this hotel is very close to taxim square. Breakfast restuarant is clean, comfy with many items to eat. We enjoyed early breakfast everyday at 7:30. Reception guys welcomed us with turkish coffee and sweets because we had to wait to have our agancy send the money-there were some financial problems for bank accounts in turkey due to 26th september earthquake which forced us to wait until verifying our payment- so as our room will be ready. My room was No. 1024 which had a double bed. the room was big enough to put your luggages and have rest. My room had a window to the street and other hotels:) Sheets and bathroom were so clean. Bed Air condition worked properly and taking shower with hot water was satisfying:) however, my friend's room was No. 1035 which was smaller than mine but everything was so clean and satisfying. I really suggest this hotel to visitors and families in istanbul since I enjoyed the great location which was near to istiklal, metro station and taxim square, and loved the breakfast and my room too.

The location was good and the room size was not bad. It was nice to have a welcome drink and fruit There is a swimming pool and sauna in the basement, but it is an error that you can use it for a fee. This is the first time I've been to a hotel and it's the first time I've seen a hotel pool sauna run for Euros. And it's indoors and closes at 8pm. Breakfast is not like a buffet, but like a side dish, but Kosi soup is very hygienic.

Good location, hotel decoration is also possible, the staff is more enthusiastic, put a tip to clean the staff did not take, the need to spit is his shower, the water is particularly slow, simply do not dare to take a bath for a long time, only half a shower, every two minutes Stop the water. Bathing is particularly uncomfortable. On the last day of the trip, there was a long-haired beauty at the front desk, and I turned my eyes, huh, huh, except for these two other things are very good.

We have had a 3 night stay in this hotel and for the most part it’s been lovely....we found the breakfast to have massive choice and it’s extremely clean and modern. Some of the staff are a little rude but most of them have been lovely. We only found one down side which is the building work happening next door....whilst this isn’t the hotel fault I was strongly suggest you check it has finished before booking your stay. It is only massively noisy between 8 and 5 so it’s not unreasonable times but if you have children that need sleep in the daytime I would strongly avoid it!! Apart from that it’s been a great place to stay.

This is the transit hotel ordered on the last day of Istanbul. But I later regretted it. . . I haven't lived in this hotel for a few more days. . The front desk is quite friendly. Excellent location. It is only five minutes from Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. The same direction to the airport bus is only about five minutes. The room was large and clean, there was a bathtub, and the breakfast was full. What surprised me the most was that there was a Turkish bath for free. Although we did not catch up with the Turkish bath for the reason of the trip, the next time I come to Istanbul, I will definitely choose this hotel.

Located near Taksim Square, there is a subway station. It is a walking distance from the Independence Street and the airport bus. Therefore, the surrounding tourist services are very complete, and there are food and beverage exchanges. Room facilities are general, in line with this price, the front desk gave me a room with a small balcony, Xiaoqing fortunately.

I've stayed at many hotels in Turkey, but this one have make my stay feel different. I've felt as at home, seriosly. Personnel kindness and their attitude is visible and very high level. I did not expect this at all. Rooms are very tidy and clean. Servise have been great. Complimentary water daily. Most of these type of hotels do not do that. But this hotel is realy highly recommended. I've extended my stay here as i liked it very much. Want to thank personnaly Mr. Merwan, Mr. Mesut and Mr. Alper and all other people involved in the making my stay at hotel great.

small, but clean hotel near galata-tower of istanbul. quite central. very near to the tram to sultanahmet and the golden horn. very comfortable rooms, given the lower ranking of the hotel. free wlan, little bit sterile atmosphere. breakfast- and the "terrace" room definitely need to be overdone. breakfast itself is very meager. unfortunately a lot of the staff does not really speak english, but is very friendly. while my stay i was nearly the only guest. turkey stills suffers from tourism and currency problems. but one can give this hotel a chance.

We booked on the morning of our check in date after our original hotel cancelled on us and although I had a slight issue with credit card payment, we were easily able to pay in cash. The staff were friendly and spoke a reasonable level of English which helped. The room itself was practical for our short stay with a comfortable enough bed (although strange being floor based) and bathroom facilities were of a good standard. The location is very convenient being based 2 minutes walk from Taksim Square, however the hill up to it from the hotel can be challenging for some! Overall, we were happy with our 2 night stay which was fair for the price we paid and catered for our needs.

