Came in a tad too early for check in. We were greeted by 2 friendly abangs. One of them assisted us, apologising that we came in too early for check in. We had another 3 hours to spare. Hence, he directed us to the nearest shopping mall to kill some time. Do note check in is only after 3pm. But we were called in at 2:15pm saying that our rooms are ready for check in. Great enough! We were also greeted with the hotels community cat! Very cute & adorable.
Not for those fussy people. As the hotel is quite old & run down, our room carpets had stains on the floor. Cupboards are a little worn out. Certain electronics in the room like the minifridge & TV had issues but was managed to be solved by the maintenance guy. Aircon was working in great condition. Upon showering, I noticed a strand of hair hanging on the rack. It was definitely not ours as none of us had very curly maggi hair . Over breakfast, my mother & younger brother saw a cockroach over their counters, still alive 🤢. My mother was kind enough not to expose this to the guests, but just a word of warning from me.
Room had no paper & pen, but there was drinking water provided. Gym is rather small & the pool was meh. We didnt utilise the facilities. Lifts even though there was 3 in good working condition, but took quite awhile to arrive. The hotel has 2 restaurants for dine-in. They even have a few wedding halls for ceremonies. So expect it to be rather busy with the lifts 😅
Overall, a decent stay at the GBW Hotel. Given a second choice to stay, I wouldn’t as I prefer quality over price.
Located abt 10mins walk away from city square mall, some convenience shops found along the route, but around hotel not much local food stalls (maybe also cuz looks quite dark so we didn't explore much at night).
Amenities in the room working well, room spacious for 2, no bathtub just a shower. Didn't manage to get king room but we pushed the twin beds together and the next day housekeeping helped to change to single queen/king bedsheet without asking 🤭
The check in and check out was smooth however we requested to have a double beds for both rooms but we were given 2 single beds for both. The rooms were spacious but the sheets and comforters have stains. The room was a bit dark and some lights on the other room were not working. The towels provided does not seem clean and doesn’t smell good either. The breakfast buffet was good. There were a few options. We loved the juice and the kaya toast. The lift had difficulty closing a few times. The good thing about the hotel is the spacious rooms, they provide hot and cold drinking water. They provided water dispenser along the corridors. They also have an ironing area. The person in charge of the reception at the dining is very accommodating and friendly.
Dragon Inn Premium Hotel is located along Jalan Meldrum, a walking street in Johor Bahru’s city centre. It offers air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The Dragon Inn Premium Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from City Square Shopping Mall. Within 10 minutes on foot, guests can reach Little India, Plaza Kotaraya Shopping Centre, and the railway station. Sultan Ismail Airport is a 30-minute drive away. Each room at Dragon Inn is simply furnished and comes with an attached bathroom, which provides a hot and cold shower.
My husband and I so totally enjoyed our 3-night stay, very pleased to have discovered this lovely gem. Very well kept room and bathroom, clean sheets and towels everyday. Overall, the whole hotel was very clean. Staff is very polite, friendly and helpful - from Reception, Housekeeping to Security. Thank you all , keep up the good service. We had a cute little room, enough for 2 of us, (like who goes on holiday to stay inside the hotel room?) Definitely recommend this Belllo Hotel anytime. The eateries outside adds to the charm of Malaysian lifestyle. Nice and convenient, plenty of choices ..... although some coffe-shops should consider a good cleanup.
Hotel location is convenient as it is located around 5 mins drive from CIQ.Downstairs has quite many restaurants and shops. Nice sea view from the guest room and swimming. But cleanliness was the big issues here. Many ants and **** stains spotted on the toilet seats. Bathtub , kettle and wash basin were rusty. Cups , towels and bedsheet full of stains . But for the price paid, it is consider very cheap as quite a lot of facilities and nice view.
The decoration is very old and has some smell. You need to let the smell go in every day; the hygiene is quite clean; the sound of the air conditioner is a window machine, and the sound is relatively loud: the quilt is a layer of cloth, and there is a separate thin blanket; the location is in a pedestrian street, taxi It’s not very convenient. Many drivers don’t know it. There are subways and buses nearby. In general, the traffic is convenient; there are shopping places such as bugis around; the service is good; breakfast is relatively simple, and there is a Yabo Center nearby that is good for eating; Sim Lim Square nearby It is said that the water is deep, so please be cautious when shopping; there are no dental appliances, there are fewer charging ports, and no water is provided.
My family decided to take a short break in Hotel Fairmont Singapore instead of our usual June holiday travel.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable.
Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help!
All other sevice was exceptional as well.
If only there is one area that needs to improve is the bathroom. There was no proper hanger or hook to hang our clothes.
Also, the accommodation may not be very user friendly to the Malays. The toilet bowl especially is nor fitted with any water spray jet.
