We recently returned from a four night stay at the Camellia Inn in mid March 2020. We have stayed here on several other occasions and this visit was like all the others - fantastic! The owners Lucy and Archie are great hosts and are friendly and helpful. They are long-time Healdsburg residents so they know the area well. If you need a good recommendation for food, a winery, or activity in the area - they are a great resource. Breakfast is from 8:30am to 10am and was always delicious. The rooms are spotless and cozy. It is a wonderful relaxing place. The Inn is one block away from from several fantastic restaurants in downtown Healdsburg, including Single Thread, Valette, Dry Creek Kitchen (2 blocks), Baci (3 blocks), and Barndiva (4 blocks). There are other great nearby restaurant options that Lucy and Archie can recommend as well. The Inn is about 2 blocks from the town square. There are lots of quaint shops nearby. Healdsburg is centrally located in Sonoma wine country. It is easy to get to the Dry Creek area, Russian River Valley, and Alexander Valley. Napa Valley is about 45 minutes south and the Anderson Valley is about an hour north. We would highly recommend this Inn!

Ru's Outpost consists of three beautifully appointed one bedroom cottages just a half block off the Healdsburg square. Each unit is different with the Gimlet being the largest with a full kitchenette (cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, Keurig coffee maker and a toaster). Clementine is a smaller kitchenette without cooktop, dishwasher, cookware and ice maker. Fig does not have a kitchenette. Cottages have porches with Adirondack chairs, dining tables, flat screen tv with Dish, gas fireplace, modern white interiors and furniture in a seaside style, large showers, very comfortable beds, central air and heating and many windows. Set on a side street that is quiet. Check in at the adjacent Duchamp Hotel Suites (this hotel has six very modern suites around a large pool and jacuzzi, refrigerator only). Those staying in Ru's Outpost have their own smaller pool and full access to the Duchamp large pool and jacuzzi. Shaded parking off street. $20 daily credit to dine in or take out at Costeaux French Bakery across the street serving breakfast and lunch 7-3 (fabulous food, bread, pastries and other baked goods). All the great restaurants in Healdsburg are within easy walking distance as are the art galleries and clothing stores. The Farmer's Market on Tuesday and Saturday is a short walk. I cannot say enough good things about the accommodations. Worth a splurge and ideal for couples' getaways. No pets or smoking allowed.

We just returned from a visit to the Healdsburg Inn, if your plans include touring the Russian River Valley and surrounding wineries the Healdsburg Inn is the place to stay. They are in sync with what it takes to make your stay memorable from making reservations, offering opinions on wineries, and providing the amenities that are necessary. It rained quite hard all during our two day visit and we wanted to just get out and walk around so they provided extra large umbrellas to keep us dry...just one of the out of the way items that increased their value...Great Inn

We stayed for a company retreat and had an amazing stay. Rooms were clean, modern, comfortable and stocked with complimentary snacks. Housekeeping left cookies for us at turndown which was a nice treat. Breakfast is included, they have a cold continental buffet set up in the lobby, when you sit (they have waiter service) they give you a menu to choose your eggs or omelet or pancakes. They have complimentary wine nightly in the lobby and some nights have live Jazz. We had a private dinner one night in the Porch room, food and service were Impeccable. The spa is very small but nice and treatments were great. They have a very small pool but it is heated. Bikes are available to ride around town. All staff was polite and helpful. Overall amazing experience.

The hotel is lovely and modern in a perfect location in the center of a lovely town. However, I don't understand the raves about staff. The valet (you must park valet) was nice, but he was also the front desk person and everything else. The place is run by 1 or 2 nice and well meaning 20 year olds. I don't mind that, but the price is very high and I expect more for that. I know the hotel was no where near full and was surprised not to be offered an upgraded room. I couldn't even get a local map or local area suggestion until the concierge was on duty 2 days into our stay (she was very nice). Breakfast is at the sister property 2 doors down. It was a Denny's quality breakfast. i don't mind being outside, but every day the heaters were out of gas and it was cold-- you have got to be kidding. Keep extra bottles on hand. The rooftop bar was OK but again only a couple of heaters for the entire terrace. Brrrrrr. Cold - so ate, drank and ran after paying a LOT. I would not stay here again. I know it is the time of Covid but I don't like that no provision was made to replenish the consumables in our room (like coffee, creamer, and bottled water).

