This hotel was everything you would expect from this famous brand. However, this freview is to tell you about a fail-safe method to let you know about the quality of ANY hotel in the whole world. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels on 6 continents. When you arrive in your bedroom, just take a momernt to inspect the silicone mastic edging at floor level around the bath or shower. This standard of the finish will indicate the overall cleanliness, service, and standards of the whole hotel! Try it and see! Let me know your rsults!

This is clearly a hotel that tries to provide a superior experience to the guest – fantastic location; very good, very well maintained room; very kind and attentive personnel; a pair of courtesy water bottles; Nespresso machine in the room... And then, everything is put to waste by a barrage of small but VERY annoying details: You arrive from the airport (counting on going to your room's restroom as soon as possible); receive your key; it works in the elevator... but not in the doorlock. You go back to the reception desk and the (authentically sorry) receptionist provides you with 2 keys, just in case (it is clearly a very common occurrence). It works, this time. Next day – not your last day of stay – you return from the workday and the keys (both of them) do not work again! Meaning it is not a problem with the keys but either a software or a human problem. When you finally get to the room, good luck if you want to call reception. Although there's a "trendy" little prism over your bedside table informing the name of the cleaning lady of your room, there's nowhere you can find out the front desk number – it's not 0, 9, 1, * or # (it's *1, which I'm now informed is a standard in Porto Alegre; but then again, guests are usually from other places, right?). You finally get to talk to someone in the front desk, that informs you that there's no login or password to the wi-fi; you just have to fill up a form and will be logged in. You fill up the form (lots of info requests, including ID number, email etc.). Hit the "Login" button. Comes a window: "please check the 'accept conditions' box before connecting". The 'accept' box is bellow the the login button AND bellow the screen line. Not only this, but all the (excessive) info you had typed in is lost – all the fields are emptied and you have to fill them up all over again. Time to checkout, it is 10:16 am and you want to have a cup of coffee before leaving. The breakfast ends at 10 am exactly and the coffee jars are probably the first to be taken away. You mention it to the checkout clerk and she gives you a free welcome (in this case farewell) drink voucher and you are able to ask a cup of espresso in the bar. This last event synthesizes the experience in the Quality Hotel: lots of effort to compensate for frustrations that could easily have been avoided in the first place, with a modicum of attention to the customer experience. I hope this feedback helps them do exactly that.

I don't recall staying in an Intercity location, but this one was quite satisfactory. Location was perfect nearby the renovated Gasometro and the Praia de Belas Mall (a quarter of mile walking distance). My corporate reservation allowed to stay in a nice room with a decent workspace, a sofa, and a nice view of the Guaiba River. The room was quiet, clean and the fare was affordable. There is a nice coffee shop next to the front desk. Staff is fast, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended in Porto Alegre.

This shop is one of the most cost-effective hotels in Porto Alegre. I have stayed there every year since my business trip in 2013, because the first time I didn’t know it was in another hotel, this hotel is more suitable for business and holiday families. There is a kitchen, the breakfast is really invincible and delicious, the new restaurant moved to the street side, the street view is superb! There is a memorial park next to it, and there are various roadside fruit stalls. It is very safe and you can walk around. It feels like a small European town! The steak of the hotel is good, and the restaurant becomes a bar for drinking in the evening!

For those who like American hotels, you will love it. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with some aspects of the hotel: because it is large (10th floor), everything has to be lined up. Take the elevator and eat breakfast. In the early morning, the elevator stops on all floors. If you are placed on the top floor, you must constantly exercise patience. All this is very bad. Although there are free early check-in ads, please forget this option. The hotel is overcrowded and there are always people coming in and out, so I find it difficult to buy. We arrived at the hotel at 12 and couldn't even get in the room. The advantage is that we can put our luggage there and label it because the place where I store them is full. For vegans/vegetarians, breakfast food has many shortcomings, it only has fruit. The cakes are so sweet that you can't taste them at all. Orange juice is unnatural. The rooms/corridors are carpeted. The swimming pool is small, it even looks like a child's. The hotel needs some maintenance, especially on the terrace, some areas are being renovated. There are no most plants in the vegetable garden = ( The sunset view on the terrace is simply beautiful. Very good gym, equipped with all necessary equipment and mirrors. There is a lounge where you can read books, practice yoga, relax, and the decoration is great. The staff are very friendly. We ordered food through the app, and the receptionist received it and called us to let us know it had arrived. Everyone is very patient and willing to help. Every day the cleaner will ask us if we want her to clean the room. It has cable TV, Netflix and globoplay. I think there is a sink in the room, separate garbage (organic and recyclable), microwave oven and air conditioning are good. The room size is very good and very spacious. The shower was great, the water flow was very strong and very hot (if you want).

The hotel is just opposite the Alegre Port bus stop. It is especially suitable for passengers in transit. It is known that there are no trains in Brazil. Long-distance buses are the main means of transportation from the state capital to the cities in various regions. There are some clocks in the lobby that look like some ages and look very good. The reception English at the front desk was not bad in Brazil, and the service was very warm. The room is neat and tidy. Breakfast is on the back of the three-way, more typical Brazilian breakfast.

The hotel is excellent for the price we pay. Breakfast is fine, rooms are clean and it's very quiet. The area is a little dodgy in the evening, but otherwise very good. I wasn't impressed with customer service though; they wanted to give me and my son a double room although I booked a triple. I explained that as bigger person, I need the double bed for myself and my son sleeps in the single, and they finally let us have it (I had booked online a triple room anyway!) but only the double bed was made with sheets. They refused to make up the single because we are only 2 people. They ended up . giving me sheets and I had to make the single bed for my son myself.

I stayed in Hotel Embaixador for several days during a business trip. The location is not far from the university. It's a somewhat seedy section of town, although to be honest, in driving around the center of Porto Alegre I didn't see much that wasn't seedy. The hotel itself is nice. The front desk staff had some difficulty in English; they could check me in, for example, but could not understand my question about laundry. But a quick call to the manager on duty solved the communication problem; there's always one whose English is solid. In fact, the manager was exceptionally helpful and gave me his personal cell in case I had questions or needed assistance while out in the city. Since it was winter, the hotel was far from packed and the restaurant at night had few people. The food was reasonably good although communicating with the waiter was through pointing and hand gestures. The room I had was large and clean, albeit a bit spartan. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. There is a grocery store two blocks away in case you want to stock your mini-bar.

We have stayed in april/2018 for 1 week and it was very good. The reception was very helpful, our bedroom was in a corner with a fantastic view. Safe box, clean shower, lots of space. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits and fresh juices everyday. We easily moved around using the app Uber. The price was good deal. Just be attention for dont walk around in the terminal bus station that is just crossing the road, it is dangerous at night time. But for us it was very good for one week without any problems.
