It was nice that it was beautiful and close to the central station. Check-in was not possible by self-check-in, and when I asked the front desk, it seems that payment was not successful due to some problem and booking was not possible, but I was able to respond and stayed safely.

The rough location of this hotel is particularly good, and the hotel staff is particularly friendly, and I think the price is very high. On the last day, I found a road that can reach the core area in 5 minutes. It only takes 5 minutes to walk from the Central Railway Station. It takes only 15 minutes to go to the museum by the intercity bus. There is a very delicious flying fish shop nearby called Stubbe Haring. , I will definitely choose this hotel next time I go to the Netherlands!

The location was fabulous The size of the room is normsl for Amsterdam. The room was clean. The negative is the bed js very hard and lumpy. IBIS has put a mattress together on the mattress. IBIS shoukd replace the bed. You do not get a goid night's sleep on this mattress. The bathroom is very tiny. No ventilation and when yiu use the toilet it stimks. The shower leaks water all over the floor even with the shower doors closed. Very very small bathroom No air-conditioning as advertised. But if you ask they will give you a fan which is very powerful and cools the room No coffee maschine in the room You cam buy coffee down stairs. The hallway carpet does not give a good first impression. It scared me . As the hallway carpet was filthy. The carpet needs changed out. The room. Was clean I did not have breakfast as they stop serving at 10 am which is early when your on vacation and in Amsterdam. I gave a very honest review

I stayed her maybe 4 hours we went to sleep and then at 3 o’clock in the morning my friend woke me up because they’re was a gnawing sound/ I quickly turned on the lights , the bag of crisps my friends were eating that night had a rat inside . When I turned on the lights it ran across the table were our heads were facing and ran under the bed . My friends were screaming we went down to reception no shoes in no phones ran down. The receptionist went to check our room and placed us in a new one . We were on the top floor when this occurred they need placed us on a room on the lowest floor. If there is rats on the top floor the bottom floor would be cover with them . It was now 4 o’clock and we were afraid to get in the beds . We didn’t sleep and at 8 o’clock they told us we should go have breakfast I was gagging thinking about even eating in this hotel . We went to eat in McDonald’s to eat breakfast out of disgust of this place . Hotel Multatuli is disgusting. The manager Walter Barboza tried to give us only half of our money back as we stayed the night and of course we said we had no choice but to a stay he then gave us the full refund but it will not go into our account until 3 days and that means we have no money and no accommodation. He was no help in this situation he said that we should call our parents for help . That is ridiculous he offered us a hotel that we couldn’t not afford and then said we could continue to stay in this hotel but would have to pay for it I am extremely upset and now have lost a day of my hoilday trying to find somewhere to sleep. I strongly suggest no one stays in this hotel . Please do not eat here

This hotel is very special. It is designed according to the decoration on the train. The restaurant is exactly like the train compartment. Even the design of the room is very similar to the train compartment. The bathroom is completely designed according to the shape of the toilet in the compartment. When the restaurant was waiting for the water, I saw the picture of the train construction there, and I just met the boss. He said that the young man in the picture was the picture he took when he was 20 years old when he was building the train station. This boss has the plot of the train, so he designed it like this. The hotel is in a good location. It is diagonally opposite the train station. You can walk to the station for 5 minutes and go to the airport by train. You can buy a ticket to the airport at the ticket office of the train station for 11 euros for 2 people. If you arrive at the airport in 20 minutes, It's more expensive to take the bus to the airport, the hotel staff told me. Walking to various attractions, the Red Light District also walked past, Chinatown is also very close, but to go to the windmill village by bus, we bought a round-trip bus ticket for 23 people for 23 euros, to the train station's second-floor bus ride point 891 directly, 391 The road is okay, but the stop is a bit slow. The hotel breakfast is average, and the continental style breakfast is full. In short, it is good and highly recommended.

