Hotels Near Bj'S In Glasgow
0.29km from BJ'sI arrived at this hostel due to covid 19 and the owner really saved my ass...I was put in a very hard situation but yet he took me in and saved my behind...Mauro is a lovely guy and he goes above and behond to make people feel welcome...if I’m being honest himself? the owner and Stuart and Sandra are four very decent people and the world would be a much better place with more people like this...I can not rate this hostel highly enough X

2.03km from BJ'sBrought my parents back to Gera to attend the graduation ceremony and stayed in this hotel for three nights.
1. The hotel breakfast is very rich and varied
2. The front desk staff are warm and attentive
3. The hotel environment is very warm and comfortable
4. A 15-minute walk from the University of Georgia
Insufficiency is that the hotel brand is relatively small and difficult to notice, and the others are very satisfied! ! !
2.49km from BJ'sThe location is very good, look back to the alma mater, it is very convenient near the school, and next to the famous park and a big supermarket, the restaurant is also on the same road, dining, shopping, leisure is convenient. The subway station is also a five minute walk away. The room is medium in size and the breakfast is quite rich. The family is very satisfied. Although some ages, the hotel is clean. Insufficient, the hotel did not clean the bathroom and the table the next day, did not clean the cup, and did not happen again in the next few days after the feedback from the hotel.
2.61km from BJ'sBooked this hotel at the last minute. Ideally situated for the west end as I was attending an award ceremony. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Really good value too. Highly recommend. Thanks to the front of house staff.
2.62km from BJ'sThe service and contact from the Embassy Apartments from the outset of my booking a studio apartment on line was excellent and to accommodate my preferred check in time. On my arrival on a very wet and cold Wednesday I was given a warm and informative welcome by the receptionist who promptly checked me in and then showed me to my studio, which in reality is better than the photos, plus easy access to a delightful court yard garden. As a solo lady traveller I cannot recommend the Embassy Apartments highly enough, for friendly approachable staff, whilst maintaining your privacy. Also your own keys to come and go as you please appreciating safety and security, which is both explained and we'll signposted without being intrusive. If this all was not enough, lastly the location and proximity to the river Kelvin, botanical gardens etc, makes it perfect and look forward to my next stay.

2.65km from BJ'sOvernight visit with Daughter as she had an early start the next day for an Interview at the University. The price paid includes full breakfast so this is really great value. This is an old building but full of charm and character. The on-suite room was clean and well prepared. The twin room actually contained 2 double beds so was a good size room with plenty of storage. Slept OK, but like other comments posted the mattresses could be of better quality, at this price/value I have no complaints there. Phoned the hotel as I made the booking to check availability of a 'twin room' as travelling with my Daughter. All communication with hotel and reception was always friendly and welcome and Cathy made sure we settled in OK and on duty til 11pm at night and was happily cooking and serving breakfast the next morning. Overall, this felt like a very personal and friendly hotel with good local staff. Able to park in Hotel's car park at the rear of the hotel for a very reasonable £5 and was able to leave my car for the next day while attending the University. Great location for the University, easy to get to city centre via Bus or local underground system. Good selection of bars and restaurants in immediate location. Great to have the Botanic Gardens over the road.
2.65km from BJ'sWe were made so welcome by Joe and found our room to be spotlessly clean and comfortable. A quiet environment for my young son to sleep in was a priority and the Ambassador provided this for us, it was wonderfully peaceful and we slept well. Breakfast is available but we didn't book this because of time constraints. I would use this hotel again and I would gladly recommend staying here to anyone.
