The location is good, close to Plaza Catalunya, and the front desk service is super friendly. The most friendly hotel I stayed in Spain. Although the facilities are a bit old, they have European style. The rooms are quite exquisite and have everything. There are even kettles, which are not available in most hotels in Europe. The only drawback is that the kettles are moldy and nobody has cleaned them. Besides, the faucet in the bathroom is a little leaky. Apart from these two points, I think this one The hotel is really great!

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. To start, I believe the hotel is falsely advertising the rooms as soundproof but they are far from soundproof. You should not be able to hear people coughing down in reception from your room. All night all you can hear is doors slamming shut. What’s made worse is that the void in the middle of the hotel just makes the noise eco around more. On our final night I had to knock on next doors door at 4am to ask them to turn their music down & to stop being so loud. At 5am I finally went down to reception as they had kept me awake for almost 3 hours. The rooms are dark & dingy which makes it feel really unwelcoming and cold. There’s no window to outside, which made it hard for myself to do my makeup and also made it really hard to wake up on a morning. The room was just constantly dark and was quite depressing. Customer service in the hotel was non existent. We complained about the ‘soundproof room’ and the guy on reception just shrugged his shoulder and said he would tell his manger. No apology that we felt that way was given nor a offer to move us room. We voiced this opinion at the time but he was less than interested and when we asked for a manager he said the main manager wasn’t in at all that weekend and they don’t have duty manager. The two on reception seemed to have no idea how to deal with upset customers or have any basic customer service skills. God forbid something serious happened and they only had them two in the building. The view from the terrace is amazing but once again the service was horrendous. The first time we went, I went to the bar to order drinks to be told to sit down and wait for someone to come. After 20/25 minutes of waiting no one came so we left. On our last day the weather was so nice we tried again, but again the service was slow and it took 30 minutes after ordering our drinks for them to arrive. When we wanted to pay for our drinks the waiter snapped at my partner for not presenting a voucher we had sooner. Again, showing a major lack of customer service. The pool was packed by people just laying at the side of it, making it impossible for anyone else to use it. Overall, I think all the staff were rude and seemed very unhappy to be there. The rooms were dark and dingy. Definitely not four star standards. I would avoid at all costs and spend your hard earned money elsewhere as it’s expensive for a 2 star hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights for my 70th birthday. Generally the hotel was OK however what we didn't know is that there is a school either side of the hotel and they were playing basketball (noisily) till 10.30pm on the night we arrived so we could use the balcony or have the patio doors open. The noise started again @ 08.00 on Friday morning. The hotel has 24hr tea & coffee facilities on the 1st floor (our room was on the 3rd floor) but also has a kettle in the room. The hotel only uses paper cups and after the 2nd day ours were ever replenished. On the 2nd day the shower tray filled with water and overflowed under the door when my wife had her shower. I had to wait quite a while to let the water flow away before I could have mine. When we were leaving that morning, we told the concierge (Daniel) who said he would get it sorted. When we came back in the evening the grating and insert had been removed from the tray (and were never put back). We had not had any towels left in our room and we had come back with barely an hour. to change & go out. We spoke to the girl on the desk and asked if it was OK to use the shower and to get us some towels. She had no information about the shower and said she would get us some towels. When she didn't come within 15 minutes with them my wife went back down Ater initially saying she couldn't leave the desk as she was the only person on, came up with towels. Checking the floor adjacent to the shower (which had a mat over it) it is obvious that the problem with the shower is not new and has never been satisfactorily sorted which is disappointing.

The hotel facilities are really good and breakfast is free. Simple bread, coffee, milk is OK. The room has a small balcony. The soundproofing effect is also very good for sleeping at night. The transportation is also very convenient, whether it is to scenic spots or in Gera The luxury streets of West Asia are very convenient for shopping

🌸 The location of the hotel is very good, this price is really very satisfying when staying at such a hotel in Barcelona. Just beside Plaza Catalunya, walk to the airport bus location for 10 minutes. It should be a residential building, the whole floor is a hotel, because only the last day of his family has a room, set a day. There is a small sign downstairs, jingle bells, and some people open the door. After entering, there is an old elevator that goes to the front desk. 🌸 Free space has an open-air balcony, very clean, the room is really big, much bigger than the 4 stars that I lived in before, and the door that opened the box could not be opened. Not far from the subway station. The sanitary conditions are very good, at least there are beds on the bed, Europe travels for more than 10 days, and some hotels have not been really scared to me. Provides shampoo and body wash, but no dental appliances. 🌸 Talk about the most people who spit out, his front desk is not 24 hours, the service time is 8:00 to 10:00, so it is more troublesome if you stay in the middle of the night, the room has a key, including the downstairs door, this The landing door also has the key to the room door. I will tell you the emergency call, just in case there is no one at the front desk. 🌸 If it is not late at night, I think his home is very cost-effective. My room also has a small balcony. Unfortunately, there was no time to enjoy in Barcelona on the last day. The hotel looks like there is no breakfast.

