I was assigned to the first room in the corridor. It was really noisy in the morning. The door of the corridor was very poorly soundproofed. Someone outside could hear clearly. The rooms are clean and the internet is in good condition. The location of the hotel is not far from the old town, you can walk to it. After paying money on Ctrip, I have to pay another city tax after arriving at the hotel. This is the first time I have encountered it in Germany.

Aparthotel am Zwinger provides clean, tidy and fairly basic accommodation in a location which is easily accessible from the airport and around a 15-minute walk from most of the attractions of Dresden’s old town. The accommodation, in a couple of converted town houses, is clean and functional, with a no-frills feel. The first three floors of our building were served by an elevator but the final leg of the climb to our attic apartment was via a winding staircase only. If you find stairs difficult then be sure to ask for an apartment on a lower floor. The amenities in the apartment were clean and tidy. Our ‘double’ bed was, in fact, two fairly uncomfortable single beds bolted together, which was hardly ideal but manageable for a couple of nights. The kitchenette was simple but sufficient for breakfast and maybe light meals. Alternatively, breakfast is available in the restaurant downstairs at a reasonable price (á la carte in the week and a buffet at weekends). The check-in experience was efficient and the receptionist was very helpful. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay and these were attended to promptly and professionally. On checkout, there was space to leave our luggage whilst we took one last look around the town before catching a late flight. If you’re planning to explore the old town of Dresden then the hotel is fairly well-situated. The Zwinger Palace is around 10 minutes away on foot and, from there, you can continue into the centre of the old town for all of the popular historical sights. If you would rather take public transport, there is a tram stop just a short walk from the hotel and the city's tram network is extensive enough to take you practically anywhere central with minimum effort. If you're flying into Dresden then getting to Aparthotel am Zwinger couldn't be easier. The nearest station to the hotel - it's just across the street - is Dresden Mitte, which is a direct 20-minute journey from the airport. If you’re arriving by car, there is secure covered parking nearby. Aparthotel am Zwinger is a good choice for a short stay if you’re visiting Dresden's old town. Don’t expect luxury but you can be confident of good service and clean, practical accommodation.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Great location, within walking distance of every point of interest in the historic city center area. About a 20-25 minute walk from the main train station (we walked it, very straight forward, you walk in one main line through a shopping area, and that leads almost directly to the hotel's front doors). We stayed in an apartment, with a separate bedroom, a very large living room with a pull out sleeper sofa, and a kitchen. The bathroom was large, good water pressure. Note: just be sure you keep an eye on the shower doors, I thought they were properly closed but I ended up mopping the floor after my shower. Oops. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. Everything you could need in the kitchen, was there. Oven, stove top, microwave, dishwasher, variety of kitchen items for cooking. There is a very cute roof deck as well, looks great for a nice glass of wine and to take in the sunset (sadly we were there when it was raining and cold). Overall the hotel was very quiet, the windows are a type of storm window that shut out the noise very well. We were there on a weekend, so no construction going on, but beware that as of May 2019, there is construction on an opposite corner so that seemed like it might be pretty loud on week days. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, very accommodating, super friendly. Just all around sweet and kind people who were also very professional. Close by are places to get coffee, pastries, several restaurants are a five to ten minute casual stroll away. Taxi stands are a short walk as well, although the hotel staff will order a cab for you as needed. I genuinely loved this hotel, and plan on staying here again, whenever it is I can return to Dresden. Dresden is a very special city, with a very unique history, and is worth visiting.

The hotel is located near the Museum Island and can be reached on foot. It is very close to the subway station. There are many shared bicycles outside. There is a paid parking lot nearby. We chose to stay for three people so we added an extra bed. The dining room and living room are connected together, which is very spacious. The bedroom is a bit small, and it is simple without decoration. The one my friend lives in is more beautiful, but it is already very good as a temporary accommodation. The kitchen facilities are relatively complete, and you need to prepare your own condiments.

After booking, I immediately send an email to ask if I can allocate a room with a bathtub for you. I arrived at dawn and thought I could not check in, so I tried to leave the luggage. What is impressive is that even though I checked in early, the reception is very friendly. There are many sockets in the lobby, so it is very convenient to stop and charge your phone. In addition, I spent most of the time in Altstadt for a short weekend trip, and was able to walk to most of the attractions within 10 minutes. In particular, the Church of Our Lady is right in front of it. There are many restaurants and shops around the large square between the hotel and the Church of Our Lady, which is very suitable for dining. I don't eat in the hotel, so I don't know anything about it, but when I visit Dresden, I will stay at this hotel again, so the next review will be meaningful.