2.76km from BJ'sClean and good service. Surrounding environment is good, there is a pizzeria, close to the University of Glasgow, you can visit the entire University of Glasgow and museums. Book this next time

I’ve just returned from an overnight stay for my partner’s birthday and can safely say we will be returning! The hotel was clean, warm and welcoming and we were given a complimentary room upgrade on arrival as the hotel was quiet. Our room was spacious, immaculate and had the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in! The food served at dinner was incredible, and even with no alcohol currently being served due to COVID restrictions, my partner both left very happy after a beautiful meal! The highlight of my stay was definitely Robyn who works in the spa. My partner and I both booked in for a massage and the best foot forward treatment, and I can safely say Robyn is an absolute credit to this hotel. From the moment we began our treatments, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease and as someone who suffers with anxiety this meant a lot to me. It was so refreshing to have someone so passionate and enthusiastic about their job, who went above and beyond to chat away to me about our interests. I would have booked back to this hotel based purely on the outstanding service I received in the spa, but everything else makes me even more keen to return. Thank you to all for an amazing stay! Emma
Nice enough rooms and good location for the Hydro, SECC etc but really badly let down, angry and disappointed by the hotels handling of the extreme circumstances created by the COVID -19 Pandemic. My partner and I had booked Friday 13th and Saturday 14th March 2020 to stay over in the hotel at a cost of £240.00. The reason for the booking was to provide us accomodation while attending a 3 day music event at the nearby Hydro. Unfortunately due to the pandemic the event was cancelled on the evening of Thursday 12th March the day before our booking. I immediately contacted the hotel and advised them of the circumstances regarding the event and asked to cancel the room as we had no requirement for it as there was no event to attend. The hotel advised that they couldn't refund as the money had already been taken from our account and that we would have to contact Booking.com to arrange a refund as they were the booking agent. As advised we contacted Booking.com who as expected advised us it was down to the hotel to refund as they were the ones receiving the money. I could very quickly sense the buck passing was not going to bring a positive result for us. Once again I contacted the hotel and got the same short shrift and absolutely no sympathy or acceptable level of customer care from them. As my partner is a Glasgow girl anyway and considering there was no event for us to attend we were not going to stay on the Friday and also not going to give the hotel the opportunity to make any more money from renting the room out so to ensure they couldn't do that we drove the short journey to the hotel and secured the room keys before heading back home for the night. While enroute my partner checked our bank account and discovered that the hotel or booking.com had just taken the money for the room that day and not on the previous day as they had twice told me......not only greedy and unsympathetic but blatantly lying to clients is appalling!! Because we had a related event on in Glasgow from noon until 4pm on the Saturday we used the hotel room overnight on the Saturday but did not pay to use the gym, did not eat or pay for dinner, did not eat or pay for breakfast and never even bought a drink in their bar!!! In actual fact we took a bottle of rum and ordered a chinese carry out due to sheer anger and determination to not let the hotel profit any more from our unfortunate circumstances!! Be rest assured that because of the manner in which this scenario was dealt with I will NEVER, EVER use a Village hotel anywhere again and i will not recommend the chain to anyone who ever asks! People are going through a difficult enough time just now without losing out on a significant sum of money being paid out for rooms no longer required......shame on you Village Hotel for the exploitation of peoples misfortune, especially when all of the other hotel chains in that area refunded clients or allowed the booking dates to be changed.....Village Hotel wouldnt even
Stayed at pacific quay for a night, due to a funeral. After a journey from birmingham we got here late at night. Due to the work that is being carried out at the hotel, we struggled to find the premier inn! So I rang the hotel, the lady at reception was very helpful and apologised because there is no lighting or signs. Once at the hotel the same receptionist checked us in, very polite and professional. Our room had a veiw of the river, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs which was nice the food was fresh and the service was also good. The next morning we had breakfast, which is all table service. The staff were helpful and polite, however the breakfast it’s self was a let down, it was cold! What a shame! Upon check out there was a rude receptionist, she didn’t bother asking us how our stay was, just told us to leave the key card in the box. We have stayed at this premier in many many time and have had a great service from a budget hotel, however on this occasion was slightly disappointed hence the 3*
Booked this hotel at the last minute. Ideally situated for the west end as I was attending an award ceremony. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Really good value too. Highly recommend. Thanks to the front of house staff.
Read books in Gera for two years. Every week I go shopping with my classmates through the doubletree. I held my dad for a few nights during the graduation ceremony. It is indeed the Hilton Hotel. . The service attitude is really good. Much better than the few hotels I stayed in London. Facilities are new and rooms are large. The front desk is fat! The elder brother is very handsome, thank you Mr. Robert Anton for helping us print the scanned file. Helped my dad with a lot of work. Next to it is the pedestrian street in the city center. There is a hot pot (seems to be closed). It is convenient for M & amp; S 100 points to lean over
We started our trip to Scotland in Edinburgh, but I wish we had begun in Glasgow. This is an amazing town, and the Seton Guest House is a great place to stay. Hosts Harry and Leslie are warm and welcoming, and always ready to answer questions about their town. Rooms are clean, modern, and well decorated and breakfasts are tasty. Harry and Leslie spent many years in America, so guests from the USA can enjoy some great conversations about both countries. I loved this part of our vacation!
