I would recommend this lovingly preserved Templer house to anyone looking for a unique experience in Jerusalem. Our suite was sparkling clean, spacious and had an authentic ambience while having beautiful modern fixtures. The warmth of the hosts plus their offer of providing anything we requested was quite amazing. I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday when I ordered the suite and was surprised to find a freshly baked, delicious birthday cake in the refrigerator. The attention to detail and the generosity of the hosts by providing freshly home baked tehina cookies; a bowl with fruit; and a generous selection of coffees and teas made us feel at home. The breakfast was very tasty and served in the garden of fruit trees and cyclamens. I especially enjoyed the exhibit of the history of the house and the books of art, history and literature in our living room. The furniture was comfortable and there was a selection of pillows. I chose it for its excellent location and I would go back in a moment.

Great hotel, great choice for breakfast, refined and healthy. The rooms are also beautiful, with large stone buildings, typical of the Jerusalem style. The facilities are very new, 10 minutes walk from the Old City and 10 minutes from the Mamilla Shopping Center. It is especially convenient and worth living.

We booked one night and we decided to stay one more night because of the friendly staff working there. The rooms are small, but for a budget hotel everything was perfect. The Tv has a lot of channels, AC was working perfectly, although is hard to warm the room because of the very high distance till the ceiling, but was more than enough, very hot water in the shower, shampoo & shower gel as amenities. As we were celebrating the wedding anniversary , the staff offered us complimentary breakfast which was very nice and plenty of choices, from eggs till pancakes, and lots of salads. Many thanks to the best chef in Jerusalem, from Colony Hotel.Thank you for the nice meals and morning talking- it was because of you we decided to book one more night! The manager and all his staff at reception were so nice and helpful, they give you free map of the city and show you the area and what to visit. The hotel is walking distance till the Old City( 20 minutes walking) and very near to the bus station which takes you to the main station for Tel Aviv. Internet it was working very good, all the staff was speaking English.Comparing with the hotel we had in Tel Aviv, the Colony Hotel offers excellent service with a good price.I had everything that I would need for the price that I paid, if I wanted more comfort I would have paid more money. I need to mention that all day you can have free coffee and tea(I think is something normal in Israel, as we had the same in Tel Aviv, but is good to mention).Indeed you can hear your neighbors and everything on the corridor but this is because is an old hotel, everything is creaky :)) Thank you again The Colony Hotel and we hope to see you all again in our next trip to Israel!

Ten minutes from the old city of Jerusalem, it is very convenient to walk to Jaffa Gate and walk five minutes from the shopping street. Breakfast is very like, self-help, Chinese stomach is slightly sad, personal preference for Western food, eat every day, every day at 5-7 pm in the lobby there is tea and refreshment, the hotel's front desk is very good, every time the route is basically to ask them, Also helped us book a day trip to the Dead Sea, the overall is good, the service staff are also very polite.

the hotel is pretty, nice architecture and decor, but so inaccessible..! and worst than that- they believe they are accessible... (because asking the handicap to get off the wheelchair and go up a few stairs on his own because it's too hard to lift the wheelchair with him on it is totally accessible..............) you should note that if you're tall you'll hit your head a lot, as the doorways (as nice and curved as they may be) are very low. also- forget about sitting comfortably on the toilet seat, as the vanity blocks half of the toilet legroom (and keep in mind those are the "accessible" deluxe rooms). in these same rooms, you'll find that adding a bed for a third person blocks half the doorway, making it either impossible to pass with a wheelchair or impossible to get onto the double bed when having to push single bed into a diagonal position. food was ok, service was fine, location is great if you can walk (many stairs and weird old city stones that aren't too easy to walk on), there's no parking next to the hotel and they did not provide an extra toilet paper roll in the room... ohhh and the elevator...! the available floor buttons on the elevator are 0,1,2,3 (or was it -1, 0,1,2?) yet the elevator will stop on the floors: 0,3,4,5...?! so rooms 200+ are on floor #4, which in order to it you should press the button 2........ extremely confusing and not user friendly. it's an ok hotel for the old city, but honestly I would just not stay in the old city again...

For my birthday I decided to travel in Israel and the first days in Jerusalem. Normally I prefer hostel for prices and atmosphere, I checked the pictures, if have kitchen, ECC. I could imagine the hostel is good but when I arrived it was a real surprise because I felt home in a amazing town, good staff, nice cleaning and for the price (one of the cheapest in the town) this was incredible I can suggest with pleasure and if I will come back in Jerusalem I will look for this hostel again

we visited Jerusalem last week and we stayed at this hotel. First of all, the location is great. if you're looking for a hotel in the center - it's clearly the one. 3-4 min walking distance from Machne Yehuda Market and about 15-20 min from the old city. Trust me, you won't feel it at all. The room is very clean, the bed is comfy, the staff is super nice and welcoming and the breakfast is beyond our expectations. nothing missing. Just one note - the water coming out of the shower is pretty slow. I guess if we would have told them, they would have fixed it / change our room.

