9.47km from downtownI have stayed this hotel when I boarding to guwahati with my family. It's very near only walkable distance. They booked even cars for me for the whole 7days tour. Again at return o enjoyed dinner. 5star from my side because only for their hospitality. It's true this is just a guest house but at this cost I got better then others. Thank you very much Dekapara Airport Guest House

9.48km from downtownCustomer Service(Treebo hotels): Very Good I booked for this hotel through Booking.com during September 2019, and had not made any payments towards the same. On the evening of the stay, I called their customer service and intimated the hotel that I will make payments only on reaching the hotel. They agreed to the same and informed the hotel as well. Food: (No food availed) Since we left at 5:00 for the Airport, there was no food availed. Stay: Good The rooms were clean, with heater in the toilet and electric kettles were provided. This hotel would be a good choice for someone looking for good sleep, safe stay and have to catch the Airport. There''s no scenic view or anything as such from or around the hotel. But since we checked in late and checked out early, this was not an issue.
9.88km from downtownValue for money, would prefer to stay here more.
10.6km from downtownHosting 35th IACDE National Conference would have been a nightmare if the venue wasn't Hotel KiranShree Grand. I applaud the entire staffs of the Hotel for their commendable job. There was not one thing that the entire team didn't support us with. 20.82km from downtownIf you need to catch a train from Kamakhya Railway station early in the morning and are looking to stay the night at a place somewhere near, this is just the place for you. Kamkhya Railway Station is a little more than half a kilometre from here. But that is where all good things about this property ends. Located beside the Maligaon flyover, this property is located on the 3rd floor of a building that houses a diagnostic centre on the first and second floors. I don't now if its a problem with the property or something else, but electricity in this place keeps playing hide and seek. There are power cuts every 10 mins approximately, during the day. We faced this harsh reality when out lift got stuck midway on our way up after our arrival. After getting stuck for nearly 10 minutes the power came back on and we reached the reception. Check in was smooth and we were shown to Room number 105 and 110. A stinky smell strikes you the moment you enter the room. The only saving grace was a functional AC. The bed linen was not clean, the pillows tried their best to replicate the feel of the pillows provided by the Indian Railways, where you head is virtually on the bed and not raised up by a pillow. No towels or toiletries were provided in the rooms. On asking for towels, the middle aged person ***ning the reception, only ***aged a wry smile and did not say a word. Cockroaches and bugs were aplenty. Basins and commodes were dirty. Jugs were there in the room but no one cared to fill it even once. You can order food in the room. Regarding the food....the lesser said, the better. It was terrible to say the least. The rice provided almost seemed stale. Breakfast is provided free, but after the experience with dinner, the night before, I could not gather the courage to try it. I have always preferred OYO for my hotel stays as they adhere to strict quality standards and strive to provide customers with a good experience. But, this property does not deserve to be a a certified OYO property. OYO should seriously consider severing their ties with this property. Will never recommend this property to anyone and would certainly not go back again. The newly constructed retiring rooms at Kamakhya Station would be my priority next time.
Hotels Near Batarhat Bus Stop In Kamrup Review
This is an outright business hotel. The rooms are big and clean. Room has all modern amenities like TV, Fridge, Tea / Coffee Maker. The hotel is 4 star and has set high standards. They have a restaurant but they serve only veg food. The food is quite expensive so you can always choose to dine elsewhere or order food from Swiggy or Zomato. I had stayed for business purpose so all offices are nearby. The hotel is not very far from Maa Khamakhya Temple as well. The staff is good and polite. Room service is fast.
Beautiful spaces - hard woods, Assamese textiles, local art and artefacts - and large, immaculate rooms and bathrooms. Staff was efficient and helpful. However, lovely wood floors and minimal insulation transmit clatter to the room below, and hallway voices carried clearly as well. Road noise was loud in our third (US / 2nd Indian) floor, back of the building room. Finally, there was a strong odor of mildew in our room air conditioner. We let it run while we went out for a few hours, but it remained strong enough to cause sniffles and a tingling in my throat. When asked if they could do anything about the mildew, ***agement initially claimed it was the scent of the wood floor (which it wasn’t), suggested a room spray (no), and then offered to move us (thank you), but the two rooms they showed us smelled equally mildewy. This is otherwise a local gem, and I think in high season when the rooms are full every day, the a/c will not be a problem.
Staff are very helpful and a true value for money considering the cozy rooms and in room amenities. Overall 5 Stars for the location , service and tariff. True Value for money. Thank you team Mahalaxmi. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Meghalaya and Assam.
Prag Continental Hotel is located in the heart of the Guwahati city, from where you can easily visit Shopping (Fancy Bazar), Books (Pan Bazar), Holy places (Sukleshwar temple - walking distance; U***anda temple - just a small boat ride; Digholi Pukhuri & War Memorial - walking distance); Railway station, High Court, Brahmaputra River etc. in the vicinity. Rooms are well equipped with basic amenities, however, bathrooms need renovations immediately. Restaurant & Bar serves your needs.
