Terrible customer service.. unsafe, guests smoking inside, fighterdogs running around in the hallway. Complained at check in and when complaining on check out i had to talk to 3 diffrent people and still noone could file a complaint. I had my family over from sweden with young kids. Neighbours were dealing drugs and smoked weed in the hallway while a fighter dog ran towards the kids and into our room. Fine, the staff cant control it since its unmanned but they can make sure that the doors to the hallway locks and be polite when taking complaints. Got offered 10% on my next visit... what a joke.. Spend ur money elsewhere

Reasonably good hotel. More in tune with a younger customer. Rooms are basic(UK standard would be a Premier Inn). Breakfast is pretty impressive and the area location is good. Good food n drink hall next door. Staff are very helpful.... excellent. Reminder for non Nordics flying in to main airport.....avoid taxis at all cost. 30km cost us 1500 krona! Generally around £5 per mile!!!!!!

We stayed just for one night and everything went fantastic. Two ladies in the front desk welcomed us with a huge smile and proceed to do the check-in. We got two double room, one of them was nicer than the other, but it was all clean and you'll find everything you need. They don't have parking, but you can park in a parking lot just next to the hotel (that was quite expensive though... 270NOK per 24h). The location is great. There are universities around so it's kind of a young atmosphere but really quiet. It took us about 30min walking to get to the center of Oslo through nice streets and spots nearby. To be honest I was kind of afraid about the breakfast (I'm vegetarian) but I got shocked when I saw what they have: plenty of raw nuts, all kind of milk, cereals, muesli, fruits, bread and wasa,.... It was a shame to stay just for a night.... next time we come back to Oslo, we will definitely choose them again!

There is free coffee and sparkling water in the lobby, which is very intimate in Norway, where prices are high. Breakfast is very rich and excellent. There is a supermarket near the hotel, there is also a movie theater, a new shopping mall has been opened, and the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the subway station.

I stayed in this hotel on business and was pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. The bed was extremely comfortable with fluffy comforters. There were two large nightstands and a work desk, as well as a larger chair with a side table. There was plenty of room to walk around. There was also a refrigerator, an iron with an ironing board and a safe. There was sufficient space for clothing in shelves and on hangers. There were 2 full-length mirrors. The bathroom had one sink, but the room was a fine size, at least for one person at a time, and the shower was more than big enough. There was a hairdryer and several amenities for the shower as well as a little vanity kit, shower cap and shoe shine pad. Breakfast has the usual offerings: some hot items such as eggs, sausages, tomatoes and potatoes as well as lots of breads, lunch meats/cheeses, vegetables, fish, yogurts, drinks and more. One may also order breakfast prepared a certain way and one may order breakfast to the room. There was ample seating. The dinner menu looked great, though I didn’t have the opportunity to eat there. The lobby has a fireplace with large chairs. They had a little table from which they served fruit, cookies, candy and water. The hotel is conveniently located directly next to the underground station and there is a large shopping mall a five-minute walk away. I enjoyed my stay and can recommend this hotel.

Location is the best thing about this. Check-in was self-serve at a small terminal that also creates your room key. Without staff, check-in is impersonal. Only one of two lifts worked during our stay, and it was very persnickety about keying for the designated floor with multiple guests in the small lift. Seems every time we (or someone else) used the lift it would skip our floor in favor of the other party. Our room was small, barebones, and very dimly lit. The bed was relatively comfortable but was placed too close to the wall, making it difficult for a second person to enter the bed from the other side. The bed was comfortable enough and had all non-feather bedding, which is great for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately, there were no power outlets whatsoever near the bed--terrible for those needing to charge phones and devices at bedside! A simple power hub on the shelf above the bed would resolve this issue. The room had no minifridge and no coffeemaker. The bathroom was a good size and well-lit, but there was little counter space. The shower (only) had some mold in the tile grout; housekeeping needs to give that a good scrubbing. The shower water pressure was great and the hot water stayed hot. There was a wall-mounted hairdryer. The free WiFi was strong but was not password protected (boo!). Though the location was good, I'd be inclined to look elsewhere the next time I'm in the area.

We arrived from Bergen via train and the walk to the apartment is so easy and near. The apartment has a supermarket right next to the lobby which is so convenient. Convenient stores and restaurants are accessible. We walk everyday to train station, probably around 5mins. Easy to take the bus to places of interest with bus stop right nearby. The apartment seems new, large and very clean. Enough space for family of 4 or up to 6. Equipped with dishwasher, stove, washing machine, dining table, living room, fridge! All you need is available. We made our breakfast and dinner sometimes. It was a good 6 days! Train ride to airport was easy and fuss free with 2 large luggage and 2 small cabins. I will recommend to stay here if you are traveling to Oslo.