Very good stay, because of the early arrival, the younger brother at the front desk was very enthusiastic to help contact whether to clean a good room, and moved in soon, thank you for the enthusiasm of the customer service. But the price changes quickly
The free parking lot is very large and will be very convenient for self-driving tourists. The front desk service is very good. About 40 minutes walk from the city, you can walk along the river, the scenery is good
Just left hotel this morning. Hotel room was lovely although don't think carpet matches the decor and gets very oosy quickly. I was really disappointed after telling hotel it was my 50th that there wasn't even a chocolate or anything in room as a surprise. I know it is covid times but if they are cleaning rooms anyway why not put a little thing in room at same time like a little chocolate? We stayed years ago and got little jelly beans and sweets but nothing this time. We went for meal and it was nice but service was slow slow slow. Sat down at 7.30pm didn't eat main meal till 8.40pm. We mentioned to staff member in restaurant about being my birthday and he brought 2 glasses of prosecco and little dessert to our room later which was a nice thought but my husband are it as it was too late for me at that time of night. Our breakfast in morning was a bit of disaster we only ordered crossants which were undercooked then 20 mins for new ones which were burnt so we were not charged for 2 boiled eggs and scrambled eggs and salmon. Very very slow service in the morning too although the lady serving us was very nice and very apologetic. Also I like to keep my little shampoo and conditioner etc as a souvenir of hotel but we couldn't do that as it's fixed to wall now but lady in restaurant managed to find me a couple to keep so that was a nice gesture. All in all the staff are trying their best in these circumstances but need to be a bit quicker in restaurant. Been twice to this hotel, it was nice but I don't think I will rush back.
We were made so welcome by Joe and found our room to be spotlessly clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes walk from the central train station. The hotel is located in the financial district of the city. The surrounding environment is safe and beautiful. The blend of modern and classic architectural styles is impressive. The rooms are spacious and the free drinks and snacks in the refrigerator are very warm. The surrounding night is quiet, which is good for jet lag.
A warm welcome awaited in spite of these strange pandemic times, when any hotel experience is different to 'normal'. First time I'd stayed at the Radisson Red, although in the past I've tried several other options around the Hydro / Armadillo venues where I often work (when there are shows and event running!). I love the contemporary design and sense of fun, the references to the area's history and other little internal decor surprises. I stayed in one of the corner suite rooms which had a great view out over the Clyde and the various landmarks along this stretch of the river including the Finnieston Crane. The room was large, light and very comfortable, the WIFI fast and free and the sleep top quality! While all the public spaces were shut due to reduced pandemic occupancy (only open for business travellers) ... the staff were super helpful with ensuring you had everything needed for a great stay! It will definitely be my first choice when I'm next back in Glasgow!
The room number is named after the wine. The rooms are large and the shower supplies are all brand-name. The restaurant produces delicious food and rich breakfast.
The city center is cheap and there is a bar on the first floor. And it's 20-30 meters away from the train station center where I'm going to the meeting. This geographical location is absolutely amazing. The house is consistent, always English, but the security is very good, there is a bathtub in it, but the heating is not sure if it is broken or I will not use it.
The location of the hotel is great! It's easy to get out from the train station, and it's close to the city center. It's very convenient to go out for a stroll! The hotel facilities are also very complete, very compact and very comfortable! We stayed for two nights, but the next day we found that the room was not cleaned and the bath towels were not changed. It was reported to the front desk that it would be better to do the room cleaning but did not come. So I went to the front desk and asked for two bath towels, but they didn't come. I went to the front desk and took me two. When we left the front desk, we asked our check-in feeling very warmly. We told the truth. The front desk explained that the hotel had room cleaning service only for three days. If this is the case, we are happy to accept it! Anyway, give a good comment!
The room is most afraid of booking, but this hotel is very convenient and convenient. It is close to the school to be visited. The hotel is an old hotel, the health is OK, the equipment is limited, the pillows are very comfortable and the street is a bit noisy. The standard room and the big bed have no choice but to set up the executive suite. Ctrip comes with pictures too much, describing the 30 square meters room to live two people! Didn't take the double bed of the second bedroom. The result was a surprise after the arrival. Multiple beds.... In short, everything is fine, it is a bit not soundproof. Ctrip introduction is different! I hope I can help you.
I am just home from a weekend staying at this hotel with a group of friends from all over the country. I have stayed here before and each time the room was immaculate, bed extremely comfortable, bathroom fully equipped with towels , toiletries, hairdryer etc. I have stayed in the annex rooms and the main hotel and happy with both. The staff however, are the what made my decision to give a 5 star review. Nicole assisted us all day and evening, chatted, laughed and put us all at ease. The cleaner in our conference room, who's name I didnt catch was very diligent, particularly as we have the Covid 19 situation, however, still took a moment to chat, show genuine interest in the conversation and indicated that nothing was too much trouble. After checkout we remained in the hotel for lunch, I had left something in my room and the staff took the time to check if I had been in the room and if the item was mine. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a conference, getaway, meal or just a drink in the bar and will certainly return.