The hotel is very close to the train station. The first time I ran to another ibis, this is the ibis style hotel. But this is closer to the business district. In fact, the two ibis are about 3 minutes walk. The hotel room is very small, basically can only open the big suitcase checked in the bed, maybe the hotel in Amsterdam is so big. The hotel breakfast is OK, the breakfast of each hotel is similar. Bustling commercial street, pedestrian street is on the edge, shopping is very convenient

Cool hotel, Laid back and very comfortable. Watch yourself going up and down the stairs if you have had a drink in you. Treacherous! But that is normal in old Amsterdam. I loved the neighborhood. Good place for a party. This hotel has a very pleasant cafe at the front that serves really spectacular rich continental breakfasts and excellent coffee. Friendly staff all around. Would definitely come back again on my next trip to Amsterdam!

Toiletries are the British brand elmis high-end brand. The location is very close to the train station. The Dutch accommodation is expensive. The price is not high. Speaking of art, the hotel is really decorative, but I don’t think it’s enough. There are a few modern art houses. It’s called art hotel. It’s too far-fetched.

Summary: This is a fine, budget place to stay if you do not mind living in a very small space (perhaps planning to be traveling via Centraal for much of the day) and want just the very basics but with a kitchen. We stayed here in June 2022 in a two bedroom Ij-view apartment. First, the good parts: —It’s a 2 min walk to Amsterdam Centraal, but doesn’t seem to have any noise from it. The location makes it very convenient to visit neighboring cities and take the tram anywhere in Amsterdam. —There is a grocery store 2 minutes away which is very convenient. —The manager of the facility (Ami) is friendly, professional, and very helpful. She’s a real asset to staying here. —They are generous with towels, toiletries, etc., and there is a ‘help yourself’ area. (Strangely, some of the toiletries are very tiny--single initial bar of soap provided for the bathroom is crazy small.) —The shower is a comfortable stall one, the kitchen appliances are updated, and the blackout blinds work well. Unfortunately, there are several important and large negatives: —The two bedroom apartments do not look like the pictures on the website. The actual apartment is about half the size shown, with one small dining table and two chairs (a problem even for our small family of 3), and one very broken-down couch with no other seating in the living space. The table was right outside the bathroom door. Probably because of the size, the apartment is much darker as very little light gets from the bedrooms into the main living space. —The bedrooms are also much smaller than shown, especially the larger of the two, which had a 3 foot x 3 foot concrete column near the bed, both obstructing the view of the water and also making it impossible to have a bedside table on the right side. The smaller bedroom was the exact width of a double bed, so getting in and out of bed means you must climb down to the bottom. Compounding the bedroom issues is that the mattresses are very thin and hard, so getting a good night’s sleep isn’t easy. There are no closets or dressers, just a rack with a bottom shelf. —Their cancellation policies, though written like typical hotels, are not used in practice the same way. We had a “free cancellation rate” as recommended by the hotel and mentioned in their replies to other reviews on this site, but still they did not want to refund our hotel stay when we wished to cancel. (This was eventually resolved and our money returned, after quite a bit of back and forth.) This would be a fine, budget place to stay if you do not mind living in a very small space (perhaps planning to be traveling via Centraal for much of the day) and want just the very basics but with a kitchen.

As other reviews, the ”hotel” is near Centraal Station, which is one the reasons I booked. The stairs were steep and twisty on the way in, and there is no lift - so if you have large luggage, this can be a struggle. The guy on receptionist was nice and upgraded the room at no extra cost as I had made a mistake when booking. He then asked me if I wanted a towel, which I thought came as standard with a ”hotel” stay. Alarm bells started to ring when I read ”Items left in the room are at your own risk and not the hotel's responsibility”. Also, breakfast had a tiny window of between 9-10 and checkout was 10:30. When I got into the room, it was small, dirty and smelt of bleach. They say the rooms are non-smoking but reception clearly isn't as that stank of smoke. The TV in the room was small, above the door, and had sellotape on the front of it + no remote - although I think you have to ask for this at reception (for whatever reason). The noise from the street was practically like having the window open, so not so much sleep there. I decided to wake up at 6am and get the hell out. This is clearly a hostel and not a hotel, and at the price you pay, there are better options out there. It scores points for location and staff (and the shower was ok as well) but don't expect a classy room.

