JUST A NOTE TO CANADIAN SENIOR TRAVELERS: The Canadian CARP is NOT RECOGNISED as the same as the American AARP, unlike the partnership with the CAA and AAA. I am afraid I have to agree with all the ONE and TWO STAR ratings of this place....and certainly it is NOT THE FAULT OF THE under-paid employees!!! (A shout out to Cameron who was EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL to me with my late arrival and some issues I needed addressed). As stated in a previous review, this is a corporate MOTEL6 problem which obviously does NOT MONITOR their franchisees. This is an older building which has been trying to maintain itself in this pretty town on the lovely mid-state Hwy 301. There is certainly not the constant truck noise now the by-pass has been built but this also siphons off possible customers. But trains still pass through and announce themselves at the crossings with their horns so if you are a light sleeper you will be awakened several times during the night. As far as the room is concerned....this is bare bones BUDGET accommodation. The initial musty smell when you enter is very difficult to get rid of even after using the HVAC system. Although the bedding is moderately comfortable there was an absolutely disgusting bedspread with holes and stains . Why would anybody put that on a bed????? The bathroom tub had mold and tiles falling off the wall and the bathroom fixtures are ancient and worn. This is a one and done for me.

After driving up from Ft Meyers I was exhausted and the hotels are somewhat limited on highway 301. My girlfriend and I figured we were gambling on staying at this Best Western but I couldn't keep my eyes open much longer. I staggered in at almost midnight and the man behind the counter had a big smile, I explained how tired I was, he gave us a great room, close to the office, air conditioning blowing, comfortable bed, never heard a sound all night, hot shower, and a great breakfast after checking out. We weren't sure about staying at this small hotel but this place has made me a Best Western customer for life. I can't explain how much I appreciated the hospitality you gave to us that night. Also, one thing that stood out was when I told the guy at the desk how tired I was and I REALLY needed some rest he said that if any of the residents were noisy just to let him know. It was quiet all night but that was pretty cool of him to show his concern. A++++ for this hotel

Bon hôtel, et le personnel super accueillant. Tout le monde travaille fort pour rendre votre séjour super agréable. Nous sommes arrivés plus tôt en raison de la tempête Nicole, le personnel s’est dépêché pour rendre notre chambre disponible. Au déjeuner la dame s’était toujours à l’avant de vos besoins. Vraiment exceptionnelle.