The location of the hotel is good, very close to the shopping street and several train stations. Although it is an old hotel, but the decoration is not long, the room is large, spacious and clean, the bathroom is also very large, and with the kitchen, there are dishes, wine glasses, etc., there is an induction cooker (that is, no pot), with a range hood, microwave oven. Every floor of the breakfast is very high. In short, very good hotel, first-class service, first-class hardware, very willing to recommend.
A very good five star hotel with a very good service attitude. The location is in the city center, and it is also very close to the University of Glasgow. There are Mark & spencer supermarkets nearby for shopping. Family travel, etc. are good choices. If you book a hotel without breakfast, you can make a reservation the night before, the cost is 4,5 pounds cheaper than the day, and recently it is close to Christmas. I do n’t know if I ’m lucky, and I waived the breakfast fee. Very good experience!
it is good,. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The hotel is very close to the city center. To participate in the children's graduation ceremony, they need to wear formal clothes. After running a few laps, they are tired.
The Kelvin Hotel and the Argyll Hotel are two hotels belonging to the same company. The hotel owner is a Pakistani and is particularly friendly to Chinese people. The hotel is east of Glasgow University. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the university. The hotel accommodation fee includes breakfast. , Breakfast offers full Scottish meals, and the service is very attentive and enthusiastic. First of all, the location is good, it is very convenient to go to the city center. The hotel is very old, tall semi-circular windows, is my favorite style. Breakfast is average but tastes good, croissants are crispy, not the kind. The waiter is also very enthusiastic. Going early, I also check in in advance, in short, I am very satisfied with the experience of staying.
Old house, interior is full of Scottish style, free of charge, and wine, lobby service is very good, warm and courteous, providing storage service
Good, affordable, very close to Glasgow University and the Kelvingrove Art Museum... Old hotel, very convenient for travel, nearby restaurants, supermarkets. Clean and tidy, the staff are very welcoming, the breakfast is good 👍
Myself and my daughter arrived at the hotel on 14th August having booked and pre-paid for a deluxe room with 2 single beds only to be directed to a small double room 1 bed and smelt damp and stale. When I complained to reception I was told that they were fully booked for 14th and 15th august and could not give us the room which we had booked? I was disgusted as I have stayed here on previous occasions without a problem. They did mention that trip.com had passed on wrong information when securing our accommodation. They subsequently managed to give my daughter a single room for the night leaving myself in the stale one but at that stage I would have slept in the foyer but told us we would have to check out of our rooms in the morn until they could arrange alternate accommodation for us. The hotel staff also told us that they did not have a deluxe room with 2 single beds in a long time yet it was advertised on their website ??. We checked out of our rooms on the morning of 15th august and informed us that they would have a room for us in the afternoon. When we returned to the hotel later in the afternoon we eventually got another room which was a deluxe with twin beds!! Can't believe we were treated in this manner it really spoiled our wee break having travelled all the way from Ireland. Hope this doesn't happen another guest.
Very pleasant stay once again. Staff are very friendly and serve with a smile. We got the room we had requested from a previous visit which was excellent, and was very clean and bed comfortable as usual with a Smart TV which allowed us to steam YouTube rather than being stuck when freeview during our time in the room. Had a brief rude awakening at 4am on our 1st night due to other guests but overall didn't ruin our stay and will be returning again. Prices are very good value for money and hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre which is ideal.
This was my second stay here, on checking in the reception staff amended my room to the ground floor to save me carrying my bags up two flights of staiirs which i though was ver considerate. my room was small yet prefectly formed, it had all i needed for my stay. Warm bed clean bathroom and a ketlle for my morning cuppa. Breaksfasts were very good to with a wide range of cereals, yogourts cold meats and chesses as well as full cooked breakfast plus taos and Jam. if your weren't too hungry it was no trouble for you to have a lighter selction and the options for this were also very good. If you your looking for a clean compfortable place to rest your head after seeing the sights of scotland then i would recomend this guest house as the prices is very good for what it offers. I will stay again when i next visit. Well done all.
It is said that this hotel is good value for money. The location is really super, right next to George Square in the center. And not far from the train station. There is a pizzeria next to it that is super delicious and cheap. It seems to be the best pizzeria in the UK on trip advisor. The place where this hotel is not very popular is that the heating and air conditioning is not good, and it is a bit cold; there are a lot of fiber hairs left on the sheets after washing and drying. Although normal, it is still a bit uncomfortable
