I had a wicked experience here, it was a great hostel in a nice location for a great price. One of the main highlights of this hostel was the basement. Great place to meet people and play games/listen to music. There is a small kitchen but some great tapas bars around the corner!

We booked well in advance direct and got a great price. It is located 20 min taxi ride from the airport. You can book taxis in advance. Very clean hotel, lift to all 5 floors. Friendly helpful reception staff who speak English. Reception is manned 24 hrs and it is a very secure hotel. Room size good and spotlessly clean, sheets nice but mattress not that comfortable and room was very hot as aircon was not the best. Good size bathroom and toilet. Nice little bar, a small area where they serve breakfast but reception said you can have it or go elsewhere. Went to a little cafe 2 mins walk away and it was great. Good location for all attractions and the metro is just 2 mins away. We would go back.

We just stopped by for one night to have a good rest arriving at 3am during the night. 24hr receptionist is available at the hostal and he was kind, friendly and quick in his check-in arrangements. Rooms were just avout right, no frills but with good modern bathroom and most importantly clean. Breakfast was adequate considering the moderate price and just enough to get you going in the morning. All in all it has met our expectations. I did not like the tiny elevator tough which makes it difficult to use during peak busy hours. Lockers are also available for the low price of Euros 2 - two small luggage fit in each locker. All in all it was a positive experience.

Note not all rooms are the same. We had a room on the 3rd floor. Yes it has an elevator and air conditioning!!! Size was over 800 square feet and included 2 bedrooms (one double bed, other option of two twins or a king size bed), 2 full bathrooms (one with a stand up shower, the other with a tub/shower), a living room, space for a dining room table, and a kitchen that included fridge, oven, stove, microwave, washing machine (but no dryer, drying rack was included though), coffee machine, kettle, all dishes, pots and pans and utensils. Towels, sheets also included, as were several rolls of toilet paper to get us through the week, and dishwashing soap to wash the dishes. (Not all places include these items). Also had 2 outdoor porches as well. I would recommend that the owner include oven mitts and a pair of scissors. Luckily I had a pair of scissors packed with me (for crafts for the kids) but most travellers will not have scissors on them - due to baggage restriction). We had to use a towel to pull cookie tray out of the oven. Well located, supermarket across the street (not a full grocery store, more like a convenience store though) and metro within a block away. Subways, McDonalds, Burger King and other well known "American" franchise restaurants within a 1-5 minute walk away. LE PARNIER, down the street, would sell pastries later in the day at half price, eg: croissants for 50 or 60 euro cents, which you could pick up for breakfast the next day. Highly recommend this apt.

This has to be the worst place I’ve stayed. Upon arrival we tried to gain entrance to the building to speak to the concierge. He was not there and we were waiting for about 10 mins before he came. When he came he just said you should have called me, when in fact we did not have his number, I would have expected an apology for his absence and making us wait but he did not apologise. We then finished the paperwork and went to our apartment. The apartment was dirty. Staines all of the wall and floor. I opened the fridge and found mould inside and also leftover fried food in the fridge. I went to microwave my food and the microwave moved back and saw mould all underneath the microwave. We had a five day stay and 3 out of the 5 days we were sent to different rooms to have a shower, we asked them to move rooms and they refused. I was in the middle of my shower then all of a sudden the water went freezing cold, I could not continue my shower so I went to the concierge and told him, he said he will send maintenance and we were waiting for an hour and a half and no one came. We had something planned but we missed it and wasted our whole day and that’s when he decided to let us shower in a different apartment. I do not recommend this place at all purely due to the lack of cleanliness, NO HOT WATER and attitude of staff. We had to buy disinfectant and clean the place ourselves before we felt comfortable in the apartment. Also every time you opeb the bathroom door it seems as if the ceiling will fall. I also forgot to mention I saw people in the lobby and they also did not have no hot water. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