Advantages: Good location, convenient to walk and ride by car. The hotel is very high value and relatively new. There is a very simple coffee break and the reception service is good. Disadvantages: There is decoration taste, the wardrobe is very obvious, the tap water message is very heavy, stayed for four days, it is very uncomfortable to use. There was only one pack of paper towels in four days, and there was no supplement. It’s a bit strange to re-authorize through Ctrip.

Where do I begin! From emailing the hotel to have flowers and chocolates and a nice card for our other friends who planned our trip upon arrival , to them having an awesome transportation company pick us up from the airportS checking in was great and easy, we had a beautiful suite. The location is perfect , everything is in walking distance to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and all speak great english. They would go above and beyond to get you whatever you need or to accommodate you. Enric is amazing and so is everyone at the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

I booked a junior suite room for two nights because I booked my honeymoon accommodation. There was a spa, but I can't use it because it comes in late every night. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and good at English so I didn't have any problems communicating. It is located on the driveway, so it's not dangerous, and it's only 5 minutes walk from Cataluna Square. The metro was right in front of the hotel so it was easy. Breakfast is very diverse and not so, but it changes little by little every day and there's always a dream. You can ask for an egg omelet (you can add cheese, so ask the staff to add cheese). Coffee can be either black (commonly known as Americano) or cappuccino. We had breakfast each morning and were generally satisfied ♥ If you go to Barcelona, I want to visit you again!

Kept our expectations low but were rewarded on arrival with the location and standards in this hotel especially in relation to the price we paid. Good welcome on arrival and offered a room at the front of the hotel with a small balcony overlooking the Gran Via. You can hear the traffic but this is a busy city and that is the reality and wasn’t that bad at night to be honest. Room was spotless and beds comfortable, toiletries were appreciated. Well done housekeeping. Maintenance also brilliant after an issue with the roomsafe. Breakfast was brilliant with plenty choice definitely more than a standard continental breakfast. The staff were welcoming and constantly clearing the tables and checking the produce. Calm place to sit before a busy day of sightseeing. Reception staff acknowledged you on entering and leaving the hotel with a smile. Had a fantastic break.

Good value for money The room was bigger than I expected, very clean, the maid came in every day and I had no complaints! I read some comments that there is noise from the road. Do not worry about this, just ask for a quiet room and they will put you in the back of the hotel, where there is no noise. I was at 803 and it was very quiet! I did not have breakfast because it was so expensive! The hotel is very central, next to the most central Metro station. Right next door there is an amazing steakhouse that you should definitely eat there. The only negative is that the room could have a kettle and two glasses.

This hotel was fine, and yet quite confounding. What should have been a fine experience otherwise was marred several stupid and small flaws, which would be really easy to fix, if there was any will at all on the part of management:   1) Check-in - with only one person before me, took 20 minutes. Computers were not working.    2) Privacy policy - I was made to sign a paper, but after signing the person kept the paper. I had no copy so no record of what I signed.   3) Room: Totally baffling array of switches for the lighting system, impossible to decipher.   4) Hair dryer: broken, screeching sound and no air coming out. Wondef if the staff bother check them? I was quite scared and turned it off immediately.   5) Contacting reception - I had to use my mobile phone to call the front desk to report the hair dryer, at which time i was told that the number to contact reception was 1700. Amazing. NO one said that on check in. I did later discovered it was handwritten on the key-card paper, but the receptionist could have bothered to point that out.   6) Elevators. Ridiculous! I visited several floors to find the way back to reception. There is a giant sign OUTSIDE the elevator that says 0 for reception. But INSIDE the elevator there is no ”O”, only ”B”. I finally go thtere, but I mean seriously, how unhelpful.   7) Invoice - I requested an invoice at reception on departure. When I got home I discovered it is not even a correctly done official invoice for VAT purposes. It was issued on a plain piece of paper, lacked the company name address and VAT number, and they didn´t bother to put my info on it.   I had to write to atencion cliente and comercia1 to request a new one.   Items 5 and 6 could be so easily solved with small stickers (one for each phone, two for each elevator).   How much effort is that? Obviously too much.    I should add, that the stay was otherwise fine. This could be a five star experience. Except, it isn't.   These are small things. Never have I encountered a hotel that gave off such a feeling of no one caring at all about the place.