Overall, my family have a wonderful experience in our stay.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown at this Fairmont Hotel Singapore.
Thank you! Will definitely recommend to all our friends and colleagues!

Nightmare. Avoid this place at all costs. Worst hostel I've ever stayed in. It's filthy, squalid, and shockingly bad. I have reported the hostel to the Singapore health authorities, and have followed up on the report. I hope that Singapore government shuts it down. It's beyond scary. It is by far the filthiest hostel I have ever stayed in. The common facilities are disgusting. The urinals are broken and covered in plastic bags. The floors and surfaces were filthy with brown or black sticky substances and mold. The sink was clogged. The male washroom door was perpetually held open with a string cord so that some guests could dry their clothes, thereby violating any sense modesty of those using the showers as well as women passing by the door. The soap dispensers are broken. There was a pile of vomit on the table which was left overnight. There were guests / squatters sleeping on each of the couches throughout the hostel; I saw at least 4 squatters. The room itself had a leaky aircon pipe which dripped ice water on me as I tried to sleep. There were used bandaids wedged into the shower and a used rusty razor blade shoved into the shower's water heater. The hostel attracted the worst people, and most inconsiderate roommates. I've been hosteling for over 20 years and it's almost always been a positive experience. This was the hostel from hell. I hope Singapore health department does the right thing and shuts this down.
Booked the single room as a quick 2N getaway for the long Vesak Day weekend. Added breakfast at the restaurant for each day.
- Room was very clean. No visible stains. Standard room amenities were present.
- Business nature of hotel is apparent - solid desk for work, and Wi-Fi is fast and stable. Plenty of sockets available for devices.
- Breakfast at the restaurant was solid. Was a bit disappointed that the selection didn't change on the second day, though.
- Location meant easy access to food at Bugis Street area. Was able to walk to Rochor station within 3 minutes.
- Mini-fridge was damaged, and blanket was missing at first. Replacements arrived after around 20 minutes from call to housekeeping.
- Television was rather grainy in quality, and channel selection was limited.
- Ended up being given a wheelchair accessible room. While the room was a bit more spacious than normal, the curtained off washroom area made it feel a bit like a hospital ward.
- Great place if you're here for a business trip, or if you want to explore the area for a day or two. You might want to consider somewhere more luxurious if you want a relax-cation for longer.
the hostel is considerably clean, smells good, nicely designed, very aesthetic and cozy. the toilet is also very clean and maintained which i appreciate. the staff was very helpful and replied to my message and enquiries fast. the only thing im not quite satisfied is the poor noise insulation, but thankfully my neighbour rooms were not noisy
Great location, walking distance from Imbiah Station thus very convenient to take the train to the Beach as well as the Resort World. 🏖️
Exquisite & conial style design. It' s clean & tidy, thanks to the housekeeping staff Mohan & Jack.👏🏻
The friendly, professional, helpful staff really made our stay so warm & memorable. A big thank you to Aaron, Jeffrey, Din, Diana, Emily, JiaMing,Tono, Adkin, Danish and all who served us with enthusiasm & personal touch.👍🏻
The Living Room(lounge access):
Breakfast is delicious, hearty & healthy. Daily evening cocktail🍹 session pampered us with unlimited beverages & delicious bite-size canapes. This is definitely a highlight for our stay.✨
Upon learning that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the hotel surprised us with a box of truffles & a small cake. It really touched our hearts with such a thoughtful gesture 🥰
As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.
Been to this hotel a few times. I like the location and the room is much bigger than many of the new hotels. Is not really a luxury hotel but comfortable. Location is good as walking distance from dhoby ghaut mrt. Also good to know that proceed is for charitable projects.
Located right next to a bus stop and a 5-minute walk from a MRT station, this budget hotel screams value. Two restaurants right at the ground floor of the premises and a very famous Indian restaurant (A2B) within 3 minutes walk away, good food is very close by. Mustafa centra is a 5-minute walk. A no-frills, impeccably clean hotel in a great location - excellent value for money. We stayed there for 9 nights and every morning the cleaning team was prompt to leave our room blushing clean. My request for extra towels were immediately taken care of and seen through all 9 days. 24-hour hot water and air-conditioning were top-notch. Special shout-out to Ms Pam and Richard at the front desk who gave us wonderful tips about their country and made us feel right at home. The room cleaning persons (sorry, I missed taking their names) did a fabulous job every single day! I was travelling with 2 young kids and had requested a room on a higher floor with a double bed. They were able to accommodate me on their 7th floor (not noisy at night) but could provide me with only twin beds. This was a minor blip in the otherwise exceptional service provided my the hotel. Rooms near the lift tend to be a bit noisy throughout the day. Room # 710 was great - 7th floor and far from the lift. I'd recommend this place again to anyone looking for a no-frills budget hotel in a great location.
