Caroline was the best. She made sure we kept the same room through out our stay. When I booked with central they did multiple bookings for our stay & said we might have to change rooms multiple times. I would also like to give a "SHOUT OUT" to the rest of the staff at the front desk who were very positive, friendly & helpful which made our stay very pleasant. If we needed anything they would do their best to accommodate The only thing that would have made it better for me is upgrading to a better mattress as my back hurt every day sleeping on the ones you have. There was no snack bar but they did provide a full breakfast buffet every morning & cookies in the evening. Coffee was always on.

The grounds are marvelous, beautiful foliage and perfectly maintained. You’re in your own oasis. Our room was impeccably clean. Our only issue was that the bed was not firm. If you have back issues, I’d recommend you request a firm mattress. The pools are well maintained and they have a fire pit to sit around at night. The fellow greeting us at the Office was super friendly. Plenty of hammocks on the grounds. Our room certainly wasn’t sound proof. You could clearly hear the guests next door. We’d definitely stay again. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

With everyone coming out of the pandemic and beginning to travel again this hotel is above and beyond expectations, speaking as a previous Courtyard by Marriott in Glenwood Springs, CO. They have a full breakfast, with eggs, a protein, as well as a stir-fry starch - with all the regular offerings such as yogurt, pastries, an assortment of juices, and fresh coffee at the touch of a button. Their front desk staff if wonderful - Pedro makes you feel welcome and at home, no matter your background or how long your stay is. This place is truly a home away from home. If your room is not ready yet, you are welcome to sit in their lounge, connect to WiFi, or even enjoy yourself by the pool (towels provided) - they even have a hot tub, and the ability to help disabled individuals into the pool. Housekeeping is wonderful and full of life and a passion for their job. I am on an extended stay, as I apply and interview for jobs back in Colorado, and my car is even being transported out to here. I have felt very welcome, as has my dog Bruce Wayne. I am a licensed clinician and have traveled a lot around the country and this is one of my favorite Choice properties. They sell out on the weekends, so be sure to make your booking early. They even have a few rooms with whirlpools if you really want to treat yourself. It has been a blessing to come across this place, that is pet-friendly, and the staff all make you feel welcome. I can't say enough positives about this property - and there's been no problems with water pressure or the WiFi connectivity. The BBQ grill out back is a wonderful touch, and allows you to save some money by cooking dinner right at your accommodation. Bravo! Encore! Thank you for all you do.

Pros - The rooms were up to date and very clean. - Fun game room for the kids and safe and well maintained - service at the beach club was phenomenal - you can fish off the dock at the hotel, kids loved that! And they provide bait. - the shuttle was so convenient Cons - No kids club - Only one restaurant open at the hotel - Extreme disconnect between the hostess and servers. It took over 10 minutes for a server to greet us after being sat three times during my stay. - No refillable water stations - no recycling bins at the hotel or in the rooms - plastic straws served at the beach club on the sand - plastic straws, garbage, and plastic cups from the ritz beach club were blowing all over the place including the ocean - very slow service at the pool at the hotel for food and drinks - only one place to buy water (at the restaurant) which has a secret door that closes and turns into a wall after 4 pm. Evelyn and Jorge were excellent servers at the hotel Tatum and Taylor were phenomenal servers at the beach club

Our family was in Sarasota for a soccer tournament recently. We always enjoy Home2 Suites because of the large rooms, kitchenette and full sized refrigerator. Hotel prices in the area jumped 150% for the weekend of the tournament, so we ended up paying over $300 a night. The hotel sits right on a busy road, and the road noise is loud enough we needed to use white noise on our phones throughout the night. Even with this, loud cars, motorcycles and helicopters woke us up nightly. We asked to move to the other side of the hotel for the last 4 nights of our reservation and were told we couldn't. Our sliding bathroom door would not close, and had to be lifted and shimmied to get close to closing. On the morning of day 4 of our stay, we asked for our room to be serviced, as that is a long time for 4 people to use the same towels (with no enough hooks to hang the towels) and small wastebaskets. We were told we needed to arrange for it the day prior, and that they would not be able to accommodate us. The breakfast hours are 6-9 am even on weekends. 9 am just seemed very early to be finished with breakfast on a weekend. Overall, this was an experience we would have expected from a much cheaper stay. But having paid over $1500 for our stay, we were just expecting something a little nicer.

