This place could be a whole lot better & there is so much that it doesn’t have but could. There are two queen size beds (quite comfortable) in my room, which is overkill, but only one chair, no hangers or storage cupboards. There is nowhere to put anything really apart from the floor. The power points are at least a meter off the ground so to charge your phone or camera is with some difficulty as there is no table suitable. The bathroom could be cleaner. There is no where to hang anything apart from one towel rack & there is no shelf to put your toiletries. The TV had poor reception, each channel was fuzz but there was nothing in English anyway. On the positive side the room did have a small outside sitting area with a good view overlooking rice paddies (though a mosquito coil would have been nice to deter them) and the room does have a fan and air con. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts, I chose Sri Lankan over the continental, was great. Would I stay here again? To be fair there are two answers here, ‘yes’ & ‘no’. Yes, if you only want somewhere to sleep for the night (4 out of 5stars). No, if you are here for more than one night since the room didn’t have what it took to be able to really relax in and be comfortable for more than a night (3 out of 5stars).

We were on a holiday and we spent two nights at Tishan. Rooms were very quiet and comfortable. Worth paying for the breakfast coz we got a super nice English breakfast or else you can coordinate with the person in charge of food and arrange what you like... The pool was nice too.. I like the garden full of trees and plants and the blue water lilies... Staff was friendly and helpful. And the owners too are very good people. You can see a beautiful paddy field next to the garden and the roses were lovely at the back garden. Whoever stays there do not forget to leave a comment on the wall so the memories will remain until the next visit of yours. We were truly happy with the service and will be back there very soon. 😃😃😃👍👍👍

The hotel is in a good environment, facing the Great Lakes. There are unwashed small stains on the sheets. At night, I went to the hotel to recommend the boat trip to the lake to watch the birds and watch the sunset. It is a very rare experience. When I came back, it was already dark. The moon in the sky, the light of the hotel on the shore, and the chanting of the monks. . . The whole process of paddling by two young people is very hard and environmentally friendly. The next day, there was some unpleasantness at the checkout. The dinner expenses that had been paid by my husband were in the blink of an eye and the same fee-paying waiter planned to take the payment of my friend. . .

After visiting the ancient city, I checked in to the hotel. It is very close to the scenic area, and it is only a 10-minute walk. 570 / night, outdated facilities, rooms are relatively tide, the price difference between the previous night and the Candara Heritage Hotel is only one hundred, but it can not be compared, the cost performance is extremely low, it is not recommended to stay at all. The hotel is built next to a lake. This lake is said to be the largest lake in Sri Lanka. Before booking, I saw some wild elephants drinking water in the morning near the hotel lake, so I booked it without hesitation. I had imagined sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake and eating the noodles of the motherland, but I opened the balcony door and found that I could not see the lake at all, and was covered by the canopy. I ran to the lake in the evening to wait for the elephant to drink water. , The elephant did not come.

We had a short stay at Jayaru guest house and found the room to be extremely clean and comfortable. There is a choice of aircon and non aircon rooms. Sunama Siri(the host) was available to provide transport and guiding to local sites and train station on our departure. We had some wonderful spontaneous interactions with some of the local people because we were with Sunama Siri. Overall a 5 star service.

We had a small room that felt a bit cramped for two people but our room was attached to the balcony so that made up for the lack of room space to a certain degree. The room was clean. The only real issue were the mosquitoes which required the doors and windows to be closed all the time which made for a very hot room. There was no air conditioning but there was a fan. There happened to be a power outage for one of the days we were there which made it impossible to cool the room during the day. The host family was great. They were friendly and helpful and the meals they made for us were top notch both in quality and quantity. Being able to rent bicycles made the trip to all the sites easy, except there are any dogs that take an interest in bicycle riders.