After travelling for months on end and staying at countless hostels, I have to say this is one of the very best!! the hostel has a good location (close to a street of exceptional tapas, not far from la ramblas, supermarkets close, metro 5 min walk away, ect...) the security is good (code to enter front door, 24 hour reception and lockers in every room). Wifi strong all over hostel, very very clean!!! Beds brilliant - have curtains for privacy, very stable, couldn’t feel when the person above/below you moved or got up!! All the basic facilities were great. But the very best thing was easily the atmosphere!! If you’re looking for a social hostel THIS IS IT!! The staff are beyond incredible - they’re SO SO welcoming and genuinely friendly. Shoutout specifically to Rio, Baptiste and Mauro!! Whilst they were super helpful and inclusive, they also blended in with the guests and didn’t act with authority. The free dinners every night (tips welcome if you want but not forced) were a great way to meet people and were followed by drinking games (predominantly pizza box and drinking jenga which were SO much fun!) super inclusive, fun, social atmosphere, filled with lots of laughs!!! occasionally got free sangria, jungle juice, chips and chocolate biscuits for free after dinner too!! you left for a different bar and club every night which was free entry with the hostel. you aren’t forced to go out and party but most people did. daily activities were also good. genuinely felt sad leaving this place! made some super good friends that I’ll definitely keep in touch with!! overall a great hostel to party and be social with lots of additional freebies! 100000% worth it!! THANK YOU HOSTEL ONE PARALELO FOR EVERYTHING!! I will be back :))))

The next Subway station is just around the corner. Bars, restaurants are also near by. The single room is really tiny but it covers all the basic needs. The bathroom is clean, equiped with a hair dryer. A very good hotel for a very reasonable price. The walls are very thin though :) Would definitely visit again.

We had booked a pool view standard double room here for our honeymoon in March. Although they claim to be situated at a walking distance from the Las Ramblas street it is quite a stretch of the imagination and it used to take us 20-30minutes to walk there. The only saving grace was that the Paral-lel metro station was just 5mins away so it was easy to navigate. The size of the room was appallingly small. When we requested star hotel. It rather felt like a hostel. Maybe it's a part and parcel of the hip and eco friendly image they try to cultivate but it's not something you expect at the exorbitant rates they charge. Another thing we found very strange was the fact that in the so called breakfast buffet the variety was dismally limited and they had a laughable policy of only serving one egg per person and that too in their set preparation styles-scrambled, fried or poached (we requested the humble omlette which they refused). They describe themselves as "hip and trendy" but I'll be the judge of that! I would simply advise potential tourists that there are much better places to stay at in Barcelona. Strictly ok... nothing particularly memorable!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic great location to get to the hotel the best route we found was jump on the aerobus from the airport t1 tickets can b brought from the tourist info cost €10.20 I think rtn needs to b used within 15 days get off at the first bus stop Plaça d espanya get the metro green line L3 look for the train that goes to trinitat nova ( lots of steps to climb up and down for the metro) once on the metro it’s two stops down to Paral-lel walk down the road and u will the hotel check in is from 3pm when we arrived they allowed us to check in which was great the receptionist was great very welcoming and very friendly and helpful We paid for a premiere room with city view but they upgraded us to a premiere room with a balcony which has great views of the city the room is very light and modern the bathroom is a good size and a walk in shower as well the beds were comfy they provide slippers and a bathroom as well there is a safe and also plenty of hangers which u can actually take off there is also an iron but no ironing board Mayb u need to ask for one there is shampoo and conditioner and body wash in a dispenser by the shower also a hair dryer in the bathroom in the draw under the sink there is also tea coffee facilities there is air con Aswell the only downside about this hotel is the amount of noise that u can here from outside but u can’t have it all the hotel location was great just a walk down and ur Right at the harbour and at the bottom of la rambles the hotel reception bloke was fantastic very help the hotel offer currency change so long it’s not a big amount and also if u want to do the hop on off bus they charge a euro less so instead of €30 it’s €29 savings a saving I would highly recommend this hotel and I would certainly stay again Check out at 12 they have a left luggage as well

We stayed for 4 nights. The rooms were lovely and clean, and cleaned everyday with fresh towels etc. Also had dressing gowns and slippers. Rooms have everything we needed, coffee machine, hairdryer and iron on request. The receptionist Jose was great and did his best to make us comfortable, very attentive to our needs and requirements. There’s a Lidl right next door, which we found very useful, especially as room service can get quite pricey. The first room we stayed in didn’t have a full length mirror which was really annoying, but we were able to move to a room which did. The sink is outside the bathroom, which ended up being really useful when getting ready in the mornings. Overall a lovely comfortable stay in an excellent location, close to the centre, beach and metro stations. Will stay again!!

