The location is OK, two stations away from Serangoon MRT, more than ten minutes walk. The room has a window, but it can't be opened. There is a smell in the room. This is very uncomfortable! Can be stored for salute, the front desk service is quite good.FromUS$44.00

Almost there every week or minimum every other week. I know the staff well and vice versa. But was upset when one staff said I have to leave a deposit of $100 because the booking from Trips.com hadn’t arrived. I mean, most of them knew me. Does he think I would run? This isn’t the way to treat very regular customers like us who also gives great reviews here.

Nice view and nice room, unfortunately the NTUC is closed. The hotel reception staffs are nice but customer service in other part of the resorts can be improved. Guests are free to use the bunker pool in front of the hotel but if they want to use the fun pool, they need to walk all the way to the end of the resort to register names. Even after registering, we were told that we can only use the pool after 6.30 pm due an on going swimming class which only take a small part of the pool. The following day when we registered our names to use the fun pool again, we were told that we can only use the pool for one hour only (there is not a single soul using the pool at the time). It does not cost any money to be nicer to the hotel guests instead of making them feel like a second class citizen. We are after all a paying customer. Hope the management can look into this. I love this hotel so much. However there were two things that upset me.
1) person at check in was unfriendly. Did not even explain to me about the hotel facilities or whatever things that I needed to know. I was not aware if I was being upgraded or not?? My package stated there will be a complimentary upgrade to the next category.
2) I was woken up by the maintenance work beside my room. The engineering team was ignorant while doing their preventive measures. Kept going in and out of the room and was making so much noise. Thankfully I called the reception and the lady who answered the phone was nice enough to help rectify the issue.
So overall I’m happy with my stay. Only the service needs to be improved! FromUS$61.00

booked a birthday BBQ for friends and it was just alright to say. the room on the upper floor was small enough Just to fit 4 beds (we booked a quad room). the air-con was blast (a friend said that was the best functioning thing). TV was not working properly but we didn't use it anyway. we booked for 2 nights. on the 2nd day morning, housekeeping wanted to clean the room which we said it was fine as we didn't want to trouble them for the mess. the cleaning staffs were all very friendly. things to take note for the $100 deposit. do not pay by nets as there is a service charge of $1. the refund you $100 cash. o work in hotels and I have never encountered this system as everyone pays by credit card for deposits. also, very slow service. we ordered induction cooker and it came after 2 hours and a few more calls to the reception. it was already 7pm. there is a 24hrs shop for BBQ essentials which is good. we wanted to have a late check out. called reception and they said they have to check and ask us to call back in 5 minutes which I did. I was told that the room is booked and we can't have late check out. as I told them that we would pay the late check out fee till 3pm, without hesitation, I was told that u can come to reception to make payment via nets and I can check out at 3pm. very money minded. place looks rundown. can get better value or money at other resorts in pasir ris. would not recommend this place to anyone. all payments have to be made on the on the spot via nets or cash only. I had stayed for a month in urban hostel, I found the staff team amazing and very well organizedw they were always available to help you on the diferent necessities. It's also notable the cleaning level of all spaces, also they are spacy except the kitchen area, also It was a surprised when the staff organized a Halloween party for the guests with some delicious food, that's so unique in hostel world. I just checked out of the hotel an hour ago after a two days stay, to be closed to the location of my project. What I needed were all assessable and met my expectations of a budget hotel that charges SGD81 on off peak and SGD109 on peak season. The bed and washroom were tidied up and cleaned immediately or rather soon after I walked out of the hotel for work. It's a very quite and "non-intrusive" hotel that gives you a lot of privacy. However, if you need something, like an extra bottle of water, a towel or a phone charger, the receptionist will very quickly send it up to your room with just a phone call. You feel "cut out" from the hussle-bussle of the outside world when you return from work. Yet looking out of the window you can spot places you want to go for dinner after a nice warm shower. Cleanliness is maintained very consistently as I have stay weeks in a row in the past one year or more. The staffs than to remember their regular guest and will automatically offer you the best discounted rate possible upon your check in, without reservation. I will recommend this hotel to travellers, business or leisure, who is budget conscious and do not spend much time in the room but expect a nice relaxing rest when you return.FromUS$36.00