The Opale Hotel is the hotel that we are recommending to all of our friends and family who are planning to visit Istanbul! The Opale Hotel was the absolute perfect home base for my girlfriend and I’s first ever visit to Istanbul. Our room was extremely clean, had an excellent shower, and very fast internet. The hotel is walking distance or a quick rail car ride to all of the must see spots for any visitor to Istanbul. The hotel is in an extremely safe and lively area with a great mix of local and tourist focused restaurants and nightlife close by. The highlight of our stay was the kindness and professionalism of the staff at the hotel. Serkan and Halit provided 24 hour front desk coverage and were exceptionally helpful throughout our trip. They took the time to explain the details of how to use the Istanbul metro system, helped us time our trips to various mosques so that we didn’t arrive or disturb any prayer times, recommended excellent local restaurants, patiently thought us how to say helpful Turkish phrases, and were extremely eager to assist us with any other issues that came up. Hussein and Eren oversaw the delicious continental Turkish breakfast and made sure we were able to try authentic Turkish coffee and teas. Hussein recommended we visit the Suleymaniye Mosque which turned out to be a big highlight of our trip. Everyone we interacted with at the hotel was wonderful. I simply cannot overstate how happy my girlfriend and I were with our stay at the Opale hotel. Our initial itinerary to Turkey scheduled 3 nights in Istanbul (which we spent at the Opale Hotel), 3 nights in Cappadocia, and 3 final nights in Izmir. However, due to a last minute timing issue we found ourselves in Cappadocia and unable to fly to Izmir. We decided to return to Istanbul and without hesitation booked another 3 days at the Opale hotel. These last 3 nights were just as excellent as our first stay and a perfect way to end our time in Turkey.

Figure 1-5 is the hotel’s breakfast room and breakfast, Figure 6 is the lights inside the room; Figure 7 is the street view (one of the small alleys) after leaving the hotel. Generally speaking, the public areas and the interior decoration of the rooms are relatively modern and beautiful; the hotel’s breakfast room seems to be open at other times. The breakfast portion is relatively small compared to other hotels where we stayed. The staff is good at English, and the front desk may promote some services when checking in but it is not too tough. The hotel’s elevator is very interesting, with sliding doors; but it is small and busy (every time we pass by people in line), so except for carrying suitcases, my travel companions and I would not use it (the stairs are close and well lit). What needs to be mentioned is that the hotel’s bath towel problem needs to be improved: not only on the day of check-in, but after staying for almost a week, I found that all the bath towels were shed. Large and small pieces of woolen cloth will be left behind after being wrapped. After washing it in the bathroom, wipe it dry with a towel (this one does not shed hair). The location of the hotel: On the one hand, the hotel is very close to the most prosperous main road (Independence Avenue Pedestrian Street), and you can walk there quickly after passing through a small alley. Especially close to HACI BEKIR, a very popular local jelly shop with a century-old history. When I finally left, I was anxious to buy souvenirs, and I went there quickly and bought them out. The small alleys along the way also have their own unique street scenes, whether you are experiencing Turkish street culture or taking pictures. The hotel itself is located in the tourist area of Xincheng District, so there are many small restaurants nearby. I tried two of them nearby and they were delicious. However, for this reason (near Independence Avenue), driving and taxiing are very inconvenient (Independence Avenue is banned). My travel companion and I took a taxi when we arrived, and the taxi went around and brought us to the door from the small road. On the day we left, it was raining and we couldn’t get the taxi. (Please ask the hotel to call the taxi for us, but also honestly told us: generally If they can’t be called, taxis don’t want to drive over here); the last two with heavy luggage and no hands to hold umbrellas, they walked all the way to the airport bus station (fortunately not too far) . Another shortcoming is that there should be a bar near the hotel, so our room (1st floor) is relatively noisy at night, and there are sometimes singing/callers on the street late at night, which slightly affects the quality of sleep. In general: the towel problem must be solved. Although it is a trivial matter, this detail still affects people's experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in this quirky hotel. Something to catch the eye everywhere you look. If you want somewhere different to stay the the suB Karakoy is the place. Absolutely perfect location for checking out the Karakoy bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Super friendly and helpful desk staff and chef who made an effort to say hello and answered any questions I had. Arriving late on the Friday night the desk porter Aroon led us to a local restaurant with top class selection of Turkish foods. Jan an Onor greeted us over breakfast and chatted to us offering advise if we needed it for local attractions. Hasan was also super helpful when booking transport to and from airport. (Forgive me staff if I misspelt your names) Oh - I didn’t even mention the wine bar with a great selection of wines or the roof top bar. I would totally recommend this hotel and definitely stay there again.

Pros: The hotel is very well located--close to Taksim and Istikal St, but on a quiet sidestreet. Staff at the Lavanta hotel were friendly. Balcony Suite was clean and super spacious. Super well priced. Cons: As others mentioned, It is a branch of Lavanta hotel, first went to Babu Hotel and no one was there, so had to go down the street to do check in at the other hotel. The attendant (when he was there) at Babu House was not well informed. Make sure and be specific about what time you will arrive, as there is not someone at the desk 24/7--we ended up having two wait past the check in time to get our room. The wifi in the Balcony Suite is spotty since it is on the top floor. Overall a great price for a great location.

All my reviews are rarely low. It's understandable that the restaurant in the hotel is a little more expensive than the outside. But the hotel stuff in this hotel is ridiculously expensive. And there are very few weights. The hotel also felt it was not worth the price. It's the same as a domestic express hotel. The price has turned several times. This price can stay in a good hotel elsewhere. In general it doesn't feel worthwhile or worth it. The only advantage is that the location is more convenient. For reference only, customers choose carefully.
