Laleli
Istanbul
|1.86km from city centerWe are staying in this hotel right now and it is simply amazing. I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel as there weren't that many reviews. I took a gamble and it is well worth it. It is bit on the expensive side but amenities make up for the additional cost. Hotel was opened a couple of years ago but due to pandemic it has hardly been used. Pretty much everything looks brand new. Pros: We are in a triple room with a balcony and it is very spacious. There is a mini fridge in the room along with a large cabinet. Interestingly, TV is hidden in the large mirror in the middle of the room so it serves dual purpose. Air conditioner is solid and it got quite cold at night. As it is a newer hotel, they have incorporated a few new technologies. One strange thing; there is a window in the bathroom that faces the room. Why? 😂. If your room faces the street, it can get a bit noisy. But not enough to bother. Breakfast was simply awesome. Selection was quite large. Breakfast is served on the rooftop which has a fantastic view of Laleli Camii. Breakfast is probably the highlight of our stay! There is a spa/hammam in the building. Hammam is supposedly free from 2 to 6pm. But I haven't tried it yet. There is a swimming pool across the street in their sister hotel called Beethoven Premium. No swimming pool in this building. There is a small area to pray, mescit, in the basement. Majority of the staff is friendly. One of the receptionists could use a little more welcoming smile. Hotel is in the commercial shopping market. Majority of the attractions are a good 15 to 20 minutes walk. And it is not a straight walk as there are a lots of ups and downs as Istanbul terrain is quite hilly. There are a few restaurants near by. Famous Laleli Camii (masjid) is three minutes walk. It is an ideal hotel for a business person. Families/vacationers who want to stay closer to the attractions should try something a bit closer to attractions. Overall an amazing hotel.

|11.95km from city centerChecked in no problem. Room was on the 1000 level. The room was fine. Comfy enough bed, decent shower, a little dark but fine. However, at 0044 I had not long fallen asleep and was awoken by some music. To begin with I could not figure out where the music was coming from, I called reception and found out that there was a function on and the music was coming through the walls. The receptionist told me that he would sort it out. He must of as I managed to fall asleep for 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, the tunes came back on but even louder, again I called down to reception. This time I told him if he cant get the music sorted I wanted a room move. he said he'd call back in 5 mins. By this time (0115) I had enough after been travelling since 0600 and up for work at 0800 I was not wiating any longer. I packed what I had left to pack and went down stairs to get moved. Where I had the most uncomfortable experience with the receptionist. I told the guy I wanted a room change, he said he was sorry he didn't have any. I stared at him rather displeased as you would at that time. I said well, what do you suggest?! The volume was ridiculous. After sending the bellboy down to request a volume change again, he shuffled avoiding eye contact and moving around papers. I think he just thought I was going to shrug my shoulders and go back to my bed. I stared at him for a minute more and raised my voice, asked him what the hell is happening? Its nearly 0130 and am standing here tired as F**K, demanded he better sort something out or I wanted the manager. After some more awkwardness he then produced a key card for a different room. I told him all that nonsence in the last ten mins could easily have been avoided. If he didn't lie to me and say there were no rooms. The room ended up being really quiet, however it was like an oven and I could not get it cool. I was knackered so fell asleep anyway. That mattress will need a few days in the sun to dry out the amount I sweated in it. I went down to breakfast in the morning it looked like an ok spread but I was still not in the mood. The bill was already fixed by my company so I didn't even complain to the staff in the morning. I will be telling my company not to use this place again.

|10.66km from city centerWe had an amazing stay here I hope estly can not fault it. The staff were lovely and the hotel was very clean. Our room was great, the view was incredible, it was spacious with a huge bed, mini bar, and decent bathroom. We were provided with water daily too. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice hot and cold, and tasty. We ate a few times in the small restaurant to the right as you enter the hotel. The food here was great and reasonably priced. There is no alcohol for sale here but there are shops and bars near by if you are in need of a drink.

|0.88km from city centerWe travel quite a bit as a family ( 2 children ages 7 and 12 ) but don’t always review. This hotel deserves every accolade we could provide. We had a family connecting room which was great and a perfect amount of space for all. Having two bathrooms was a real plus! Beds were comfortable and the room servicing was impeccable. The people go above and beyond, are incredibly kind and hospitable. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and has such a special charm. It is perfectly located to everything in the Old Town and has a beautiful terrace to sit on and enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. We would sit out at night and watch the sun set with a glass of wine and Fanta for the kids. The breakfast is wonderful and excellent quality. Have it included in your stay if you can. It is worth it. We search for great food and this exceeded our expectation. It is so fresh and changes daily. The staff is attentive and so helpful. The shop directly beside, Tencer Gift Shop is so wonderful. The owner is so kind and generous. We recommend getting something from him over the Grand Bazaar. Overall we had an incredible experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Sirkeci Mansion from the Canadian Family.