Our tour party of 19 stayed here for 6 nights because it was very close to the walls round Jerusalem. We were welcomed with a soft drink, which was very refreshing and a meal even though we didn't arrive until late in the evening. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and all the food was excellent. There was a wide range of enticing buffet dishes with enough variation to ensure that we didn't get fed up. The dining room gets a bit cramped when the hotel is full. There was traditional dancing as entertainment one evening during our stay. The hotel is a mid range hotel which offers reasonably priced accommodation without excessive luxury. We stayed in room 303 which was reasonably well equipped with an in-room safe, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and enough storage space and hangers. There were no bedside lights controlled by switches reachable from the bed which meant having to get out of bed to switch them off - not a major problem but a nuisance. Several of our party stayed in other rooms which had a separate shower. It may be that room 303 was on the list for refurbishment in the future. There is no iron or ironing board in the room, but an ironing service is available, presumably for a fee although I didn't check this. The reason why I've only awarded 4 stars is because every time we used the shower which was in the bath, water leaked down the side of the bath to soak the floor despite our careful arrangement of the shower curtain. The water was leaking from somewhere else. Despite reporting this to the front desk on 3 separate occasions, nothing was done. Judging by the water stained wooden architrave near the bath, we weren't the first people to have this problem.

No breakfast, there is pizza hut downstairs, if you have children, there is a sofa to sleep; the apartment is on the side of the night market, very lively, selling all kinds of crafts, restaurants, small shops and a street. Walk to Jaffa Gate for 20 minutes. I didn't see the parking lot because it was not a hotel, it was an apartment in a residential building.

The hotel arrived at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning, telling 2 o'clock to check in, leaving the luggage at the front desk and going to the old city until 2 o'clock before returning. It feels like a hotel in Hong Kong. The price of a small room is not cheap, but the conditions in the bathroom are not bad, similar to the two or three hundred in China. The ship was too soft and changed to more than 800. As a result, the bed was softer and I was speechless. When I left, my son’s bath towel and slippers fell in the room. I went back to the next day and said that I didn’t find it. I said that I found it and called me again. I can only do this!

We stayed 2 nights here. Pros: Rooms extremely modern and clean. Terrace is lovely. Excellent help from reception on places to eat, visit, go etc. She recommended a local food festival on our last night. Unlimited free tea, coffee, water etc with biscuits. City centre location, at tram stop and a short walk(10-15mins) to Old City. Cons Just one very small inconvenience. To access reception you must enter an access code to the building (texted to me in advance) but a key card is needed to access the lift. Receptionist told me that they're hoping to install an intercom. We did not have mobile coverage so had to get the shop next door to phone up and say we were there.

The hotel is located in the business district and parking around is difficult. Hotel guests' cars can be parked at the nearby Harmony Hotel parking lot. There are not many parking spaces there. It is an underground parking lot and can only park cars. We just arrived the other day and the front desk lady said that there was no place. The hotel is 10 minutes away from Jaffa Gate, we are walking to the old city. There are many restaurants around the hotel, the hotel breakfast is good, but there is no bread. The hotel has a free afternoon tea at 5-7 pm (happy hours), offering different biscuits, fruits and more. It seems that there are many Chinese people who go there. The word of mouth is good among the Chinese people, which is a bit exaggerated. The hotel is older and the facilities are rude, as it is noisy at night due to the city center. Israelis sleep very late at night

The owner of the property Roni and Adi are warming and amazing hostess. My mother and I stayed there for about 6 days the last month of January 2019 and they made us feel so comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. You can choose different types of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. I love the scramble eggs, fresh salad, bread, cheese, olive ae served every morning. They help us to arrange our tours and gave us directions on how to go travel around Jerusalem. Roni and Adi made me and my mother felt like we were home. They treat us so good, they kind and genuine good hearted people. The hotel is located in a nice residential neighborhood where you can find restaurants and food markets. The bus is 1 block distance from the hotel and in 10 minutes bus ride you get to the old city of Jerusalem. Also you can take the train I believe it’s 2 blocks away from the hotel. It’s close to the Western Wall, the Davidson Center, 10 minutes away in bus.

Staff nice, eager to answer all kinds of questions, help to book a minibus at Tel Aviv airport, 65 shekels per person, door-to-door service, breakfast is quite rich, all kinds of chess is great, coffee can also be taken with paper cups! recommend! ! ! This hotel is rated 4 stars everywhere. But the level of cleaning and the attitude of the staff at the reception, greatly reduces the level of this hotel. The only pluse of this hotel:located near the tram stop, stops 2-3 to the Old Town. Trams run frequently, excluding Friday evening and all Saturday afternoon. The room is not small, comfortable. The pool is open, not big inside the hotel yard. Internet/wi fi - very bad, with constant interruptions, surprisingly slow. Those who stay at this hotel for work should also count on a different kind of internet/wi fi . Those who like to watch TV in their free time cannot count on a variety of channels. It happens that today the channel works, tomorrow it is disconnected. The TV menu is in Arabic. Unfortunately, any request to the reception is ignored. This hotel has potential, but according to its current appearance - the price is too high, and the level of service, attitude towards the client and cleaning are understated. The floors are dirty, dirt and dust are visible in the corners. The bed in the room is almost comfortable, if it were not for 2 single beds connected together. As they explained to me, this is very important for guests, religious Jews: a married couple even sleeps separately, but in the same room. Sleeping on such a bed is not very comfortable. Bed linen and towels: some of them were already stained, poorly washed.