Clean.. comfort... water preassure is very good.😋. Room is quite spacious... if you travel with a family like me and on budget... this is my kind of place... will come here again and next time i will extra comforter.
Forgot to bring charger, they're able to borrow me. Hotel staff quite friendly, they're willing to help me to collect my grab food and send it to my room. Thanks for your help and service, I appreciate it.
Check in was smooth. Everyone was approachable and answered our questions patiently. Breakfast was amazing with a huge spread and ample seating. Room is big, bathtub a bit high but with handle to hold to climb in and out. Aircon blew directly at pillows so it was a bit cold. Lots of space to put things. Pool is beautiful and slides fun for both adults and kids. Location super near food and entertainment.
Ya that is true according to my wording if you dont have any other option then you can stay here othere please avoid. i stayed here for 1 night, but almost not comfertable, before i checked in a room when i layed down on my bed, it is keep on moving i asked to change my room and they did it but the room is not same like before but bed still moving some time. the cleanness of also not up to the mark. and they charged for wifi to heard, i was socked and the funny things is that you can use only one device with one password so you you would like to use aother device you have to buy another password. thats all ok but still after paying the wifi is not woking good. staff also lalking bit rude. At last for me sorry to say but not value for money. will never back with this property.
Located off Orchard, Newton and Stevens. It's not as well placed as other hotels. Shuttle bus service is present but I didn't manage to see its efficiency. Bus stop is close by and closest MRT requires 10 mins of walking.
Nearby food options aren't aplenty but there is a 711 located at the neighboring Novotel lobby.
Hotel looks refined and is very clean and classy. Amenities are well maintained and shower pressure is amazing.
No Netflix or YouTube, but there is HBO, Cinema world and local channels. MTV and sports channel were present but inaccessible. Slippers and hair dryer present. Good lighting and full length windows too.
Arrived around 5pm and staff couldn't locate my booking. Offered me to take a seat only after 10 mins of making me wait at the counter and basically declaring to the other guests that he couldn't find my booking.
Staff continued checking other guests in and didn't provide any updates about my room's status until I personally went over to the counter and addressed him by name. Imagine if I had waited for an hour, I still wouldn't have gotten my room. I HAD to go over.
No info given about pool or gym usage and breakfast. It's a nice hotel, but shame about service standards. Just to clarify that staff wasn't rude. He was just not well trained and it was a shame, the other staff didn't step forward to assist.
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO LOVINGG THISSSS HOTEL! The staff were friendly & respectful.Very nice hotel.Tho my room view was not nice at all but I had a pleasant stay and DEFINITELY will come back here for my next staycay.Very clean & well equipped hotel.Location is good hungry at night not to worry mcdonald 7/11 all nearby.
Fantastic customer services. Left my iPad at the hotel and the management team arranged to deliver it to me at the airport in the middle of the night. Their WhatsApp representatives standby all day and offer timely help to any problems. Really grateful and impressed by all the assistance.
Well located, really nice staff for everything, including informations. Bed was comfortable, good shower, breakfast simple but ok. The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. To take the bus via Malaysia, walk via Jelan Besar, turn left and right on Weld Road, it will be on your right (3.5MYR)
The location is abit outskirt of orchard road. However the hotel did provides free shuttle service on half an hour interval to orchard area. Rooms are clean, and newly renovated as the hotel is new. The buffet breakfast is normal. But they do service quality premium coffee and teas. I was v surprise that there are no toast breads and pancakes/waffles provided for their breakfast spread. Breakfast serving is more catered for Asian where there are noodle soups and dim sums such as buns and lotus glutinous rice. The hotel has put all guests from Novotel and Mercure in the same restaurant for breakfast where it sometimes gets v crowded especially at peak hours between 8-9am. So be early for your breakfast if you do not want to wait for a table. It seems like both hotel guests get the same amenities such as accessible to infinity pool @ Novotel tower except with different room’s category. Where I think previously, Mercure guests are not allowed to do so. As both hotel charged at different room rates, I think it is a little unfair for people who stays in Novotel as both Novotel and Mercure are at different class of hotel categories.
Booked this place twice as the location was very good. Check in was fast and smooth just needed to fill in a form and photocopy ic. A $50 deposit is required as well. Room has a private toilet and hot water is available. Free bottled water too and bed is comfy. Overall quite clean but not for the fussy.
This was an overnight stay and we (two mature aged Australian couples) arrived from India very early on the first day (around 7.25 am). The hotel staff allowed us to check in very early. There were two couples and two people were unwell. So if we had needed to sit around for many hours awaiting a room it would have been painful. But the hotel counter staff said ”It is very early but we are flexible here and we will try to get your rooms ready ASAP”. One couple were in their room by about 8.30am and we got ours about 9.45am. This was excellent service and above and beyond normal expectations. The rooms are small but everything works: clean, nice bathroom, air-con, comfy beds, safe, tea making facilities, hairdryer, Wifi etc....all inclusive and working well. Very pleased and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on an overnight stay or a short stay in Singapore and not wanting to spend a fortune on expensive hotels. They ring taxis for you and the cost to the airport was only about $10AUD.