My husband and I were married in Sonoma in March 2019. At the recommendation of our wedding planners, we decided to stay at H2...and boy, were we not disappointed! We absolutely love a boutique hotel and this spot did not let us down. From the second we pulled up, to when we left, the service was phenomenal. The staff was kind and on point, but super friendly and down to earth. The lobby layout is really cool--the desk splits the restaurant from the hotel lounge and pool. It's a very open, airy layout, adding to the earthy, eco friendly feel of the hotel. Our room was ready at check in. The room itself had a huge closet, super comfy king bed, and a very cool open concept bathroom. Lots of light and a cozy balcony. They even had free snacks! The hotel knew it was our wedding weekend and had kindly left us a bottle of champagne--such a nice touch! We didn't have a single issue our entire time there-from the lovely included breakfast at Spoonbar (with mimosas) to meeting the chef and chatting with staff. Our room was kept perfectly clean and anything we needed was at our fingertips. Additionally, the location is wonderful. Healdsburg itself is charming and this is walking distance to everything. Oh--and the hotel is pet friendly! We would not hesitate to stay here again. They can be a bit pricey, but the price is absolutely worth what you get.

A friend and I booked a double room in this hotel for a work trip. And by that, I mean we worked in our hotel room most of the time. The suite layout was great for this purpose: roomy enough for both of us. I sat at the desk and she at the kitchen counter. Kitchen is stocked with the essentials: dishes, storage containers, utensils, one cutting board. However, one of the pans was very scratched and should have been replaced. (Please note that when nonstick surfaces are scratched, they release chemicals and can be toxic.) We stayed mid week and the hotel was quiet. The blackout curtains were excellent, a must-have for late sleepers. The bed was on the soft side, which was not ideal for me. (I prefer a firmer bed.) The bathroom's quite large with ample counter space. There's no soap dish, which we found a little strange, but you can just leave it on the counter and it sticks to it. The closet is located in the bathroom, which makes for a quirky layout. Overall, furnishings were modern and new, though some of the dresser drawers (located in the bathroom) were difficult to open and close. Also, our room had a balcony and the deadbolt and the hole for the deadbolt didn't line up precisely, so you couldn't fully deploy the deadbolt. The door locked, but barely. A few words about the pool: I have a disability (not visible) and swimming is one of the main ways I manage my pain so a pool is one of my requirements for booking a hotel. The pool is outdoor and heated. It was about 45-55 degrees in February when I was there, but the pool was warm enough to swim in. It's not very big — it took me about 12 to 14 strokes to swim across diagonally, but it was adequate. (Speaking of disability, I also noticed there were rooms specifically for hearing impaired people.) Breakfast is included in the rate and goes until 9 on weekdays. It's pretty standard hotel breakfast fare: scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, breads. There is a convenience store (no prices were posted that we saw) and a robot will apparently deliver items to your room! (We didn't try this.) What isn't included in the rate, though, is a $20 destination fee per day. Perhaps this covers the cost of the 375 ml bottle of wine they give you upon check in. On the last night I switched to a single room, and it was just as nice. The main difference between the single and double was that there was a large shower instead of a tub. Overall, a good stay. Quiet, roomy, and clean.

I'm usually skeptical about moderately priced hotels but this hotel clicked all the right boxes for my business travel. The hotel has been recently upgraded and my room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The mattress on the bed was very comfortable.

First of all, based of earlier experiences, let me say that this property is very good, great rooms and customer service. However, if you make a reservation through the Best Western website and have to cancel, you may not get your deposit back right away. I cancelled two September room reservations I made on July 11th, and inquired when I would get my $700 deposit credited. The email I received from customer service said, “ Unfortunately, since the pandemic started, it has been taking up to 90 days from your cancelled date to see these deposits reflected on your statement”. After two months of waiting, I called and left a message with the General Manager. My Amex account was credited on September 15. Sorry Dry Creek Inn, this is NOT an acceptable business practice. Next time I make a reservation with this property, I will be using Expedia, who credits your account within days after a cancellation.