We stayed in Sergei Palace for two nights in a party of three families with Children at the ages of 5-7. In short it was an amazing experience and a very enjoyable one at that at very affordable rates. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and very well kept. The children had hours of fun running around, playing hide and seek and board games. When they made too much noise (and ohh they did…) the staff politely asked them to make less noise. They were really very kind and sweet to the kids. The breakfast which is served in the beautiful garden is an amazing experience. The good was mouthwatering and delicious, was served to the table, in handsome portions with a smile. It did require some patience when all the guests came in the same hour but we enjoyed the sit down so we did not mind. Breakfast included omelets, fried zucchini and eggplants, falafel, “shaksuka”, cheeses, local bagels and breads, spreads, juice and coffee. Everything was fresh and super tasty. The hotel is a short walking distance from Nachalat Shiva. The streets are beautifully decorated are there are musicians and other entertainers. The location is amazing, tons of coffee places, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Super super fun to go down and listen to open air music and just hang around. Jerusalem municipality really goes all out here during the summer nights. Lastly but not least, is the hotel’s lovely staff. Everybody were kind, extremely service oriented and very helpful. It made our stay so much more enjoyable. I want to extend a very warm thank you to Naseem, Salar and Anton who made our stay so excellent and made us feel so welcome. Reservations are made via whatsup. Very smooth and convenient. One minus is there is no wifi in the hotel. Additionally, travelling with kids, usually, we book hotels with pools, but in this case, honestly it was so special and gorgeous, the lack of pool and/or wife is completely overweighed by the pros.

This hotel is a hidden gem, its small, cozy, classy and amazingly decorated. Staff were super helpful and friendly. We stayed in a room on the third floor by the spa area. The room was small, only has a small window, which provided super quiet ambiance. Bathroom size was OK, it came with all toiletries and bathrobe. We used the SPA waiting chairs and sofa to work in our laptops. There is a Nespresso machine on the area and the outdoor terrace with reclining chairs and jacuzzi are in this floor. Breakfast menu is plenty and espectacular it is a feast of flavors and colors. Try all the dishes they offer, they are super special. Its the only meal they offer and no room service. They do prepare lunch boxes in case you have an early departure to a tour. The lobby area combines the entrance to the hotel and the dinning areas, decor is a combination of eclectic type but super cozy. Reception area is small but functional. They also have an outside terrace at the entrance which was not operating as it was cold. It is very close to Jaffa Street and the old city, a short walk to many restaurants and tourists areas. We combined our stay in this hotel with a weekend tour to Petra, they kept our luggage stored while we took smaller bags to our trip. Upon our return to Jerusalem we recovered our luggage and continued our stay at the Brown. The manager chatted with us, he followed up and ask about our stay. We highly recommend this hotel

We stayed in this small hotel for 3 nights in November. There isn't a 24hour reception but the instructions about how to arrive after hours were very clear and very straightforward. The rooms are standard but nice. The wi-fi was free and excellent. There is a fridge, kettle, and a coffee maker in the room. Bottled water was provided on the first day only. The hotel was quiet. Loreen, the lady who works on the reception, was great. Very patient and answered all my endless questions. She also brought treats (chocolate chip cookies and croissants) one morning. :) Location - excellent. Only a couple of minutes from the main Jaffa Street and about 10 minutes walk to the Old City Jaffa Gate. There are trams on Jaffa Street that take you to the train/bus station (only 4 stops away). This is not one of the more famous luxury hotels in Jerusalem. However, it is certainly one of the best values of any of the Jerusalem hotels. There is no hotel with a better location. It is a few steps from the hubs of Jerusalem and countrywide public transportation. It is near the Ben Yehuda Shuk with all of its accompanying color and restaurants. Multiple banks and eateries are also near its front door. Yet, it is in its own peaceful courtyard. And, it has something that is very rare for an urban hotel; ample, convenient and free parking. Maybe its best feature is its very friendly, warm and helpful staff.

The staff were very polite and it was never a problem if you requested a service. The room was cleaned early and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The only thing I would be aware of is the laundry service. I literally has a bag with whites and blacks and the whites were washed with the blacks and now they are a dirty white which is disappointing as they were expensive sports clothes. Maybe I had to be specific about washing them separately. Overall a homely place to be at and would stay there again.