Pros: Great location; beautiful, clean modern rooms; great coffee, lovely appointed kitchen that guests may use. Cons: Lack of communication; no sound proofing between rooms & halls; AC didn't work. I would not stay here again & therefore would not recommend this hotel. I’m still baffled as to the high ratings on this website and other travel websites. I’ll be wary to go by ratings again for accommodations I find on this website and other popular travel websites. 1) When we arrived there was no one available to let us in. The reception is open only from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Check in is at 3:00, no one was even available to leave luggage. It's extremely inconvenient. We wasted a lot of time the day of check-in. We sent multiple WhatsApp messages & could see that they had been received, but there were no responses even though I requested responses. A phone call ended in a hang up on their end. There was a sign on the door stating the hotel would be closed until after the day we had a reservation to check in. This was disconcerting (see photo). Someone should man the desk during normal business hours, 9-5. In speaking with other guests & even the hotel staff at another nearby accommodation, this is a frequent event. Other travelers there during our stay had a similar experience --- wasting a lot of time trying to check in or drop-off bags. 2) Temp control didn’t cool the room. The thermostats in the room don’t control the temperature in the rooms. We had left one of our keys, which work the outlets, plugged in the entire day. The room was still hot when we returned early evening. The owner suggested we leave the key in the outlet totally disregarding my comment that we had done exactly that — left one of the keys in the outlet all day. When we returned at midnight, the room was still hot & this was May. I cannot even imagine the inferno the room will be in the summer months. 3) There's minimal soundproofing. You can hear guests from other rooms and in the hallway.

From entering the hotel to the time we checked out we were treated like royalty. We came to Barcelona for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and on the day of check in I was greeted by beautiful patisserie and a bottle of chilled cabs in our room! Our first breakfast was heralded by complimentary pancakes and the staff were so courteous and helpful. But what made our stay so special was that this isn’t just an ordinary city hotel. They ooze individuality at every opportunity, from the selection of drinks in your room to the evening entertainment and everything else in between. This is our little secret hideaway in Barcelona, and we shall be returning.

A very pleasant stay, we arrived late at night and the woman on reception was polite and spoke great English. Our room was basic but clean and tidy and that's all we wanted and expected. The hotel was fairly quiet, I have read a few reviews about loud music but we had a room at the front of the hotel only 1 floor up and I can honestly say we heard nothing and got 3 good nights sleep. The hotel is situated quite far away from the main part of Barcelona where many of the tourist locations are but its about a 5 minute walk to the nearest tube station and it's all easy enough to navigate so you are there in no time at all. Every night we stayed we retired back to the hotel about 7 or 8pm we sat in the bar area until about 11pm and had a few relaxing drinks. The two people on the bar a young girl and an older gentleman where absolutely fantastic and I cannot thank them enough for making us feel welcome, they bent over backwards to make us feel at home and served us drinks to our table as well as supplying us with some complimentary nuts which never go a miss after a few beers. All in all it was perfect for our long weekend break. Thank you.

We recently stayed at the Majestic Barcelona. It was everything that one would expect of a five star hotel. The location is great - walking distance from many of the city's best attractions and restaurants. It also has a great rooftop bar that overlooks the city. The fine dining restaurant at the hotel is also very good, and we had an excellent dinner there. We did, however, have a problem with one aspect of the hotel. They advertise tours which are described in great detail on the hotel website. The problem is that as of our visit the website had not been updated post-Covid and the description of the very expensive tour that we booked was inaccurate and we did not what was advertised. After a lot of arguing on our part, and after initial push back by the hotel's management, the finally made things right. All's well that ends well, but it did put a tinge on an otherwise wonderful stay.

Personnel très agréable , carte individuelle pour chaque personne de la chambre permettant d'accéder aux étages par l'ascenseur et pour ouvrir porte de chaque pallier ainsi que porte de la chambre et d'un grand tiroir sous le lit. In terms of comfort it is very light , there is the strict minimum. However, bathroom and shower really too narrow , automatic light that starts when you go to the toilet . It has a nice small feel that allows you to make real connections with the other guests. They offer home cooked dinners every night for a small price that are a great way to meet people and the rooms are very clean. But the beach is right in front, and the view from the room is really nice. The breakfast was also the most satisfactory of any hotel I have visited so far. The service was great and the facilities were clean too. However, the bathroom is separated by translucent glass rather than a wall, so it may be a little uncomfortable when using it with friends or family rather than a couple.

