I stayed here and wrote a positive review about a year ago and just completed another stay recently. Having traveled all over Japan, I would say this hotel is definitely one of the better ones. The room I received during my recent stay, while the same odd configuration, felt newer, slightly remodeled or just better maintained. I find it to be very clean and extremely neat. More importantly, the staff here is just amazing. They are incredibly caring, kind and graceful. While typical of Japanese culture, I would consider the service is above-and-beyond by Western standard and above those of other nearby hotels. The hotel has an unusually large collection of super useful literature in the lobby, including a perfectly illustrated instruction on how to get to/from Haneda airport. Since I am familiar with Kamata, I find the instructions to be spot on and translated in perfect English. Other literature including restaurants and shop recommendations are all translated to perfect English. This is uncommon for other hotels in the Kamata and Ota areas. It really goes to show the exceptional service provided here... I will definitely come back again when I need to be in this area or transit through Haneda airport.FromUS$38.00

First of all, I love the neighborhood. 2nd, how it's so close to Kamata station. 3rd, though it's so convenient, their rates will not break your budget. It is near 7/11, Lawson, Family mart and Don Quijote. All withing a 500 meter radius. There are pubs and ramen shops. One of my favorites is that, they are close to a post office to send post cards home. Lastly, the staff is so caring. We were here during the Hagibis typhoon and though their kitchen is closed, the staff that were left working made sure we were taken care of. There was a typhoon and an earthquake and we were just hangin' out at the hotel. They made us feel safe. Thank you so much for taking care of us.FromUS$27.00

When I first arrived here, I thought I wouldn’t last the five night booking I made. Though after a while I got used to the place. Good showers, an area to do laundry, a locker to keep your suitcase in, decent sleeping area with ventilation. For £25 a night, I only needed a bed as I was out all day. It is funny that everyone is wearing the issued blue top and shorts pyjamas, which looks like a hospital with the Japanese cast of, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. It also helps that Kamata, the area is quite lively. Plenty of decent restaurants, totally different to the ones at Shibuya.FromUS$34.00

I chose this place because of a very early flight. It is close to the airport bus station and 20 minutes to the international terminal. The disadvantage is that the single room is too small. It is clean and tidy to take off shoes and enter the room. But at 2 o'clock in the night, someone tried to open my door. It was scary. Thanks to the lock in advance, the door was chained.FromUS$64.00

Typical Japanese business hotel about seven minutes walk from the railway station . Very small rooms .There is hardly any room to open your big international luggage, especially if your wife has two of them, plus your own. Toilet so tiny the toilet seat has to be angled otherwise you can't close the toilet door. No public bath for soaking. Breakfast provided. Typical Japanese affair, rice fish boiled eggs nutto small saussages , good place to learn to eat what the Japanese have for breakfast. Overall, good clean efficient hotel.FromUS$46.00

I was hesitant initially after booking the hotel for our trip to watch the RWC Quarter final match at Tokyo Stadium but bowled over after the 6 days trip. The hotel is 20 mins from Haneda Airport. You can take the bus limousine at 280 Yen with the bus frequency about every 30 mins. In fact , even when i had to depart through Narita, i used this bus back to Haneda and then take a bus transfer from Haneda to Narita which takes about 1 1/2 hours and cost about 3,600 Yen. It is seamless when you are carrying luggage and thou about 15-20 mins slower than taking a train, it is cheaper and more convenience. The hotel is just a 5 mins walk from Kamata Station and there is lots of supermarket, bakery, restaurants nearby, worth your 1-2 hrs to explore. Train trips take about 30-40 mins to reach Shibuya, Tokyo station and Shinjuku. The room is spacious, there is ice machines on each floor and fully equipped with toiletries. There is a hot water flask where you can pick up tea bags from the lobby. There is also additional toiletries you can take from the lobby such as toner, aftershave, moisturizers, bath salts among others packed on nice travel size. I found this an ingenious way to engage travelers. Check-in and Check-out was fast with polite front desk staff who will greet you each time you return to the hotel. Overall, i highly recommend this hotel and i look forward to returning one day. FromUS$35.00

Room was clean, equipped with bathtub, fridge and tv. Ironing board need to get at the reception counter Check-in at 3pm and check-out at 11pm. Can add additional hours at ¥2000 per hour. Conveniently can store your luggage at reception without additional cost. A decent english speaking reception. There’re a few can speak and understand English but good enough. Near to Kamata Train Station. Just a 5 minutes walk. But a bit far from Central Tokyo. There’re a nice shopping complex at Kamata Station or even next to the hotel. Family mart is also just a block away from hotel. Price is cheap if compare to other hotels that have a “real” room. Not dorm or capsule. Go for direct booking from Hotel’s page rather than using other hotel reservation page/apps. However, 10-16 points can not be in the room, otherwise it will not be cleaned; the kettle needs to go to the front desk to rent. Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area.

Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From it's central location (right across the street from the Shinagawa train station) and close proximity to many restaurants and shops, this will be our go-to hotel in Tokyo. Perfect for first time visitors and frequent visitors to Tokyo because of its location, amenities, and service.
Close to public transit was a must when evaluating a hotel to stay anywhere, especially Tokyo because I didn't want to carry/drag luggage far. This hotel meets that as the hotel is located directly across the street from the Shinagawa train station. Also, the airport limousine bus stops at the Shinagawa prince hotel. Location to transit made this one of the top reasons why we loved this hotel.
There are a few towers on property so the room you book determines which tower lobby you check-in too. There are plenty of signs in english to direct you to the appropriate check-in lobby and the staff are more than willing to help as well. Checking in was smooth and quick as our room was ready (we checked in around 7pm), clean, and spacious. Like I mentioned, there are lots of room types available you just have to find one that works for you. In this instance, a corner room King offered plenty of room and a rather large bathroom for Japanese standards. We actually ended up with a killer view of the Shinagawa train station. Spacious and clean rooms was another reason why we loved this hotel.
In addition to the hotel being close in proximity to a central train station (both JR and local routes here), there are numerous shops and restaurants within the hotel property, adjoining the hotel property, and within walking distance to the hotel. A 7-Eleven, McDonalds, and food court are a few of the options on property with endless options for eating and shopping within walking distance to the property. Close proximity to restaurants and shops is also one of the top reasons why we loved this hotel.
Above all else, what makes this property stand out is the level of service from staff and the cleanliness of the entire property, inside and out. Ever single staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful, and respectful. Everything from the lobby, guest rooms, hallways and public areas were clean, really clean, something we loved.
Again, I cannot recommend the Shinagawa Prince Hotel enough and we can't wait to come back.

Good location. Close to Shinjuku station and Toyota Car Rental. Can take the Airport Limousine Bus to and from Narita or Haneda Airport around the corner at the Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku Hotel. A few nice diners and chemists in proximity. Very popular place and a little bit worn out. Small rooms small beds. The twin bed rooms have only twin single 3-1/2 feet bed. Its not even semi-double. Can't share bed with a young children at all.

If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.
