Visit in (Corona-) Summer 2020-Terrassenzimmer "Green" Location: However, the city centre is quietly located (* with limitation) *At this time the directly opposite large construction site (cars sometimes directly before the entry of the deep garage) was in the final stage. At 7 p.m., the flat craftsmen dropped large stones on the loading surface of a kipper, which lasted a wake call over the phone wacker. However, the building site also had a surprising advantage, so that in the evening in this corner (by the building site-gate-block of the Prütznitzstr. of the entry of the Bautzner Str.) in this lively scene district, with many “freisizens” in the summer of the small sticks where there is already a certain noise level, The theatre's game bar and restaurant was completely closed in summer 2020, so it was very quiet in the evening in the direct environment (which may be completely different in the “normal operation”! ) Rooms: booked was a terrace room, of which there is in Hotel 3 (green, yellow, lila). All are located in the upper floor (no lift in the house). Unfortunately it is not so easy to find where the respective room is located, or how the geographical orientation is. Therefore, here is a short overview. “Lila” is backwards with the north-west orientation to the prügnitz and probably the most quiet and “greenest”. “Yellow” is south-east, With view of the (without Corona?!) Innerhof/Freisitz and access to the deep garage. “Green” has a south-west orientation with view of the Jewish cemetery and view of the Louise road, in which Zenit directly falls under the sun in summer. The room is Clean and on the terrace you can make a nice glass to sound day or night. Shower (in fact standard) was not available and should be brought with. Wi-Fi was disturbed (but in repair), but you had full LTE reception. The bed in the terrace room is very flat and low, which is certainly no problem for younger people, for older people maybe already. Furthermore, the “corners” very loading and you can be able to hit your leg there, liked to be repeated;-) breakfast buffet standard meets it best. Yes, in principle everything you need, but also not “specially” or “raffined” and for €14 per person additionally, no good price-performance ratio. When undercover there is no buffet! We were booked in here at the end of our cycle trip from Prague so the choice of hotel was more for the convenience of the cycle hire company than anything else. That said, it's a good quality hotel, the reception staff were friendly and helpful in advising the best walking route into the Altstadt, and the breakfast choice in the morning was excellent. The rooms were on the functional side with few frills, as you get with this sort of chain, but all perfectly acceptable.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Our room was spacious, and rather sumptuous—it was quite romantic, as advertised. It was also very quiet, even though it was on a corner of the hotel, overlooking two streets. This is a tranquil corner of the “new town,” although the area is full of galleries and a number of good restaurants not far away. The AC was great (it was 98 degrees one day, so we really appreciated it). We stayed four nights, and the hotel was so comfortable it felt like home. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly. They helped us figure out the tram routes and advised us on the most economical way to buy tickets, which enabled us to go to some terrific restaurants outside of the center. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel—there are several good cafés five minutes away. The location was perfect, if you like to locate slightly outside the tourist scrum. It was about a twenty minute walk across the bridge to the old town, which would have been a jumpy place to stay, with lots of mediocre restaurants and cafés and hoards of tourists. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Dresden! If you get a chance, I’d particularly recommend Restaurant Stresa. Much more reasonably priced than Caroussel, and if it isn’t as plush it nevertheless has an innovative chef who’s going to be a star. The setting is sleek and relaxed, too—especially if the weather’s nice and you can sit outside.

We stoped there (with a reservation) for the night while driving further for our holidays. The hotel, which is part of the Relais & Châteaux brand, is nice enough. However, I am not sure I would warrant is the Palais title: the outside, while nice, doesn't look exceptional in any way when compared with the surrounding: it looks like a big house - while the inside is modern and doesn't make you think of a Palais. However, it was nice, clean and well kept. Regarding the service however, this is where my biggest issue lie. I've had the opportunity to visit several 5 star hotels so far, and this one was not was not on paar with most previous experiences - while they advertised valet parking, they did not provide this service for us - rather than offering to help us with our luggage, we had to ask for their help. No welcome drink either, and we're not asking for much: a simple glass of water offered during check-in would have been enough. I've seen better in 4 stars. The hotel restaurant however was very nice, and their tasting menu lovely. I would eat there again.

We stayed one night in a suite at Vienna House booked through booking.com after filtering for 5 star hotels in Dresden. When arriving it became clear that this hotel does only have 4 stars. We spoke to booking.com and they said the rating is provided by the property and we need to speak to the hotel management. The hotel management then said that it is correct that they have 4 stars but they have 5 points at booking.com. Nobody can explain what the difference is but the hotel management does not see a problem at all. From our point of view this is completely miss-selling and just wrong. The hotel itself is not bad, the location in the city centre is excellent, the rooms are clean. However, the guest service (not only dealing with our complaint) is sub-par (ie we could only choose to have breakfast at 7 or 11 am or a limited room service option), they were not able to book a dinner table at a local restaurant and other basic services were missing (ie it is not easy to actually reach the hotel by car as in central square and the parking is at a different place and not easy to find; so I would expect that when we in advance messaged that we will arrive by car that the hotel provides some information which didn’t happen). It is generally not a bad hotel but miss-selling at 5 star (also here at tripadvisor which receives ratings from other external websites) is just wrong. Therefore I can only rate with 2 points. Instead of a reasonably priced 5 star hotel this is an expensive 4 star option. Please be aware when booking.