Easy to get to the airport, bus 46 direct. 3 minutes walk to the city subway. There is also a Chinese restaurant within walking distance, opposite Sants, which is more cost-effective than the paid breakfast provided by the hotel. After eating a breakfast, 7 euros a person, very few types, except coffee is cold. It is recommended to go to the Chinese restaurant to eat a bowl of beef noodles of 4.5 euros. The facilities are very clean and modern.

The contactless check in instructions were clear and worked well except in the key locker we were given the wrong key to enter our apartment block! A bit of a hiccup and was hard to get help over the phone but after that point it all went smoothly. The apartment was clean, fresh, spacious and airy. had a balcony for every room and the beds were comfy for a group of 6 lads for our trip to Barcelona. Everything was clean and tidy and all cooking/cleaning equipment was provided. There wasnt an iron but we bought one and left it at the apartment so hopefully this is there for the next guests. The location is great, 1 block from casa battlo, and half way between the beach and la sagrada familia / park guell so it was quite central for travelling. Its only a 15-20 min taxi from the airport aswell. Turn left straight out the building and you are on las ramblas street and can walk up or down for all kind of restuarants and shops. I think some of the apartments in the block are residential and we crossed paths with them a few times and they were so lovely too, one of them helped us out when we had been given the wrong key and even let us borrow his while he went out! All in all a great stay in a great location would defo recommend.

Unfortunately, a review like this is necessary so you don’t run into the same issues we ran into. The positives are the room and hotel are both clean and modern. Generally, that would be plenty reason to recommend the hotel. Continue reading … If you stay here do NOT book the mini room. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel room in my life. I’ve stayed in NYC where rooms are known to be small, but this place took it to the next level. The bed was tiny and shoved up against a wall. If you’re staying with your partner, one of you will need to climb over the other. If you’ve got any kind of luggage, that’ll take the remaining floor space, literally. We found it almost impossible to open our luggage. Due to the rooms triangle shape everything about the room is simply awkward. You could barely turn around in the shower without hitting a wall. Walking into the bathroom alone was a challenge and I’m not a very large person at all. If you’re a larger person or needing room for a wheelchair or walker, this room isn’t for you. If you’re traveling as a couple, this room isn’t for you. This was booked through a travel agent so we didn’t know this was the room that was booked. I wish I had, but truth is even the pictures didn’t make this room look as uncomfortable as it was in real life. This isn’t where our discomfort ended. The ventilation system was pumping outdoor odor into the room. Add the fact the room is small, you can see how this quickly became an issue. I’m also not sure if they have some sort of toilet paper shortage, but we had to ask for TP twice. They never give you more than one and didn’t add any after tidying up the room even though it was obvious we’d need some with 2 nights left in our stay. Simply, we never looked forward to returning to our room. We never got a decent nights rest. This room shouldn’t be an option for anyone that’s not traveling alone. If you stay in one of the larger rooms you may have a different experience, but this was our experience and it was our only negative experience in Barcelona. The breakfast is ok. It’s convenient, but you can find better for about the same price. Location was fine. It didn’t seem unsafe to us. It’s right outside some of the major sites so expect to walk or take a cab.

Clean and efficient use of space as the room was not a traditional square/rectangle and the single was well placed to give a bit more floor space. The bathroom was nice, but a bit lacking in privacy due to the sliding door that doesn't lock, but it was at least somewhat spacious, especially the shower. I also liked the location just a couple of blocks from Sagrada Familia. Beware - it is a bit hard to find the office as it is diagonally across the street and NOT obvious from the street markings!

Really great central location. Hotel was spot on for what we needed. Pretty basic but had everything for a 3 night stay. Maids came everyday and cleaned our room. Buffet breakfast was fine to fill yourself up on. Orange juice freshly squeezed perfect. The gentleman and lady on reception very helpful. Room had a nice balcony looking out over some other buildings but was very quiet. The people started building work but was very quiet up until about 9am, you don't really need to be up any later than that. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need a bed in a tidy clean hotel for a few nights. Super

The location was excellent and I felt very safe when out for a run in the early morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the hotel breakfast and it was perfectly acceptable -- nothing spectacular but no problems either. The shower in particular was a problem in that it drained poorly, was very slippery when wet (see: drained poorly), and caused a lot of flooding on the floor of the main bathroom, which increased the slippery danger. The beds were comfortable and I appreciated the staff leaving an extra pillow in the armoire if we wanted it.

