To the lazy&comfortable or people with disabilities: this Hotel does not have an elevator and rooms go up to 4 floors. Clean, bright rooms. Very nice bathroom. Bath robes and slippers included. At least in the Deluxe room, which we stayed in. We didn't experience any trouble with hot water in the bath, or any undesirable smells from the drain. It was cold outside (-3C - +5C), but inside there is an effective radiator, which we even had to set to a lower temp. twice, because the room was getting too warm. Staff is helpful and speak good english. Breakfast includes different sorts of youghurt, bread, cold cuts, cereal, jam, fruits, juices, pastries, olives, feta, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, sausages, warm vegetables, salad. There is a coffee machine, the coffee is decent. You can also make freshly squeezed orange juice. The Breakfast room was pretty small, but it wasn't even halfway full any time we were there. Location of the Hotel is perfect, in the heart of the old town, walking distance to all the attractions. On the 4th floor we did not experiences any noise from neighbours or from the streets. It even rained very heavily because of the storm Ciara, but we didn't notice anything before waking up in the morning. The Hotel has Wi-Fi, but we didn't need to use it, so I don't know how well it works. The Amberton Hotel has everything you need and is very nice place to stay, if you're not expecting marble table tops, golden taps and satin sheets.

The Daugirdas Hotel has been cleverly enlarged by attaching a modern building to the back of the 16th century town house by a glassed-over section, which makes for a large, well-lit lobby and charming little bar area, on our visit filled with a superb Christmas tree (and excellent Christmas decorations). Located on the edge of Old Town, a short walk from the castle and town square, For comfort I give it 10/10: the bed - could not be faulted. The room was large, with a decent-sized TV (you've not lived until you've enjoyed Baltic pop!), and the lighting was good. The over-bath shower was excellent - powerful and easily controlled (and that's not as common as one might expect). Breakfast was the usual well-stocked Eastern European-style buffet, with the addition of freshly cooked eggs, bacon and sausage on request. The hotel's own restaurant, l'Artisan, is a gourmet experience: I couldn't recommended it - or the service - highly enough. The Daugirdas Hotel was exactly what we'd hoped: it's not overwhelmingly luxurious (although the bed is) but it is wonderfully well located and filled with history and atmosphere, with helpful, friendly (English-speaking) staff.

I have been staying here with our colleagues from the Netherlands. What a lovely time we had: so new, clean and sparkling, designed with comfort and beauty in mind. It is right on the edge of Old Town and Historic Town Center, loads of eateries, attractions and all walking distance. Myself and partners are very thankful for advice from staff too.

The hotel is in an old building, but the renovation is very modern. The rooms are small (small in Europe) clean, comfortable and quiet. It is close to the pedestrian street and not far from attractions such as the City Hall. It is a good value for money hotel. Breakfast is quite satisfactory.

My partner and I are checking out of the Kaunas City Hotel tomorrow after spending the week here. We came to Kaunas for Nordesthetics Clinic and were recommended the hotel by the clinic staff a few months ago. The location of the hotel is lovely, the street outside is both quiet and busy, there is the gentle bustle of the day and it’s as peaceful as you could imagine in the evening. You really can spend a few hours just people watching from the room. I believe I am in a good position to leave a review as due to covid we were restricted to only be allowed to leave the hotel to go to the Nords clinic, so Iv spent some time in the room this week that’s for sure :) The hotel is not just clean, it is absolutely spotless. The air conditioning works perfectly and in the rooms you have a fully operational fridge (mini bar), various sockets, lamps and a tv. If you want a kettle just ask at reception, the staff here are so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is fine, we actually bought croissants from the Barbosa app so just had breakfast once (€4 for continental which is reasonable). The food delivery app Wolt delivers quickly to the hotel and there’s plenty of parking to the rear if you have a vehicle. Directly below the hotel is a convenience store and a few cafes too which is handy. None of these generate any noise up to the rooms. Our flight isn’t until quite late and we were permitted a late checkout for a minimal charge too which was brilliant. We both had appointments at the Nordesthetics clinic this week and have found the facilities at the hotel perfect, even when tender post operations. In room 207 you will not need a lightbulb in the bathroom...it’s bright yellow but really somehow it’s pretty cool. Both my fiancé and I are thankful that we decided to listen to the clinics recommendation and stay here for our visit. Thank you so much to all the staff members, I do hope we manage to return.

These are great little apartments to stay in while visiting Kaunas. They’re spotlessly clean and comfortable. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped so that you can throw together some basic meals. The location is directly on the main drag. The people running it are on site most of the day, are very helpful, and speak excellent English. Overall, good stay.

This is the worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in. I stayed for 6 nights and believe me, if you book this hotel you will have a horrible experience. This is a very old, outdated and dirty hotel. Except for one women in the front desk, the staff in general are ice-cold and not helpful. The day I arrived the room was really hot, and the air conditioning was not working. The maintenance staff came and admitted that in my and two adjacent rooms the air conditioning had not been working for a while. When I requested a change of room, I was told that the hotel was full and that they will see if it would be possible to move me the next day. So I had to stay in this room the first night, and I could barely sleep because of the high temperature of the room. The next day I was moved to another room, but the air conditioning was barely working. On top of that the new room had this really humid odor, that stayed in it for the rest of the week. The cleaning lady does a horrible job, and you never feel that the room has been cleaned. They just straighten up the covers, and don’t even place the pillows correctly. I was all the time with the sensation that everything in the room was dirty. The only reason I stayed in this hotel is that it was at close distant to the venue of a meeting I was attending, and all other hotels in the area were booked for at least one of the nights I was going to be in Kaunas. Believe me, don’t book this hotel. You will regret it!!

