|0.25km from city centerThe hotel was located right in the center of Bergen.
Although there was reception staff we had to pick up the hotel key in a box another time (went well but was a bit strange I think).
In the hallway itself there was a slightly strange smell. But the room itself was perfectly fine.
There is a lot to do in the center of Bergen if you want it. Lots of dining areas / bars etc.
We did not get breakfast there due to. we woke up today (May 17), which in Norway is considered a Sunday. Then they did not have breakfast there. So we had to take another place.
What was minus it was that they did NOT have luggage storage there. So there the hotel has something they need to fix right away.

|0.33km from city centerI have not had the opportunity to stay in this hotel booked through trip .com: I contacted them this morning to get information about the size of the bed in the room and the operator who answered me did not find my reservation even though I communicated the number booking form and my name and surname I informed her that I would cancel the reservation as I could not risk arriving in Bergen and finding myself without accommodation and she told me to do so and make a new reservation through Booking.com Too bad that on Booking the price was exactly double: perhaps they wanted to sell the room at a higher price to the detriment of the customer I would say bad

|1.92km from city centerWe stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Self check-in/out. Min human interaction. Location is not bad. Near the Skyss stop. There's a supermarket across the building. A bit further there's a Rema 1000. The room is small. Two sides of the bed are agaisnt the wall. There are about 80cm space between the bed and each sides of the walls. There is a long table along the wall on one side and a puff. This really crowds the room. Don't bring big luggage here, there is not enough space. No TV. The window cannot be opened. The bathroom is a nice surprise. It is spacious, as big as the bedroom area, with heated floor. The common room is quite spacious, right next to the restaurant. The restaurant downstairs is quite busy. Breakfast is available for extra fee. You can find microwave, fridge, kettle, and paper utensils in the common room. Coffee vending machine is also here. Overall this is a good budget hotel, good value hotel.

The hotel is not even 2 minutes from arrival. With the tram you get every 10 minutes for just 3.90 euros per journey to the city centre. Please return immediately. Mountain is great!

|0.12km from city centerThe room is large. One room and one living room, cooking and sofa in the hall, sleeping in the room. There is a refrigerator oven pot kitchenware. Breakfast can be ordered, but expensive, it is better to go to 7-11 to buy croissants, weekend specials 10 kronor, usually 15 krona. The apartment is very good, coming from the airport, taking the light rail to the byparken station as long as 39 or 33, much cheaper than the airport bus, to byparken a few hundred meters. Going to other attractions in Bergen, you can walk very close to the fish market, Bryggen, and Florentine. The Bergen train station, which is a miniature of Norway, feels like walking for ten minutes. There is a supermarket nearby, you can go to rema from Monday to Saturday, and there is a supermarket on the weekend. You can ask the front desk. You can cook your own food at the supermarket.

|0.4km from city centerThe service at this hotel is topnotch. We ended up staying in one of the cheaper rooms which was on the smaller side of things, but everything was a great experience. Everyone has mentioned the great breakfast (and it is), but they also have fantastic comfortable beds, Chromecast, wifi, and very clean bedrooms/bathrooms. Again, I'd like to commend the service again. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, packed an early morning breakfast for us when we were going to leave early, and had recommendations on the best things to do (and how to save a couple of bucks if needed). Location is fantastic! You are a very short walk from the fish market and the tourist area. Additionally, there is a grocery store right across the street (eating out in Norway can be pricey) along with a small shopping center about a block away. The funicular to the top of the surrounding mountains is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. If you're looking for affordable bites to eat there is a gyro cafe not far from there and a great Burmese restaurant. If you're trying to get there from the airport, it will cost you between $50-$70 via taxi (approx. 25 mins) or $8-10 via train (approx. 45 - 55 mins from what I could tell). The buses in town and the surrounding areas are clean, very timely, and easy to use. However, you'll want to have downloaded the app ahead of time to make using them easier.