Hello Gents, i don't usually do reviews, but i feel that this time a comment is needed. Been there 2 days ago, the room is dirty, found hair on the bed and you can checkout my pictures for the rest ... I did not make any picture in corridors/elevator, but there was dirt everywhere, even the elevator stink and was dirty as hell. I was travelling for business, selected this hotel only because was near my workplace, did not care much about price, only about location. The room is cheap, but also the quality of cleaning is cheap ... The only good thing, was the breakfast, real orange juice apparently (or they managed to fake it very well) and good scrambled eggs. Oh wait, another good thing is the McDonald nearby, at least you can get food easily... I would never go back to this hotel, and i am surprised that my company website suggested this hotel as possible destination, will make sure they remove it from the list. Sorry but, this is what it is ... and i can provide a feedback from the couple standing in front of me at the check in, they went to the room, and came back after few seconds, mentioning that someone else clothes were left in the room .... If you don't care about cleanness, got for it, otherwise stay away ...

Staying in Amadi for three nights, a very good experience, first of all, the hotel security makes you feel at ease, the second room is very big, it is a real big bed, the bathroom facilities are excellent, the shower is big, and there is a free coffee bag in the room. The tea bag and the beer drink water in the small refrigerator are also free. The third view is first-class. The sea can be seen from the room. It is very eye-catching. The fourth service is good. The front desk is patient and thoughtful. There is a feeling of going home, the fifth traffic. It is very convenient to get to the hotel from the train station on the 26th tram line. Yes, there is free fruit at the front desk every afternoon. It is a Western meal for breakfast.

This check-in is a business trip. The three of them stayed in three double-bed rooms. The hotel is located next to The Hague Central Railway Station and can be reached in about five minutes on foot. The hotel is very convenient for transportation, and it is also adjacent to the business district. There is a Chinese restaurant downstairs. The scale is not bad. The owner is Hong Kong. There are about a dozen floors in the hotel. There is no specific number. On each floor of the elevator, there is a basket and fruits, including kiwi, beer, banana, orange, apple and so on. Breakfast is quite good, full range, clean and healthy, yogurt is especially recommended to try, there are three flavors. There is a Chinese Malaysian duty manager at the front desk, who can barely speak Mandarin, speaks fluent Cantonese, and has a good service attitude. The rooms are clean and hygienic, with large windows designed to provide panoramic views of The Hague. In addition, it is no exaggeration to say that the bed is the most comfortable one since I stayed in so many hotels, it is really particularly comfortable. It ’s rare to give a five-star hotel, but anyway, this stay is worthy of five-star praise

As other reviewers have mentioned, this hotel is in a shared building with another hotel & residential units, but it’s not at all inconvenient or hard to find. The reception provides free water for your room (a refillable tap) and the staff was very helpful with recommendations and also super friendly! The rooms were very clean, lovely wood floors, comfortable beds & great showers. Food, drinks & shops all within walking distance & it’s about a 15 minute walk into the central part of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, there were many restrictions due to Covid while we were there, but having a comfortable room with a helpful front desk staff made it much more bearable!

Due to the early arrival, but the staff is also very kind and polite, arranged Early check-in. The hotel has mini-bar, gym, laundry service and bicycle rental. The room is very large and comfortable, and there is a kitchen with complete facilities. During check-in, the staff will ask if they will cook, and if so, they will provide a set of cleaning supplies. The room is spacious and the double bed is very comfortable. The only thing that is more critical is that the room is so big, the toilet is too small, and the depth of the washbasin is too shallow. But the overall feeling of use is very good.