We stood for 3 nights in that hotel, the central location nearby the museum, ruins and the lake is very comfortable. The rooms are big and clean, you have a nice pool to swim and relax after a Hit sightseeing day. The friendly owner helped us for every issues, we had, and also the restaurant is recommendable. We stayed in a cottage which was older, but the beds were comfortable, the pillows just right. The air-conditioning worked and there was a fan! We slept well. The two problems we had were: THE BATHROOM: beautifully renovated bathroom: a shower with great shower head, just very poor water pressure and a cold trickle of water. Had to give up the idea of washing my hair. The basin is not one you should lean on, it rocks! The toilet: failed to flush after two hours! Toilet paper roll was low and no spare, lucky we carry our own! BREAKFAST: we were not offered any option except eggs....omelette or scrambled. My omelette was awful, I cannot drink tea or coffee so asked for water and had to pay for it! Thus, if you do not drink tea or coffee, take your own water! It is a dry bar, but the owners will allow you to take alcohol to the bar and purchase tonic or soda etc

The environment is much better than in Kandy. Going through a bumpy road. It's very gray. Sometimes it's blocked. The hotel was nice to check in early when we checked in that day. As the brother of the Tutu bus in Colombo was too enthusiastic to help us buy a seven-point train ticket, the next morning at breakfast, Ms. Checkin came over to say one of the reservations. To make up the difference. I think the hotel in Sri Lanka is curious that the price for one and two people is different. Later, the difference was more expensive than Ctrip. I still feel uncomfortable. She did n’t say when she checked in. Breakfast was okay. I ’m not quite used to the buffet here. The fried egg brother opened my stack of fried eggs by hand. The fruits are all papaya and watermelon. They are not very rich. The floor-to-ceiling window of the restaurant was not like that when I booked. There are three glass pieces in the middle. Bedding was more comfortable. Kandy was dirty and messy overall. I did n’t think I would come back, and the room had a balcony.

Due to the railway strike, we had to give up the tickets we had already purchased and changed to rent a car to Kandy. Although the road is hard, there are also many scenery to be swept. The three-day trip to Kandy is not so much a look at the scenery of the temple and the lake. It is better to say that this hotel is even more pleasant. Booking the hotel, because of the unique tapestry pattern in the hall, arrived at the hotel, first attracted by the river in front of you, the blue sky. The hotel has a sweet and cold drink at the store. When you look at the river, you don’t feel that the procedure is slow. Prayer in the mountains, candlelight and singing at night, a beautiful local wedding, beautiful sunset glow, blue waves from the pool outside the cafe, blending with the hotel's gracious dining and attentive service, a movement or a look, the waiter can Understand your mind. The place to stay, the first floor is slightly damp, but there is a garden where you can push the door, people who like plants, you can also browse the hotel's garden, there are many kinds of plants, all are tropical wonders. We changed to the top of the building. I didn't expect a few rains in the house when the rain was heavy. We were very touched when the staff watched the rain. The little episode did not ruin the mood. Watching a piece of golden bamboo outside can be a good memory. Those who love dessert, food and photography will be satisfied.

In the mountains, it is not very convenient to travel if you do not rent a car. The environment is general, the room is relatively small, and the food is not enough to eat. It is called to give the extra bed quilt three times and finally has no resistance. In the aisle, a cleaning is done to solve the problem. Next to the restaurant, order a cup of yogurt (not on the wine list), a spoonful of yogurt with sugar and water dare to receive 25

