasn’t ready close to 5pm (despite being asked by their team a couple of days when we will be arriving) and customer service simply was not that of five-stars. Sure, the suite was lovely and so were the corner views but despite how well done those points were - without customer service and being organized and on top of your game, it didn’t warrant five stars at all for a Four Seasons property. For such a pretty penny, this felt like highway robbery.

There was no breakfast served, as there were renovations going on but we found a great cafe nearby which served a great breakfast. We also found a lovely seafood restaurant for our dinner. I thought that it was very expensive for the facilities on offer but we booked it on the advice of our travel agent who had also stayed there and advised that the price was average for an American hotel near to Fisherman's Wharf.

We really liked the decor in the rooms and lobby. There was plenty of storage, and a refrigerator to keep leftovers. The only downside is the fitness room, which is very basic. We enjoyed the location with close access to many shops and restaurants.

The staff are all really friendly and helpful, 2 people of note to mention The guy behind the bar is brilliant, knowledgable, friendly and funny, a real pleasure. There is a (really) young lady on reception/check-in, she is lovely and I don't want to knock her, but she needs more training, her default is to say no to everything, not because she is being difficult, I just don't think she has the knowledge or authority to find solutions. It makes it frustrating for me as the customer and I'm sure, for her, trying to deal with people and not resolving issues. It makes you avoid her and wait for someone else to deal with. The Concierge and Valet Parking staff were brilliant, took away all the thinking on parking and restaurants etc. We would definitely stay here again if in San Fransisco

|2km from city centerMy room and furnishings were acceptable for my four day business stay. The room door has large gaps around it, though. This permits all hallway noise to be heard in the room. Worse, it allows all the ********* smoke into the room. My coworker was two floors up from me and complainedbabout the same issue I had trouble sleeping because the ********* smoke was so thick in my room. I stuck a towel under the room door, where the biggest gap was, but I had nothing to block the gaps on the top or the sides of the door. Without the ********* smoke issue and some noise issues, I would recommend Hotel Icon to male travelers.

|1.67km from city centerI totally enjoyed my stay during a 4-days at this place. The location is super convenient, take 101/130/150 to go to Union square, walk a little bit and take 19 to go to Beach Road. If you are adventurous, you can actually walk to the Downtown.
I had to check in early as my flight landed a bit advance. They allowed me to early check in at a nominal fee which is totally acceptable. Also the cityscape view from hotel is amazing!
I felt the place is safer, all amenities provided (ironing bed, hangers, refrigerator, iron box, coffee and tea bags… so on). I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend checking this out.

|1.38km from city centerThis Super 8, like most, is just a place to lay your head at night. The lobby was very small, the room was very small, not enough room for a chest of drawers. It was clean, the bathroom was updated and spacious. A small desk and chair. The breakfast had the basics except no waffles. San Fransisco is expensive, this room was not, so you get what you pay for. It worked well for us since we were gone from morning till night. The neighborhood is typical downtown. Busy with commuters and homeless, but we felt safe. Close to cable car, street car and bus lines. China town not far.

|1.57km from city centerI don’t know how, but people who work on the front desk either don’t communicate between each other or don’t speak good english. I accidentaly left a jacket in the hotel and noticed it the day after checking out. I immediately contacted the hotel and when they told me they found it, I arranged the postal service to pick it up and send it to me (even though I still don’t understand why I had to arrange everything instead of the hotel sending it to me). I had some trouble with the postal service so I figured out it would be easier if my friend that just arrived to SF picked it up for me. So they called the hotel, quite a few times. Every time the front desk would give a different response (first, that they have the jacket, then that they don’t, then that they DON’T KNOW if they have it….) and then the last: we have it, you can come pick it up. My friend came the next day and got yelled at, that they don’t have the jacket and how SHE DARES COMMING a month after I checked out. I have to mention that I tried e-mailing the hotel a few times, but it seems that they don’t check the only e-mail adress they have. Since it seems that I have to give up my brand new jacket (I live in Europe and I don’t know if I will ever be back there), this is the only thing I could’ve done. The hotel itself is okay, rooms and beds are just fine.

|2.05km from city centerI used to be a frequent guest at the W SF back when it was Starwood but had not visited since Marriott took over the W Brand. I did try and stay last year but before arriving I read that the restaurant was closed and I asked the hotel what they were doing as an alternative, but they had absolutely nothing for Platinum Breakfast (other than 1k points per stay which is a HUGE downgrade), so I opted for another hotel. I had high expectations for this stay as I had previously loved this hotel, but as a frequent traveler in Marriott brands and having one of their Highest Elite traveler statuses (and staying at W Brands lately), I knew service levels were still suffering post pandemic. Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. The hotel provides daily cleaning and refills bath amenities automatically. The air conditioning is quite cool but can be adjusted, nevertheless, the blanket is not thick enough which slightly affected sleeping quality.

|3.68km from city centerReserved here for 10 days July 26 2022. We thought the place might be OK at ~$200/night. There were remarkable problems. 1) ”Free” parking meant, ”don't use your car or you may come back to a full lot”. 2) There were NO drawers. I am serious. nothing under the TV, no side tables, and nothing in the closet. I have never stayed in a place with no drawers! 3) Did I say no side tables? There were little wooden ”flappers” nailed into the bedstead on each side maybe to place a drink. And one of them was cracked so we had to use a suitcase as a night stand. 4) Three hangers in the closet, and the closet door alternated as a bathroom door depending on your needs. So this place is right on the wharf, location-location, but it sucks. We managed to get out of our reserves for only one extra night penalty and move several blocks away to a Travelodge (Lombard St) which was the same price with none of these problems. Please stay away from the Wharf Inn and enjoy your stay.
