Extremely well placed establishment in the old neighborhood of Lucerne. Just a few steps from the old bridge and the shopping street. A few minutes from the station. The checkin is made in a neighboring hotel. In fact, there is no one here. You can park in the outskirts of the city and walk (7-8 minutes quiet) However, the rooms really make vollelot. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. Too expensive for what it is, we pay the location. I admit that we were really disappointed by passing the door. As for what, photos ...

The apartment exceeded my expectations in its spaciousness, facilities, ease, and location, It had views of the river and the covered bridge! I got the family room with 2 bedrooms and it was huge with a wrap-around balcony. There were enough beds for 8 (2 bedrooms with double beds in each, then 2 sofabeds -doubles). The kitchen was full-sized, very well-stocked with all plating, utensils, knives, pots, etc. No spices, oils or foods- you bring your own. The bathroom was HUGE and we had our own WASHER/DRYER in the room. No instructions but you can always google, right? I think this was only for this room because there were instructions to go to the second floor for laundry. Keep in mind: The elevator only goes up to the 5th floor and then you have to walk to this penthouse suite. There is no AC; they had a fan in every room so it is not an issue. Unless you are always sweaty It is in the middle of the town and 6-7 minutes walk from the train station. Neg: There are a lot of instructions to clean up after oneself that reminded me of AIRBNB but in the end, all I did was load the dishwasher and throw out the trash. Which was acceptable overall.

This hotel is better than its excellent location, one is close to the railway station, and the other is the scenery is superb. The room is not big, the kitchen stove is right next to the bed, it doesn't feel very good. There is no oven, only induction cooker and microwave, cooking facilities are average. The bathroom is relatively spacious. What impresses people is the elevator, which is so compact that it is impossible for a family of three and our luggage to go upstairs at once. There is no air-conditioning in the room. The Swiss high temperature this summer, there is only a floor-standing electric fan, it is not very comfortable to sleep at night.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Lucerne. A great choice! I had communicated with the hotel via email in advance, and they were very responsive. NOTE: The hotel is located in an area that is a no-car-zone. The website states you can be dropped off, but our driver would not do it, so we ended up schlepping our luggage several blocks over cobblestones. When we arrived around 11am on a Wednesday our rooms were ready (thankfully!) so we were able to take the luggage up, freshen up a bit and head out to find lunch. The hotel is located literally 1/2 block up from the river. A perfect location near all the restaurants on the riverside with a view and tables outside. You can easily walk from the hotel to the train station, both famous bridges, and shops all over old town. We booked a Superior Double Room on the 4th floor. There is an elevator. The room had a king bed, a desk with chair, and another comfy chair. We had a corner room, so plenty of windows. The bathroom is tiny! Decent closet with a safe and a small fridge with free water and a few creamers. There is NO air conditioning, but we were able to open the windows for a fairly good cross-breeze, and the overhead fan is efficient and quiet. There is street noise until about 10 - 11pm. We could hear the restaurants putting the tables/chairs up for the night, but after that slept quite well. When we had the windows closed there was minimal noise. Bed was comfy. Like many European hotels, they don't have a top sheet - only a comforter. (too hot for warmer weather with no a/c). I suggest using the blanket from the closet, or asking for another sheet if that would be a problem. The restaurant attached to the hotel is Italian. The pizza and salad were great! And good wine and beer choices. A bit expensive (as is everything in Switzerland), but filling and tasty (and convenient). The breakfast is at a nearby hotel and was very good. It is not included, but had a great menu and good coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay here again.

Nice location. Simple self check in process. I got no PIN code for opening the door outside. And the lift is a weird one. My room is on the 5th floor, and it’s actually a cabinet with beams above. If you’re higher than 1.75 m, you should consider your head’s feelings.

It was only 15 mins walk to Lucern train station and a lot of shops, restaurant and supermarket near the hotel. It was very convenient for a family with kids. It also had kitchen and we could cook for myself instead of eat outside ( The price for eating outside in swiss was very expensive). However, the entrance door was always closed when we came at night .It could not be opened with my room card. Luckily, I encounted another guest and he asked his partners to open the rntrance door. Otherwise, I and my family might need to sleep on the street at night. Please improve your system.

