Room: Fair sized room with desk, double bed and ensuite. Sheets and walls were clean. Slippers provided. I had a comfortable couple of nights stay here. Location: This is an excellent location for seeing more of Singapore! The street's history, combined with some surrounding modern buildings, provides a refreshing glimpse of 'Old' and 'New' Singapore. You are not even a five minute walk from Chinatown, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, a Michelin-star eatery (Hawker Chan), and glimpses into Singaporean life. Keong Saik Road is quiet in the day, with some cafés and bookstores nearby, but has bars for the nighttime too. Amenities: A light breakfast is included in the price of the room, something I liked as other (more expensive) hotels I had stayed in had charged for breakfast. Value: The only thing I would point out to prospective visitors is that there are not many rooms, and they are not very uniform. I think this must be something that comes with putting a hotel into a heritage building. It would probably be best to email/phone the hotel beforehand to get more information about the rooms. Nonetheless, this hotel is very good value for money, especially with its history and local charm. I would like to stay here again :)FromUS$46.00

I just spent the last three nights at the KeSa House and I have to say, overall, the experience was very good. Pros: - Beautifully designed boutique hotel. From the main registration area, to the 2nd floor lounge, to the kitchen and patio, and of course the room, all of it was very pleasing. - How many hotels do you know offer unlimited water and soda water and snacks? The communal kitchen was a plus for me. - Also, how many hotels do you know offer complimentary laundry? - The room (I had 225, street-facing), was very inviting. The bed, comfortable. The overhead shower was amazing, felt like you were caught in a huge rain storm. - The staff, very friendly and professional. Cons: - The laundry, although complimentary, was very longer than it should take. There are two machines on the third floor and each can do washing and drying (which I don't think I've seen before). However, the wash took about 2 hours and then the drying took another 2 hours (and we still had to put more time in). - The room was a bit cramped near the entryway. The toilet area was also tight (although I did like the step up to the toilet area). - My room was situated above one of the restaurants. The street does get loud at night. Last night I had to go to the reception and report the noise at 1 AM. Overall, I like the KeSa House, and would stay here again. The fact that the KeSa is near Chinatown and MRT lines is a huge plus.FromUS$107.00

Considering the price paid, I don’t think that the suite is worth it. Our room stinks of durians and outdoor bathtub is almost unusable. There is no privacy at all and the drape is almost dropping off. Outdoor swing is also broken down. TV network is faulty and goes blank for a few seconds every once in awhile. Will not return. The hotel balcony is great for taking photos. Downstairs is a check-in spot. It is very close to Chinatown and Hainanese chicken rice. However, I think Maxwell Cooked Food Center is much better than Hainanese chicken rice, which is off topic. This place is very close to everywhere, and the transportation is convenient. You can see the cartoon wall on Chinatown Road downstairs. You can see the Yuhua Chinese products on the side. Some of the water is cheaper than the domestic price. The price is also suitable for buying many special products. . The young lady at the front desk was very nice and enthusiastic. When we left, she asked us if we would like to ask for a car. I checked in on 1st Jan 2021 Fri 3pm checked out 2nd Jan 2021 Sat 1030am 2D1N whole day been raining heavy since checked in till checked out next day did not really enjoy the bathtub out the courtyard.I hope not to get room 211 again prefer 212, 213 if they have the outdoor bathtub if the Loft hve bathtub is I don't mind too but I hope the Chiller can be more cooler as is not cold enough is very hot can feel it our drink is not cold. I would appreciate they can cover the outdoor in case heavy rain as I hve paid $309 for this room was abit too small when I checked in see the photos of the others room and look bigger & the shower room too & the toilet in the hotel room photos. I hope the hotel remember me when I book again on my Birthday Day in May 2021.I am looking to cme back on 8-9 May Sat & Sun & 15-16May Sat & Sun stay 2 different type of rooms again to celebrate my 54th Birthday this year since cant go oversea due to COVID19 till 2021.I like the Hotel outlook with very excellent distinguish interior design the hve especially the beautiful Leon Colours. I originally came to hotel 81 cozy as a stepping stone on my travels but due to circumstances I had to extend my stay for many weeks. The great staff here were happy to accommodate and were great, going the extra mile wheneven I needed their help. The rooms were serviced daily, are well kept and have all the ameneties you could reasonably expect from a budget hotel (TV, wardrobe, kettle, hairdryer, umbrella etc) and they even provdided an iron and ironing board when requested. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Hotel 81 Cosy to any person looking for a budget hotel in Singapore due to its great location and extremely helpful staff (Mizzy and William were always on hand to help in any situation). The area is extremely photogenic, it has fantastic restraunts and bars and the people are really friendly. Highly RecommendedFromUS$32.00

Hassle free and very pleasant check-in process. Hotel is just located above Outram MRT so no complains. Room is decently sized and reasonably clean, overall the vibe in the hotel feels good. Guess the only downside they don't have their own in-house kitchen so there's no room service and you have to order your own food delivery services.

