This hotel is great, recently remodelled. Clean and stylish, I stayed in the room all the way on the top floor and it had a nice sitting area with a cove for the bed area making the room specious yet cozy. It was nice to have space to work, sit and relax that was not the bed. It has the biggest breakfast selection and I travel a lot. It is reasonably priced and with in walking distance to restaurants and cafes. There is a lovely Greek place, Taverne Bei Nico, 5 minute walk away. The service is excellent, they walked me out to show me where the garage is and when my travel company only booked me for 1 night instead of 3, they went out of their way to rearrange rooms to let me keep mine. They packed up my belongings nicely separating shoes, toiletries and close and even putting wet shampoo bottles into a separate bag. Let’s just say, I did not expect that I was only booked for one night and did not pack or check out. Another benefit, their WiFi does not slow to a crawling speed at 10 pm because everyone is on it and as a business traveler, it is a big deal.

Were here couple months ago and probably the only one in the hotel as we met no one the entire stay. Receptionist fine but bit bored. Rooms clean and tidy. For one night stay alright I'd say. This visit was bit worse. We had room with very noisy door, close to loud lift and next to quite loud neighbours. Not to mention there was one car on the carpark so I dont understand why they're placed right next to our room where was 5mnts old baby. The walls are made of paper. You could hear even a toilet splash like it's right in your own room. Not talking about a bath run at midnight. Well bad luck I guess. Overall fine although there are not even water glasses or cups or anything you could use in your room. Lastly I couldn't understand when buying drinks in reception, you have the card payment done and then they ask you to hand them your card again so they can write down all your cards details. Never seen such a thing and specially these days with all the privacy policies..

I stayed here with my son and a mate whilst attending a Borussia Dortmund fixture. The Ibis Styles is a clean comfortable no thrills hotel that is ideal for a short stay. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel has a decent bar that stays open late. Breakfast was included as well, and was a self service continental type. Only slight snag is that it is a little way from the City centre, but is reachable by local train and a ten minute walk. Highly recommended .

For me this hotel is perfect. It has everything I need on a business trip and is situated at the same road as my business destination. It could have some more home-feeling elements. It is now (and over the years) very straight forward and a bit "clinical".

The Home Hotel is a good hotel in Dortmund, offering rooms with reasonable prices. The hotel is located within 20-30 min car drive from the airport (depending on the traffic). I and my wife stayed for one night only due to very early morning flight back to Poland. If you have a car rented, is preferable to park your car on the street near the hotel or across the street near the Croatian restaurant (BTW offering excellent food at a reasonable price). The room and the bathroom was small and not equipped with any toiletries, but very clean. The hotel's reception does not work at night, but you are provided with the key and informed how to enter the hotel and then your room. There is nobody in the reception from 2200 until 0600 hrs but you are provided with an emergency number. We did not try the breakfast since our flight was early morning, so we left the hotel before reception / kitchen was opened. We just left the key in the key box and left the hotel. The price for the room we paid was approx. 70 Euro per night (+ breakfast 6.90 E pp). I can highly recommend this hotel for short stay and it will take you approx. 30 min to reach the airport.

Reasonable. Receptionist looked miserable on arrival. No lifts in the property so obviously had to use the stairs. Rooms were quite small, no air conditioning or fans and so the windows had to remain open. The main street was very noisy and so found it difficult to sleep. Coffee machine in each room, but you have to pay 1 euro per pod and use a plastic cup. Shower and toilet had sliding doors that could be seen through, also gaps either side, so using the toilet especially wasn't ideal. TV was of a good size and the breakfast was reasonable. Quite a good location, around 15 minutes walk from the city centre. As a whole, OK. Wouldn't choose to stay there again.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in the past year and will do again in the future. The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Dortmund with the town centre on the doorstep and Westfalenstadion just a twenty minute walk up the road. The rooms are genuinely spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels left. The rooms do get warm but open the window slightly and problem solved. The communal areas are also kept spotless, the decor of the hotel is a bit funky and you will either love or hate it. The aquariums within the lobby look ok however if you are relaxing in the evening it is lovely to sit in that area of the ground floor. For the price of this hotel it really is brilliant however do not ever drink the bottled water as it is disgustingly over priced but most European hotels are guilty of this. The reception staff are always happy to help and speak perfect English, they will happily hold your bags for you if you check out and have a while to wait for a flight etc. Attached to the hotel is a Pfefferkorn which I demand you try the ‘Happy Day’ main course. Whilst not actually part of the hotel this does add to the experience. The hotel loses a star for having loud guests on each of my visits, they do not seem to be asked to keep the noise down regardless of how often you ask reception. With this in mind though it’s possible that I was just unlucky with the dates I stayed. If you are visiting the city I fully recommend you stay here, maybe you can buy me a beer and sit amongst the aquariums too.

Well, we stayed there to have a place on walking distance to the Signal Iduna Park. And yes, the location is simply perfect when you want to watch a BVB game. Another positive: the staff at the reception desk was truly friendly and very helpful indeed. The rooms however would require a renewal, a modern touch. Beds are comfortable, but the design, furniture and colours are simply not up-to-date anymore, and the bathroom is very tiny. Price is too high for what you get, probably especially on Bundesliga weekends and considering that (at the moment) you share a view to a construction site (at least windows are good, you don't hear anything). It feels a bit like staying at a "cash cow" of a hotel chain.

We recently stayed for 3 nights with our dog to attend a national dog show. The venue was so close, we left our car parked and walked each day. The service team there are excellent and we loved our room, food and location. The chefs in the kitchen are amazing, with everything from steaks and shrimp grilled to order ( in a buffet!) to the fantastic breakfast with such variety, served including Buck’s Fizz! Fresh pasta, again cooked to order and the fresh honeycomb was tasty AND breathtaking. Two cautions.....you WILL put on weight, and it is not a budget hotel cost wise, but for us perfect. Thank you to all the team, our compliments and thanks.

I stayed for four nights in a one bedroom apartment and it was perfect for what i required. The room was clean, bright and nicely furnished. My room was facing the courtyard so it wasnt too noisy at night. The location is great as you are both near the city centre and the main train station. Will definitely consider coming back next time i'm in dortmund.

Right in the centre, the hotel is the top few floors of an office block. Access by lift from the street, though the lock at the door to the entrance had been ripped off which made it feel slightly tacky. Room was fine, like some of the other smaller Mercure's in Germany it felt slightly austere (walls echoey) and not very homely. There is a small bar, but no evening meals (other than things from the freezer). Everything was clean and the breakfast was fine. Good point to note: I noted that some DB staff stay there on lodging turns, so sign that its reasonably consistent quality. The other Mercure in Dortmund centre has better facilities... but higher rates.

After watching the Dortmund game, I stayed in the single room here. The rest of the lounge is full of fans. Haha, there is a Western breakfast. The location is very good. It is a pedestrian street. It is great.

Stayed here for one night and the service was fantastic. Check in staff were very friendly and were bilingual, we had a good chat in English and German while I was checking in. The room was really nice and very premium. Location was fantastic and an easy walk from Dortmund Hbf/City Centre. It's very close to the Westfalenstadion as well as the rest of the Westfalenpark. My room cost €80 for one night, which was a little pricey, but still very nice so it was a good treat to come back to after exploring the city.