Service and facilities are great. I really enjoy the food (they have recently changed the chef and food quality remains very very good). Every time I come back, I'm delighted with the staff reception and quality of service. They are the best
Ginger Hotel in Guwahati is one the most cleanest and most hygiene maintained hotel ever visited. Staffs are absolute professional and understand your needs and requirements very well. The food of the ginger is delicious and the best part is they maintain a proper social Distancing during this Corona times. They keep on cleaning the rooms and the corridors. Dimpi Hazarika is one the best staffs in the Ginger Hotel. She is very Polite and very affectionate. Overall it's an excellent stay in the time of Corona. And one the strikingly attractive part is the location. It's very calm and have a scenic beauty of glorious hills of Assam.
This has to be the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my years of travel and working in the travel industry. I booked this hotel for myself , my boss and 9 clients for 1 night after our tour in Kaziranga, to spend the night and take the flight back to Sri Lanka via Delhi the next day. Oh boy where we in for a surprise. The hotel is not even a 2 star hotel in my opinion, the toilets were so old and basic it was shocking. Even our old wildlife department bungalows in Yala and Wilpattu had better toilets. It was that bad. The toilet seats were dirty and the cisterns were old plastic ones which were not working properly and the toilet seat was in peaices. The overall toilets were terrible. The rooms were also old and not well maintained. One of the clients complained the sheets looked like used and not washed. When I went to the shower there was no hot water, and when I called the reception they were asking me “sir do you want hot water? Shall I turn the main switch on then? “ and I was in shock. Also the Wifi as well they do several “mgyver” type of mechanical operations by the hotel maintenance to get working. We were worried stepping into dinner what the clients would say. Dinner was excellent and very tasty. But there also we had an issue. We clearly gave each order one by one with each room number to bill to. End of the service the waitress came with all in one bill and we told her to put each iteam ordered room wise like we asked before. She gave an annoyed expression and made a rude gesture towards my client. My boss Athif was with us, and he got very angry. Then she said she will make the bills an come to get them signed. The clients waited over 3o mins and no bills were coming. Then when we asked she casually said she will give it at checkout tomorrow, when the clients have been waiting tired and sleepy for over 30 mins expecting this to come which she said shes giving. My boss and myself immediately asked to speak to the ***ager, who came sheepishly and listened and apologized to us, but we wanted them to personally apologize to clients the next day which he agreed (but later never did and hid from us whole of the next day). Then the best part started when at night the power went off at around 2.30 AM and my boss Athif went down in the middle of the night 3 flights of stairs to check whats wrong and to see the hotel wiring something has happened and they were fixing, it, not the main power nor the generator issue, and he went up and down twice 3 flights of stairs to check with me in the middle of the night breaking out rest and sleep to see this issue, and so embarrassed that the clients will protect on this. The Power came back only at 6.30 AM. This by far is the worst hotel experience I have had in my career and I am deeply upset that we even put our clients in this place. Given this embarrassment we ended up paying the dinner bills of the guests as well to co****sate for all these issues. The clients said the whole trip was grea
I organized the alumni meet of the school I lead, St. Vivekananda English Academy, Maligaon, Guwahati as a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the school. The venue for the meet was the roof top of this hotel. Decorated in the black and red theme, the staff of Gateway Grandeur presented us with a beautiful decor. While I sat with the Food & Beverage ***ager of the hotel, Mr Mrinal Hazarika to decide the menu before the party, the dishes suggested by him took me by surprise. I was rather wary of trying the unheard of dishes. Chicken with chana dal was something I wanted Mr Mrinal to replace. "Mam, you try it out. I am sure you will like it", suggested Mr Mrinal sounding extremely confident. We enjoyed the evening with sumptuous snacks and awesome dishes cooked to perfection by the new Chef of the hotel. The global experience and exposure (he was working in Los Angelo's prior to returning to his roots) that this young Chef has reflected in the dishes. From the Jamaican styled chicken starter to the whole fish in oyster sauce and the chocolate brownie, all the dishes just did wonders to our taste buds. Thanks to the entire staff of HGG for planning and executing our Alumni Meet to perfection.
Visited this resort with family month of DEC 2018. It is close to pobitora wild life around 20-22 KM from resort.Nicely maintain property and beautiful vally view cottages,. Nice helpful staff and decent food. You can spend one night if you plan to travel Meghalaya from Gauhati .
This place is very nice for staying and spending some time . I really enjoyed alot with my friends and want to visit it again . Had a nice time spent here full of good memories. Very clean and healthy enviroment.
One of my friend's aunt had to undergo a major surgery. So booked this hotel for the patient's daughter and her cousins. The ***ager didn't allow the cousins (one boy and two girls) to stay in the same room even after showing family ties. It was a bad experience as the boy had to book another room and thus pay unnecessarily even if he was a family member. The hotel is located close to Hayat Hospital. There are no other hotels nearby except some basic rooms which are mostly full. So no choice but to stay here. Rooms are ok. Not sparkling clean. The hotel doesn't have any restaurant. I didn't have a good experience. They should understand the situation.
