|3.3km from city centerI read a lot about this hotel, both good and bad. There were many doubts, but nevertheless curiosity overcame and we booked 2 nights there. The first impression of the hotel was immediately positive. Polite staff, beautiful territory, neat comfortable rooms (separate houses with a separate entrance). Silence! Coziness and comfort. In general, extended the same day for one more night.
We didn't have a safe or fridge in our room, but that didn't bother us. We calmly left our things on the open terrace and closed valuables in a suitcase.
Breakfast at the hotel from 7 to 10 buffet. I liked everything about breakfast! There is something for every taste lover.
I was surprised that when the hotel was fully loaded, the pool always had a lot of free sunbeds and towels.
The hotel itself is divided into 2 parts. Each has its own pool and it turned out to be very convenient. At the hotel, we freely took a bike and rode sharks, chocolate hills, and watched tarsiers along the way. The location of the hotel allows you to go around everything in one or 2 days! To sharks 30 minutes on a bike, to hills 40-50 minutes. This is at a speed of 40 km per hour. There were just three of us on the bike, so they didn’t drive much)
We ate all the time at the hotel. The menu is designed for vegetarians and Europeans and Asians. Unless he found sushi. I ordered meat, it seemed overcooked, but the taste and color, as they say. The sea food there is delicious, but the fish steak seemed a bit dry. Carbonara pasta is excellent, C-grade cocktails, they are painfully diluted. But I can say this in almost all the Philippines. And in Elnido and Cebu and Bohol. This restaurant is popular, even groups sail there by boat, so it’s better to choose the time either before the group or after, who will have to wait a long time for the order, as it was once with us))
In general, for 2 - 3 days, that’s it, then you want to go to the sea, but it’s far from there. People don't swim in the river.
From tips:
1) You need to go to Sharks in the morning. We went there at 7 am, without breakfast. We returned at 9 and had breakfast discussing our impressions. The ticket was taken on the spot 1500 pesos per person. Expensive but trust me it's worth it. It is better to take coral slippers with you, because you will have to walk over stones to get to the boat. Someone swam in fins, they can be rented on the spot. Be sure to have something to shoot in the water. I shot on my phone in a waterproof case. It turned out cool! Ask for a vest in size, it will just be more comfortable to swim. We didn’t take T-shirts and other souvenirs with sharks, but we didn’t see any more of them, so take them there. Personal items can be taken with you in a waterproof backpack. But the boats are very small, reminiscent of a large kayak, there is very little space there. We left our backpack in the place where we were instructed.
2) when traveling to the chocolate hills, plan to visit the zip line by bike. It's really cool. We went cycling and surfing. All together cost 1000 pesos per person. The guide showed us the way from the site where we took the transfer to the hills, they leave the bikes there and either on foot or by transfer go to the hills. Take a shuttle for the hills. 100 pesos per person. One return ticket. For the same ticket you get a free umbrella from the sun. And it bakes very well there))
The room has Wi-Fi. Worked without interruption.
Transfer to Panglao was taken at the hotel. It cost 1200 pesos.

|1.84km from city centerThe price is very good and breakfast is also. The staff is nice. However, in 2 rooms, one has no window and the other has a noisy air conditioner. With other meals, you can pass. I ordered a burger, but it was not cooked well. I asked for the cooking well. The burger returned to me yet not cooked. In fact, it is the worst burger I eaten in my life. In fact, I didn't eat it, because I didn't want to be sick. They were about 4 servers, but no one thought to bring a glass of water.