Barcelona is a beautiful city, but the Holiday Inn Express experience we had was terrible. I'm giving 2 stars only for the location which was near to the 'Llacuna' metro station. Otherwise, it only deserves 1 star. We went there in April 2022, and the weather was hot. Before finalizing the booking, we saw that the hotel had mentioned 'air conditioning' in the amenities. Only after seeing that did we finalize the booking and paid for it. But after reaching there, we discovered that the hotel room was hot and suffocating. We were told that the air conditions of the entire building offer either hot air or cold air, but at one time! So, there's no way to switch a 'room's' particular air conditioning, which was insane. We thought opening the windows would solve the issue, but hell no. The noise from the road didn't let us sleep for even one night, out of the three nights we were there at. We asked for some sort of compensation, but the managers only offered us two free drinks at the bar. Is that some kind of a joke? We said nothing more, and only stayed outside in the city for most of the time, as staying in the hotel was the 'last thing' we were looking forward to. Even the breakfast was substandard compared to what we have had at other hotels in Europe in the past. This was an eye-opening experience for us, as we vowed we would never book a holiday inn, inside Europe now! There are much better hotel chains, offering more amenities at similar prices. We got duped by the brand name. Not anymore!

Although I live alone, I booked a deluxe double room, but the room was super small. I brought a suitcase and could barely open it on the ground. Also, the room was a patio room. The view was originally invisible. No hotel with shampoo, personal point of view, the taste is super bad ,,,

Arrived around 10am - 4 hours prior to check in - and our room was ready. So thankful to the hotel for such an early check in. Check in quick and smooth, receptionist was great. Room 105 with a small balcony facing front of the hotel. Beautiful and spacious room. Was a little noisy at night but expected as very close to Las Ramblas. Great choice for breakfast with very tasty and fresh food. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was really good. Roof top pool and bar was great. Service was ok. Check out was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend Hotel Espana.

Lovely stay, had a Rambla double on the 3rd floor which came with a little balcony overlooking the main street outside. Couldn't hear a thing when the door was shut however. Really well located for the main attractions, supermarket next door for anything you need, bars/coffee shops on the doorstop. Once you are in the hotel it is like entering a calm oasis. Great breakfast included in our stay and a couple of complimentary drinks for being h10 club members. Staff were attentive & friendly. Only slight drag was one morning the water in the shower was lukewarm but it was back up and running by the evening.

A very good 4-star hotel with good health, service and location. The subway station is the doorstep, it is the L2 departure station, and you can also take the L3, which is very close to the city center. I consulted a lot of final choices before booking the hotel. Ctrip is about 200 cheaper than the site.

Hotel location is quite good, next to the mall ~ 5 minutes from the L1 subway, 12 minutes from the L5 subway, there are places to eat around, there is a small supermarket ~ of course you need to stroll on the way to the subway. The room is not big ~ very clean ~ cost is quite high ~ 5 stations from Sagrada Familia ~

Great hotel, superb location, lovely room. Plentiful breakfast and helpful staff. We stayed with friends for 3 nights and could not fault so pleased we stayed here ! The gothic quarter was in our opinion the best area we loved being so close to the beach and the lovely hidden Tapas restaurants that all came alive at night. The staff at the hotel were so lovely and helpful and our room was large with a fridge, air conditioning and great waterfall shower - would stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel September 2022. Me and my boyfriend have just come back from Barcelona and I can happily say we would return to this hotel again. Not only was this hotel a great price for 5 days but it also surpassed our expectations. When we arrived at this hotel we were greeted by some very friendly faces who were happy to help despite it being almost midnight- they also speak excellent english. Check in was very quick and easy and when we saw the room we were also satisfied. The room was very clean, no signs of wear and tear, and the same for the bathroom- very clean, no signs of mould, insects, stains etc. The towels that they provided were also very soft! The cleaner did an excellent job on our room everyday, admittedly we are a bit messy so we were very grateful for this. The hotel overall is very clean and modern looking , and on top of this they provide free coffee and water all day everyday. The pool is a bit small and the tiles on the floor outside the pool are a bit shaky/loose so be careful when you are walking about but nothing too devastating- we enjoyed a good splash and a sunbathe never the less. No breakfast is provided but we knew this going into the hotel- I am vegan so this probably wouldn’t have helped me anyway. The location of the hotel is also perfect- near the city centre, right near the metro, good restaurants, easy 20 min walk to beach and aquarium. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again. The only thing I would say is that they should provide hand soap in the bathrooms but this is not a big deal at all. Thank you to the onix team.

Hotel location is very good, just next to Rambla Avenue, the room is very spacious, the balcony is large, the large floor-to-ceiling windows are very good, the front desk is also very warm, because the advance booking of the Barcelona La Liga competition temporarily changed the time, the hotel front desk also specially help to contact Barcelona The official confirmation of the exact time of the game, although only three stars, but no worse than some of the five-star hotels in Shanghai, definitely give five stars! ! ! If you still have a chance to go to Barcelona in the future, you will definitely stay at this hotel.