This is a pleasant property, conveniently located to Sarasota and Bradenton. My one complaint is the lighting. They re did the upholstery which is good. The room was comfortable. However, the lighting is either glaring or dim. Not bad in the bedroom area, but too sterile in the bathroom area and not enough in the shower area.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a trip to Sarasota for a soccer tournament for our kids. I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. The moment we checked in I knew it was a mistake. Upon entering our first room I immediately called other hotels in the area to switch but all were booked due to the tournament. The ceiling in the room was peeling off from water leaks, the bathroom was moldy and you could barely breathe in the room from the smell. I called to the front desk and they switched our room and claimed “they must have forgotten to clean it” The second room was not any better. It was like a horror movie. Someone who stayed previously had clearly projectile vomited all around the toilet and splattering the walls which was never cleaned. The shower was worse than the first room, completely lined with block mold from side to side. There were brown handprints from who know what smeared all over the walls. There were ROACHES walking in the hallways. The shower (which I didn’t take for the entire stay) didn’t even drain. Our friends in a neighboring room found entire moldy old meals shoved under their beds crawling with mold. They had to shut the water off because the shower handles stoped working. Our curtains were covered in crusted mold and salt stains from water leak from the window. It was truly the most horrific weekend of our lives. We didn’t take our shoes off once. We bought new sheets for the beds and make it ourselves. We even left to use the restroom. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE. I was so repulsed I stopped even taking photos which I truly regret so I should accurately show how horrifying the hotel is

The facilities at The Sarasota Modern are ideal for a special event such as the 30th birthday party that we gave my daughter. The setting overlooking the pool with a covered patio and accessible bar area is especially suited for any small to medium size event. The hotel affectively setup a customized bar and buffet option of my choice all at a reasonable price. The sales staff were awesome to work with along with the maintenance man who helped with the setup. The bartender was exceptional as she not only served our guests drinks she also handled all aspects of the buffet. My daughter and our guests had a wonderful and memorable time celebrating at The Sarasota Modern. We have had one guest reach out to us because he would like to host a birthday party for his wife at this venue.

We love Marriott, and that is why we are titanium level- But -we just experienced the worst Marriott stay at the Aloft Sarasota downtown. In short- Do not stay here! It seems that Marriott has tried to offer an Uber cool young style with the Aloft brand to counter the so-called “stuffiness” of JW Marriott. However this is a major fail. You can be contemporary and modern and still be competent, clean, and comfortable. None of those three qualities describe the Sarasota Aloft. Our standard request is for an “upper floor non-smoking extra pillow” room. That has been on our profile for decades. We tried to upgrade our reservation using our upgrade awards -but those were not accepted by Aloft. That was fine. So we simply requested a city view —Not a suite upgrade which is an often upgrade for titanium members- just a city view. However our room looked directly at a cement wall with a window across from us. We called the front desk to request A different room with an outside view and we were told, “we gave you an upper floor”. So we suggested a change to any floor as long as we had sunshine out our window. We were told that there were no king rooms available, even though the hotels seem totally empty. We were then offered two queens. We accepted and moved our luggage to a room that didn’t look out on what seemed like a prison wall. As you can see in the pictures attached- this was not a clean room. Floors were never swept in the three days we stayed there. The refrigerator, which reminded us of our college days, sat on the floor of the bathroom. Fortunately we now carry Lysol wipes due to the pandemic as for the first time on our trip we had to use them just to clean the desktops bedside tables etc. In the photo below you can see what the charging station looked like. So much for cleanliness. Cheap thin towels and the list goes on. The next three days was a series of bad service. They didn’t clean our room one day after we had nicely mentioned to the cleaning staff in the hallway that we were leaving for the day. We were gone eight hours. Upon returning we found that nothing had been touched in our room, piles of towels on the floor -beds unmade -and when we called the front desk we were told that housekeeping had left for the day. WE then suggested that maybe someone could bring us some clean towels, not their suggestion. No one from management even contacted us during our stay- no apology- . Instead of listing more issues with both the room, the hotel, or the staff - suffice to say —stay anywhere other than the Aloft in downtown Sarasota….Unless you are checking in at midnight and leaving first thing in the morning. We wish we had read earlier reviews on this hotel which stayed similar experiences. Marriott- you are much better than this! at is why we are titanium level members - but- But we just experienced the worst Marriott stay in our lives at the Aloft Sarasota downtown. In short- do not stay here! It seems that Aloft has trie

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April as part of a fly drive trip to Florida (we are from the UK) . The rate was very reasonable compared to similar hotels nearer the coast, but we didn’t mind the short drive to the beaches, it’s only 12 miles to the fabulous Anna Maria Island. The welcome was great at reception, and the Hotel was clean throughout and very modern. Our room was standard Hampton Inn, very good. We didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked lovely. We can’t put our finger on it, and this is not a complaint, but the breakfast, while very good, was not excellent as we have found in previous Hampton Inns. Probably it was the choice of only one flavour yoghurt, and my husband was not too sure about the scrambled eggs. However, we enjoyed what we had at breakfast and everything was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn again,, and probably try the waffles for breakfast next time.