My husband and I stayed at this very pleasant hotel for 5 nights. Our quiet room faced the river, with lovely views. Our bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed getting chocolates every night. Convenient to the train station as well as the Old Town and shopping districts. The front desk staff greeted us warmly upon arrival and was available to answer questions throughout our stay. Our bathroom included L’Occitaine bath products and a tub as well as an enclosed shower. I found the shower somewhat claustrophobic, but my husband liked it.

The Staff was very friendly, one of them was Kevin (I Think), and also two other ladies also on the desk was very helpful in guiding us regarding our travel. We stayed for 3 days and the whole concept of the Hotel was different. We had an infant with us and wanted to change the room we were allotted and they readily agreed and luckily they had one bigger room with king size bed to accommodate them. The breakfast was regular and most importantly the staff being very nice and helpful, which has made an impression on us as this was the first time we traveled to this city. For the amount you pay for this Hotel in Lucerne, it's certainly very cheap for the services you get. It's based on a Theme so most of the rooms have bunker beds so even children would love it. Not much space inside the room or shelves to keep stuff. But then its a budget Hotel. Would stay again if I visit this city again. Its 8 minutes walk from the Station.

Like Lucerne, the hotel is also good, spacious and comfortable and bright, the bathrooms in the rooms are large, breakfast is on the first floor, the content is rich, and individual tourists and tour groups are separated, which is good. I stayed for two nights, and one of them was on weekends. I did n’t know where there were any parties nearby. The singing and joking noise continued into the middle of the night, which really disturbed the people. It seems that the quality of Westerners is not as evaluated.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the river and the station. Walked it both night and day and I felt very safe. Reception is clearly signposted and you walk through a little outdoor area with chairs and tables to get there. There is a lovely reception/restaurant area (where you can also grab your coffees) Check in was easy and fast. The staff were very friendly. We seem to have a large room with a balcony area which had a couple of chairs and a table outside (not every room had this). Restaurant was open from about 7/8am where I was able to grab a coffee and soft drink. A clothed Iron was available on request. We explored the city at night and the reception area was shut by the time we got back but the room keys gave us access through a different door which was really useful. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay and I would absolutely return.

It is the most satisfying hotel in Switzerland. The rooms are small, but the decoration is relatively new, but their corridors are really narrow. It is estimated that Europe is more expensive, haha. The breakfast was quite rich. I stayed for two days. I met the Chinese waiter the next day. The communication was much more convenient. Haha, the restaurant was great. I went to dinner with my husband at night. The atmosphere was very good. The waiters were very friendly, patiently introduced, and ordered a bottle. A beer that doesn't know what the name is, it's super delicious.

My wife and I stayed for three nights at this charming hotel in mid May. Situated about 10-15 walk from the town centre and facing the lake it was a delight to stay in. The staff were all very professional and helpful and they all made us feel welcomed every time we bumped into one of them. Our room faced the lake and had a small balcony which was great to have a glass of wine and watch traffic go by. The promenade out by the lake was a perfect way to walk and relax and enjoy the area. The hotel was very clean and any question I had was always promptly answered. We enjoyed our stay so much we would have stayed another night if we could have cancelled our travel plans for the day we had to leave. Overall a great place to stay!

Hotel breakfast 40 francs is a bit expensive, but there are many varieties, croissants are soft and delicious, there are 4-5 kinds of cheese, you can also squeeze a variety of juices, vegetable juices, smoked salmon tastes very good. The pictures are all views from the window. See the beautiful scenery of Lake Lucerne. Because it is this, we evaluate 5 stars. The hotel is 4 stars in size and has the same facilities as the domestic express hotel. The room is quite large in Switzerland. The balcony is very nice to see the lake. It takes 8 or 9 minutes to get to the lake. There are more places to eat around, and the bus is still close. Go to the hotel to take the little cable car. The breakfast variety is too small, 30 Swiss francs a person, it is really cheaper, it is the simplest breakfast in the entire Swiss itinerary. The breakfast restaurant can see the lake, it is still good. The overall layout of the hotel is very good, people like it very much, the hotel service is also very good. Specifically, the hotel has a shuttle bus, saying that it can only be sent to the bus station from the hotel, and then take the bus to the train station. The driver actually sent us directly to the train station that day, touching. Lucerne is not big, the hotel location is OK, and it is convenient to go anywhere.