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
Istanbul
|0.31km from city centerI wholeheartedly believe that you would solely regret you decision to visit this hotel which you hopefully do not chose as did I. Initially, I was greeted with no Wi-Fi which was a reoccurring issue throughout my stay and a situation which has been very strange to me in all my years of traveling across the globe (mostly Pakistan) and one which I have never thought I would ever see to be so prominent in this extremely technology advanced day and age. Soon after I decided to freshen up, however much to my dismay the overhead shower was not operable and I was forced to use an extremely miniature shower head which looked much better as a bidet/lota. In addition to these problems me a regular human trying to enjoy my holiday realised that as described the hotel had neither ironing facilities nor the fitness suite they claimed to provide which was apparently closed due to covid 19 which seems to have disappeared in the UK (and around the world) since the very peculiar work events (parties) of Boris Johnson who has also disappeared. But this is not the case in this particular hotel. Lastly, the washing facilities were terrible and my laundry came back with a very bizarre smell which leaves me bewildered as I never apprehended this to be possible in the case of a laundry that had just been ‘washed’. To conclude I as you ancestor in this situation and trip advisor am advising you to not ever stay at this hotel even as the last resort in the entire of Istanbul. You’d much rather buy at tent and follow in Ottoman tradition.

|0.36km from city centerI had the best stay at this hotel. The staff was all very welcoming, and everything was very clean and inviting. Utkan, at the front desk, was especially helpful in making activity and food suggestions, and reservations if I wanted. He even upgraded my room for free, and I had a beautiful terrace with the view of the city. I had a 2 day layover here before reaching my final destination, and I really felt at home and so comfortable here. It was a nice quiet refuge to come back to after exploring the busy city. It is close to everything, so it was easy to drop iff any shopping, use the bathroom, or just rest my feet before venturing out again.

|3.12km from city centerIdeally located as a base to explore inner Istanul. We walked to most of the historical locations. The staff at the hotel were attentive and always on hand. Special mention to the Head Concierge Nuri Bilge. He quickly worked out what we could see by walking and drew a perfect map of all the locations to visit! Nuri also organised a sunset luxury boat trip for us, which was reasonably priced given the quality of service. Our thanks to him. The restaurants at the hotel are excellent, (though a little pricy) if you don't want to take a chance on the cheaper restaurants. Istanbul was not what we expected and so was a pleasure to explore for the 6 days we were there.

|11.58km from city center2 stops away from the exhibition hall, convenient without luggage
It’s just taking a taxi back from the exhibition hall because it’s too close and often refused to board
It is recommended to go to the airport at least 4 hours in advance. Istanbul often gets stuck in traffic. We just set off 3 hours early and missed the plane.
Taxis in Turkey are very tricky and will charge indiscriminately. Obviously, the high-speed toll is charged at 12.9, and the high-speed toll is charged at 120. Public transportation is recommended. Was slaughtered more than 300 lire

|1.7km from city centerIt has been 2 days in this 4-star hotel, not as we mean you in Europe/ Italy ( let's mean ). Located in the center etc etc I don't dilish on this part so obviously just see the location. The size of the decent room, small bed bathroom with so much things to improve cleaning first and then functional things like the shower door who opens outwards by swallowing the bathroom if you don't hurry to close it after washing, the plastic tablet that moves when you sit and so on. What was most disturbing me was that if I left the window open, the absurd noises of the house's air conditioners were in front if I closed the window and lighted the air conditioner was adjusted to a maximum of 27th and I died cold, for 2 nights I have been very badly sleeping. The problem has also had other friends in different rooms. They have a restaurant at the latest floor with a beautiful view of nothing to say. I have dinned for 2 days in this hotel and I have to say I eat good things. I jumped that salad for breakfast, and it wasn't inspired me, and I eaten bread and marble.