Panglao
|2.7km from city center First if all, the place is located right on the main street leading to Alona beach, and it's very noisy day and night (for those who might care). Second, no Wi-Fi in the room, and barely working one on the porch, so you have to sit on a hard wooden bench in the pool area if you want to use internet. Third, when we arrived and checked in into our room with ”garden view” we found out that our view is the wall of the room in front, shared ”porch”, which is more like a narrow alley filled with hanging laundry. When we asked the staff politely about the ”garden view” mismatch, the two receptionists instead of offering a solution directly started to blame it on us, saying that we (I quote) ”didn't request a garden view”. In my understanding, if it's written in the room description, it's included, and there was no note about requesting it anywhere. Clearly, they just wanted to get rid of me without fixing anything. All I wanted is to be moved to another room. They didn't propose that, so I asked if they had another room with a proper porch available, they rudely said no, that's all we have and turned away. After I asked again if there is anything available tomorrow or the day after, or even a different type of room, finally with very annoyed attitude admitted that there is one tomorrow that we could move to. Clearly, my trust is already shaken, so I asked them to see the room first. They made a whole scene about this, but finally showed me the room next to ours, which was better. The restaurant has similar service. We ordered 3 dishes, it took 40 minutes for them to bring one of them, and it was wrong. We sent it back, waited another 15 minutes and finally got all our food, which was very mediocre. Really not with the price and the waiting. After all this we really didn't want to stay in this place, so we booked another hotel, and went to tell them that we will be checking out. Got shouted at again saying that our booking is not refundable. Forget it. Even the swimming pool, the only nice thing about this hotel, couldn't be enjoyed because of the construction next door. The workers would stare from the roof and one even got down and was peeping over the fence...

|3.52km from city centerTwo single beds, much like the type of Super 8 Hotel in our country, there is a shopping mall nearby, you can eat and go shopping, the first floor is a supermarket! The front desk helped me introduce a driver guide, chartered for a long time to go to the Chocolate Hills Eye Monkey, etc. It feels very good, you need to introduce it to you.

|5.1km from city centerThe view of the ocean from the hotel was beautiful however the location is a little bit of a drive from town. Not many tricycles come by this area but if you ask the guards, they will help by calling one for you. The room my husband and I stayed in had tiny ants everywhere. Also, at night you will see little geckos hanging out on the wall. The breakfast in the morning that was included in our coat was very delicious!

|2.53km from city centerThis shop is on the side of the road, breakfast is very general, is set a set and set B two packages. Extra bed to add money, basically the simplest apartment, the extra bed is relatively narrow! There is a fruit shop downstairs, fresh, but the price is average! Ice cream on the bee farm on the edge of the beach can come a few times a day, delicious and not expensive!

|1.98km from city centerIf you have to spend a night in Jagna (if the ferry to Camiguin is cancelled for example) then this place is a Very nice option. The buildings are a bit old so don't expect a super modern facility but the rooms are clean and spacious. The garden is nice and the staff friendly. You can also have breakfast if you want to. If you are no a pet person than this is definitely not a place for you. They have a lot of cats and dogs here. Don't worry they're super friendly. If you are into diving they offer this service.

|3.87km from city centerI just stayed at the Malinawon and thought overall the experience was fine. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: 1. I stayed there for two nights and with fees altogether came out to 7100 pesos (about 71$US a night, which is not bad) 2. Staff all super friendly, especially when we needed to get a tricycle to Alona. 3. Really enjoyed the layout of the property and how each room was pool facing. I was able to get a room on the ground floor (#29). 4. The pool, although shallow, was pretty big in my eyes. 5. The bed was really comfortable. Cons: 1. One day, the bartender called out sick, so we were told no drinks other than beer would be served. Seriously? Can't find a substitute? 2. The internet was really shoddy with poor connections. 3. We probably shouldn't have done this, but, we were able to play our music via the garden Bluetooth speaker. We were playing for about a good 20-30 minutes until we were told that we weren't allowed. But there was really no music playing in the garden area and the speaker was there via Airplay. 4. Location is a bit further away from Alona (ok, about a 5-minute ride on the tricycle) in case you were looking for something closer. 5. The safe was not working for me. I could have asked the staff but chose not to. Again, overall, the experience was fine. The staff, really polite and professional and courteous. The value was good.