We spent 5 days in Barcelona over Christmas 2019. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the little restaurant was really good with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The room on the other hand was disappointing. The beds definitely need to be replaced. My partner and I had two single beds pushed together and both beds were hollow in the middle. Our room overlooked Avinguda del Paral.lel and it was incredibly noisy at night. There was a lot of ambulance activity in the street. The room was really small with a minute wardrobe to hang clothing in. We had no hot water in the shower on the first day (middle of December), this problem was sorted out the next day thankfully. Tea/coffee and sugar was supplied only the first day and then again two days later (after I had gone to buy coffee, sugar and milk). No milk or creamer is supplied. I do not understand why. No proper cups or mugs were supplied. Only two paper cups which one obviously can not re-use. My partner hurt his ankle and I ordered ice to put on the sprain. We were charged for the tiny bucket of ice! We were quite surprised that the hotel has a 4 star rating. Other than the room the hotel is quite central and we did enjoy our time in Barcelona.

Fortunately, I chose this hotel at the beginning, and I was quite satisfied with it, especially the Chinese staff and comfortable beds. Would recommend to friends. Location: It is about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport and the price is about 35 Euros. Going to the airport can ask the front desk for help. There are two supermarkets within 100 meters from the entrance and turning left. The medium-sized (much larger than 7-11) has everything in stock, especially the second one is more complete! Closed on Sundays, the slightly larger one is open until 21:30. Because there are so many thieves in the subway, the whole process is mainly walking and taxiing. The subway station does not know how far away. It is about a 10-minute walk from Casa Mila and Casa Batlló, and nearby (15-minute walk) there are Chinese food and a super delicious shop. Hygiene, facilities: Very clean, two bottles of free mineral water every day, and non-heavy chocolates on the pillow. The bed was comfortable, not hard or soft, and the quilt was particularly comfortable. Hangers, disposable slippers, disposable toiletries, kettle, refrigerator, safe are all available, and there is a mini pool and gym upstairs. Fruits and discount cards were also given on the first day of stay. Service: the best! On the first day, the front desk was assisted by a young Chinese service man who helped bring luggage to the room and sent us a map to introduce the location of the attractions. I can basically meet him in the next few days, greet him warmly, and asked him many questions, I really appreciate it! The service is also highly recommended for this hotel. Some suggestions: The shelf in the bathroom will touch the arm, the air conditioner in the room will respond slowly, and both pieces of the bathrobe will be damaged.

Barri Gotic
Stayed here for three nights in July. We ended up here by accident after our original hotel cancelled, but couldn’t have worked out better. The junior suite is generous by any hotel’s standards and the bathroom is excellent. The hotel is really well located, and we more or less walked everywhere. You can walk to the really nice restaurant district of Born and the beach very easily as well. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for you, despite the challenging circumstances all hotels find themselves in at the moment. The rooftop bar is the highlight though, with stunning views across the city, great cocktails and and a great soundtrack. Sitting in the pool and then having drinks up there was a highlight of the holiday. We especially enjoyed the rooftop bar’s ‘Instagram corner’ where bored but clearly well trained boyfriends/husbands would take 847 pictures of a partner pouting at various different angles or acrobatic poses. The one woman dance routine on one occasion was a little much though. Maybe we’re just too British. When things return to normal (please!) we will definitely be back. Strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of style and luxury in their holiday. Special shout out to the reception staff who were very patient with my Spanish! It made me feel much more competent than I am.