In My work I meet many hotels. Upon coming to Oslo S I had a splended vegan meal at Leon at the trainstation. Walked 4 minutes through the City life and entered the classy Thon Hotel Spectrum. The atmosphere and politeness of the receptionist made me feel welcome, at home and calm. The room was Nice. After relaxing I had a meal at Falafel King 200 meters from the Hotel. Perfect. The breakfast was the best The biggest suprise. After eating in severel of Thon Hotels in Norway and other Hotels the latest year, this was by far the best!!!! Highly recomend Thon Hotel Spectrum if you like to feel welcomed, at home and cared for in a buissy life.

We, two adults and two youngsters, stayed in this hotel for three nights, room 339. The hotel room was very large, actually a suite, and there was really a lot of space for the whole family. There was also enough space in the toilet to organize one’s things there. The cleaning had been done very well, and we are picky about that. The sound insulation was very good. The shower worked well. The main bedroom had a nice view down to the lobby. The service was good and the receptionists were helpful. The location was nice close to the center and there were many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. However, the hotel was not exactly in the center and thus we found the hotel area very peaceful in the evening, which was nice. The room was also very peaceful in the evening. There was a covered parking garage reserved for hotel guests right under the hotel – very convenient. The breakfast in the hotel was quite nice with a lot of variety. If going to Oslo next time, we would definitely consider this hotel again. We also found Oslo to be a very attractive city overall.

The hotel is extremely funny. We arrived at the hotel around 11.50 in the evening. Because of the car, we went to the hotel and asked where the parking lot was. The hotel description clearly stated that there was a parking lot. He said that let us park the road and give the money directly. We went. The total price of 295, one night, may be due to immediately 12 o'clock, paying two credit cards failed, go to the front desk, and then. . . He took us to the hotel's parking lot, 250 at night, and there was a sign at the front desk, clearly describing the hotel parking lot, 250 nights, which made me very upset, obviously the hotel parking lot did not let us stop, let us Spend more money on the roadside? ? ? What is this operation?

Great rip of. Do not go there! Here is our horror story, (spoiler alert, the best part is the conversation with the head of frontdesk, last 2 paragraphs) We checked in and got the keys of apartment 150. After steping in, we noticed it smells as if it was closed for sime time. Shortly after my wife spots a huge spider in the corridor. It is ok, these things can happen... After walking into the bathroom two more spiders enjoying life in the shower's ceiling. 3 in one room in different places it's an issue. I go to the frontdesk and after sharing the experience they say they can't move us as it's fullybooked and that the spiders must have gotten in because a host left the window open. Up to you to have an opinion on that but how unlikely is that 3 spiders decide to break in at the same time and how unlikely it is that the 3 of them happen to be hanging out nearby the window when it's -5°C in 41 F in Oslo. Anyway, we go to the new apartment 128, looking slightly bigger. There are 3 individual beds in the room, i move them to put together (we travel with a 2 year old) and i found a half eaten cookie. After checking more carefully we realize that the floor nearby the kitchen is also full of old bread crumbs/dust and etc, the small table by the window is also covered in dust. Clear cleanning issues. I run into houskeeping stuff when I am on the way to the frontdesk to report this and she asks if there is any problem. I explain and she comes in to clean. Shortly after my wife goes to the bathroom and finds out that the seat is filthy, as there is some urgency decided to clean it up with baby wipes in order to make it usable. The last surpise in the room was waiting to be unveiled under the bed i did not move where I found nail parts... With all this, I walk to the frontdesk and share this with the recepcionist. The lady there is horrified by the stories and points me to the manager. I explain all the above and his reaction is surreal. Not only he is not apologetic nor empathic at all for such a horrible guest experience, but instead justifies the dirtyness of the place saying things like, "apartments are always like that", "this can happen because guests in apartments stay for longer periodes", "details that the cleaning stuff my have overlooked but that people can report", "That if there are small issues he can send housekeeping and that is it" "that they already went the extramile by changing our room in the first place, when they never do for a small spider (almost said in a sarcastic way), "that these are all small things". He says that the apartments are managed by another company (the property combines hotel and apartments) and fails to point me at some person in the apartments management team! After a long back and forth about all that and confronting him with the fact that he is trying to normalize and defends dirtyness and poor service, I told him that the price I am paying does not reflect the quality of the