Panglao
|3.45km from city centerThe hotel is very comfortable, but it has a swimming pool which is a bigger plus and the rooms are in fact small apartments with kitchenettes living and very pleasant room. The big negative point of our stay is that unfortunately we had booked a typical cabin in the region (which is in front of the apartments and seems to be new). In contrast to the other hotels where we had been and where we had stayed in the same type of place, this cabin was poorly placed, just at the entrance of the residence 200 metres from the road. The first night was a succession of cars that passed, music strong up to 3-4h, dogs sticks etc. that have hardly prevented us from sleeping. What is not seen when it comes is that the cabin gives on a storage facility (see photos) and the day passing the heat brings up an unsupportable smell of dust, dirty food and piss. It was just impossible to stay in this housing. I've been talking about it to the manager who has ”gently” proposed to go to the rooms in front ...but that the next day.it had to re-support a night in noise and pestilential smell without much sleep. We finally changed our room to our great happiness, with the apartments beautiful and mostly isolated from noise and no smell. However, at the time of the surprise checkout we have to pay the difference in price between the two rooms, which has not been explained to us and most of all seems abuse because providing a noisy and that puts the waste is not at the normal base. However, as the responsible, who is saying by the way, has become angry and began to raise the tone when I wanted to talk with her, the smell is not their fault (which is surprising because when you make a cabin the minimum is of clean the waste before installing anything), noise nor (even one room can be insonic and if you cannot provide services at the height you do not have cabins) We were not sure that we were not going to sleep and the airport never removed the smells. It seems scandalous that a hotel manager provides such answers, not deny the problem but re-emphasizes the client's back. De plus, elle pousse le bouchon jusqu'à dire que le prix de la chambre ne couvre que l'électricité (ce qui est en soi une aberration comme justification) et que je ne pouvais pas du tout me plaindre. A hotel is not only infrastructure but also a suitable treatment of customers and their problems. Rent and let people sleep in this pestilent and no-sonic place is just disrespective of customers but also of the standards to which

|2.23km from city centerThis is a European-owned bed and breakfast. There are only 10 cottages in the house, which are summarized as follows: 1Location: Near Alona Beach, 10 minutes walk to the beach, we dragged the suitcase and walked past no problem, very close. 2 Hygienic environment: Health is very new and clean, just like the picture, this is the only one that is most satisfactory. 3 Surrounding environment: Do not hold any hope in the small alleys. The surrounding area is a resident. The opposite is also a homestay. It was originally quiet. As a result, the repair shop near the factory had been repairing things very noisy that afternoon. In the case of the toothpaste, it is not. The most important thing is that there is no quilt without a quilt! There is only one thin abacus or something, sleeping at night is very cool! Most dissatised with this 5 Others: Check in can be processed at 10 o'clock in the morning. We had to go out at six o'clock the next day, but there was no staff at check-out at six o'clock. We packed our luggage in the room at the time, then we left the English note and told Ctrip customer service to let them know that we had to check out, then Come back to the sea in the evening to pick up your luggage. God, when I went out, I lost a little time to go out to sea. It was too early to go to work. Overall, it's a good idea. If the requirements are high, it is not suitable.

Anda
|4.23km from city centerI accidentally booked this hotel and didn't expect it to be so far from the dock, but it was really amazing, so I couldn't help but write some comments for this hotel. Start to focus, knock on the blackboard! 1. The hotel is located in the Anda area. If you want a clean hotel and don't want the Chinese to get together, choose here. There are very few people here, there are fewer Asians, and there will be no noisy tours. The terminal chartered (9-seat) 3500P, driving for two and a half hours. 2. The beach is much better than Alona. The sand is very fine and white. You can go to a small town along the beach at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The town has a seafood market. There is a hot dog shop that is super delicious, as long as 50P. It is also very cheap to eat in the town. Dinner can be eaten by the beach, watching the moonlight and blowing the sea breeze. 3. The hotel's infinity pool is very good, although the view is beautiful, the hotel room decoration is a bit simple, but the room is quite big, the hotel next door is also very good, is the J&G hotel. 3. The hotel provides breakfast, the hotel's food is very good, 50 per person, there is a BBQ pork rice super delicious, the hotel has free kayaking, and other charges can also be booked. It is very suitable for bringing children here. You can have an extra bed. The people who came here said that it was very good. It was right. Especially suitable for friends who don't want to go to Alona. I lived in Alona for 3 days and then I feel that the world is clean. Be prepared to come here next time.