Due to travelling restrictions, my husband and I are confined to looking for staycation as our honeymoon after we got married this year. We had a really enjoyable stay in Shangri-la. We requested for earlier check-in at 12PM and was told that it will be subject to availability. When we arrive at the hotel at around 12PM, we were pleasantly surprised to be told that we are given a free upgrade to Valley Wing Deluxe Room and given access to the exclusive lounge with drinks, high tea and canapés available for us.
We had our dinner later on at Waterfall Restaurant which was part of the package that we bought on Trip.com. The 3-course meal that we had was really delicious with great atmosphere as we were seated outdoors at the pool side.
The service provided to us was impeccable. Perhaps the only small downside is the accessibility of the hotel if you don't drive. We pretty much stayed in the hotel during our entire trip so it wasnt really a big factor.
Would love to visit Shangri-la again in future :)

I booked for my fiancé's birthday and in lieu to celebrate New Years. Firstly, early check in was given as to prevent the crowd during the New Years Eve. Very smart move made by the hotel which I am very thankful for! It helps to control the crowd.
Trip.com has emailed me to WhatsApp the hotel as were told by the hotel to request for early check in. Replies by the hotel staffs were fast too!
After checking in, I called to reserve the pool but it was sad I could not go as it was raining! The room was rather small but that's fine by me! The shampoo and body wash given smells nice! I usually do not use hotel's shampoo/bodywash but this hotel's toiletries was quite nice! The view from the toiler was not bad too! You need to of course close the blind to have a private shower. Was given free macaroons delivered by the robots to my room as it was my fiancé's birthday! Super kind gesture made by the hotel staffs! We were super touched!
The next day, when I went down to pick up my breakfast as I choose to take away(can select to dine in or take away), the staff could not find my breakfast order as my breakfast order was misplaced by one of the staffs (the one I gave my order sheet to) But that's okay because I did not mind waiting for them to pack my food again.
I was also granted late check out!
Overall, pleasant stay! The team was all very friendly and approachable. Thank you!

Actually requested for highest floor with amazing view but they didn’t fulfil my request. It’s okay, they also mention to make advance booking for swimming pool and so we did, but pool is fully booked, felt so disappointed. During check in we try our luck again for the pool, lucky there is last 3 slot of us. Around 7pm went swimming, but no one was there. (Wonder why they say it’s fully book) 😕 In the afternoon try to make booking for pool again, again they say fully book. We didn’t bother to go down to check.
Aside from that, we do appreciate the gifts that comes in the package that include late check out at 6pm, inclusive of breakfast and semi lunch buffet for 2 adults. Room was very spacious and clean. Overall we are happy with our stay there. Definitely we come again.

Great service by all staff upon check-in, at the gym & swimming pool, at breakfast, housekeeping & also upon check-out. Very happy we received free upgrade for our room and it had a beautiful view in the bedroom & also in the huge bathroom with bathtub! We even received a brownie for our anniversary celebration.
F&B staff at breakfast were friendly and accommodating but the food quality and variety can be improved for the breakfast set menu since there is no buffet now. Gym & swimming pool was clean and easy to book. Wonderful location of hotel and complimentary parking was a bonus. Thank you for the wonderful stay :)

There was a 3-hour delay in checking-in but we were reasonably compensated in the form of complimentary parking and dining credits. Kudos to the front desk and concierge staff who were efficient and patient, especially with some unreasonable guests (no need to make things difficult for those who are trying to make your stay better). Food quality of in room dining was good and the safety measure was well managed at the pool. Thank you to all that have served us during our stay, you are Awesome!
Just one thing not so pleasant thou, the service attitude of a particular male staff at Ash and Elm was rather bad that’s why we decided not to dine there. Seemed like somethings don’t change (bad experience with Ash and Elm years back), so except for the restaurant, we would love to come back again 😁

Beds were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff service was friendly and professional. After the 1st night, was woken up by drilling and hammering noises at 9 plus in the morning. Breakfast in room dining was ordered at 930am, arrived at 1150am as in doom dining department could not cope w the huge amount of orders. Was informed that our breakfast would arrive at 1130am. So first day, wasn't impressed w renovation noises that disrupted our sleep and a breakfast that was more of brunch. Did request for room change and was given another room. Air conditioning in the new room was not working well n had to request for a fan. Overall, the old building and maintenance of the hotel would place it as a 4 star hotel rather than a 5-star rating.
