We stayed in this hotel and we are satisfied. We used the outdoor swimming pool and the beautiful Spa which has a separate cost. From the hotel it was easy to reach Venice to visit it, as there is a bus that runs more or less every half hour until midnight (tickets can be purchased directly at the hotel). Good breakfast. It left room cleanliness to be desired but they promptly changed us rooms.

Hotel a bit old and needing some work, but the room was clean enough and the bedding adequate. The main problem was the location. It was necessary to walk quite a distance to the nearest public transport and considering that most travellers to Venice are on foot (bus tours), I wouldn't recommend it if you don't enjoy walking - a lot. Breakfast standard hotel fare, nothing special. It's just OK for a night, but I'll find a better place if I return to Venice after the floods.

We stayed here the week between Christmas & NYE for our visit to Venice. We didn't want to stay in Venice proper to avoid the tourists, noise & possibly flooding. Also, Mestre runs their Christmas market until January 6, so that's what we did the first night. The walk took about 20 minutes to the Mestre city center, which is really nice. Lots of activity, stores, restaurants & bars. Nice Christmas market & beautiful decorations everywhere. The Alexander itself was nice & we had no issues. Staff was very helpful every time we needed them. Great value. Tram stop is a 5 minute walk, & then a 20 minute ride into Venice. Everything was very smooth & I would definitely recommend it.

Purchased a last minute wowcher Holliday, including the hotel San Carlo, Mestre, Venice. As it wasn’t a bank breaking trip, we didn’t really expect much from the hotel, but upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely staff, a clean, large size room with good facilities. Staff were very helpful with transportation and information of the city. Hotel is located perfectly, 20 mins from the airport (£8pp bus ride) and a 5 minute walk away from the tram to take you to and from the heart of Venice (£3 return pp). Couldn’t fault it, will definitely be using again.

Suitable for self-driving, the surrounding is very lively and convenient for life. Enter the main island of Venice and take the bus at the door. The hotel is relatively new, the price is not expensive, parking costs 12 euros a day. Although the big bed is also a double fight, but there is no depression in the middle, sleep very comfortable.

This hotel was wonderful. I stayed here for three days and the staff is amazing. Everyone I spoke to at registration was very pleasant and answered all my questions. The first person I met was Davide. My check in was really easy and quick. Then over the course of the next couple days I met Chiara, Francesco, Tommaso and Francesca. They were all very nice and helpful. And they always greeted me with a smile. Then, I met the manager Jacopo. He was very nice as well. Now I know why the staff is so amazing. Besides the staff the hotel is excellent as well. They had a bar and a café that was open 24 hours. There was also a washing machine and dryer available to wash your clothes. The central train station and bus station is only a five minute walk from the hotel. Whenever I come to Venezia I will be sure to stay here. Great place. I would never stay anywhere else when I come to Venice.

The room was clean and cleaned daily . The staff were very helpful Deborah in particular. Issues i found are (1) Heater was fixed to winter so as the weather turned hot , the room was hotter - no way to control the room temperature yet the concierge had aircon (2) There was no complimentary water or tea / coffee utensils (3) The distance on tram to Venice is about 35 to 40 mins one way , so you cannot dash in and out between hotel and Venice area (4) Breakfast was ok for 1st day but after that you get fed up of same menu . The hotel shuttle bus never went anywhere for the 3 nights that i was there - due to driver illness ? It was not free service anyway .An additional good aspect is that you are allowed to leave your suitcase after checking out and pick up later ( where you have late flight). All in all an ok hotel for a short stay.

The hotel doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but offers adequately sized rooms with updated bathrooms. In the room we had LCD TV, safe, free WiFi, air conditioning and even a fridge. The floors in the room were tiled and therefore also more hygienic than carpet. We had a room at the back which was very quiet. There are some parking spaces for €8 a day, but very tight with maneuvering and handing in car keys. But it was ok, as it was much cheaper than parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast was modest, but sufficient. The pedestrian zone of Mestre with restaurants and bars starts 50m in front of the hotel. Buses and trains to Venice (journey €1.5 - approx. 20 minutes) also depart from near the hotel. In this respect, a cheap starting point for visiting Venice for a small price. The operators were friendly and helpful. Communication but English or Italian, no German.

The price of breakfast is high in this price range, and the room is spacious enough with modern design. There is no partition on the bathroom floor, so it took me a long time to take a shower, so the water flows into the toilet, so I have to be careful. Okay, there is a bus stop nearby, but please note that the ticket office is not open in the morning, so you have to go to Mestre station to buy it after all.

It is too convenient to travel to Venice. The boss is still Chinese. I will take the initiative to help provide the route. It is only a few steps away from the railway station. I am around a Chinese supermarket and buy instant noodles. Various conveniences. It is not recommended to live on the island. I want to take a suitcase and take a boat. I feel a headache when I move across the bridge to find a hotel. It is still good here!

Self-driving in Italy because of the inconvenience of parking in Venice, I chose this hotel in Mestre. 1. The hotel is located at the high speed exit, 1.4 kilometers from the train station and takes only 18 minutes. The train will soon take you to Venice. 2. Free parking with plenty of parking spaces, no problem overnight; 3. The surroundings of the hotel are very good, the Parkhotel deserves its name and the dinner also has the characteristics of northern Italy. 4. The lobby is decent and the space is fine. The front desk and the waiters are very welcoming. Overall, a great and very comfortable stay.