|3.26km from city centerDefinitely not my favourite hotel - in fact I left after the first night of my 3 night booking & forfeited my payment for the remaining nights. BED... If you like sleeping on a FIRM bed similar to a timber floor, then the bed will suit you fine. If you prefer a more luxurious softer bed then book a different hotel. Even when Housekeeping put 2 comforters between the bed & the sheet, it was still HARD. BATHROOM Again very different to usual Filipino standards. On the bed were 2 face washers & 2 towels (about the size of typical western hand towels), plus in the bathroom was 2 ”Bath Towels” (narrow long flimsy open weave fabric) for exfoliating your body not drying it. Getting dry after the shower was definitely a challenge. BREAKFAST For a westerner, there was no cereal to start the day. The buffet containers for both the fried eggs & the back were empty, so I asked if they could be replenished. The hostess immediately went to the kitchen & promptly returned with a plate of fried eggs & another plate of bacon. I thought YIPPEE, I will have fresh hot breakfast, but I was sadly disappointed as both the eggs & the bacon were cold - obviously left on a bench in the kitens after being cooked sometime earlier. If you want butter to go with your sweet toast, you have to ask for it. Vegemite on sweet toast is a strange taste. Cappucino coffee is NOT included in breakfast. POWER OUTLETS If you have travelled to the Philippines you will know that their power outlets are two flat vertical pins. NOT HERE, they are the Korean recessed circular pins which made charging my devices a challenge. Thankfully reception had Korean/Filipino adapters. POOL It was nice!

The room did not smell and was clean, but we stayed for two nights. The waiters did not clean. The hotel only prepared a small soap. Other toiletries need to be prepared by themselves. There is no kettle in the room, but hot water is provided in the hallway. The staff service was good. They helped us to carry our luggage without asking for tips, but we took the initiative. |48.16km from city centerGreat apartments - spacious, clean, some moments need to be refreshed, but in general everything is good! It is worth noting that these are apartments without a familiar hotel service. The owner of the apartments lives directly in the neighborhood and has assistants. Any questions are resolved quickly. You can order breakfast for just 200 peso per person and it really is worth it. A careful area, a large pool. True, we never understood how the cleaning issue is solved, in 6 days we only cleaned up once, whether it does not include, whether it is necessary to ask specifically. Also the owner can rent a bike. Each apartment has its own isolated terrace. In general there are all necessary (towels, dishes, tiles, teapot, refrigerator, safe). But there were not enough elementary trimmings (the bathroom had no soap and hand towels, there was no towels and garments in the kitchen, and even sponge with washing machine was not - therefore washing dishes was difficult), But I think if you ask - then without problems will provide missing things! To the beach (Alona Beach) 7 minutes on a bike, there are no shops in the foot accessibility, but there are a couple of cafes. In general these little things have not overshadowed our stay! Recommend! They will be suitable for both short-term and long-term stays.

|6.51km from city centerWe stayed for three nights and loved it so much! It's such a beautiful building offering beautiful rooms and wonderful service. The suite was absolutely amazing, very large and had a comfortable bed and a very nice tub on the balcony. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was absolutely great and the fruit shakes were the best. The property has an amazing garden and breathtaking views. They are also building a pool which should be ready sometime soon. Anne and Derek were very lovely and helped with transportation, advice on the local area etc. It was great to spend the New Years Eve with them and share some good stories. An only minor complaint would be regarding the noise level around Christmas time as it sounded like the whole island was partying every night. The location is very nice, off the beaten path yet close enough to nearby attractions. There are a few beaches a scooter ride away.

|10.81km from city centerWe were there to scout snorkeling locations. The owner showed us around and arranged a boat for us to visit the sites we were interested in. He was very nice, friendly and accommodating. It all looks very nice and seems extremely well maintained. It's all very recent construction. There are plenty of deluxe details. Big beds, super quiet aircon, great wifi, one way glass in the front windows of the rooms! The kitchen at the restaurant is large and very well appointed. It was the chef's day off but food was procured from the resort next door. The waitress was not well trained but was a 10 visually. I'm told the snorkeling was a paradise on Earth prior to Typhoon Odette. Now it is only average and will take many years to regain its former glory. The soft corals are starting to recover but the hard corals are down for the count. We did see some large sea turtles. The hardcore freedivers in our group said that it's still glorious at depths of 35 feet and more, so scuba divers will not be disappointed.