|0.36km from city centerStayed when: August 2022 - 5 nights, party of 4 (booked a corner suite which comprised 2 rooms with a common entrance) Location: Excellent; key areas/attractions were walking distance (10 minute walk from train station) Rooms: The first room was large whereas the 2nd room was quite small. Not sure if the bed in the 2nd room would qualify as a double bed. The rooms are nicely done up. Breakfast: Good breakfast. However hot beverages such as cappuccino etc not part of the breakfast package. Have to be paid for separately. Not an issue but found it strange/petty for a hotel like this. Gym: Small but functional. Gives the impression that not much thought has gone into it. Two issues - first was lack of ventilation and second was no drinking water available Service: While the staff was polite and helpful, we faced some service issues. The lock on the main door to the corner suite (leading up to the 2 rooms) was not working. Despite requesting the reception staff several times to have it fixed, the problem was not solved. In the end, we gave up and just kept the doors to the two rooms locked (which somewhat defeated the objective of getting a corner suite). Also, were surprised to see the rooms hadn’t been cleaned one day. Found out the rooms are not serviced daily unless one puts up the room service sign on the door. We should have been informed of this at the time of check-in. Other: We had the windows open for ventilation during the night. As a result, our sleep was disturbed all the nights because of noise from outside (saw lots of college students all over Bergen who would be partying late into the night / early morning). Overall: Nice, charming hotel. While we had no major complaints, unlikely we will consider this hotel again because of the above service/small issues.

|0.27km from city centerI chose Scandic because I have had good experiences in the past. However, this stay has been quite horrible. After a long journey to the North Cape and back again, it was important for me to get a good night's sleep before the journey home to Denmark. Already when I/we checked in, many young people arrived with full plastic bags with clinking bottles and large speakers in tow. I wondered, but thought maybe they should go ahead and have a party. I was completely wrong there. The party was held at the Scandic hotel from early evening to early morning. There was running in the corridors, shouting and screaming, banging on pipes, doors slamming continuously, and there was partying and noise that only really drunk people can make. I and others contacted reception who unfortunately could not deal with them. I also think that one or two receptionists cannot handle 20 maybe 25 very drunk young people. In the morning told the young female receptionist that when they complained about a room, the party just moved to a new room. She was very kind and apologized many times. Friendly and sweet service. Immediately, I think that the police should have been called if the party didn't stop. Me and my 2 fellow travelers were refunded DKK 400 for our rooms... But honestly, I think it would have been appropriate to give us the full amount back. Never before have I had such an experience in a hotel.

|0.07km from city centerThis is the first time I write a review while still being a guest at the hotel, lets start with the good things. The hotel has an excellent location, nice and newly renovated rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was fine and had good variety as well. However, the upsetting part is that the bad things exceed the good ones. The hotel has a very loud bar/club on the ground floor and plays loud music even on weekdays until late at night, the loud music can be heard in the room. The bed isn’t comfortable, the one I had was used a lot probably and had an inside curve in the middle. The room service menu says that it’s available until 11 pm. However, if you try calling them after 10 pm nobody answers as the kitchen closes at 10 pm but its not written anywhere. They also charge for getting you tap water!! The reception desk, although they say its a 24hours desk, they wouldn’t pick up the phone if you call them after 10 pm. Once I asked for a fork at 10:15 pm the receptionist had to check if room service team would accept as the kitchen had already closed. And had to call the reception twice to get hold of them. The parking garage is operated by a third party, its very small and has probably spaces for 20-25 cars. So most probably it always full, in my case, the hotel staff asked me to go park my car in another public parking garage and walk back to the hotel. The housekeeping team doesn’t clean the room properly, I had hair in the bathroom and the shower drainage is blocked. I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, this night is my last and I keep getting disappointed every night. I think the hotel has to offer better services and quality. You even have to greet the receptionist as they would answer by hello rather than “good evening” or “how can we help?” But that’s not important anyways. For the price I paid, I expected much better services from this hotel. I would definitely come back to Bergen, but never to this hotel, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Its not a 5 star hotel according to the global standards. I wouldn’t even give it 3 stars.

