|1.47km from city centerI travel a lot for work, so I'm quite used to hotels and hostels. But this hostel deserves extra value. The staff is very friendly - they help in everything and respond quickly. The rooms are inpecable - very clean and it seems to keep everything in detail. I have been very frozen and I repeat certainly. The location is another point for you - only 120m from the beach and sea walk. TOP

|0.48km from city centerHotel location is good, right at the beach, the balcony is large to see the side sea view, in the morning you can see the sunrise on the balcony! The hotel has a parking lot but it is charged. When checking in, tell him that he will give you the electronic key of the parking lot gate, so only the hotel guests can enter the underground parking lot to ensure the safety of the hotel. The room is also quite large, there is no electric kettle, but there is a pot to use it to boil water. In short, it is a very cost-effective hotel! Recommended to stay!

|0.43km from city centerStayed in a single room, was quite large with a 4 ft bed. Quirky layout of rooms, some overlook a courtyard, some just in a passage, no balconies. At 2 or 3 euro I'd take it. Handy for Station, Port, Fish Alley. Couldn't fault it really, I will be back. Arrived early, reception very good. Room was ready and fridge already in room. Fridge is free, but not always enough t o go round. Air con failed after a few days, moved to a double room no problem. Massive place with park bench, wishing well and street lamps outside my room. Pool was closed because Corona, all staff are excellent. There's a Spanish tapas bar underneath, closed at 4 pm though. I went room only, but check the breakfast price, I have seen it at 2-50, but was 5 euro on my booking.

|0.63km from city centerJust returned from el pourto ,after reading some bad reports I was apprehensive about going as we had booked 2 weeks holiday.we are 2 ladies in our 60s we are friends. It is not as bad as people make out but it is not a holiday hotel it is more transient for people wanting to visit the area and have somewhere to lay their head .there is no appreciation that you have spent a lot of money to stay in their hotel.reception staff ok but they prefer Spanish residents , bar staff in reception area are so rude twice I tried to get served and they just carried on talking to each other so I walked away, no customer service skills at all.restaurant staff are very reserved only the odd one say hello..the best staff are the chamber maids they always speak and are very helpful..the rooms are kept spotless.we was never woke up early.the bathrooms are very small and not private at all.because we are friends one of us kept going out to give the other person privacy for the toilet, Something needs to be done re pool bar it is our pool to use but you can only drink and eat anything bought up there.but it is expensive and some budgets won't stretch to using the bar.again some staff speak and make you feel welcome.breakfast good but evening meal needs looking at as it is repetative and uninviting unless you love sweet things.please be aware it is not mobile friendly with restaurant being up on the first floor of a different block so your down in one lift and back up in another .as the lifts are not very reliable it can take a while to get to the restaurant. I wouldn't personally go back but it is central and very clean.maybe because I served all my career in customer service I expect to be looked after as I would have served residents.maybe they should have a mystery resident to report back to management re the failings of staff.after all we are the people who keep the money coming in and keep the Spanish economy going.please dont worry if you have booked to go as it is not to bad....

|1.98km from city centerStayed for 10 nights from Boxing Day until 5/1/24. We stayed here last year too but this year extended our stay. Great hotel. I emailed the hotel in advance and asked if I could request the same room as last year. Room 502. The request was granted. Great room On the end of the building with a wrap around balcony. The room faces the pool and also the side of the building with views of the castle and the sea (and the motorway) sunbeds and chairs on balcony. Cleaners work hard the room was cleaned almost everyday. You can walk to the centre of fuengirola via the sea front on the paseo taking about 30 mins to the Plaza Chinorros or you can go via the back streets and this is a little quicker possibly around 22 mins. The Miramar shopping centre is literally over the road with lots of great shops and a huge carrefour supermarket. The hotel was great on New Year’s Eve a real party atmosphere. There was a couple of singers and party bags with streamers, hats balloons and blowers. Great stay we will back again highly recommend.

|0.36km from city centerI really liked this hotel. I got a room with a balcony, loads of sunshine. It was kept spotlessly clean and the staff were absolutely lovely at every turn. The location is dead center so you can walk to any beach,or the bus terminal one block away allows you to go anywhere in the Costa Del Sol I will check the prices at this hotel first before I choose anywhere else and I’ve been coming here for 20 years.

