We found this B&B just by looking on the map for a location to stay in Namur, away from the downtown, but close enough to walk. We couldn’t have been any happier we chose Villa Balat! Muriel is a charming, helpful, attentive host. Her villa is comfortable, her breakfasts amazing, but best of all she really cares about the comfort of her guests. If you find yourself in this part of Belgium, Namur is a lovely city with a surprising number of Michelin rated restaurants, and Villa Balat is the place to stay. Thank you Muriel!

Par un concours de circonstances totalement improbables, je me suis retrouvé dans l’obligation de trouver un logis dans la pittoresque mais attractive ville de Namur, pour la nuit. Il était 19h par une froide soirée de Janvier, je me résolvais déjà à dormir sous un pont tant réserver une chambre pour cette heure là me semblait difficile. Et je suis tombé sur une annonce d’un site concurrent, qui me proposait BED in Namur. J’ai pris mes dispositions et en moins de 30 minutes j’avais un endroit où dormir. Cet organisme propose une chambre à lit de deux personnes, salle de bain privative, télévision et machine à café pour un tarif de 73 euros TTC. Il y a même une cuisine commune avec tout le nécessaire de préparation. La literie s’est trouvé d’un confort et d’une qualité digne de certains hôtels à très haut standing où j’ai eu la chance de séjourner. La télévision propose un bouquet que je suppose être de base mais avec un catalogue de 47 chaînes tout de même. Les rideaux sont opaques, la douche bien chaude et très propre, les toilettes PAR-FAITEMENT lavées et le matériel en général est de bonne facture. L’endroit est d’ailleurs situé dans un cadre qui n’est pas sans rappeler les rues d’une certaine « Venise du Nord » . Pour ce prix et les services qui en découlent, je pense que BED est une alternative défiant toutes les concurrences type IBIS et BNB.

I presented myself with a valid hotel reservation via Wallonie Pass and the Accor website and tried to check in at the reception. The receptionist did not accept the Wallonie Pass as means of payment although it is clearly stated on the website. I quote the receptionist ‘I am not familiar with how to process your booking therefore I will not accept you’. On my request to call a manager, or anybody responsible, replied ‘it is not my problem, I am just a front desk employee,next please’, and he ignored me completely. I called Accor Reservations and Wallonie Pass, where I got from both sides confirmation that I should be accepted. Upon asking him to listen to Accor on my phone’s speaker, he turned his eyes away and left the front desk. I decided to stay in a more welcoming environment in another hotel acceptong the Pass Being a travel industry professional on a private trip, this behaviour is unacceptable, and I will review my company’s travel policy to avoid Accor where possible

Very good reception staff, clean comfortable room, nice breakfast. It is opposite the train station but still nice and quiet. Convenient location. Namur is doing a lot of work to attract tourist such as improving the ' delta'area where the rivers meet, there's also the Citadel , cable car, plenty of bars etc. Station carpark is euro25 per night but the hotel has a special rate of euro 10. We enjoyed it - despite the junkies around the car park entrance

I was looking for a Hotel close to the station, and i decided to give the B&B chain ago as i had not used them before. The Hotel is about 3 minutes walk from Namur station, caution they are undertaking alot of road works so the path is a little uneven. I was welcomed when i walked into the Hotel and checkin was very easy. The hotel use a code method for room access which is more environmental friendly than the plastic cards. The Hotel is very new and the interior is perfect and very clean, my room was on the 1st floor and the room was quiet and had a nice big shower. My sleep was perfect on the 2 evenings i stayed, Breakfast is very good with a hot and cold option and they have tea / coffee is always available. As a bonus if you dont need room service if you are staying for more than 1 day you get a free €5 voucher to use at the bar. I enjoyed my stay and i would certainly use again for future stays.