|11.09km from city centerStayed for a weekend at this hotel with my family. My wife, myself and a 2 year-old. First impression was excellent. Nice standard, spacy rooms, well equipped, and so on. Nothing to complain about regarding the room standard. Breakfast was also fine, plenty of things to choose between. It was only when we returned the next night our complaints arose. We arrived by car in the hotel garage, with a sleeping child. Already in the garage we heard the noise from the party/event upstairs. The only route from the garage to the hotel rooms was to make our way through the bar and the ongoing party. That is poor planning of infrastructure in my opinion. Of course our sleeping child awoke to the excess loudness of the music, and we had to «snake our way» through the crowd of loud and drunk people. We eventually made our way to the room, and even though it was situated at the third floor, the noise was ever present in our room (our room was even facing outward, not toward the core of the hotel). Don’t know if that’s because of ventilation or because of the architecture of the building (which leaves the roof open over the reception/bar area all the way up to the top floor). So even though a lot of things at this hotel is done adequately, this second night experience (and thereof lack of sleep) ruined our stay. We certainly feel that it was not worth the money, and wouldn’t recommend it to families (at least not when the hotel is having events / during weekends). (In all fairness: we didn’t make a formal complaint to the reception as it was not an option to opt for a new room (arrived late, and packing and moving with a tired toddler is not optimal). And neither did we see any chance of the hotel shutting down an event due to a single complaining customer.)

|0.5km from city centerThis hotel does exactly what you expect it to and well. Its location on the harbour wall right opposite the Bryggen is hard to beat. The building is old and draws a lot of character from that compared to some the more antiseptic new hotels. It's very well maintained and modern inside. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was just outstanding, in its variety and quality with lots of healthy options. One caveat is that we had originally booked a standard room though Hurtigruten which although perfectly decent had no view and was a bit dark so we upgraded and got what turned out to be a superb room. Obviously this enhanced our experience but even without, the hotel is a lovely place to stay.

|0.55km from city centerVery well situated near the Fish Market and city center. There are stores and restaurants behind the hotel as well as a grocery store just down the road. Not modern but has most of the things you need in the room and bathroom. Bring ear plugs and an eye mask if you're a light sleeper since it's close to the wharf and a busy street. Our airline lost our luggage so we had no clothes for 5 days. The free washer/dryer on the 4th floor saved us! The hotel has nice touches like free tea/coffee in a side lobby area, as well as a small wine/beer bar at reception (not the Altona bar next door). The breakfast is pretty great and even has vegan options (mostly carbs). The staff is attentive and helpful. If you're looking for somewhere economical and close to the city center, I recommend this place.

|0.35km from city centerThings are different! We found a two bed room is really more like a room with a king bed. Well, OK, but not what we expected. The room was quite small, but worked pretty well. There is a metal frame that serves as a place to hang clothing, several shelves so you can put clothing out, but no drawer storage. There was a TV, you could make coffee/tea in the room (if you wanted). Biggest surprise: the bathroom was fully suitable for an RV. I could touch wall to wall with my outstretched arms. The shower was the size of half a phone booth. The sink was about 10X14 inches. Tiny, but it worked. The room was overlooking the Bergen Visitor Info Center and Fish Market. One night there were a lot of revelers. Otherwise it was quiet. Breakfast was a buffet, with some hot items, and the usual cold cuts, cheese, breads. Some fruit. The coffee machines are fine when they work, but it seems that guests are pretty hard on them and they were not always available. We were joining a cruise, but at the last minute learned we had to delay our arrival several hours due to harbor congestion. We spent the extra time, with our luggage and kindles in the hotel's small lobby. The staff made us welcome, and assisted us with a taxi when we were finally able to depart.

|0.13km from city centerI recently enjoyed a 3-night stay at Hotel No.13 in Bergen. While my room lacked windows, it was comfortable and cleaned daily, making it a pleasant place to return to after a day of travel. The absence of a window didn't bother me much, as I spent most of my time exploring the city. The check-in and check-out staff were notably friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience. The daily breakfast included in my rate was basic.
What truly stands out is the hotel's convenient location which is near Byparken Station and walkable distance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen one of the most popular tourist attractions in Norway. It is a historic wharf with colorful wooden houses dating back to the 14th century.