The breakfast was very generous and it was quite an appetite for me. I could read a book at the bar in the evening.
No extra bed, the beds are bunk beds, how many people can set the size of the room is sufficient, this price is already very cost-effective in Singapore.
Good location, right in Chinatown, the signboard is a bit small, it takes time to find it for the first time.
The capsule room is similar to a youth hostel, but it is more fully equipped and personally thinks it is more comfortable than a youth hostel.
If you bring a child, you should try not to bring it if you are under 15 years old. It is really recommended not to bring a child under 12 years old. Everyone lives in a room. If there is noise, it will really affect the children. It's okay if your child is very obedient and quiet.FromUS$68.00

I stayed in a family room with 4 adults and a 5 year old. Let’s not beat around the bush....the room is tiny. Some of us had to wait outside the room whilst others were getting ready, with the 5 year old waiting on the bed.....BUT.....we were only staying on a stopover, so only had hand luggage(where we would have put our suitcases if we had them, I have no idea). We were out of the room as soon as we got there as we wanted to see as much of Singapore in the evening that we had there. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was pretty good. Towels, toothbrushes, shower gel all provided. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. Bottled water for everyone in the room too. Would I recommend this for a holiday in Singapore with the family? Probably not, but for a stopover it was fine (especially for the price for 5 people in Singapore).FromUS$38.00

The location is great. I stayed for two nights. The dormitory was a little small, and there are small lockers in the hallway. The lady at the reception was really nice. My room was located next to the shared bathrooms, and as soon as people started showering, we could hear every sound through the walls. Nice atmosphere. A last minute decision to book this unique little hotel for my wife and my staycation just before Chinese New Year and well I just say it didn’t disappoint. Not a five star hotel, of course, but the staff were courteous and detail in explanation and check in was a breeze, despite it being a Saturday afternoon. None of those long queues to check in problem. The staff was so helpful and was able to accommodate us in assisting us in storing some beverages. Very appreciative of their attention to details like these.
The hotel has a aroma of historical importance, being an older theatre. The rooms are just nice. Good aircon, bed is firm and pillow sufficiently supportive. The shampoo and body wash and hand wash provided were good. The balcony, to me, is the highlight of this hotel. I really enjoy sitting at the balcony drinking and eating and watching the world walks around beneath, enjoying the scene and listening to the cacophony of walking pavement buzz floating up from below. The atmosphere is gentle and beautiful.
The only issue I had was.. when we first stepped into the room, the toilet bowl was dirty inside. That was my only put off that I cannot forget. But otherwise it is good for the price. I will definitely be back again.FromUS$38.00

The two big one took a nap very spacious, very close to the subway entrance, you can quickly return to the hotel to rest after playing every day. Chinatown is just out of the subway exit, but meals are not recommended and the quality is expensive. Exit A from the subway exit and walk across the overpass in the opposite direction. It is a cheap snack restaurant, etc. We bought the delicious duck neck and ate rice noodles. The disadvantage of the hotel is that the room is small, the table is too small, and the toothbrush was only given for the first day, and it was not given at the back, which caused us to stay behind without toothpaste. Overall the price is ok. There is also a reminder that if we are traveling on our own, tickets for all attractions can be bought on Taobao. It is not cheaper than buying now. Although Singapore is a developed country, except for health, we do n’t feel that we are worse than him. Facilities and software are really convenient. p.s. Some taxis will refuse to pick up because they are too close. The domestic high German map is not easy to use! Apple's own map is easy to use. Due to travelling restrictions, my husband and I are confined to looking for staycation as our honeymoon after we got married this year. We had a really enjoyable stay in Shangri-la. We requested for earlier check-in at 12PM and was told that it will be subject to availability. When we arrive at the hotel at around 12PM, we were pleasantly surprised to be told that we are given a free upgrade to Valley Wing Deluxe Room and given access to the exclusive lounge with drinks, high tea and canapés available for us.
We had our dinner later on at Waterfall Restaurant which was part of the package that we bought on Trip.com. The 3-course meal that we had was really delicious with great atmosphere as we were seated outdoors at the pool side.
The service provided to us was impeccable. Perhaps the only small downside is the accessibility of the hotel if you don't drive. We pretty much stayed in the hotel during our entire trip so it wasnt really a big factor.
Would love to visit Shangri-la again in future :)