A very beautiful property with a staff that was off the charts for caring for my family. At check in they changed my accommodations to better enhance our experience during our stay. Big huge shoutout to Teddy! My mother fell in the bathroom and his help was mind boggling. Not only did he take charge of calling the ambulance, but was there for us every step of the way. I was told that the bill had to be paid in cash and the hospital would not take a credit card for payment. This was on a Sunday night with nothing open. He offered to lend us the money to pay the bill on behalf of the hotel. Wow, who does that? Thank you Teddy for all of your help and making a huge tragedy manageable by minimizing the stress of the moment.

On a tour which included 5 other 4 or 5 star hotels, but this was the worst. It was hot out of doors, 30 - 34oC and no aircon. This is a 4 star hotel they say. Our room fridge and bathroom extractor fan failed to work. I reported this, blank expression, no action taken. In fairness the restaurant and bar staff were tip top. After our first night I asked for out tea/coffee tray to be replenished, to be told "You only get one cup on arrival !" This is my first experience of the complementary tray not being restored daily, even B&Bs do it, and this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, I should hate to stay in one of Achets lower grade hotels. We only stayed two nights, which I did not greatly enjoy. I get the impression this hotel is about to fold and the staff are fighting to keep it going.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is very well located, close to everything touristy but not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The property seems fairly new or at least recently renovated. I quite enjoyed the design of the hotel and the room. The reception people were friendly. The room itself was on the smaller side but had everything we needed (kettle, iron, safe, good air conditioner, good wifi etc). There were 2 shower heads in the shower with various modes and the water pressure was excellent. Nice amenities as well. They were following all of the corona rules, so that made us feel safe. Also, we were able to park our car right in front of the hotel for just 3€/day. Unfortunately, right now there’s a lot of construction around the hotel area, so in the mornings sometimes it was a bit loud, but that’s not the hotel’s fault and will go away eventually. We didn’t take the breakfast option, so I can’t comment on that but right next door to the hotel, there’s a bakery/cafe that has excellent breakfast options for very reasonable prices. We went there every day, highly recommend. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again.

I booked the suite, the room area is a big word, it is estimated to be 50 square meters, the room facilities are relatively simple, there is no luxury that the hotel should have, the theory is more like an apartment, the suite is a big bed, one can be opened Sofa, air conditioning can not open only four windows, downstairs is noisy, hotel breakfast is simple variety of varieties, Germans eat mainly frozen, passengers who love to eat hot things are estimated to try to adapt, this home The advantage of the hotel is that it is close to the scenic spot. It takes about five minutes to walk. Parking is not convenient. Because the hotel is in a low pedestrian street, I don’t recommend it to the passengers who have accommodation requirements. The price is not high, but I don’t know why there is a 4.8 rating. The pictures on Ctrip are basically true, and can be referenced. The facilities in ordinary rooms cannot give real advice.

Elbflorenz provides all you need for a short stay. Modern, fairly close to city center, main roads, and even the Hauptbahnhof. Perfect if you go by train as you have local transport just two minutes away! (Wish that we only hade checked this before walking TO hotel from station!). The Elbe though is fifteen or so minutes distant on foot! The hotel itself t's a bit anonymous, but the price level is ok, room is large, clean and fully equipped. What really gives you value even for a brief overnight's stay is the gorgeous breakfast. The only real drawback is the ambience, the surroundings. Seems almost like a part of Dresden's World Trade Center! Busy staff at reception indeed very helpful. Also selling local transport tickets which is handy when having to catch fairly early train. We appreciated the quietness!

We stayed for one night in this hotel and we must have done something right, because we had an amazing room. The room was huge, with a separate table (great for playing board games) and an amazing view over the Elbe, on a 270-degree balcony. Room was quiet, the only drawback was that the bed for the third person, a collapsable sofa, was a joke, since it kept collapsing. We could fix it by putting a suitcase under the sofa, so it stayed ok for our son, but if it had been a grown-up this might have cause a major challenge. Also we were not happy that the sauna and the parking was charged extra and you had to inform the staff one hour in advance if you want to use the sauna. We had selected this hotel especially for the sauna since we like to warm up after a day of sightseeing, but 10 € per person is in my opinion a quite steep price. Apart from that this is a great hotel. Location is fantastic, good public transport to Dresden (tram going every 15 minutes during the day). Breakfast was good.

Our room was spacious (by European standards) and very quiet, despite the fact that we were on the street side. A bit stingy with linens and towels--but, isn't that more environmentally responsible?
