We stayed one night in this charming and beautifully renovated and decorated hotel. It was located in a quiet area within walking distance of the old town. Our room was on the ground floor, just off the pretty courtyard. Initially this seemed a perfect spot, but it had its disadvantages: temperatures were exceptionally high and the room had no air conditioning - a ventilator was provided but was too noisy to keep on all night. Opening the window didn't help much, as we were obliged to keep the curtains closed to avoid being disturbed by light coming from what I assume was the kitchen on the other side of the courtyard. We were also woken by noise from the kitchen and people taking an early breakfast in the courtyard. If not for this, I would have given an 'excellent' rating. For a future stay I would choose one of the larger, cooler and more richly decorated rooms on the upper floor. The staff was helpful and very welcoming, the breakfast was plentiful and good value for money: organic cheese and yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit juice, tasty bread and pastries. I very much appreciated too that we could help ourselves to water from a fridge in the hallway and that we had teamaking facilities in our room. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it. Nancy is a beautiful city, definitely worth a visit!

Breakfast is OK, typical French breakfast, dessert is mostly, but it is more monotonous, not very fancy, if you want any special food, you need to ask the waiter separately. The room style and layout are good, belongs to the French retro style, but the area is not big, the facilities are more advanced than the domestic luxury hotel, is the tone of the rural retro. The picture is luxurious and comfortable. The courtyard is beautiful and small. The town is small and there are no scenic spots. The restaurant has some, it is OK. Leisure, quiet relaxation for a few days, you can go, other purposes are not recommended.

From check-in to departure the reception staff were extremely friendly and professional. We had a deluxe room which was spacious and extremely comfortable. The hotel was very clean, well-equipped and spacious, but there was no TV but the wifi allows you to follow a program on the phone, tablet or computer. The closed parking is included in the price . The area is quiet and is located 5 minutes from the city centre by car . The only small bemol is the absence of any person at the reception during this holiday period, which could have been problematic in case of concern. I stayed two nights at the Hotel Mercure Nancy Centre Gare for a conference in October 2022. The hotel is very convenient for the station - only 2 minutes walk, for the conference centre - 5 minutes walk and Place Stanislas in the centre - 10 minutes walk. I had a nice big modern room overlooking La Rue Raymond Poincare which had the usual modern facilities one would expect of a 4 star hotel. The big double bed I had was very comfortable and there was a big T.V and tea and coffee making facilities. Good well-sized bathroom with a great shower and complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was really good and offered all the usual excellent French pastries, bread, cold cuts, fish, cheeses, fruits, boiled eggs, juices and hot coffee, tea and chocolate. In addition there was also scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. So all in all, a very pleasant stay.

Hieronder mijn review en met het antwoord van Best Western terug. Vreemd hoor, er was wel tijd om mijn man te vertellen dat hij even zijn paspoort moest halen, maar zoals hier wordt gesuggereerd, geen tijd om te vertellen dat mijn kinderen niet welkom waren in het zwembad van de Spa. Meneer Julien GATINOIS, wij verblijven al heel wat jaren in goede hotels, heb zelfs gewerkt in één van de beste hotels in Washington D.C. , dus een zwembad met ”waterslides” is ook zeker niet wat wij zoeken. Wij zijn ook zeker bekend met ”adult only” hotels, maar zeker niet met een hotel waar mijn kinderen niet welkom zijn in het zwembad. Jammer dat gastvrijheid niet hoog bij jullie in het vaandel staat. Wij zullen in ieder geval hier nooit meer komen in Nancy en zullen ook niet kiezen voor een Best Western. Dit was de eerste keer bij jullie verblijven en ook de laatste. Review van week geleden: Mijn kinderen mochten niet het zwembad in om 17.00. Het was blijkbaar een adults only zwembad toen we al waren ingecheckt door mijn man en ik kater kwam met de kinderen. We said that we needed to tell more about our services and proceed to the registration but your husband was in a rush and insisted that he needed to park the car prior to anything else, not leaving us the time to explain anything about the hotel. Despite the fact that we had no registration properly done, we prepared your room for 4 persons, adding towels and installing the sofa bed. When all the family came back from the parking, we then proceeded to the payment, the check in, and informed you about the special hours for the children in the spa : at 8:00 am or at 9:00 am from tuesday to sunday, and at 10:00 am and 11:00 am on monday. We do have a spa, not a campground pool with waterslides. The place is dedicated to calm and relaxation : that’s why children are not forbidden but have a limited access.
