7.84km from Brushy MountainWe stayed here and had high hopes since the pictures look good. Pros: you can walk to and from Downtown Gatlinburg which is a huge plus because traffic is awful for such a small town. Also parking in Gatlinburg is not free unless you park away from the city. The river behind the place is nice. You can hear it and it’s a nice sound to fall asleep too. They also have a nice fire pit outside and a grill area. Parking was free. They have breakfast there which is a win bc the breakfast places are so swamped. It’s just built into the cost of your room. We decided to opt out of that one. Cons: lighting is pretty dark when you enter the room. The door to get in, you can see slivers through the outside/inside. The bathroom: needs a paint job. Chipped paint everywhere. The ceiling you can tell there was a bit of water damage (we stayed on first floor). The towels were tough feeling. They were the ones you use at the pool.. you know white with a blue or green stripe. The towels also had curly light brown hair in them. Three out of the five towels I picked up I examined had hair. Each day they brought new towels but still had stuff in them. They also did not quite clean because there was stuff on the toilet seat rim in addition to crumbs on the carpet near the bed when we first arrived. And even the next day, the crumbs were still there. There was also leftover food in the fridge when we checked in. The beds were comfy but the sheets and blankets had stains on them. The ceiling definitely needs work as it’s starting to crack and there’s also water damage. WiFi was also poor. According to my laptop, it was also not secure to connect to it. Didn’t know my computer was capable of telling me such thing since I’ve logged into many public WiFi’s before. Considering COVID, the rooms should have been exceptionally cleaned. But they were not. Which is why this review is happening. Let’s put some effort in...like cleaning the most obvious thing... the fridge. I see replies from the owner to several posts about they’re updating. I can tell you they’re not. Landscaping yes, renovating no. I would recommend spending more money and going elsewhere. We left early and checked into a new hotel.