We had a magnificent stay at De ware Jacob Hotel with a family of five at the end of 2020. With the Covid restrictions it was not easy to travel around, but nonetheless we decided to spend a weekend in Amsterdam benefitting from the beauty of the city with fewer tourists at this moment in time. This Hotel was recommended to us as a cosy newly renovated boutique hotel at the heart of the Museum District, and the price was really good, so we were not disappointed. Our stay was even more memorable than expected. We were received by the very friendly owner and treated with a glass of Cava. The suites and the family rooms were very nice and spacious, we also benefitted from an upgrade, which was a nice gesture. A nice sushi dinner was delivered from a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed it in the lounge with a nice restaurant ambiance. We were pleasantly shocked to be given the variety of Georgian natural wines tasting by the host, something we never tried before, accompanied by the delicious strawberry covered in chocolate. Fantastic!! Breakfast was nicely presented, had nice selection and we were also offered a glass of Prosecco to start the day, but instead decided to swap it for extra cappuccinos and a homemade cake on the house. The city itself was delightful, being not so crowded as usual. We really enjoyed walking in the nearby park. Also went to The Red Light district which was absolutely empty, something unforgettable and special!!! It was indeed a very pleasant break in beautiful Amsterdam.

I booked a room in this hotel - I had to pay part of the additional fees 241 rubles .. but it takes 2 times more from me at the reception desk. 6.64 EUR !!! photo of my reservation, photo of the receipt from the reception about the requirement in the photo below. I almost do not understand English. But all I could understand was that the additional fees every day are different in amount. So kaa yesterday with me 3.40 EURO took the surcharge, but I have a reservation today. And the surcharge on it today? Why is there one extra charge when booking, but in fact they require 2 times more? What should I do in this case? Do I have the right to pay 241 rubles -3.49 EURO as shown in the reservation? Why is the Princess Hotel not informing the Trip.com website about another surcharge on this day? Or is the Trip.com website writing the wrong surcharges? Please understand the situation!

We chose bunk hoping for a hostel atmosphere with a bit more luxury, unfortunately we found the atmosphere to be quite antisocial. The mixed pods were dark, with no windows which made for a challenge every time you wanted to use your case, the bathrooms were the same with no natural lighting and it definitely wasn’t designed for getting ready in an evening! We found the communal space was mainly used for people who were working and we were made to feel as though we needed to be quiet, the age range was very broad with travellers and families which just gave the place a confused feel. The restaurant was very expensive for a hostel style hotel and this was made worse when not being allowed to bring your own food in, this just felt very money grabbing for a budget hotel. There is also no case hold so once you have checked out or are waiting for your room you have to pay for a Locker! The establishment is clearly a hostel trying to be a hotel which was very unclear when booking. We did however find the location to be good with great transport links such as the metro and free ferry to central.

The hotel is quite far from the airport. It does not have shuttle bue from the airport. Finally, I ave to call a taxi to the hotel. The other are very good, we have a beautiful night in the hotel.

Review Staff: Friendly, Helpful and Kind, staff were bilingual from what I could understand English and Dutch Location: Easy to get to via bus by the 397 from the Schiphol Airport to the Van Gogh Museum and walk 10-15 minutes or take the Tram 3 the rest of the way. Amenities: They offer multiple consoles to select from to put in your room if you're into that and have a mini cafe/bar in the lounge. Cleanliness: Bedding and towels were clean on arrival but there was a weird smudged substance on the wall that was not cleaned for some reason. Would I recommend: If you are into gaming it's a great location to stay and the price is not bad. There's a nice variety of consoles and games to select but with other peoples reviews and my experience I would not be able to verify how clean your room may be upon arrival.

Short trip to Amsterdam as a couple. It was a 20 minute walk to the main train station which we were ok with. Breakfast was good. Rather than opting for the bed and breakfast style package, we paid for breakfast each day as there was a quite a large menu with lots of different larger and smaller sized options on it. The bar was lovely, we got to sit by the water and enjoy a few beers from the brewery. We chose to go to the bar rather than wait for table service as it was a lot quicker and we could look at the different beers on sale. The Reception was very helpful. There is a large grassy area just outside which our room overlooked. This did get a bit noisy on a late evening with groups sat out. The water in the shower became ridiculously hot at times so do be careful of this. This was a good base on the outskirts of town.

The location is next to the train station and tram, very clean, and there is a sauna (though we didn't have time to go) The front desk service is very friendly, the rooms have basic kitchenware, the price is good, and the pass is very good Clean, the room provided a lot of tea bags and coffee. Very satisfied.