The location is just right, next to the railway station on land! There is also a bus station nearby! But it will inexplicably deduct money ... it costs me 4.5 euros, which is said to be the cost of a minibar! I was charged two days after leaving the hotel! And the front desk has the action of peeking at the credit card security code! Fortunately, I posted it! Stay here carefully ...

We stayed here prior to our cruise last May. Super nice staff and the owner. The rooms are clean and the free hot breakfast is sufficient. They have omelet or other eggs to order. No elevator but the staff will carry your luggage up and down the stairs. 5 minutes walk to train station and the bus to Venice is just around the corner. Bus tickets available at the hotel. They stored our luggage for free while we did our side trip to Milan for 2 days. I cannot say enough, I highly recommend this hotel.

The price is cheap, the surrounding environment is also safe; the surrounding area is a residential area of the town, food and transportation are convenient; it is convenient to take a bus or take the train to Venice; take the airport bus and get off at the airport by 5-6 minutes; room comparison For a long time, the room is small, you can stay for one night, you can't stand it for too many days; the elevator is very small, 2 girls and 2 29-inch boxes are full; 11:00 to the hotel, you can't check in early; the hotel must keep a passport when you check in. . When you go out to play, you have to give the key to the front desk, in order to get your passport back, and come back to take the key with the front desk... I don’t know what this operation means~

Stayed here as apart of our Topdeck tour. The room and bathroom were quite big compared to some of the other hotels we stayed in. The decor is dated but I was happy with the size. The aircon worked fine for us. Breakfast wasn’t anything to rave about. They had a nice outdoor area were a few of us sat having some drinks before going out. A fair drive away from Venice itself. We walked 5-10 minutes to get a bus to Venice that took around 30 minutes. There is a bar in the lobby and the first night of our stay had no issues but the second night my partner went to the bar twice and no one would serve him, the guy who was supposed to be working was sitting and talking to his friend and told my partner to go away, this happened three times - also told him they had no alcohol left at all. We resorted to walking to the supermarket and buying our own drinks.

Hotel is clean with a central location. Hotel did its job and must of staff was friendly except for an Indian gentleman front desk employee named Sal when he inserted himself into a conversation I was having with another staff member and raised his voice and felt aggressive over simple questions I had. I was afraid of running into him the remainder of my stay. Please train your employees not be thus disrespectful to guests for no reason at all.

The hotel is in the Outer Island Railway Station. The room is not big, and the windows are blocked by wooden boards and the light is not very good. The quilt is a bit thin, the air conditioner doesn't work, and it's a bit cold. The hotel can buy bus tickets, a 1-day pass, which is very convenient. There is an Indian restaurant next to the hotel. The meat rolls are 3.5 euros. It is delicious and inexpensive. It is cost-effective in Venice. The service staff is enthusiastic and friendly.

Posizione eccezionale di fronte alla stazione di Venezia Mestre. Personale gentile e disponibile, sia alla reception che al buffet colazioni, hanno una piccola scelta di prodotti senza glutine confezionati. Parcheggio convenzionato molto comodo adiacente all’ingresso. Unica pecca i lavori in corso che si sentivano nonostante le stanze fossero ben insonorizzate. Stanza molto bene arredata in stile industrial moderno. Coccola extra kit bagno Salvatore Ferragamo. Se dovessimo ritornare in zona ci torneremo sicuramente!

We have stayed in much better hotels, but this was clean, comfortable and just the job for what we wanted. Breakfast is continental, but loads of it. In January the room was cold, but reception turned the heating on and all was fine.Couple of fantastic restaurants within 5 mins walk. Lidl just down the road, and the bus stop not far away. 1.50 euro gets you into Venice. We would stay again if we do another Venice trip. Please note the walls are thin, so can be a little noisy. That said it didn't bother us too much.

We had booked a family room for 4. Did not expect it to be so cramp. Was a warm week with temperatures at 19°c and more somedays but hotel had shutdown aircontioning because October onwards was classed as colder months. No room for negotiations there!! so had to sleep with windows opened and put up with traffic noise from the main road 60 feet away! WIFI signal was weak and disconnected very often. Carpet was needing a good wash really dirty. Fridge was outdated and door wouldn't shut properly and set at very low temp. On positive side beddings were clean, fresh towels every day. Staff very polite and helpful. Dinning/restaurant was spotless and good breakfast spread. Good location with regular buses to city.

A very good value for money, suitable for budget travel! The location is also good, more convenient. It is necessary to confirm the check-in time at the arrival of the hotel on the first day, and there is usually no one after 8:00. This is still relatively inconvenient, so if you arrive in a late flight, calculate the time in advance. avoid unnecessary trouble!

If you want to visit Venice, but don't want to spend a fortune for the accommodation, this could be the place, although it is not located in Venice, but in Mestre, the last town on the mainland before Venice. Both are connected by train (it takes a few minutes) and-I think- by train too. This hotel is not far from Mestre's train station and the stop for the airport buses (a ten minutes walk), while there are as well several dining options around, plus an Interspar supermarket. However, it is true that the hotel and the hotel area are ugly. And it is also true that this tired property offers basic accommodation with shared bathrooms (my room only had a single bed, a desk, a table, a wardrobe and a washbasin). Nevertheless, both my room and also the shared bathroom were clean, so it was ok for one night.