Hotel location is fantastic. Less than 1 minute walk from the information center located from the train station. Hotel room is fine but the edges of the bed frame protrude out hence one needs to be more cautious. We arrive at 7pm on a Sunday evening and check in was quick. Will appreciate if WiFi password and Lucerne Visitor card are given upon check in instead of having to request for it. At 11pm, when i tried to input the WiFi username and password, it shows Credit used up. I called the reception for assistance and was told to come down to the reception. After going down, I was given another print out of the WiFi username and password. I do not understand why this cannot be communicated over the phone. Went back to the room, tried the new username and password and it still doesn't work. Only managed to login to the WiFi the following morning when I went to the reception and get another user ID and password. Not sure if this is common in Switzerland but this sure is my first encounter.

There is no air-conditioning in winter, but opening the windows is good enough! The room as a whole is so clean! The staff at the front desk are very kind and answer all questions! And the hotel is 5 miles away from the scenic spots, just walking distance! Moreover, a small supermarket is opposite the hotel, and it only takes a few steps to buy snacks! Please consider all reviews from previous guests before booking this hotel. If there’s a -1 rating I would give it to this one. Hotels like this should just shut down and not be in this business. Bring your rude staff with you too. This is the worst hotel in the world! Upon arrival you would feel that you made the wrong decision. The hotel smelled so dirty and old. Who knows when was the last time they cleaned it. The people working there does not have a clue what they’re doing. They can’t find my reservation so they have to call the manager to find it. Bad customer service. I’ve had a couple of bad customer service experience but nothing compared to this one. The manager was VERY VERY RUDE!!! Every time you ask her help, her response is “I don’t know!!” like she doesn’t work there. She was not willing to help people who paid decent money to stay at this horrible place. The hotel amenities were horrible too but not as bad as the customer service. We stayed in the building not connected to their check-in lobby. The building was a place that filmmakers would use to create horror movies. The lobby at this building has no steady light. It was on a timer and would turn off after 5 mins. So when you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the shared bathrooms, you would find yourself unsafe to pass by the lobby since there were no lights. They have a washer and dryer which is great but no English instructions. When you call the receptionist for assistance, she would response in a discourteous way. Nobody in this hotel wants to help you. What they do is to take your money and leave you hanging. Please don’t ruin your trip to the beautiful country of Switzerland by staying at this awful place.

This hotel was rated 4 out of 5 stars on TA. I respectfully disagree! First, I'll share the positives.... the rooms were updated with laminate flooring, fixtures and colors. The breakfast was pretty decent with a nice selection of fruits, breads, juices and cereals and 2 hot items. For $225 per night, I had higher expectations. Now, my issues..... - From entering the building I got the feeling of a Hostel, not a hotel. The fact that there was a Hospitality Mgmt school to the right as you enter the building and the hotel to the left, made me a bit concerned. There were no barriers or locks between the 2 entities at any level. At one point, I had to walk around (a very RUDE) school employee to get our luggage up some steps by the school as she sat there and never moved away from the entry door to the Hotel side! - Front desk personnel was very direct and not exactly friendly (although she did help with my parking). There is NO ONE at the desk from ~19:00 through the morning. No one to contact if needed!! - THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS! You get one 3-level fan for circulation. It was 85 F during the day, which made it hot at night. Windows opened, but no screens. Very uncomfortable and not expected for a room of this price. - I booked a 3-bed room which was very tight for 3 people. Basically 3 twin beds and a bathroom (shower only) - The lock on the room door is UNSAFE! There is no regular locking door knob, You have to use the key to lock if from the inside and/or the outside. I needed to run to the car and wanted to lock the door as I left; I had to lock my family into the room in order to take the key, which was needed to enter the hotel front door, too. - I stopped at the front desk to get ice after check in and they responded that there was none. - The WI-FI WAS BAD!! It was constantly dropping the devices. Had to regularly ”forget” the network and re-registering for the Wi-Fi. - The shower head was a hand-held mounted on a vertical pole. The bracket that held the shower head would not stay in place and kept sliding down the pole.... made for a frustrating shower. - There is NO space to sit outside of this hotel. We had a 1st floor room with no balcony. The only space was a patio that was designated as a student smoking area (which happened to be right next to our room!!!) - Parking - Only 5 spaces behind the building; beyond that, not sure where to park. We were lucky to get a space, but the gate to get to the parking area is locked when the front desk person leaves, so had to walk 10 minutes around the block to get to my car in the evening. - There was a motion activated light in the area outside of our room window that continually lit up at night. I wasn't sure if there was someone out there or what was setting it off??? I would NOT recommend this hotel to my friends.