Hotel lacked very basic things you would expect. No information in rooms regarding amenities available, time table for breakfast or even local info, not even safety information incase of fire. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No water or glasses. No phone to contact reception and no mini bar. Good shower, liquid soap only, no other toiletries in bathroom. No house keeping . We stayed 3 nights and had no one come in and make bed or clean. Only 3 hangers for 2 people so had to fold clothes. No on site cafe . Bar small and limited. Did sell pizza and one other dish but tried the pizza one night and was a pre bought frozen pizza. Staff were not helpful, we arrived early before 3pm and although our room was ready we were charged an extra £40 to have our room early. Room was a nice size and modern but two walls were glass which looked directly into opposite rooms and so we had to have curtains closed day and night. Breakfast was okay, again pretty basic. Beds were comfortable and hotel modern and clean overall but unfortunately I would not go back and so could not recommend .

As this is a new hotel, everything is very clean, and the breakfast is wonderful! However, there was a glitch with their system when checking out, and the person doing the checking out didn’t have the best attitude. She kept insisting that I should pay the room again (even though I’ve showed her the payment confirmation), and said they’ll refund me if they found my record. That was disappointing. Thankfully the manager stepped in and resolved the issue in the end.

The hotel was absolutely amazing, we had a fantastic stay. The rooms were clean, spacious and modern. The host of the hotel Bruno was very friendly, very helpful and gave us great tips as to where to go round and about Amsterdam. The hotels breakfast was also delicious! We cannot wait to come and visit again next year. Flaffie and Freddie

Thank you for a fantastic stay. Great room allocation we were at the front of the hotel but the road noise wasn’t a problem with the window closed. 25min walk into Central Amsterdam but to be honest there is so much to see in the local neighbourhood there is no need to go into Central Amsterdam. Brewery across the road has amazing brown food (fried snacks) and the beer was to the best experience and the barman allowed us to taste a few before we decided which one we liked. Coffee shop about a 5min walk t from the hotel. 8 min walk to the local supermarket. The bus stop outside the hotel number 22 stops outside and number 48 stops about 7mins from the hotel. The bus stop at Central Station is at the back of the station and platform J I think. The bar in the hotel actually looked like the pictures. The restaurant was very stylish but we didn’t get the chance to eat in there but will on our next visit! Room was clean, great coffee machine in room, and English movie channel and the best bed with foam mattress and lovely soft pillows. We would definitely stay here again

We booked this hotel for 3 nights back in 2019, for 2020. Twice we had to change our dates due to COVID, first to 2021, then to 2022. Prior to arriving to Amsterdam for our holiday, I (who had been the one to book), had received emails from this hotel informing us they are looking forward to us staying and asking if we wanted to book breakfast. Things were going fine, until we arrive to the hotel on our check-in date, and were informed they had no room for us. We were in shock, and thought they were joking. In short, our names were on the system, but for some bizarre reason they had not allocated us a room. They told us to come back later and they'd sort it. Came back later to be told they have no room and we'd have to go somewhere else. No attempt to understand how we had payed over £600 for a hotel we got told we couldn't stay in. Owner tried blaming it on Booking.com, to which the website recommended us an alternate accommodation, which was about half an hour away from the city centre by tram in an unpopulated place, and a fraction of the quality of what Amsterdam House was supposed to be. As two young girls travelling for the first time alone, this was completely out of the question. Fortunately, we were able to find other accommodation, and 'apparently' we will receive a full refund. Time will tell if this hotel does. If their morals are anything like the way they treat customers, I wouldn't be so sure. I have never known a hotel to simply tell me upon arrival that they don't have a room for me, after I had paid a high price for it. Disgusting service, and judging by the other reviews on here, I'm starting to become glad we got turned away.

Set a four-person room, a large bed with two single beds, a bunk bed. In the basement, the hotel is not bad, there is no slippers, a kettle, and there is a socket that can be directly charged without conversion. The hotel reception staff are very nice and can buy bus tickets at the front desk. The hotel is strategically located, not far from the Van Gogh Museum and the tram platform, with parking at the door. There are several kindergartens around, and the children and the local children are very happy.