In principle not bad. Except for the small things. We arrived at 14.45, settlement from 15.00. We were asked to wait, apologized for a glass of beer in the restaurant. But it was almost up to 16 that some tense. The room has no custom facilities in the bathroom. Only at the shelves and in the shower are two bottles of general purpose, you want - my hands, you want - body, you want - head. It's good that I took a hair conditioner for any case, otherwise from that water would go with a straw not to shave. The door was trying to come in the morning, although we had to release the room at 12. The door is right near the bed, that is, when the room is in, the cleaner sees what could have happened in the bed, that a few... Not very))) Otherwise, staff is sweet, welcome. We’ve stayed here twice as a pit stop on our journey. Great hotel. Staff very friendly and professional. Great customer service. Rooms are on a small side but very functional and spotlessly clean what was very important for us during COVID pandemic. We found out from the staff that they actually take everything (kettle, mugs and many others) out of the room after each guest checks out and leave it for 3 days to make sure it’s COVID safe for another guest. The garage have few spaces avail for the guests what made us relax and not worry about our car which was packed full during our travels. We had some food in the bar and it was absolutely delicious. Same as cocktails - they were very good. My favourite was Gin Basil Smash but I also liked the MyOwnCrestion - Cocktail with home made (by the barmaid) lavender syrup and cucumber foam. There was a QR code on the table which after scanning give us access to a full bar menu on our phones - very safe.

We spent seven nights in Dorint Dresden for a private stay in Dresden. A major advantage of this hotel is its traffic-friendly location: the old town with its attractions is in a footing distance, the tram driving in Dresden at close distances holds almost outside the door. The hotel itself is not new, but the public areas make a well-treated impression and our standard room to the indoor courtyard on the second floor was clean, spacious and very quiet. The room design is originated from another time, which has not disturbed us, but modernisation should necessarily be accompanied by additional sticks. The service in the house was professional, the staff were friendly and accessible to the guests' concerns at any time. The breakfast offer was in line with the "international standard" for a hotel of this category, the fresh egg food and the associated supplements were much better than in many other hotels. Critically, the great offer of sauce and bakery products in Dresden and the surroundings was only extremely limited - backbrushes, cutting etc. were acceptable standard products as they exist everywhere, But with which you don't even get off. Damn. The high prices in the deep garage (17 Euros per day) criticized in other reviews can easily be handled with a 10 Euro cheaper parking behind the hotel. However, this price policy is incomprehensible. On the house policy of non-cleaning of rooms for sustainability reasons, note: The daily cleaning of rooms can be logged in at check-in - you are explicitly asked by the receptionist - that then works without any mistake. It is only strange that Dorint does not give incentives to refrain from cleaning - targeting a bad consciousness is rather contraproductive. Finally, the daily opening of the bar in a well-booked hotel should be obvious. The bar staff makes a great job. Overall, Dorint Dresden is very recommendable for a short stay, even if there and there is still "air up". We would come back.

The hotel is located next to the Frauenkirche in Dresden. There are many attractions around it. There is a square outside the living room and bedroom windows, and it is also close to the Brühl platform and the princely column map. We are a family of three, a couple with a nine-year-old child, the hotel fee is paid through Ctrip in advance, the child does not have an extra bed, and an extra 5 euros per night will be charged when checking in. It feels that European double beds are made of two single beds. The overall feeling of staying in was good, the second and third photos were taken hurriedly and unclearly. There is a dedicated living room, which is very convenient for watching TV and eating. The kitchen and toilet are not photographed. The kitchen does not have an oven and has an electric stove. In the morning, someone is charging, and there is no need to pay for parking. This city is a legacy city of World War II. It is said to be built in the later period and is very beautiful.

Average room, with basic amenities provided. Complementary bottle of water too. The room was cleaned and tidy. The furniture is a bit old, it could use some renovation. Not a very large room, but was manageable for two people. The bathroom looked also very clean. Regarding the noise from the street, specially due to its proximity from the train station, yes, it is a bit loud during the daytime, but during the night we had no complaints. Although the hotel does not provide private parking, you can park the car next to the hotel in a secure building for a friendly price. The breakfast was not very good no, unfortunately the croissants were not fresh and the choice was not very wide, pretty standard. Good location though, you could walk to the city center in 10 minutes.