|0.47km from city centerHi, we stay in hotel for 2 nights. The location is absolutely spotless. Close to all attractions, beautiful restaurants and transportation. Breakfasts are basic, but to be honest everyone could find something to eat! I am vegetarian and have no problem to fill in my stomach :)The waitress are so nice and they clean the plates and tables straight away after customers! We have been there for 2 nights, but housekeeping team do not went in our room and also do not change the towels… In my opinion thats the biggest downside of customer service! We are also little bit disappointed with additional charge after we used 3 small water bottles, two sprites and i think one Fanta. €6!We do not have problem to pay for our facilities, but there was no info in the room regarding charges at all! And when i was asking the receptionist where is the list price, he showed me some labels with prices which was hidden behind him in the corner!I thought this is a little bit strange, especially after we refused to book the taxi from hotel. Generally we are happy, but we will not return there.

Istanbul
|0.68km from city centerIt doesn't deserve even a one star. My room, apart from being very small, was very untidy; musquitos all over the place; humidified walls; the furniture demolished, the sheet ripped; the curtains were turned from white into brown because of the dust; very small and bad bathroom (so small, it was very uncomfortable to take care of physiological needs); not enough supply of essentials, extremely poor WiFi in my room; bad room isolation: from my room I could hear someone walking by in the corridor as if we were not seperated by walls. Bad costumer service. The recepsionist was very rude and not hospitable at all. The owner also, while I was asking him something, he kept laughing on his phone, rather than taking care of his clients. Very disappointed.

|0.95km from city centerThe room in this homestay is large, two bedrooms and one living room, the bed is 1.5 meters wide, the air conditioning is also very good, the room is very clean. There is a local waiter who sleeps on the first floor 24 hours a day and can open the door at any time, but they don't speak English very much. The room was quiet. Someone was singing prayer at 4:30 in the morning on the first day, and it was quiet the next day. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the underground palace, which is convenient in the ancient city.

It is located slightly outside the hustle and bustle but 5 minutes to the subway and ideally located near restaurants and shopping. Our special observation is about all of the staff; they were so friendly and welcoming. We give a shout out to Eren at Breakfast, Putra in housekeeping. The breakfast is until 11am and is the best we have had in Istanbul hotels. The executive lounge is on the top floor and the staff very good. The fare is heavy on desserts but light on other items. This has now become our hotel in Istanbul

|6.86km from city centerWe had a change of itinerary which meant that the hotel we booked was not in the ideal location for us and meant lot of going back and forth and as we had not booked free cancellation were able to modify or cancel the booking.
There are places to eat nearby and a nice high street for breakfast, food, restaurants but not any convenience stores. There is a nice promenade for a walk however its a bit of a mission to cross to the other side of the busy road due to the fence. So you have to walk over the manned bridge. From there its a 1.5hours walk to Sultanahmet. There is no hotel shuttle so the only other option to get to the main sights is by taxi.
In the winter time its not as bad maybe 10 minutes to Sultanahmet and 20 minutes to Galata Tower.
The hotel is actually pretty decent, clean, bar area with free biscuits, luggage area.
I wasn't too keen on the requirement to insert your card in the lift to use it, it had us confused esp as no one told us.
They serve nice range of food at decent prices.
The room was big enough for a couple, with all the standard mod cons like kettle, shower, free WIFI and also had a convenient chair, desk and couch. It also had a free safe which was easy to use and enough storage area. Room was clean and found the bed pretty comfortable.
The sea view was great, maybe a room higher up might have been better.

|4.45km from city centerHoliday Inn Istanbul City, an exceptional hotel, IHG Group! We stayed there in June 2022, 9 days! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS reception staff!!! We received, as it was my birthday, a business room of 55 square meters! With living room, bedroom, exceptional! Pool view! Also, the cleanliness is 100%! Very good location, right in the tram station, which has a separate line, so transport is not limited by road congestion. A bit disturbing is the fact that, sometimes, we had to leave the pool at 3 or 4 p.m. because sometimes they had wedding parties organized in the pool area. But these parties are very nice, not disturbing, because at 11 pm they were over. It is very easy to reach Florya beach, in approx. 30 minutes by MetroBus. We recommend!