Very old hotel, the elevator is very small, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs twice when you get out of the elevator to go to the room, so if you have big luggage, be sure to tell the front desk to give you a room without going through the stairs. There is no air conditioner in the room, but a hair dryer was sent with a loud sound, cold air from the front, and hot air from the exhaust vent at the back, so you know that the temperature of the room basically does not change. Fortunately, Lucerne is not very hot at night, and the room is large enough , not stuffy. The service staff perform normally, not particularly enthusiastic, nor unfriendly, which is okay. There are no toothbrushes and slippers in European hotels, so you need to call to ask for them. The location of the hotel is very good, you can see the Huaqiao when you go out. Overall it is good.

I was really excited to start travelling after 2 years hiatus. I chose Switzerland as I had already made plans for the a 3 weeks trip in May 2020. I had to cancel it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I picked Alpina Hotel in Luzerne due to its great loation and affordability. It is near many eateries and other attractions. I booked 2 rooms; 338 and 339. We get to enjoy the street view and marvelled at the beautiful building opposite our rooms. I noticed that the opposite building was built in 1537 [ need to confirm this ]. The street was generally quiet except in the mornings when rubbish trucks cleared did their cleaning. The room has simple layout and mine has 2 sinks in the living area. The bed and pillows area are comfortable. The bathroom is small but all items worked well. I did not see any staff at Alpina as most of them were based at the nearby sister hotel, The Monopol, which is located about 20m away. Checking in was fast and easy and it was done at Monopol. I was grateful for all the guidance and assistance provided by the receptionist. Alpina hotel is located about 110m away from Luzerne Train Station and it was relatively easy to find. My room ; 339 is bigger than 338. All in all, I had a really great experience staying in this hotel.

The hotel location is 15 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. The first time is hard to find. The hotel is in an inner street. The navigation must be well used. There are many attractions near the hotel, and it is convenient to cross the river to the old town. Breakfast at the hotel is ok, you can eat it full, meat and cheese are abundant, breakfast must be full, you can save a lot of money. The hotel room is very clean and comfortable. The only bad thing is that the hotel has cooperation with local travel in China. It receives a lot of Chinese tour groups every day. The key point is here. The 3 days I stayed, the tour groups I met were very unqualified. Noisy, the corridors are not soundproof, they are particularly noisy, which seriously affects the rest. It is recommended that the hotel area be divided into tourists and tour groups. Breakfast should also be staggered. Otherwise, there is nothing to eat. . The hotel does not provide a kettle, but there is a public hot water insulation pot, but the temperature is not high, you can only drink, not tea.

A few minutes walk from Lake Lucerne. The apartment is a two-story loft. One bed downstairs. Two beds upstairs. The bed is opposite the skylight. The apartment facilities are perfect. You can cook your own meals and have a small terrace. The small wine room is a simple color of wood and white. Overall the house is very satisfied, but there is a little dissatisfaction because the room was already set up without giving the apartment building password and room password in advance. I ca n’t go downstairs to hit the owner. The phone didn't work, and I was trapped downstairs twice before and after waiting for a resident in the building to open the door before we could get in. The service was not very good.

So the vibe is Queen Victoria meets Heidi, drawn by Walt Disney! We stayed in one of the 4th floor suites and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The decor is Victorian and you could mistake this for the Fife in Braemar Scotland. Funnily enough the Fife is owned by Swiss art dealers. The stand alone bath, with huge drapes and gilded mirror, is the campest thing I've seen in a long time! The views are stunning; overlooking the old town and lake from a high position on the hill. The town is accessed easily either by using the funicular or walking through the park. You can get buses at the bottom of the hill, which are regular and clean, but the town centre is a ten min walk away. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The bar is great to relax in and take in the views. Breakfast is perfectly adequate for a 4star hotel. A very good experience.

Very nice apartment, take the key yourself, put it into a small box after check-out, the room is bigger, there are kitchen utensils to cook for yourself, there is free parking space downstairs, much better than the Swiss cabin hotel, the Swiss cabin is too bad too Poor, very unfriendly to the Chinese, and according to the head charge, after check-out, I want to put the self-driving car for ten minutes, rare, such a bad hotel, unforgettable Switzerland!