|2.57km from city centerToday is 28 September 2022 and my daughter Jill's memory on Facebook was of us sitting in the Lomond Lounge at Glasgow Airport before our flight on 28 September 2019, looking forward to another enjoyable holiday at Hotel IPV Palace & Spa. Little did we know that the dreaded COVID pandemic was on the horizon and would almost bring the world to a stop. I have worked from home since 17 March 2020 and have never been on a bus or a train since then never mind an aeroplane. Looking at the memory prompted me to look at my previous reviews and I found that I did not submit a review for that visit. I know it is a bit late in the day however I want the people who read reviews before deciding on their destination to know that this hotel is first class in every way. Perfect location with unbeatable sea view, comfortable beds, scrupulously clean, powerful shower with constant hot water, good food and most important of all the wonderful, friendly, efficient staff. Our Jet2 Holiday was stress free throughout the flight and we were quickly through customs and luggage carousel at Malaga. The transfer to the hotel was pleasant and the driver wheeled my cases up to the entrance. I hesitated, looked around and felt I was back to my happy place. Walking through reception, smiles were coming in our direction before we reached the desk. Warm welcome as we checked in, asked for a kettle which was delivered to the room shortly afterwards. We couldn’t resist one of the delicious fruity boiled sweets which always sit in a bowl on the desk. Once again, we were on the top floor of the Cesares building. Cases discarded, balcony door opened, elbows on the balcony and taking in the panoramic sea view with the ever present sound of the waves … the most relaxing sound in the world. Housekeeping do a brilliant job, the room was pristine and the bathroom gleaming. Toiletries etc. available in case there was something we had forgotten to pack. Wherever we went in the hotel from Beach Bar, Dona Lola Restaurant, Lobby Bar and Shop we caught up with people we have got to know over the years. They all gave us a lovely welcome and hugs all round. Now most of the people reading this will want to know about the restaurant and quality of food. The Dona Lola Restaurant is spacious and all the tables are covered with lovely crisp fresh tablecloths with proper napkins. Weather permitting; we always opt to eat outside on the terrace, part of which is covered. Their breakfasts make a great start to the day. You can choose a cooked breakfast accompanied by eggs any which way you like … omelette, poached, boiled, scrambled (sorry no Cadbury’s chocolate ones). The continental breakfast is also delicious with a good choice of meats, cheeses, etc. Cava is available and with the fresh fruit juices you can easily mix yourself a Bucks Fizz or Bellini. Once your appetite is satisfied, relax with a big pot of coffee. We tend to take relaxation to a different level as we h

|0.52km from city centerHotel is located close to train and bus station and beach across the road . Overall our stay was very pleasant - rooms need attention - bedside table and dressing table are exactly that - cheap tables with no storage space . Bathroom also lacks storage space . Shampoos soap and toilet paper the cheapest of the cheapest . These small things don’t go unnoticed and all add to overall impression of the hotel . This hotels greatest asset is its staff who are so kind and friendly . Definitely not 4* rating in my view .

|0.89km from city centerAs I have a wheelchair, but can go a few steps, we booked the family room for space for the wheelchair. So living room with sofa, table, tv, and a kitchenett (no cooking plate, as that's not allowed in a hotel), but microwave, watercooker, plates, cutlery etc. At arrival there was not only water in the fridge, but also cava, and some snacks and healthy cookies, which was perfect, as we arrived after midnight. And a bedroom with a double bed, tv, bedside tables and space for clothes. The bathroom has a toilet with essentials (soap, shampoo etc) and a lovely hot, big shower. Breakfast is inside or outside on the roof. They serve bread, ham, cheese, jam, fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereal and small cookies. Also different tea's and coffee,'s. (The only tiny minus is the lack of diversity. Maybe some days serve sausage, an egg on Sunday, etc.) Very friendly and helpful staff and clean room. (A tiny minus to change towels every other day which is not needed, and thinking more environmentally friendly.) The place is very central, close to the beach, the train and bus stations, the markets and the city centre, but without the noisy boulevard. (Yet always bring ear plugs on holiday.) The rooms have darkening curtains. There's a playground outside. We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning for our next stay.

|1.01km from city centerI visited the Angela Hotel from 1-9 November and I must say that I really enjoyed my stay. I was checked in by Manuela and Juan who were great and very helpful. I was allocated a room for my needs which I appreciated. My room was a decent size and very clean. It was cleaned daily to a high standard with plenty of towel and bedding changes. The bed was very comfortable. The amenities in the room include a kettle with coffee and tea, safe, wifi and a mini fridge (payable). the bathroom was also a decent size and clean but could possibly do with an upgrade. The balcony has 2 good quality chairs and a small table. My room was on the street side above the reception area and I still had a view of the sea. I'm glad that I chose the half board option which is excellent value. The food at both breakfast and dinner was very tasty with plenty of choice and hot when it should be. The bar/lounge is fantastic with great entertainment every night. The bonus is a happy 2 hours from 8-10. I congratulate the management and all staff for providing excellent service, thank you. I will definitely stay at the Angela again.