I booked this hotel for a night but stayed for two nights cos we were not able to go to Tromso as we came from UK and were not allowed to tour unless we had ten days quarantine. We were lucky to book at this hotel cos the receptionists were very helpful and accommodating (especially Matilda). We were on quarantine but did not feel the pressure. We enjoyed our time inside the room with food and drink served/delivered right at the door. Breakfast was so appetising and it took us til lunch to finish. We inly had to order supper thru app. The room on 9th floor was so clean with lovely (smell) toiletries and plenty of towels. The corridor is clean and quiet. We had a restful night. I recommend this hotel if you come to Oslo, 30-34 mins from Oslo airport. Plenty of shops around and a bar at 34th floor of the hotel. They also have plenty of elevators A to H that is operated by the key card so it is safe. The pool and fitness gym are closed due to Covid and in general, this hotel looks safe from Covid with its hight tech sanitising spray on all corners. We’d love to stay again here if ever we get a chance to come back to Oslo.

In beginning of August 2020 the upper floors of the hotel underwent some renovation/maintenance, which was audible from 9am. Therefore the hallway was protected with plastic and entrance to our room was smeared with white footprints. The carpet in our room 2206 was stained and also old and dirty - would need to be replaced; heel/sauna sleepers would be nice to keep feet and socks clean from the dirty carpet. Breakfast was a total disappointment - don't blame it on Covid-19 because hotels of the Nordic Choice chain (e.g. Quality Hotel) had a lot more options to choose from for breakfast and in the same period. Was a big big disappointment that a 4-star Radisson Blue hotel was bel to offer just scrambled eggs and not also fried eggs for breakfast. Everything cold was in small jars which was unnecessary in my opinion. Breakfast was not 4-star but 2,5-star at the best. The pool is like from a horror movie.

My wife treated me to 3 nights here in December and it was fantastic. Check in easy. There’s coffee and tea in the reception and sometimes a plate of biscuits. There is a separate locked room to store luggage until check in. And then this can also be used at check out. The apartments are huge with everything you need, a mini kitchen, tv, sofa, dining table and large bed. The bathroom has a heated floor which was great. The location is pretty good with a few restaurants nearly. And less than 10 minutes to walk to the tram/bus station at Solli where it is then fairly easy to get around the city. Too be honest it’s not too far to walk into the centre either which we did several times. One thing to remember is that unless you pay extra there are no cleaners during your stay. This didn’t bother us as we wouldn’t change bedding and towels daily at home. On our last morning we followed the guidelines to take our own rubbish and recycling to the bins in the basement area before checking out. A wonderful apartment which we would definitely recommend and revisit should we come back to Oslo.

Oslo Central Railway Station is on the edge of the hotel, but you have to pick out the exit. In fact, you don't have to export. You can go straight through the mall. It is very convenient. It is convenient to take the train. Walking to various attractions, going to the statue park, we are also walking, this city has a lot of rain, with rain gear. Breakfast is very windy, eat well, fruits and vegetables, continental breakfast. The front desk is welcoming and will meet each other every day. The size of the room is ok, and the entrance to the train station can be seen from the window.

Second stay here, 4 stars last time, definately 5 stars this time. Love the 7th floor, some may say it's a bit noisy here but I love hearing the trams late into the night and early morning also you could just hear the metro but the view from the 7th floor is great day and night! All staff are fantastic, the room is kept clean, this was my only complaint last visit was room service missed me, but not this time, perfect :-) There is a huge choice of hotels in Oslo, but if it feels right don't fix, I go back to the same place, see you again very soon I hope Scandic Grensen!

Liked · Location was excellent, 10 minutes walk from station or 2 stops on the tram. Very central so shops, restaurants, marina were all within a short walk. Public transport within 2 mins. Room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, maybe extra pillows would have been nice. We had a 7th floor room with balcony. Double glazing was good and completely shut out any road noise. Shower was good and nice big fluffy towels. The room was equipped with Nespresso machine, kettle, iron and ironing board (pop up), hairdryer, safe and slippers. Breakfast was a good selection with bacon rolls, a waffle machine, noodles, hot and cold choices and lots of fish and fruits, and also pastries. Everyone should be able to find something. Staff were very friendly. Bar prices in line with Oslo standards. Will definitely stay again as I hope to return when the weather is warmer.