The hotel's basic facilities are still in line with the 3-4 star hotel standard. This time, 5 suites were booked. At the hotel check-in, only 3 suites were told. The other 2 rooms can only be arranged with standard rooms. You can only contact Ctrip. Customer service, fortunately, Ctrip's customer service can maintain 24-hour service, international phone communication for nearly half an hour, the hotel reply suite is full, can not be arranged, willing to refund the difference, and gave two 40 euro hotel dinner coupons, but we are After dinner, I went to the hotel to check in. I returned the two meal coupons to the hotel. When I left the store the next day, the person in charge of the hotel reception gave two bottles of red wine to the guests, indicating that the hotel was actively making up for its own fault. This is affirmative.

I've been here for the weekend and everything was almost perfect. The receptionist was very kind and she led us to the room after registration. The room was cozy and warm, just there was a very small window, but we already knew about that. The standard rooms are under the roof. Bathroom with everything needed. Everything very clean. The only small problem we found is that probably only in weekends, near the monastery in the evening there is meeting of some young guys that like to make a lot of noise with their cars. Not far there is even the railway, but sure with closed windows nothing could bother us. The morning wakeup was very quiet, with the only chirping of birds. Breakfast a la carte included in the price was just wonderful, with Benedict eggs, selection of meat and cheese followed by bread nad butter and a freshly cut fruti mix. Do not expect some huge buffet with low quality food! I was lucky to find a good offer, so quality/price was just great. Probably we'll be back if we return in Kaunas.

We have visited hotel on very busy weekend and it was a bit too noisy. Hotel is good for families with children, but not so much for the couples. Hotel itself needs of restoration, but have really nice SPA area and the pool outside with worm water. You should order Princess pool in the SPA as it is really nice private small pool with very beautiful interior. The worst part is the restaurant, they have just few dishes in the menu and there is food is far more expensive than it should be for the quality. The price for the accommodation I think is a bit too hight but still the stay was quite nice and relaxing. The staff was really friendly and supportive.

The location of the hotel is excellent and it relatively new and modern. The rooms are spacious and with a lot of modern features and the large balconies are great. However, our stay has not been perfect and there is room for improvement: 1. Water pressure is horrible! Our room was on the 4th floor and we were not able to properly wash our hair with a very weak water pressure. 2. Housekeeping got to our room very late in the day (after coming back from our day trip) so they couldn't clean the room properly. 3. Breakfast was plentiful, yet far from being great. The food and coffee quality was mediocre minus. 4. Payment: We were under the assumption that we will be able to pay for the room in person at the hotel. Instead the hotel pre-charged my credit card 700 euros without giving me the option to use a different card or to use cash at the hotel. Be aware of their policy! This hotel is suitable for families. For adults without kids I suggest to look elsewhere.

Extremely helpful staff, excellent customer service- it will always be our first choice for stay when visiting Palanga. This weekend was supposed to be my mothers birthday celebration- I have booked two rooms (one for my parents and one for me, husband and our 3 year old daughter). It all went differently, not as we planned, as I was placed in the hospital (Early labour). Not only we were allowed to cancel one of the reservations for free, but my parents and my daughter were warmly welcome - Ramunas at the reception was extremely helpful and courteous. Your hotel is No1 choice for our family anytime we shall visit Palanga. Thank you! (In the picture my mother and my daughter enjoying breAkfast at the hotel).

We stayed in the hotel back in October and had an amazing welcome. Having travelled with kids, arrived late we had rooms ready with food (sandwiches and fruits) which was exceptionally nice touch. Breakfast had great choice and Olga was very accommodating and pleasant helping out with special dietary requirements for kids. We have returned there again for business dinner this year and there was amazing choice of dishes. Our big group all ordered separate menu and I have to say, hands down best food from all holiday. Beats Palanga Spa or any gourmet kitchen anytime! Ruta was really nice and patient with many different requests, food arrived quick, presentation and taste was exceptional.

A very stylish hotel, the building is quite old so the decorations and furniture match the style very well. The deluxe room is really spacious, with a coffee table and comfortable armchairs, there is even a bookcase with books, which makes it look very cosy and homely. The bathroom is also pretty functional. On the downside, breakfast wasn't the best, I missed scrambled eggs, there were only sunny-side-up eggs and a strange omelette, which looked more like a cake (not very good), but that's my personal preference. We don't like getting up early, so we descended for breakfast about 20-30 minutes before the end and unfortunately some things had been already gone. On the plus side, the restaurant has two coffee makers and several types of coffee to choose from (including my favourite cappuccino).

Firstly, very good central location of the hotel - old town and sea port is at the walking distance. Convenient parking. Top cleanliness of room, common areas and dining room. Our room and bathroom were very spacious. Breakfast was tasteful and variety was sufficient for kids and adults. On the other hand, the quality of pillows was disappointing. The ones we received, were too way too flat, there was barely any content inside the pillow. It was very uncomfortable to sleep. Another remark - reception employees should meet and greet guests with a smile. In two days I haven't received any smiley face from the staff.

When arrived the hotel was easy to find and there were sufficient parking for the guest, the staff in the reception was friendly and fast as keys was prepared, the rooms was end of season so cold and heating didn’t work, even when informing the reception for several days they still didn’t manage to make the room warm and bathroom had cold water until the kettle was plugged in and started to heat. The Windows are not tight so always cold and fresh air gave a good draft so luckily there was several blankets so didn’t have to freeze at night. Breakfast was ok the omelet quiet nice but in a place like this no fresh bread or buns and only a small domestic toaster for the all the guests.