Was looking specifically for property with 2 separate BR/BA and "kitchen". Location is right across from SRQ. The front desk staff was fantastic--so friendly with a "can do" attitude (the staff at The Modern and Art Ovation could take lessons from these folks). Room was very spacious and comfortable. Lighting is too dim in the kitchen and needs stronger bulbs. Good refrig with automatic ice maker. Cookware must be 10 years old--at least invest in non-stick or provide steel wool pads to do dishes. Kitchen did not have a baking pan but staff found one in 5 minutes and also supplied me with aluminum foil. Very easy to cook basic meals there. Lot's of outlets to plug in electronics and work areas. Pool area furniture is filthy and old--wouldn't want to touch any of it. Needs new hairdryers. The smoke detector went off every time I dried my hair. Grill looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months so that wasn't an option. Property has complimentary basic breakfast. All in all, great team and great location. Not fancy in any way but really met our needs

Think twice before booking this place. It is located directly on a very busy road with lots of traffic noise. All rooms are accessed by an exterior door, many of which are rusted and/or in bad condition. When I arrived, there were lots of questionable characters hanging around in the parking lot. The entrance to the lobby resembles a sally port at a low security prison. There are two sets of doors to go though. After the first set of doors there is a glass security window with a round metal speak-through. When I arrived I was the only customer there. I entered the check-in area and I was told by the person at the desk that I had to check in via a device that looked like one of those interactive bank teller machines featuring a live person on a screen. The odd thing is that when the next customer arrived to check in, the person at the desk did it personally. ???? In fairness, the room was clean. But overall, this is a good place to avoid.

As many of you may have heard, the Embassy Suites Hotel and Bridges Restaurant will be changing ownership on April 20th. I am so grateful to have worked for Innisfree Hotels and Mr. & Mrs. Bridges for several years. I have had the opportunity to offer my Sol's NYC Cheesecake and Deli Corner at both the Hotel Indigo and for the last couple of years at Bridges Restaurant. It has been my pleasure to serve everyone that has made the trip to the eighth floor to enjoy great views and great dining. Effective April 17th, Sol's Deli Corner and SOL's NYC Cheesecake will no longer be available. On April 20th, I will be taking much-needed time to relax and do some projects that have been put on the back burner while working many hours over the last couple of years. I can assure you that I will be back, and when I do, I will let you all know where. My SOl's NYC Cheesecake is available at a few local restaurants at this time, and more to follow. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support over the years!

Absolutely terrible. We had to call the front desk 3 times over a period of an hour and a half our first night there, exhausted from travel, to get an extra blanket to go to bed. That's how the trip started. The hotel and room are very clean and the view of the bay is beautiful. That's it. There are ZERO amenities at this hotel. ZERO. Horrible service at the pool with one bartender/server for drinks and food, JUST ONE, while literally every chair there was completely occupied all day. It closes at dusk so you can't eat outside. So you have one completely overpriced restaurant inside with very, very limited food items. The only option for breakfast is the full service sit down restaurant. They have ZERO convenience items or food you can buy, even a simple bagel, nothing. It's not close to ANYTHING. There's no pharmacy or convenience store or even a decent restaurant to get food at. I can't believe with COVID conditions that this hotel can't step it up and offer more options to guests, instead they have this crappy limited menu that's entirely overpriced and drinks are through the roof, and I'm not a cheap person. Good luck finding the towel room if you go to the pool, that took me another 15 minutes in itself. We left there and literally went to the Hampton Inn at University and the room and hotel was just as clean, it had all kinds of amenities, it had a Nordstrom and a fresh supermarket AND by the way every night you filled out a form and checked the items you would want for breakfast and you could check whatever and whatever quantities and they had a little bag for you every single morning packed and ready to go at your request, no charge! I would never, ever stay at this lousy hotel. If you like the view take a picture and book somewhere else!

We booked a room last minute after being underwhelmed at lodgings in Orlando. The beach called us, and boy did Sandcastle deliver! We got into a gold coast room, and while it was an older unit, it was clean and comfortable. The queen bed was firm with cushion, the fridge worked, and the back door opened directly onto the beach. Service was friendly, helpful, accommodating, and just overall happy to serve the customer. We ate breakfast at the poolside restaurant and found both food and service to be excellent. I felt like I was tucked into a quiet, little gem to peacefully enjoy solitude and recharge my soul. I am Charmed. Room 104. Very private. Close to ice machine.