I booked for my fiancé's birthday and in lieu to celebrate New Years. Firstly, early check in was given as to prevent the crowd during the New Years Eve. Very smart move made by the hotel which I am very thankful for! It helps to control the crowd.
Trip.com has emailed me to WhatsApp the hotel as were told by the hotel to request for early check in. Replies by the hotel staffs were fast too!
After checking in, I called to reserve the pool but it was sad I could not go as it was raining! The room was rather small but that's fine by me! The shampoo and body wash given smells nice! I usually do not use hotel's shampoo/bodywash but this hotel's toiletries was quite nice! The view from the toiler was not bad too! You need to of course close the blind to have a private shower. Was given free macaroons delivered by the robots to my room as it was my fiancé's birthday! Super kind gesture made by the hotel staffs! We were super touched!
The next day, when I went down to pick up my breakfast as I choose to take away(can select to dine in or take away), the staff could not find my breakfast order as my breakfast order was misplaced by one of the staffs (the one I gave my order sheet to) But that's okay because I did not mind waiting for them to pack my food again.
I was also granted late check out!
Overall, pleasant stay! The team was all very friendly and approachable. Thank you!

Booked 3 rooms for family staycation. I would like to thank Ms Dillah and Mun kind assistance in arranging an earlier check-in for the 2 rooms. Front desk staff are all friendly and helpful.
The room is spacious and clean. Water pressure of the bathroom is good!
However, I was kind of disappointed that the club lounge did not open. Nevertheless, they do send food and drinks to our room at 6pm, and will refill our drink every 45mins. The lady that serve the drinks and the guy that serve the food was very nice and friendly. The food (chicken chop with truffle mash potatoe) is DELICIOUS, and the white wine (requested during 2nd serving) they offered is nice!!! But didn't had chance to ask what is the brand, as I left the room after 2nd serving. Not sure how long they serve the drink, I guess till 7:30pm?
Great location, so we can easily bring our parents to Haji lane to walk around and feel as though we are on vacation.
Ginger Restaurant decoration is lovely!!! But the breakfast serve at Ginger restaurant was pretty average to me... Wouldn't mind having as a package, but wouldn't pay the price for the kind of food serve. Service at the restaurant were much slower too as staff tend to look at the floor instead of the guest. But its CNY so I shall not comment much. But there's one aunty that serve food with big lovely smile. Its a petty that I didn't take note of her name.
Overall experience staying in Park Royal Hotel Beach Road is good! Would definitely recommend if you are looking at staycation situated at convenience location filled with hipster cafe and nice restaurant.

Actually requested for highest floor with amazing view but they didn’t fulfil my request. It’s okay, they also mention to make advance booking for swimming pool and so we did, but pool is fully booked, felt so disappointed. During check in we try our luck again for the pool, lucky there is last 3 slot of us. Around 7pm went swimming, but no one was there. (Wonder why they say it’s fully book) 😕 In the afternoon try to make booking for pool again, again they say fully book. We didn’t bother to go down to check.
Aside from that, we do appreciate the gifts that comes in the package that include late check out at 6pm, inclusive of breakfast and semi lunch buffet for 2 adults. Room was very spacious and clean. Overall we are happy with our stay there. Definitely we come again.

From booking communication through email, Aisyah was the best. Everything went smooth and all our requests was accommodated. Even the room upgrade. Thank you so much Aisyah! :)
Check in was smooth and Vin was really friendly and welcoming. As for the room (1015), it was almost perfect! Room was spacious enough for two and the view was AMAZING!!! Truly a panoramic view. Balcony was great, but it would have been better if there was a brighter light for lounging out during the evening.
Only improvement I guess would be some of the staff being more friendly specially by the pool and beach area. In other Shangri-la, guests would go directly to the beds and a staff will bring the towels and some water for refreshments. We did not experience this here in Rasa Sentosa. Not sure if this is because of covid. But it would still be great if the staff would in those areas be more welcoming and friendly.
Overall, had a great time and had a great birthday celebration. We would definitely come back for another quick getaway from the city. Thank you so much!

Beds were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff service was friendly and professional. After the 1st night, was woken up by drilling and hammering noises at 9 plus in the morning. Breakfast in room dining was ordered at 930am, arrived at 1150am as in doom dining department could not cope w the huge amount of orders. Was informed that our breakfast would arrive at 1130am. So first day, wasn't impressed w renovation noises that disrupted our sleep and a breakfast that was more of brunch. Did request for room change and was given another room. Air conditioning in the new room was not working well n had to request for a fan. Overall, the old building and maintenance of the hotel would place it as a 4 star hotel rather than a 5-star rating.