We had a 3 days 2 nights stay in this hotel. It was our first time staying here. The location is stretegically located within the prime area. The transportation was very convenient too. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet spread in the hotel these 2 mornings. My mum loved the food especially the bread and salad. The food was being served hot and nice. We missed the Ah Yat Abalone Restaurant which was located inside the hotel. We have also made full usage of the facilities e. g the swimming pool too. But l find that the pool is a bit small and if only we do not need to use the spiral staircase to the Swimming Pool as my mum have some difficulties climbing up and down the stairs too. The staff was friendly and nice as they have attended to our special needs. E. g the toilet was choked and the plumber came to look into the issue twice. The hotel room was okay except that the sofa have some permanent stains on it. But we have forgotten to ask for separate beds as both my mum and me tucked in for bed at different timings. Nevertheless, both of us slept well. We enjoyed watching TV channels like HBO and Phoenix and of course our local 🇸🇬 channels too as well. Thank you for making our stay comfortable. Might consider to put up our StayCation over here once again soon in months' time.
Had a great time staying here for three nights during an extended trip to Singapore. Each cubicle is spacious enough that you won't feel too cramped and the bathrooms were extremely clean and well-kept. Location is a 5 minute walk from one of the MRT stations (Bendemeer I think) and there is a 7-11 and other conveniences right across the street. Extremely well-kept common area and the wifi was very good. Overall enjoyed it and would no doubt choose it again if I end up in the Lion City in the near future.
The location is very near haji lane a lot of food varieties
The counter staff was really nice and housekeeping was good
One of our twin bedding’s had stains on it but the bed was still comfortable.
There are not much amenities in the hotel.
Hotel is refurbished and was previously known as Elizabeth Hotel. It is located right next to its sister property Quincy Hotel, and shares the basement carpark.
Location is quiet, but just 5-10 minutes' walk from Orchard Road (take the shortcut through York Hotel and Goodwood Hotel's carparks to get to Scotts Road, then turn left and straight to Orchard, including the MRT station).
Premier room was nice, but can still see some wear and tear, especially in the toilet. Only 1 desk chair for sitting. Overall, a bit smaller than I expected, but comfortable enough for 2. King bed was a bit hard for me, but pillows had mix of soft and firm, which I liked. Shower only, but had both handheld and rainfall shower heads. Can drink straight from tap. Usual toiletries, including toothbrush/toothpaste and shaving kit provided. No comb. Can request for face towels.
Breakfast is by order with free flow, self-service coffee/tea/juices. Fairly decent in taste.
Service is excellent, with greetings whenever I passed through the lobby and good effort to meet my requests.
Didn't try the pool, but just a note that it appears larger in the photos compared to in real life (to me anyway).
Trip.com had best deal at my time of purchase.
Recommended for a quiet stay with easy access to Orchard + public transport with a bit of walking. Also easy access to Mount Elizabeth Hospital down the road for medical tourists.
Only main issue is complimentary parking is not available for in-house guests even though it is a 5D4N stay. Parking is very expensive, about $3 per hour. About 10min-15min walk to the nearest mall Jcube. About 20min-25min walk to JE MRT.
But the room is spacious. Hotel also provides the 2 Queen Beds as requested which allows the 3 adults to sleep very comfortably.
Brought my parents for one day staycation. I decided a place where we hardly go to have that away from home feel. We stay Jurong West. There are many choices near Arcadia but it was Arcadia family room (with window) that attracted me. However, was disappointed as the reception informed that there only 1 of such room and was taken. Felt cheated and that the money was not well spent.
Location is great , near many food places & you can feel the weekend mood there . However the room can be improved? External is nice but not really on the interior or is it because I didn’t upgrade for club room access..
The bed needs a replacement ? Everytime I sit on it , there is a sound . Is not stable 😰 secondly the toilet bowl , it also makes a sound when I sat on it . & the drainage , there is white substance on it , not sure if it’s toothpaste or ? & the shower had a weird smell & the shower floor is dirty .. Not sure if is fully booked or the cleaning was done quickly that they missed out on what I’ve mentioned .. I had to wait to get my room keys after I registered . & i didn’t get up to check on it , it would be endless waiting ?
The four of us stayed here on our visit to singapore. The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.
Service is so so not very up to standard but cannot expect much as it's a budget hotel, staffs are accommodative to our request that's the good part about it ,other than that the place is a bit small and table not big enough to put food etc ,tv had no remote control ,bathroom was much too small