Villa Olimpica
What an amazing Hotel it should be 5 star! It was a little off putting when we arrived as there was a small homeless camp outside, but there was no bother from any of them, and once inside it was soon forgotten about! On arrival, check in was quick and we were offered a welcome drink, Cava for us and water for my daughter, she also received a H10 teddy and a sweet! The lovely man checking us in (i'm so sorry i forgot your name) noticed it was my 30th Birthday that day and gave us a room upgrade to a suite. The view from this room was unbelievably awesome with a window the full length of the room! The bed was huge and so comfy, the bathroom was well stocked with every toiletry/accessory you'd need and had a jacuzzi bath! The coffee machine in the room was brilliant. We had a cocktail at the bar which was good, and although a bit expensive was the same price as most in the area. One downside was the outdoor rooftop pool wasn't heated which meant although it was open, it was far too cold to use! Lovely seating area up there though which we made use of. A huge thank you to the hotel for the delivery in the evening to our room of Cava, Chocolate Mousse, sweets, cookies and chocolate covered strawberries, The room upgrade was more than enough, and this was so unexpected, what a lovely way to end my birthday! In the morning we were able to watch the sunrise from our bed with a coffee which was very lovely! Breakfast was incredible, nothing was missing, all well stocked and nothing ever ran out! Check Out was super quick and we were able to leave our bags for a few hours before we moved to our next hotel. Biggest downside about our stay was it was only for 1 night, we wished we had booked for longer!

I travelled with my children and we had a superior room with three separate beds. The room was spacious and we had a view of the beach across the road. I have given five stars as the hotel delivers what it sets out to. The staff were very helpful before I travelled, as well as during our stay. I liked that they sent me a survey whilst I was there. We had assumed the air conditioning was not working because we travelled offseason. We were offered an upgrade, which we did not take, however, we did get a fan and this helped a lot.The staff also helped me book tickets online, checked us in early. Customer service was excellent. The restaurants nearby are excellent, for breakfast, lunch, dinner whatever you prefer. There is a shopping centre nearby which a great variety of food, we chose the tapas.

Just checking out of the hotel after a great weekend in Barcelona with my son to watch Barcelona play Getafe. The hotel is in a good location just 10 minute walk from Collblanc Metro station with direct links to the airport and 10 minutes to Nou Camp for the game. The check in staff were great on Friday afternoon, also the cleaners were polite and always said hello. The cafe / bar is best avoided. The staff try to ignore you, on my first visit the two members of staff spent 5 minutes trying to avoid me, the lady on Friday evening even came from behind the bar, straightened the four chairs next to me then walked away. We ate in the hotel on Saturday night, the prices are reasonable but the quality is lacking. Also the food available was disappointing, many items in the short menu were out of stock. When we got the bill I was told that the bottle of tap water we also had wasn’t on the bill but we had to pay an extra €3 for this. Not sure if this went through the till or in the top jar. Last night I bought a 1/2 litre jug of sangria to take to the room, was charged the €5.65 as per the menu but the drink was given in a glass the same size as a standard sangria I had on Saturday night. I questioned this with the bar staff but they were adamant they were right. In the room after I had finished the glass, I filled the glass up with tap water using the 200ml bottle of sprite we also bought. It was no surprise that the 500ml sangria glass only takes 400ml of the liquid. As we checked out, my son went to reception a minute before me to get some €1 coins for a few games of pool before we left. He asked the receptionist, who gave him 4 x 50c coins in return. He said this wasn’t enough but she dismissed him. When I walked down moments later he was upset so I challenged the receptionist. She said she was right but after my insistence she back down and gave us the other €2 back. She said the hotel did. It have any €1 coins. We asked at the bar, but he didn’t have any either. We could have just been unlucky with the water charge, the sangria being short and with my son being short changed at reception, I will never know. I would not return to this hotel to find out. Please book somewhere else.

We spent 4 nights at the hotel in December, although a little way out of the center, the area was fine with many bars, restaurants, bakery/coffee shops. The subway close by, easy to navigate to the airport by train on a direct line and into the city. Sagrada Familia cathedral on same road, 10 minute walk. The staff were very helpful, good command of English and the rooms clean/well serviced but in line with most European city’s, small side. Kettle coffee/milk etc in the room. Superb power shower, in fact the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Had breakfast there once, €11 and was fine, the usual continental type, but coffee shops nearby much cheaper if you are just looking for coffee/croissant. I wouldn’t hesitate staying there again and noticed they had an outside area off the breakfast room, and large seating area on the upper floor that anyone can access.