Farm is in a nice secluded place, surrounded by mountains and has a lake in front of it. Stunning scenery! Can get really quiet and peaceful at night. Farm itself is really charismatic and well decorated inside. Having a modern look whilst retaining a farm feeling. There are some animals at the farm with which you can interact with. Some you can even see through a window in the reception/communal area. Rooms are cosy, comfortable and offer a great view of the mountains. There's a sauna which can be accessed at any time and a kitchen area if you want to cook your own meals.

|0.75km from city centerThe historic building has some quirks but they were more than made up for by the very friendly staff. For example, one of our family rooms had a key card door opener that was faulty, so a staff member had to always open their door. Also, the very deep bathtub / shower may be hard for some people to safely step into, but we found the grab bars made this ok. The breakfast, mid afternoon waffles, and dinner were all good. The dinner had plenty of choices of a soup, salad fixings, bread, so this was nice on a rainy night when we decided not to venture out to dinner. The hotel is very attractive with an opulent feel, and the location, right at a corner of the Bryggen area, can’t be beat. On a rainy afternoon we could just go a few steps across the square th a good Museum of the Bryggen, which was very interesting. Our three boys ages 11 to 14 enjoyed this museum.

Remember the appearance of the hotel. When we were looking for the hotel with our luggage on the first day, we passed by the hotel several times and thought it was a Japanese restaurant because the hotel sign at the door was too small. And when I booked the hotel a month ago, there were no photos of the hotel's appearance on Ctrip because the hotel was under renovation.

|0.65km from city centerWas greeted by a very nice receptionist when I checked in. He saw that I was a member of their chain and offered me the benefits it provides. Then gave the information I needed and explained the way to the elevator. All with kindness and a big smile. It gave a very good start to a good stay. Asked at check in for room with view and high up. I got it in room 616 which had a balcony. I think most rooms do not have a balcony or that view. So a tip is to ask and if they are available, you will get enough. The room was clean. And that's the most important thing for me. Not very big and the bathroom was even smaller. But it is more than enough for two people visiting this city. Even though the room is clean, it appears to be somewhat worn over time. You can see it on the scraped panel stove, scraper and other things on the walls, the bedding has some smaller holes and is worn (but comfortable to sleep in). When there are better times for the hotel industry, it would not cost much to raise the standard a little. Breakfast has everything you need, but does not appear very exciting. You can see there are some measures taken that raise it from basic, and there is a lot of staff at work. But it's a long way up to the city's best breakfast and there is constantly empty for some products during the breakfast. Then it is important to know that the Comfort hotels at Nordic Choice Hotels are the most affordable. I have often stayed in Quality hotels in the past and the standard is one notch or two up. So for what you pay here for the rooms with breakfast it is very good value! And the very best value here is those who work here. Whether it is night guards, cleaners or others. There are always positive answers if you want something. And accompanying smile. Otherwise there is a bar here if you wish. And from Bybanen it may be around 10-15 minutes to walk. So it is centrally located in Bergen. Can definitely recommend this hotel for the price against the standard one gets.

The location is great( and we're so glad we did not opt for one closer to the station) for all the main sights. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choices and everything looking fresh and well presented. Our room ( 2 single beds )was maybe a little restricted re bed size and sides but the room was light and airy, with a fantastic bathroom esp the shower. The a/c was efficient so you could sleep with windows shut and so eliminate any street noise. We requested 2 extra pillows to the 2 provided and this were quickly produced. Storage for luggage after check out was helpful The real strength of this hotel is the staff- we met Kiki and Sureen(spelling?) on reception/bar- friendly , efficient and professional- a real asset to the place.
