2.03km from Bauang-Naguilian-BaguioWe drove all the way to Vigan and we stopped over twice in Bauang to enjoy the food and the beach. Our first stop we stayed at a private resort with impeccable hospitality. On our way back we opted to try a different room accommodation and Agoda says the rating of Marand Beach is commendable. So we chose this hotel and specifically requested for 1 King size bed. Prior, we called the property and our call was directed to the other resort ( not the Marand beach resort but the Marand Spa) I don’t know the difference. I only followed waze. But I was told to proceed and they will give instruction. During my call I was informed that I don’t have a booking despite I mentioned my booking reference number. God gracious I paid with my American express but doesn’t matter. We left and went to the other resort only to find out that the room that was prepared for us was twin bedded despite booking a deluxe king bed for a Night. Moreover, Due to employee Christmas party no food service is available, that’s ok with me but not getting the room that I paid for is not ok with me. I was given a twin bedded room by the manager named Roan as she said there’s no other room available, so I showed again the confirmation from Agoda. The manager argued, raised her voice at me and mentioned that they will call Agoda “ at 630pm?” Are you kidding me???? Who will answer from Agoda at his time? The reliever named JM and Manong June found to be the relative of the owner who nicely handled my request. I even spoke to manong June’s wife who nicely accommodated my request and listen too on my complaint. After more than an hour I finally got the room that I paid for with the help or June, JM and wife of June and James (the guard) who accompany us in the room and extended apologies. ( guard knows how to apologise maybe he can teach the service the customer service.) Never ever book this hotel and never ever deal with Roan. She doesn’t know how to handle customer request! I pity the owner of this resort you’re wasting your money paying for such employee who doesn’t listen to your customers.