Situated at the base of Citadel, the hotel had free parking space. We booked a king room with a bathtub that included. Unfortunately, the water pressure in the bathroom was insufficient, resulting in a limited flow that made the shower experience uncomfortable. Otherwise the room is spacious, with complimentary coffee machine and coffee capsules, check-in and check-out services are efficient. A good stop-over hotel, I would recommend.

The bed installed for my daughter was harder than a board ,a the Conciergerie (which are not very nice in this respect)it was told me that he had nothing else as a result my daughter slept in our bed. as permanent background noise you will have the The hotel is a hotel school and the hotel is a hotel school. Bonjour, Je suis dans l'obligation d'écrire ce mail de doléances suite à mon séjour dans votre établissement du 21 au 22 Janvier avec mon épouse Déborah Souffir. En effet pour un 4 étoiles le résultat est plus que décevant. Je m'explique: machine à café qui ne rend rien à cause de capsule générique Nescafé, du coup on a compté, il faut appuyer plus de 10 fois pour remplir sa tasse, sans parler des capsules ridicules de lait et pourquoi pas de sachet de thé? Sans parler du fait qu'il y a qu'une petite bouteille d'eau pour deux personnes, là on a dépassé le stade des économies de bouts de chandelle... Plus grave personne à la réception pour demander d'autres capsules de café idem le soir même personne qui répond au téléphone, y a t'il un pilote dans l'avion? MAIS plus grave encore le BRUIT! On était dans la chambre 101, où entre le bruit des bolides mais surtout le fait de pouvoir entendre les conversations des gens dans la rue MALGRE les bouts de Quies heureusement fournis par l'hôtel!!! Le vis à vis avec les passants c'est une chose, on baisse le store et basta mais le bruit!!! On était debout depuis 4 heures du matin à Lille et on avait terminé notre longue journée/ RDV d'affaires qu'après 20 heures, je reconnais qu'en temps normal j'aurais demandé à changer de chambre mais ce soir là on était HS, de toute façon comme toujours personne à la réception? Le matin on a vite arrêté de regarder les infos sur la TV car cette dernière tanguait de 20° environ, c'est à dire comme le Titanic une heure après l'impact avec l'iceberg, j'ai pas osé la toucher de peur qu'elle tombe et que la faute nous incombe. Le matin lors du checkout, question habituelle du monde de l'hôtellerie ”comment s'est déroulé votre séjour etc? (PS J'ai travaillé deux ans lorsque étudiant dans un vrai 4 étoiles à Paris, hôtel Ampère, 17 eme arrondissement) et j'explique environ la moitié des éléments de ce mail. La réaction de la réceptionniste fût on peut plus apathique, le néant, néanmoins suivie d'une phrase ”collector” , ”Vous êtes sûrs d'avoir fermé les fenêtres?”... Non je suis bête il fait en dessous de zéro, comme je suis bête! En tout cela a eu le mérite de faire rire mes amis belges à l'OTAN/Bruxelles... Dernière cerise sur les boulettes de Liège, nous avions laissé nos valises à la réception (ordinateur à l'intérieur avec données sensibles, les vêtements à la rigueur c'est pas grave) pour les chercher vers 18 heures au plus tard, comme indiqué à la réception... Et bien je dois dire que je n'avais pas anticipé cette dernière, en effet nos deux petites valises étaient placées en évidence, peut-être de bonne volonté, à côté du comptoir de la réception!!! Pour faire simple, malgré les caméras, il suffit d'entrer dans l'hôtel et partir avec... c'est d'ailleurs ce que l'on a fait! On a commencé à attendre à la réception, à tel point qu'un monsieur avec un très beau costume trois pièces nous demande si on attend toujours notre chambre lol, clairement un futur client à conquérir.

This hotel is the best and most spacious Ibis hotel I’ve been to. The decor is stylish and chic with well thought out amenities. Nice big room with comfortable beds and views. Breakfast buffet was simple but nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. My family and I are extremely happy with this hotel, I wish I’ve booked here for more than two nights.