|0.86km from city centerThis was our second holiday at Stella Maris. The Apartments had been refurbished and were like new, a very comfy sofa. We had a one bedroom apartment with a balcony to the side and to the sea, the beds are really comfortable giving us good sleep. The apartment was cleaned 5 days in the week. The kitchen was good, enough utensils, a two ring cooking and a fridge . The location, on the Promenade, is excellent. We enjoyed our holiday and will recommend to our friends,

|1.49km from city centerNice hotqel in good location, close to the railway station from Malaga Airport which is a no brainer of a way to get to Fuengirola. Our room was of good size with a massive comfortable bed and air-conditioning, two things which let it down was the dated bathroom with a shower in a bath which was a challenge getting in and out, also the balcony, even though it had a really good sea view, once you sat down it had a solid wall around it so you had no view at all other than the walls. Staff very obliging and nice bar area on the ground floor, if you like a pool holiday the pool area is very small with limited sun beds.

|0.53km from city centerJust returned from a week stay at Las Palmeras and we were really pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews. Yes the hotel needs some updating but for the price we paid we were really happy with the stay. Rooms are very large and kept spotless during our stay as was the rest of the hotel. Fresh clean towels daily also. Beds are slightly hard and pillows very thin but we were provided extra when asking at reception with no bother. The views from the balcony are amazing. The bar was great, very welcoming and the staff there work so hard, were always friendly and offered an exceptional service. Breakfast was the normal buffet style, busy but always found a table and the selection was very varied, something for everyone . The staff here work very hard and are always smiling. Overall a very pleasant stay in a good location, we will definitely book to stay again, we couldn’t fault it. Thank you for a great time!

|2.6km from city centerThe hotel is really nice very big, the food was buffet style but plenty of choice... Our room was sufficient clean but view was of a tall building at the back that was being renovated which was horrible... Ask for a room looking over the pool and gardens. Couldn't fault the prices in the bar... The entertainment was aimed totally at Spanish people they took over the dance floor every night... The pool was very disappointing as was open for two days then the Manager took the decision to close it ... We were shocked as the weather was beautiful. we were told swim in doors ... l think he missed the point as l have to swim indoors all the year around that's why l save up and go to Spain...he was obnoxious....

|2.93km from city centerGreat location and great place to stay and staff very friendly and helpful, right opposite the beach and restaurants nearby. The beds are very comfy and the whole apartment is clean and well equipped. The front reception can’t do enough to help like printing out airline paperwork. We also stayed at the Vegasol Playa in October and once again the staff where very helpful when the washing machine broke, it was replaced in the afternoon with a new one, well done to the team.

|1.67km from city centerMy husband and I just home from a 2wk stay. This is a fab hotel, spotlessly clean great staff rooms have all you need…..the reception staff are a treat especially The lovely Alberto and Daniel ultra helpful. Nuria doing the massages is delightful and excellent at her job. Right next door to shopping mall that includes a supermarket (top tip stock up with all you need a bring your shopping trolley 🛒 back to hotel save carrying they collect them every day and return) Hotel a little way from town centre but is walkable or user bus outside reception. We were self catering suited us fine just enjoyed lovely deli food from supermarket and few gorgeous meals out.Rooms cleaned everyday with fresh sheets. Plenty of sun beds happy hour every day 5.30pm - 6.30pm. Iron and ironing board on request. Didn’t eat at restaurant so can’t comment. If was forced to find a negative it would be bed a little hard for my liking (but not a deal breaker) all in all loved the place.

|2.85km from city centerThis was such an easy trip. Out the airport, a 3 minute walk to the train station and a 25 minute train ride straight to Torreblanca station and the hotel is right there. It's a 3-4 minute walk from station right into hotel reception. There is a very short incline just before you get into hotel. Arrival was great as the staff in this hotel are always so friendly and helpful. This extends to everywhere, restaurant staff are lovely, cleaning staff are lovely, bar staff etc, everyone is so nice. I had room 406 with a spectacular sea view and looking directly onto the beautifully manicured large garden area with sunbeds well distanced from each other and positioned on the lawns. It's peacefulness personified to just lie down there and read a book. So quiet. There is a large(ish) pool down at the bottom of the gardens with a more livelier pool up above, and closer to the hotel. This tends to attract families, although it's never been really busy anytime I have stayed. I do like the small pool bar there and it's lovely to sit outside of it and just watch the families in the pool. It also has a small much shaded area if you wanted to get out the sun for a while. Amenities are a short walk away, down a hill, and about 5 minutes walk. For the less able-bodied people, it is a bit of a steep climb back up to the hotel. It's doable, but you may just need to stop and rest. Until 7pm, you can get into the hotel through a side-gate half-way up the hill by using your room card for entry. This saves going up that last part of the hill which is the steepest. What I loved most is being able to walk out the hotel straight into the train station and head to Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Arroyo de la Miel, Plaza Mayor (huge shopping area) and finally back to the airport. No need to buy a ticket as just tap your bank card onto the Renfe big red dots at every station and that's you. Just don't forget to tap that dot again when you get to your destination station. All-in-all, a great holiday (always) and I have already booked for my next trip back there.