Freedom of Sri Lanka from December 29th to January 7th, it's very beautiful: if you don't choose this hotel (one night on December 31st), it will be close to perfection! An unpleasant experience: holding the confirmation (paid), but the front desk said that the price was adjusted, and the order was invalid. why? Answer: The problem with travel agencies in your country! Hotels and travel agencies negotiate endlessly ... ………… Direct loss nearly 3 hours, no choice but to compromise, pay cash to check in …… You have to pay $ 165 Alright alright. Wrong, why is there no dinner? (My original order was with breakfast and dinner) Bringing dinner costs $ 285! Exactly $ 285! Obediently, did you downgrade without permission? Expensive, it must be the same as my original order! !! !! (It turns out that the dinner was too bad: buffet style, no decent main course, breakfast level, additional drinks: $ 50 weak) Before I checked in, I stored my luggage, and the luggage number was marked with the room number ... After 3 hours of peeling, the manager-level person said: I apologize for the unpleasant experience you have, we give you Upgraded the room for free! Room 302. Yes, Room 302, it was indicated on the luggage list 3 hours ago! !! !! ? ? ? Naked, my IQ has been seriously underestimated: from 652 yuan (original price) to the final payment of 1995 yuan, thanks to the hotel free upgrade room? ... of course the final difference Ctrip has been refunded After numerous confirmations afterwards, Ctrip called the hotel on December 28 to agree to the price adjustment (Dec 31?) By the way: I booked on December 10th, 652 yuan / room • night By the way: Sri Lanka ’s per capita daily consumption is less than $ 1 By the way: except for sleeping time, 1/3 of the time is pulling the skin at the hotel front desk

Breakfast is quite rich, 88 points. Can't you add an extra bed? Suitable for children. The hotel is located on the top of the mountain, and you can see half of the city of Kandy. The scenery is elegant, the flowers and birds are scented, and the monkeys are jumping and jumping. There is parking. Hotel service is the best hotel I feel in Sri Lanka.

It is indeed a hotel with a very long history, a beautiful restaurant with a garden pool, a European style, a huge wooden room door, and a very high room rack, which shows the former glory. but! !! !! Definitely not recommended! Very poor sound insulation! very bad! very bad! Our room was arranged on the second floor, next to the restaurant. First, the lobby bar played and sang until 10:30 in the evening. At the end, we thought we could fall asleep. Around 12 o'clock, a bunch of Europeans who had drunk drinks continued chatting in the lobby bar and laughed loudly. To half past one! No one manages, almost no sound insulation! Finally they returned to the room to rest, the bulky wooden door was closed without any buffer, like firing! Noisy all night without sleep, collapse! Never stay here!

The hotel enjoys a great location, on the mountain, on the cliff side, watching the sunset and the night sky is very beautiful. We booked a penthouse suite, which is very large. One large bed with two small beds is very friendly to the second-born family. There is a swing. The children like it very much. After dark, mosquitoes are in the lobby, but there is no mosquito in the room, indicating that the mosquito prevention work is still good. The rooms are decorated with Sri Lankan local characteristics. For dinner, the two nights are different, but they are all special Sri Lankan diets. The first night is a combination of white rice and several dishes, including chicken curry, onion salad, and some local Sri Lankan specialties. The second night is fried rice with the whole Fried eggs, although the juice and water have to be charged separately, but the price is not expensive, the breakfast is made fresh, and their bread is the most fragrant I have eaten in Sri Lanka. The juice coffee is also good. On the first day, the water flowing in the sink was very mommy. Later, I went out to play and came back the next day. I found that the water had passed through and the water was very small. No water, can also understand, after all, in the mountains so high, the next to go, still consider to stay, yes, it must be a car with a driver only convenient, otherwise a little bit far.

The hotel is on the hill and the car is not good. The balcony is very nice. The facilities are quite new, hot water is enough, but not very stable. There is a kettle in the room. It takes twenty minutes to walk to the city center and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The sausage for breakfast is delicious.

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the service was truly excellent. We arrived early, but were still able to check in. We were greeted with cold refreshing coconut drinks and snacks, and the most helpful, lovely staff. Our room was beautiful, very stylish, with a small balcony, lovely bathroom (great toiletries!) and extremely comfortable bed. Perfect! The breakfasts were delicious, such a varied choice of food, with good coffee! We are vegan but there was plenty for us to eat. Day 2 we had freshly prepared hoppers filled with lentil dahl - so yummy! Location is ideal, very close to the lake and not far from the train station. We bumped into a gentleman who works at the hotel when we were out exploring (he was off-duty at the time but recognized us from when we checked in) and he was SUPER helpful, walking with us for a while, pointing out some interesting places to go, and he even helped us buy tickets for a traditional dance show. We were only in Kandy for 2 nights, but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend.
