      Hotel is extremely outdated. When we got to the hotel all the staff was friendly except for 1 person and to be honest I don't think he was even a staff member, he seemed like he was 1 of the front desk boyfriend. When we got to our room the heat was on 80 degrees and our ac barely even worked. If you have children don't ever leave them unattended in the room our hotel window could be complexly opened and we were on the 3rd floor.Elevator was broken for the whole stay. When we asked front desk about it they said they don't know when anyone will be coming to fix it and we all just have to deal with it. There was mold in corner of our room, and a beer bottle opener screwed into the bathroom door frame. While we were their for our stay the air quality was not the best and my friend has sever asthma and wearing a mask in some places are very hard for his body and breathing. We made sure we weren't around anyone and we were heading to our room when we got stopped by the " 1 employee" was combative to us on why he did not have a mask on. Don't get me wrong if he would of asked we would of stopped and explained to him the situation but he was already aggressive and did not want to argue in the lobby. Hotel does have a bar/ lounge but it was closed and someone was sitting in the bar area just watching tv. When we were checking out the same "hotel worker" followed us out and processed to pull out his phone and start recording the parking lot. After we left we called the hotel and asked to speak to a manager or GM to complain about this worker and the front desk didn’t want to hear it.

      My husband, children and I have visited this hotel many times while on vacation, and have always had a wonderful stay. This time, I had to rush to Erie due to a medical emergency with a family member. I brought with me my dear cousin, who lives in Ukraine, was displaced in Albania, traveled 40 hours to get to her Mother's bedside. I picked her up in Pittsburgh, and we headed to Erie. When we arrived at the hotel, each and every staff person whom we spoke with was kind, gentle, and incredibly helpful. They respected the privacy we needed while dealing with an incredibly difficult situation. We felt cared for and supported. After each day of dealing with very sad and tragic circumstances at the nursing home, my cousin and I collapsed in the incredibly comfortable beds, looked out the windows, and talked while staring at the amazing view of the Bay. I am so very thankful to all of the staff at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel, from the General Manager to the Restaurant Servers to the Front Desk and Housekeeping Staff for making an incredibly difficult time a little bit easier. Thank you.

      I stayed here for one night in March 2022 and was very pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. It appears to be brand new and everything was top-notch. I had a room with a view of the lake and the view was great. I use the pool in the hot tub both of them are nice as well. I also have a bunch at the restaurant and it was great. The staff was helpful. I did get charged for parking in the garage when I did not park in the garage however so I am not sure why that happened. But overall I would stay at this hotel again. It was definitely the nicest Courtyard I've ever stayed at.

      Customer service is really going down hill. Kindness goes a long way. When I called to make reservations I was told hotel was booked full but then got the room online and when asking front desk about it to try to get AAA price they said I’d get a call back from manager but never did so I had to stick with the price I got on hotel’s.com. (Poor communication) Check in at 11PM was great! MaryEllen is so kind and welcoming. Check out was completely the opposite. Early checkout and the lady didn’t smile or say a single word. Just looked miserable. Hotel smelled weird like old lady perfume and made our luggage and clothes smell. Bedding felt like snake skin. Water pressure is great along with temp of water. Rooms are a nice size. Vent blows on bed at night and can cause congestion issues. (At least in the room we stairs in this year on the first floor) We stay here every year for our anniversary and overall was disappointed. We may have to look for a new hotel to stay at while we visit Erie next year.
